I had a great experience on this tour with Karim! He was very knowledgeable and passionate, and I learned so much about Egypt, its history, and its culture. He also speaks excellent Spanish and knows a lot about Spanish culture, which made the conversations even more interesting. He was very attentive to my preferences and adapted the tour accordingly, making the whole experience feel personal and enjoyable. Visiting the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum with him was a great way to learn more about Egypt. And as a bonus, Karim is also an amazing photographer! He took some really professional-looking photos of me throughout the tour, which was a nice extra touch. I really enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend Karim to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging guide!

Later visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), located just minutes from the Giza Pyramids. As the largest museum dedicated to a single civilization, GEM offers a fascinating journey through 5,000 years of Egyptian history. Explore the expansive exhibition halls at your own pace, guided by your private English-speaking guide, and admire over 100,000 artifacts, including the complete treasures of Tutankhamun. The museum’s modern design combines contemporary architecture with ancient motifs, providing a stunning setting to appreciate Egypt’s cultural legacy.
Embark on an unforgettable journey to the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and oldest of the Giza Pyramids and the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Standing at an original height of 146 meters, this architectural marvel was constructed over 4,500 years ago as a grand tomb for Pharaoh Khufu. During your tour, you'll explore the intricate design of this ancient masterpiece, from its massive limestone blocks to the internal passageways that reveal its extraordinary engineering. Learn fascinating stories about its construction, purpose, and the mysteries that continue to intrigue historians and archaeologists today.
Discover the fascinating Pyramid of Khafre, the second-largest of the Giza Pyramids and a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. Built over 4,500 years ago for Pharaoh Khafre, this pyramid is distinguished by its unique design and the remnants of its original smooth casing stones at the summit. Standing at 136 meters, it appears taller than the Great Pyramid due to its higher base on the Giza Plateau. Your tour will delve into the history of its construction, the advanced techniques used, and its connection to the Great Sphinx, which is believed to bear Khafre’s likeness. A visit to this iconic site offers a deeper understanding of ancient Egypt's grandeur and ingenuity.
Explore the Pyramid of Menkaure, the smallest yet most charming of the three main Giza Pyramids. Built over 4,500 years ago for Pharaoh Menkaure, this pyramid stands at 65 meters and is renowned for its intricate construction using granite and limestone. Despite its smaller size, it showcases exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, reflecting the significance of the pharaoh it was built for. Your tour will reveal the pyramid’s fascinating history, its unique architectural features, and its role within the larger Giza complex. Gain insights into the legacy of Menkaure and the enduring mysteries surrounding this ancient wonder.
Experience the breathtaking panoramic view of the Pyramids, where the majestic trio of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure stands proudly against the desert backdrop. This vantage point offers a perfect opportunity to admire the grandeur of these ancient wonders together, capturing the essence of the Giza Plateau in its entirety. The panoramic spot is ideal for photography, providing a stunning perspective of the pyramids aligned in harmony with the vast surrounding landscape. As you take in the view, your guide will share fascinating stories and historical insights, making this moment an unforgettable highlight of your visit to Egypt.
The Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple of King Khafre are two of Egypt’s most iconic and mysterious landmarks. The Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, is believed to represent King Khafre himself, standing guard over the Giza Plateau. It is one of the largest and oldest statues in the world, measuring 73 meters in length and 20 meters in height. Nearby, the Valley Temple of Khafre, a stunning example of ancient Egyptian architecture, was once used for royal funerary rituals. Its massive limestone blocks and well-preserved statues provide a glimpse into the grandeur of the Old Kingdom. Together, these sites offer a fascinating insight into Egypt’s ancient religious and architectural legacy.
Step inside the main galleries to marvel at the intricacy of Egypt’s art, from colossal statues to detailed jewelry and sarcophagi. Your guide will walk you through the thematic exhibits that trace Egypt’s political, cultural, and religious evolution. The highlight of the tour is the Tutankhamun collection, where you will see the iconic golden death mask, ceremonial artifacts, and personal treasures of the boy king. This immersive experience allows you to gain an in-depth understanding of one of Egypt’s most fascinating pharaohs, while the museum’s state-of-the-art conservation labs ensure these treasures are preserved for generations.
Conclude your GEM visit in the grand courtyard, home to monumental statues, including the colossal Statue of Ramses II, carved from a single block of red granite, and the world’s first hanging obelisk. Stroll among these masterpieces while enjoying panoramic views of the Giza Plateau in the background. Before departing, take time to explore the museum shop or enjoy refreshments at nearby cafés and restaurants. Your private guide will ensure a seamless experience from start to finish, making this visit to GEM both educational and unforgettable.

A 'must' in Cairo. Great expositions about the ancient Pharaoh's empires with a spectacular exhibition of the findings in Tut Ank Amun's tomb. Take two days, if you can. The in-person-guided tour was better than the audio guide. But better, if you do both.
The best tour guide we had in Egypt, we only wish we didn't book our other tours in advance so we could book Ahmed (Sassan) with driver, Amir, for all of our tours. They were on time, with water and VERY informative. Ahmed answered all our questions, and we had many, never rushed us, took SO many great photos. Really the best experience with him and again, our driver, Amir. Would recommend 100%.
Michael was an amazing Egyptologist, and this was one of the best tours I have ever taken in my life!!! we learned so much, and every moment was filled with amazing memories 💜
Our experience on this tour was absolutely appalling. We booked what was advertised as an 8-9 hour tour of the pyramids, including unlimited bottled water, skip-the-queue access, a camel ride, a traditional Egyptian lunch and a tour guide who would make the experience memorable. What we actually received was a rushed, poorly organised and deeply disappointing experience that fell well below what we paid for.Almost none of what was promised was delivered to the standard as promised. Firstly, the tour was advertised as including unlimited water on board, yet we received only around two bottles per person. This is not what was promised and is particularly unacceptable when spending hours out sightseeing in the Egyptian heat. We were also supposed to have a camel ride. We chose a horse and cart instead, as this was more suitable for travelling with our toddler. However, rather than our tour guide accompanying us and making sure everything was properly organised, he stayed behind chatting to other people. We were left being taken by a driver to a hill for photographs, which lasted approximately five minutes. This was a huge letdown and certainly not the experience we had expected. The situation with tipping was particularly uncomfortable. We were happy to tip the driver for his service, as we understand and respect local tipping customs. However, after tipping him, we were told he wanted more money to take us back. We felt pressured into handing over additional money simply to get back, which left a very unpleasant impression. Tipping should be voluntary and based on the service received, not something customers feel forced into paying. The lunch was another major disappointment. The tour advertised a traditional Egyptian lunch, yet we were taken to what was essentially a takeaway. This was not the traditional dining experience we had been led to expect and felt like another promise that had not been fulfilled. Throughout the tour, the guide repeatedly walked away from us to talk on his phone. We did not feel that we were receiving the attention, guidance or professionalism we had paid for. A tour guide should be present, engaged and focused on their customers, especially when they are responsible for a family travelling with a young child. Instead, we were left feeling as though our experience was not a priority. We also specifically booked this tour expecting skip-the-queue access, but this benefit was not provided. This was one of the advertised reasons for choosing this particular tour, making its absence even more frustrating. The tour was advertised as lasting 8-9 hours, yet we arrived at the pyramids at 11:42 am and left at 4:00 pm. We then had to rush around the museum because of the time lost, leaving us unable to enjoy the experience pace. The whole day felt very rushed and poorly managed, completely undermining the purpose of booking an organised tour in the first place. To make matters worse, on the drive back to the airport, the tour guide decided to have the driver drop him off at his own home. The driver then continued the approximately one-hour journey back to the airport with us. We had booked a tour guide to provide a service to us, not to have our time used to accommodate his personal arrangements. This was extremely unprofessional and completely unacceptable. Finally, before we left, the tour guide asked us for tips for both himself and the driver, requesting the same amount for each. After the disappointing service, the missed inclusions, the rushed itinerary and the uncomfortable experience with the driver's additional tipping demands, this request was the final straw. We were left feeling that money was being prioritised over customer satisfaction. Overall, this tour was nowhere near worth the money we paid. Too many advertised inclusions were missing or fell short of expectations, the time management was terrible, and the tour guide's conduct left a great deal to be desired. Rather than enjoying one of the most iconic historical sites in the world, we spent the day dealing with poor organisation, and unnecessary pressure around tipping. We booked this tour to make our visit to the pyramids special, particularly as we were travelling with our toddler. Instead, we were left frustrated, disappointed and feeling thoroughly let down. The experience did not reflect the advertised itinerary or the level of service we reasonably expected. I would strongly urge anyone considering booking this tour to think carefully and to check whether the advertised inclusions will actually be delivered. Based on our experience, I would not recommend it. Would have much rather gone on our own.
Michael was a great tour leader and helped us a lot during the day! A great egyptologist who knows how to explain and describe the things! Highly recommend! ⭐️🇪🇬
Amazing trip to the pyramids where everything was organized very well by our nice and very informing guide 😃 also the GEM was very incredible and good history knowledge of the guide
Our guide Sameh was outstanding! The tour of the pyramids was fantastic! His English is excellent, he is very knowledgeable, and he never made us feel rushed. He showed us all the highlights of the spectacular Egyptian museum, again his knowledge is so impressive! Ahmed was a very good driver, making us feel safe in the crazy traffic! I would highly recommend Sameh as a tour guide; he is the best we have had in Cairo and Giza!
This is a must do tour! The guide, Muhammad Saeed, was professional, kind, & very knowledgeable about all things Egypt. He gave plenty of time to do things on your own. The tour also allowed adequate time at each location. I didn’t feel rushed at all. A tour guide can make or break a tour sometimes. Ask for Muhammad when selecting this tour. You won’t be disappointed.
Mohsen is a top notch egyptologist. He was very accommodating and a superb guide! Our driver Salah kept us safe between our travels. Overall it was a memorable experience to be treasured . I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience Egypt and Giza in particular the way it should be.
Asma is so good. Really knowledgeable and easy to understand. Anyone who gets her is so lucky. Thank you!
Asma is so good. Really knowledgeable and easy to understand. Anyone who gets her is so lucky.
An amazing experience! Of course, its everything you would expect, with towering monuments, amazing artifacts, and historic culture. But having Michael as our personal tour guide, all of this eye candy was given context and understanding of the time. Michael was extremely knowledgeable personable and attentive (my wife is not a fan of hiking in the heat, but he made things quite comfortable )
Had an amazing experience with Mahamed Mohey as my guide. He has so much knowledge of Egyptian history. Would definately recommend.
The pyramids and sphinx are of such historical importance and just wonderful to see them in their raw state. touring is made easy with busses and being able to hop on and off at the different sites. The guide was fantastic as well as our driver. we booked for the entrance to the two available pyramids and despite it being hot and quiet a climb within the pyramid it was well worth the climb
We had a truly wonderful and memorable day exploring some of the treasures of Cairo, visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum and the magnificent Pyramids of Giza with our excellent guide, Mona, and driver, Sayed. Mona was an exceptional guide. Her knowledge of Egyptian history was wonderful, but what we particularly appreciated was the way she shared it with us. She explained everything so clearly and brought the history to life, happily answering our questions and giving us time to really enjoy and appreciate what we were seeing. Visiting the GEM with someone who could explain the stories and significance behind its incredible treasures made the experience so much more meaningful. And then, of course, there were the Pyramids. Nothing quite prepares you for standing in front of something you have seen in photographs all your life. To finally be there, looking up at these extraordinary monuments and contemplating their age, size and history, was something we will never forget. I even decided that if I was at the Pyramids, I simply had to take a camel ride! Rod opted out, but I absolutely loved it. 😂 It was great fun and certainly added another special memory to an already unforgettable experience. Our day also included a traditional lunch at a local restaurant where we enjoyed delicious grilled chicken and rice. Rod was brave enough to try the grilled pepper as well — perhaps a little too brave! 🌶️😂 It was definitely far too hot, but gave us something to laugh about. We also visited the Government essential oil centre and a papyrus shop, where we learnt a little more about these traditional Egyptian products and crafts — and, of course, we couldn’t leave without purchasing a few things to take home with us. 😉🥰 Throughout the day we were provided with plenty of cold bottled water, which was very much appreciated in the Egyptian heat and meant we stayed well hydrated and comfortable. A very special mention must go to our driver, Sayed. The traffic in Cairo has to be experienced to be believed! 😂 What appeared to us to be complete chaos was obviously perfectly normal to him. He was calm, capable and an excellent driver, and we felt completely comfortable and safe with him throughout the day. Mona and Sayed were both professional, friendly and caring, and we felt very well looked after from beginning to end. It wasn’t simply a day of sightseeing; it was a wonderful introduction to Egypt, its extraordinary history, culture and people. Our first visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Pyramids of Giza will certainly remain one of the highlights of our time in Egypt. Thank you, Mona and Sayed, for making our day so special. ❤️
Great experience with a very informative and friendly guide Mona. All fees were included as were transfers from Giza to the Egyptian Museum. Very good day lasting 6hrs . Fantastic atmosphere from start to finish - highly recommended
It was an amazing amazing day, the day started of great with our tour guide Asma coming to pick us up with our driver, we embarked to the pyramids and she picked up our tickets and we went on a camel ride which was great, we then proceeded to the Pyramids were Asma explained in detail facts and stories about the Pyramids, the Sphinx. We then went for lunch and to some attractions before we went on to the Great Egyptian Museum where Asma demonstrated how knowledge prowess with detailed explanations on artefacts that piqued our curiosity. It was a great day !!!
This was a very fun day that went quickly. Our guide was very good and knowledgeable and we enjoyed all the different elements of the itinerary. Great Choice.
Our host, Muhammad, was fantastic—engaging, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the history of the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Museum. Even with limited time at each location, he made sure we learned the most important facts and answered every question thoroughly. The tour was well‑planned, efficient, and delivered everything that was promised. Overall, a memorable and very well‑guided experience.
Michael, our Egyptologist, and Ahmed, our driver, were both amazing. Michael’s expertise really showed throughout the tour. He explained everything clearly without ever making it feel overwhelming. He also knew exactly where to take the best photos and captured some fantastic pictures for us. An excellent experience from start to finish. Highly recommended!

I have traveled to various countries and experienced a variety of excellent tours. This was incredible and very easy to arrange. What truly made the tour memorable was the tour guide Mariam. She provided extensive knowledge and truly knows her craft. We toured the pyramids, local attractions, the world famous museum, and excellent food. Excellent English and helped me navigate various areas that could easily create challenges for a traveling foreigner. She truly put me at ease and offered honest and valuable advice. I spent 8 hours with her and her driver. Which by the way, he was a safe driver in an aggressive driving environment. Can’t say enough about that. Mariam helped me get the pictures of a lifetime and she knew everyone. I took inventory of the other tour guides and they were no match for the Mariam Experience. If you want the best experience in Egypt, this is the hidden gym among the incredible sights! If there were more stars for this review, she would get it! Thank you!
Very knowledgeable and on time. Made the whole experience very seamless and easy would recommend to others.
The best tour I have ever experienced. Michael is the reason you come to Egypt. He was passionate, knowledgeable, and personable. He has blown every tour guide I’ve ever had out of the water - no hidden stops and points scammers out to you. Communication pre-tour was great. Vehicle was clean, cool, and equipped with water and snacks. A bonus…Michael was also a fantastic photographer and knew all the good spots.
We had an extended layover in Egypt and enjoyed taking advantage of our time there to see the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum. That said, what we got from this experience was less than what we hoped for: 1. Driving in Egypt is very different from driving in the US where we're from; even so, the driver we had was comparatively more reckless on the roads than the cars surrounding us. The driver weaved between cars, accelerated quickly and slammed on breaks, and had several near accidents. This is coming from people who have experienced driving in India, Vietnam, and Peru. 2. Having been on many other tours in the past in other countries, I was surprised that our tour guide didn't take advantage of the time we had in transit to chat with us, share about life in Egypt, Egyptian history, nor culture. Instead, we asked a few questions here and there, but the tour guide spent the majority of the time texting on their phone... This continued even when we were walking around the sites. The tour guide continued to be occupied on social media, with text messages, or even taking phone calls while with us. I understand this is fine when waiting for us as we ate lunch independently, but when with guests? At the sites? Hmm... we found this to be quite disrespectful. (I will acknowledge, the guide did provide information and offer to take photos throughout our experience, but there was a disproportionate amount of time they spent on the phone.) 3. The tour guide stopped us multiple times to use the restroom and grab coffee for themselves. That's completely fine with us, as these pauses didn't really cut into our tour time, but I was surprised our tour guide never asked us if we needed a break or would like to stop at the restroom ourselves. Of note, to anyone planning to visit these sites while on an extended layover, plan to schedule the tour start time at least 2 hours after your anticipated landing time. Getting a transit visa and getting through immigration took far longer than we expected.
Mina is a fantastic guide. His knowledgeable and passion for his culture and its history are obvious in his approach to his tour.
There is no better guide for all things Egyptian than Amal! She held her own in a clearly male-dominated industry. Her knowledge and demeanor were impressive!!
We had an amazing experience during our 8-hour tour of the pyramids and the museum. Everything was perfectly organized from start to finish. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Egyptian history, making the entire tour both interesting and enjoyable. The van was comfortable, clean, and made all transportation smooth and stress-free. What stood out the most was the guide’s professionalism and willingness to help with everything we needed throughout the day. We learned so much and truly enjoyed every moment. Highly recommended for anyone wanting a well-organized and memorable experience in Egypt!
Our tour was to see the highlights of the GEM and the pyramids of Giza. Our guide Michael is a very knowledgeable and well educated Egyptologist who gave us the best tour of our trip. His extensive knowledge of hieroglyphics and ancient Egyptian history as well as his great sense of humor made for a fun and engaging day. Michael is not afraid to take conversations to a deeper direction once he understands your interests. And he’s an awesome photographer! All around wonderful experience and highly recommend
The tour was very interesting. Our guide Elhem was very familiar about the sites. She was also knowledgeable about the pyramids and the museum.
We had an incredible 8-hour private tour of the Pyramids and the GEM, and it was all thanks to our guide, Sameh. He is incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and passionate. Navigating the Grand Egyptian Museum can be daunting, but Sameh curated the experience perfectly, highlighting the most important artifacts with fascinating stories. At the Pyramids, he knew all the best photo spots and kept the pace comfortable and stress-free.
We took this tour with Aya. As soon as we booked, we received a message to arrange everything. She explained everything to us and took us to places we wouldn’t have discovered on our own. It’s definitely worth it.
Habeba our tour guide was the best. She made the entire day interesting and worth while. Best tour to get convenient experience of the pyramids and Grand Museum.
We had our best and most interesting tour with Habeba. She knew a lot of history, had a good sense of humor, and made the program very interesting all throughout the entire day. I recommend requesting her when booking this tour.
Today we had an amazing experience with this tour. Our tour guide, Max, was very knowledgeable and provided important historical information throughout the day. Before the tour he kept us informed of our pick up at the hotel. We were also dropped off at the hotel. The driver was friendly and kind to open the door for us every time. They made us feel special. Max was flexible with our desire to have local food and my wife and I enjoyed a delicious lunch. The visits to the Pyramids and Grand Egyptian museum was amazing. Maxx had all ready and we had easy access, great information and made our day productive. We are so happy we booked this tour and highly recommend it
We had a very pleasurable and historically very informative day in the excellent company of Michael
We had an amazing day! Yasmine was an awesome Tour Guide and Ahmad was the greatest driver ever. We gained a lot of knowledge at the Pyramids of Giza and at the GEM.
The private tour with Mona was excellent. She is very knowledgeable, answered to all our questions, and let us decide the pace of the tour. She waited for us while we had a lunch break and we never felt rushed. She was also kind enough to take photos of us. We highly recommend her for any activity in Cairo or surroundings.
Our first trip to Egypt was something we’ll never forget—and that’s largely thanks to our incredible guide, Asma. We were staying in Sharm and booked a day trip to Cairo to see the pyramids. Naturally, we felt a bit nervous heading into such a busy, unfamiliar city, but from the moment Asma and our driver picked us up at the airport, we felt completely at ease. They both took such great care of us throughout the entire day. Asma guided us through Cairo and Giza with total professionalism and warmth, showing us all the best spots around the pyramids while sharing fascinating insights into ancient Egyptian history. Her knowledge is truly remarkable—she explained everything from hieroglyphics to historical context in a way that made it all come alive. We learned so much, and it never felt overwhelming—just genuinely exciting and engaging. The day was perfectly planned. We visited a few local shops, enjoyed a delicious lunch, and finished at the Grand Museum, where Asma once again brought everything into context with her deep expertise and passion. Even after such a long day, she remained patient, attentive, and thoughtful—especially as we were exhausted from all the travel. At the end of the day, she made sure we got back to the airport smoothly, and saying goodbye was genuinely hard. Asma made us feel safe, welcome, and completely looked after from start to finish. We honestly couldn’t recommend her more highly. She made our first experience of Egypt unforgettable.
Unfortunately/fortunately, this was our first tour in Egypt and they set the bar really high. First, the vehicle was clean and the driver was nice and helpful. We were traveling with elderly family members plus a kid and he was helping with getting them down the van step and opening the door. You would think this is standard but we learned the next tour day that it isn't. Our guide, Amal was flexible on our private tour to accommodate things we prioritized like getting lunch at 9pyramids and shopping for certain things. She was proactive in taking our many picture requests and always advocating for us whether it was getting our camels , getting to the front of the line to buy tickets, or shopping for the best prices. Our elderly family members were walking slow so she also waited patiently and assisted in getting them golf carts as well. Most importantly, she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer our questions. We trusted her and her company so much that after our 2nd day tour with another company turned out disastrous , we asked for her help in getting transfers etc. Price was actually very reasonable and good value. Definitely recommend.
My guide Ahmed Elsayed, was the most knowledgeable, interesting, helpful and considerate guide anyone in Cairo could want. He knew more about the pharaohs and their wives than they knew themselves. He made it a totally outstanding tour along with his driver Ammar, who maybe should be driving in the Paris to Dakar race, the way he could get through the tight and rough spots, on the roads Cairo.
Mrs Elham our tour guide was amazing she knows everything about the ancient Egypt she is very kind and sweet and she is very good at her job. Also she helped us to find more activities in Cairo, like nightclub, Nike cruise, Fayoum , shopping malls and traditional food. I definitely recommend her
It was a painless experience from start to finish. Our guide Michael was awesome. He took the time to explain everything as well as help us get some great pics. The lunch he picked for us was delicious as well. It was a great experience.
Amazing day! Our family private tour of the Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum was great from start to finish. Our guide, Amal, connected with us right away and provided the historical details and context of the ancient Egyptians at the Pyramids and museum (especially at King Tut exhibit) . We also enjoyed a camel ride and traditional local lunch. Interacting with Amal and learning about the ancient as well as daily life was just perfect.
Had a wonderful experience with Muhammad saeed as our guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Made for a great experience. Would definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a great guide
It was an informative tour with Mohammed Mahoy answering questions. He took pictures of me and facilitated the purchase of my tickets when I had issues with the website and Internet connectivity. I didn't like the shopping aspect as I have no interest in shopping when I'm on holiday
