We had an amazing day in Cairo and honestly couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Our guide Mina was absolutely fantastic. He’s an Egyptologist and his knowledge of everything was unbelievable. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and his enthusiasm made the whole experience even better. He was brilliant at the pyramids and especially at the museum, where his knowledge really shone through. We learnt so much and he made it all really interesting. He also took some amazing photos of us at the pyramids and knew all the best spots to get some great shots! Such a friendly, genuine guy who really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great day. Lunch was also really good, with lovely food, which was a nice bonus! Couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better day. If you’re thinking of booking this tour, do it, and definitely ask for Mina! Easy 10/10 from us. Absolutely loved it!
A wonderful 2 day tour in Cairo with Ahmed Salah. Efficient pick up at the port in Alexandria, a comfortable drive to Cairo and then an afternoon of touring, a great night in a hotel and a morning of touring the next day. Some of the sites visited were the Citadel, the oldest Christian church and synagogue and the National Egyptian Museum of Civilization the first day. The next day we spent all our time at Grand Egyptian Museum, the main purpose of our trip and the highlight of the tour. 2 nice and tasty lunches were included. Ahmed was the perfect guide. Lots of information and kept the tour at a good pace. Highly recommended.
Amazing tour and knowledge tour guide, Ahmed Salah. Pick up and drop off was timely.
I can really recommend this tour. Mirna and Ahmed took good care of me. She explained everything and answered all my questions. Had a great day and the driver did also a great job. We spent the whole day and it was a super experience for me. I travelled alone as a women. Lunch was also good.
Lovely guys we had for the excursion- the guide Pierre and the driver. All was perfectly organised, nice brief explanation etc. In general we had an excellent time spent, so - recommended.
We were disappointed in our tour guide. He read descriptions to us from the GEM exhibit plaques. . He did not share much information on the pyramids. He sent us out to the pyramids while he sat at the gelato stand. Same thing happened at the GEM . He sat at the coffee shop while we explored the museum. We were supposed to have bottled water with our excursion, but we had to buy our own. At the end of the day we told him we were supposed to have water and on the way back to our hotel at the end of the day he stopped and bought some water. So many things went wrong. Definitely disappointing we were expecting so much more.
Do not use this it is a scam, no pick up and no tickets, no refund and the museum know this is being done all the time
The museum has a very beautiful architecture and it will be until November when the whole items found in Tutankhamen tomb will be exhibited. The visit is enhanced by having a good guide like Amr who took out to iconic points of the museum, because it is very big.
I was supposed to have a pick up and a drop off also Tickets but the tour guide said I only paid for audio only so I did not go to the museum at all. A very bad experience. I paid money to go to the museum and never went.
I went on a tour because I thought it would be safer than going by myself. The tour operator charged me another $20 to pick me up from my hotel stating it was out of their normal area. Driver picked me up at 8 and drove me around for an hour and went and sat in hotel parking lot for 15 minutes. Went to the museum and met the "tour" guide whose comments were I love this gold statue I take a picture of it every time I am here. He sometimes got the info correct but it was no more than was on the information provided. After a short time, he gave me 90 minutes to wander by myself then wanted to take me to the market and someone who could make me a cheap cartouche. I declined. The "tour director" jumped out of the car when I said no and the driver proceeded to drive me out of town. I told him this I did not recognize this area and wanted to go back to my hotel NOW. He turned the van around and I was at my hotel in 15 minutes. I would not recommend them to anyone.
Astonishing building hosting a comprehensive well displayed selection of Egyptian artefacts. I would recommend taking the tour as the guide highlighted the most interesting pieces and details we might have missed. She also answered questions patiently afterwards. Everything was brand new and worked well and the view of the pyramids was magnificent.
Our guide Mahmoud was so great. We visited the Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza. The Grand Egyptian museum was partially open but the exhibition was impressive. That was even more with our guide! Since we chose the tour only the evening before we went to, we were little worried about the departure time because we decided to leave early in the morning. But we did not have to. He showed up just on time with his big smile! He was knowledgeable and gentle. He understood what we would like to do and need. At the end of the tour, we were quite sure we selected the best tour ever. I do recommend this tour company together with him! We too will choose this company in the future, when we return to Egypt! 素晴らしいツアーでした。ガイドのモハマッドさんが私たちの希望を汲んで、細かく対応してくださり、プレオープン期間中の大エジプト博物館とピラミッド、スフィンクスを楽しく見学して来ました。お勧めのツアーです!
Our driver was friendly and a good driver. Our Egyptoligist was awesome, so knowledgable and informative. We really learned alot.
Great time visiting the grand Egyptian museum, our tour guide Ahmed was fantastic and very knowledgable! We would definitely recommend.
I was picked up in the morning g and taken to the museum for a tour around which lasted approximately 3 hours.Had an amazing guide and driver. We then went for lunch and on ro St Simons cave church which blew my mind.Could not have asked for a better tour and would highly recommend recommend it to anyone.10out of 10
Tour guide was 3 hours late. Museum was empty. Had to book my own transport. Tour guide lied about when they would pick up.
The tour was an amazing experience that covered a lot of true Cairo street food. Karim was a delight and was very willing to answer all of our questions. He was even willing to add an extra stop because I wanted to try some sweet potatoes. Ahmed was a very skillful driver that took us safely for our hotel to the old town and back. I would 100% recommend it!
I went in a food tour with Ameer along with visits to the Islamic mosques and khan el Khaleeli. It’s was a unique and immersive experience into the city’s hidden treasures
I often go on food tours when I visit new places since the food tells so much about the people and the place. This tour did not disappoint in anyway. The food was interesting and my only complaint could be that there was too much of it. The guide, Haytham, was what made the tour much much more than eating interesting food. He clearly loved sharing his extensive knowledge of the history and culture of Egypt. I would definitely recommend this tour and any tour that Haytham is leading. As a side note also enjoyed watching the skill of our driver. How the organized chaos of Cairo traffic flow remains both fascinating and terrifying.
Great tour knowledgeable guide and lots and lots of food! Nice to be picked up at the hotel and felt very safe
Mohamed Talat was exceptional! I truly couldn't have known about these places without him, or gotten around Cairo without him. I actually tripped and fell in the streets and he came running to my rescue haha (it was very funny, I am okay!) He was extremely sweet, polite, and all around wonderful to be around. We needed to be elsewhere at a sooner time, and he even adjusted the tour times for us so we could make it to our next adventure. If you do this food tour, please book it with him! We had wonderful conversations, especially about Game of Thrones! Such a sweet guy. Thanks so much Mohamed!
Took this tour solo with Mohammed Goda. He did a great job of introducing me to the staples of Egyptian food and walked me around downtown Cairo. Great way to get your bearing in new city and introduced to local food. it is different then Asian street food tours (not as many stops) but still very recommended.
Amazing tour from Ahmed Eletter he took me for local food tour in Cairo not quite in the city centre because my flight was delayed but he managed it very well he's took me to proper local restaurant and Finnish the tour with mint tea near the airport.
We booked a food tour in Cairo for our first day in Egypt and it was a perfect introduction to the city and country. Our guide, Karim, made us feel comfortable and welcome immediately. He has a great sense of humor and helped us get some more ideas for the rest of our trip. The food tour was delicious with different Egyptian street food. If you saw anything that you wnted to try Karim made sure to get it. By the end of the tour we were stuffed. We didn't use Ramasside for our Nile cruise and we regretted it. We met up with Karim again on our last day to do the pyramids and we weren't disappointed. We got everything we wanted out of the day and learned a lot. The drivers for both days were great and we felt safe with them. Sarah helped me organize both tours and the airport drop off and she was so great about getting back to me quickly with email. She was able to suggest little changes to our itinerary based on opening times since we weren't familiar with them. The whole company made everything easy and I'd definitely use them again.
Vergogna!
A large building for a museum with, in my opinion, little significance. You enter a central hall. There are many shops and places to eat and drink here. You scan your ticket and then you can climb the (escalating) stairs. There are various statues on the steps. You don't see a sarcophagus or other things. They also show a 4D movie, which is nice.
It is currently undergoing pre-opening in early January 2024, but the main exhibit will be the archaeological museum. A few items in the archaeological museum are being moved and packed, but I think it will be several more years before everything is relocated.
