We had the most incredible day at the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) with our guide King Mina and our driver George. Mina is not just a guide, he is a true Egyptologist. He made the whole museum come alive - from Tutankhamun to the grand staircase, he knew every story, every hidden detail, and he explained everything in perfect, clear English. No rushing, no boring dates - just fascinating stories. He also knew exactly where to go to avoid the crowds and get the best photos. Our driver George was fantastic too - safe, on time, super friendly, and the car was clean and comfortable with AC. We felt totally taken care of from hotel pickup to drop-off. If you are visiting Cairo and going to the GEM, ask for *King Mina and George*.

I was in Cairo on a one-day stop over, but I really wanted to see the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) having toured the old museum in Cairo about seven years ago. All the sections of the GEM aren’t open yet, but WOW! There is so much to see that a tour guide is definitely worth it unless you plan to visit over many days or you are yourself an Egyptologist. :) I can recommend this tour booking as very flexible, professional, and easy. There were no problems and no stress. I received both a email and texts from the guide ahead of time confirming all arrangements. My hotel (Le Meridian) is located at the Cairo airport which is great for a stop over but, inconveniently, on the opposite side of Cairo from Giza and GEM. My guide, Bisho, picked me up at my hotel. He was 100% on time and on top of our itinerary. Completely stress-free. No problems. The car trip to GEM across Cairo was, again…no problem. My guide was a safe, calm driver who can navigate Cairo traffic and still manage to point out interesting local landmarks. While I am comfortable as a solo female traveler with a male guide, this tour offers a female guide on request which I think is a cool and thoughtful option. The pacing and depth of the GEM tour itself was perfect! I never felt rushed or pushed to move along onto the next exhibit before I was ready. The guide is a very knowledgeable Egyptologist and was able to tailor the tour to my specific interests, answer any questions and make sure we saw all the museum highlights including new pieces added recently. Basically, my guide, Bisho, and tour were awesome! I am so glad I got to see this amazing museum so easily and enjoyably with while on a very short trip.

Mina was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable on Egyptian history. Very much enjoyed the museum. You could spend a week and not see everything. Mina made sure we saw all the highlights.

The museum has a massive display of Egyptian history, highlighted by the King Tut exhibit. There is far too much to cover in a few hours so it’s good to have a guide to lead you to the highlights. Our guide was right on time and was passionate about Egyptian history but spent far too much time talking about hieroglyphics which apparently was his specialty. Ala in all it was a good tour.

I was recommended Marsil as a tour guide by a friend to show me around Egypt and I could not be more happy with my experience! I had the pleasure of spending 4 days in Cairo and my tour guide Marsil and private driver Kero planned every day for me from hotel pickup, tours, lunch, dinner and hotel return. Marsil is a university qualified Egyptologist and her knowledge of ancient Egypt and its history is amazing, she had in depth explanations of every site and location we went to and kero patiently waited in the car the whole time to be ready for the next location. If you are going to Egypt I highly recommend getting Marsil as a tour guide to plan your whole trip and take the stress away. And a very good price also !

Coming to Egypt we were very worried about being scammed on a tour. This is the most amazing one we booked! Our guide was so easy to talk to and actively gave us good tips for the rest of our time in Egypt. Going to the museum with an Egyptologist Is much more worth it than doing it yourself! We learned so much and would do this again! He is so kind and flexible!

This tour was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide was so friendly and spoke really good English. He’s very knowledgeable and real with the history which made us comfortable asking loads of questions! The museum is absolutely massive and having him to touch on the most important pieces helped learning the story and background. I would 100% recommend this tour if you’re feeling overwhelmed with the museum or worried about logistics because they handled it very well.

Had the worst experienced. I booked a return transfer to the Grand Egyption Museum. Before arrival the driver made me aware if I didnt book the ticket on line I wouldn't be able to get at front desk. This was not true. He mentioned getting us ticket on the black market which made us very uncomfortable. He lied to us which ended us costing us to buy the tickets twice. He was so focus on taking us other places we didnt agree to. I ended up taking a Uber back to the hotel because we did not feel good.

We went to the GEM in Cairo this morning - Mina was an incredibly knowledgeable guide who helped bring context to the complex world of the ancient Egyptians. We had a private tour and it was well worth the money. We would highly recommended Mina as a guide - it was the icing on the cake for a visit to one of the best museums we have ever been to.

Our GEM tour with Hany was outstanding. His knowledge of Egyptian history and ancient artifacts transformed our visit into a deep learning experience. King Tutankhamun’s exhibits were extraordinary, especially with Hany explaining every detail.

Guide was on time and very knowledgeable. Avoid allowing the guide to take you to other vendors, such as the spice store we were taken to, which was a big rip off.

Firstly, i cant say enough about our guide Amal. She is educated, patient, attentive and helped make this excursion the best day! From the pyramids to the sphinx all the way through shopping and lunch she was a professional with a personal touch!
