Hasan was excellent tour guide and he responded to all our questions and used stories to explain the symbolism.

!The Grand Egyptian Museum is nothing short of spectacular! A breathtaking architectural masterpiece housing some of the world’s most extraordinary treasures, it is an absolute must-see for anyone visiting Egypt. The sheer scale, beauty, and historical significance of the collections are simply awe-inspiring. It is truly a world-class museum that brings thousands of years of Egyptian civilization to life in an unforgettable way. But what made our visit truly exceptional was our guide, Hassan Ghanem. He was absolutely phenomenal! Hassan is an exceedingly knowledgeable, experienced, and engaging guide whose passion for Egyptian history shines through in everything he does. What impressed us most was his remarkable ability to navigate such an immense and potentially overwhelming museum while ensuring we experienced the true essence of its treasures. Rather than inundating us with endless facts and dates, Hassan masterfully selected the most significant exhibits, brought their stories to life, and connected the dots in ways that made the history both fascinating and accessible. His depth of knowledge, thoughtful pacing, and exceptional storytelling transformed what could have been an exhausting museum visit into an enriching and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Hassan is, quite simply, one of the finest tour guides we have ever encountered. His expertise and professionalism are matched by his genuine enthusiasm for sharing Egypt’s extraordinary heritage. The GEM is magnificent on its own, but experiencing it with Hassan takes it to an entirely different level. We cannot recommend him highly enough. If you’re planning a visit, do yourself a favor and request Hassan. He is the best!
An amazing tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum. Marco was a very experienced and knowledgeable guide. He took time to answer all my questions and also provided some interesting information and insight into ancient Egyptian history and culture. Then he took me to a great local cafe for lunch. Top notch service all around.
We took the day long trip to the grand Egyptian museum. It was an absolutely marvelous experience. Marco is an exceptionally gifted Guide. He talked to our group and ascertained our expectations for making the tour. He then designed how we spent the day in a way that opened new insights into thei history of Egypt while including some little known facts. Time with him is like being with a master teacher.
Ahmed was a great tour guide, came early and very knowledgeable and friendly.
A brilliant and deeply intelligent museum. Profoundly academic and yet accessible; beautifully staged and built modern mausoleum for ancient Egyptian culture and way of life. Only this reinvention can truthfully show the depth of that culture...for the foreseeable future, the finest museum in the world.
Marco was the most informative and interesting guide!! He offered to take many photos of us so no one was left out! The entrance to the GEM with its enormous Ramses II was breathtaking! We were awestruck by the Tutankhamen galleries! And all the while Marco was delivering interesting facts and myths. The last thing we visited was the boat museum. This was fascinating with a huge boat that has been reconstructed inside the museum. If I were coming back to Egypt, I would hire Marco for all my tours!
Marco was wonderful and the perfect guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable and the perfect gentleman to show us the Grand Meseam. Humorous and lovable. Driver Ayman was a most careful driver and certainly knew how to navigate that 8 lane highway! Very friendly as well! Thank you for a day we will never forget!
The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) is brand new hall with comfortable AC and room to roam without ever feeling crowded. A wealth of artifacts to view up close including the Tutankhamun Exhibit and Khufu's Solar Boat. We had a great private tour through Deluxe Tours Egypt. Ibrahim was our guide and he did an excellent job taking us through the museum at an informative and leisurley pace. We were picked up promptly at our hotel in the morning and dropped back off at the hotel in the late afternoon after our visit to the GEM.
Our driver to the GEM was on time and an excellent driver. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about Egyptian history. The whole experience was fantastic. I highly recommend this tour.
Nevin was fantastic throughout the whole tour. She’s highly respected and trusted amongst both her clients and colleagues throughout the city. Nevin not only has impressive knowledge, but is also great company, and is very flexible to make the most out of your day.
Wow an amazing trip. Nevin scheduled around us and was so welcoming. We did so much in the short space of time we had. She gave us so much information, took amazing photos, arranged a delightful camel ride and even managed to get us a lovely fresh Egyptian falafel for lunch. Oh and she’s good company too.
The museum was nice. The Egyptologist, Hassan, definitely gave professor vibes. He was knowledgeable and precise but a little socially awkward, felt like I was back on a school field trip. It is more of curated tour in the museum. If you prefer to walk around and look at what your heart desires, then don’t opt for a guide. Our driver Khalid was great and good company. The lunch was good but our tour guide forgot we had it in our tour and I had to remind him. We mentioned wanting to do a boat ride on the Nile and they were able to make that happen. It was perfect time and peaceful. And it ended at a good time to have the other half of the day to do whatever. I would recommend this tour for a more chill day. We did this tour after doing a pyramid tour which was a lot but it balances out well.
We had a lovely day out with Nevin. She picked us up from the hotel as arranged and then we drove over to Giza and she gave us lots of info about Cairo, new and old. She made everything so easy, being able to park up nearby and sorted our tickets for us. She knew all the good routes round the site and good photo spots, we have so many amazing photos! We felt so comfortable and even enjoyed some amazing falafel with hummus and aubergine on the way back to the hotel.
We had a fantastic day visiting the Pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, and Nevine made the experience truly unforgettable. She was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about Egyptian history, bringing every site to life with clear and engaging explanations. Her warm personality and professionalism made the entire tour smooth, enjoyable, and stress-free. We learned so much and had a wonderful time from start to finish. I highly recommend Nevine to anyone looking for a top-quality guide in Egypt. Thank you for an amazing experience!
Naveen was amazing. She not only gave us great context on what we saw, she also knew everyone! Making the over all experience easy and amazing.
Our tour guide Manal is a highly experienced and very well-organized professional. She has an excellent sense of timing and knows exactly when and where to be to avoid crowds, long queues, and congestion from other tour groups. Thanks to her planning, we arrived early, avoided the rush, and even managed to use a golf cart to reach the main entrance smoothly. We spent a wonderful few hours at the Grand Egyptian Museum, including the Tutankhamun galleries, the Boat of Khufu, and enjoyed a very good lunch at one of the museum restaurants. The museum itself is extremely clean, modern, and impressive — with huge ceilings and an almost unbelievable sense of scale. It truly is a massive and stunning building. Manal provided us with a clear and engaging introduction to the areas we needed to see, then allowed us to explore the museum at our own pace and rhythm, which we really appreciated. She gives you space, shares her deep knowledge, and helps you understand the context — while still encouraging you to discover things on your own.
We went to the Grand Egyptian Museum with Marco (Egyptologist) and Ayman the driver. Both were amazing and we had lovely time seeing the museum. Marco is very knowledgeable and shared great insights about Egypt history and culture. An experienced guide and very kind and patient.
We had a brilliant experience with Nevin today at the pyramids. We were picked up from the hotel on time and had a nice amount of time at the pyramids, visiting multiple spots to get some great photos whilst Nevin shared some history with us. We then finished off with a falafel lunch while on the way back to the hotel which was great! Many thanks Nevin
Had a great tour of the Pyramids and GEM with Nevin! . We were picked up from the hotel, direct to the Pyramids in the morning, then via lunch to the GEM in the afternoon. Nevin is friendly and extremely knowledgeable! Felt safe at all times and love that she seems to know everyone, and knows exactly where to get the best photos!
We had a wonderful day out seeing the Pyramids, Sphinx and GEM. Nevin is an exceptional and friendly guide and taught us lots about Egyptian life, history and culture. The whole day was seamlessly organised and nothing was too much trouble. She also seems to know absolutely everyone and the best photo spots. The museum is impressive and huge so definitely best to have a guide take you round. It was a great fun-packed and educational day and truly memorable experience. Highly recommended. Shukran Nevin. Yinsan
Nevin is second to none, her expertise and knowledge was truly brilliant. So much information given and her passion for the tour is obvious. Thank you highly recommend. 5 Star
Fantastic tour of the Pyramids and GEM with Niven. A small group of 4, we were collected from the hotel, direct to the Pyramids in the morning, then via lunch to the GEM in the afternoon. Niven takes care of everything. She’s very friendly, seems to know everyone, and knows exactly where to get the best photos. She organised camel rides, answered all our questions, arranged tickets for the GEM and showed us round. Finishing at the King Tutankhamen gallery - which is very, very impressive. I’ve used Niven 3 times in the last ten years and it’s always been a super day out. Thanks Niven!
The museum is impressively large and the exhibits are well spaced out, but they have little factual descriptions. This is where our guide Niveen was so good. She was very knowledgeable on all periods and Kingdoms, and knew the museum well enough to take a different route from the crowds to avoid bottlenecks. Every question was answered with a knowledgeable response, often resulting in a detour to an exhibit that better explained her point. This was no guided tour by script! I’ve used this company earlier in the year to tour the pyramids and I had the same high levels of satisfaction and would definitely use them again, and recommend to all.
I had the opportunity to visit first the Pyramids then the GEM few days later with the same tour guide , Nevin , there are no words to describe her , she’s nice , funny, knowledgeable , friendly and a great photographer. She’s not a 5/5 but at 10. Thank you Nevin See you next time in Cairo
Absolutely amazing, the new museum is a must-do if in Cairo. Our guide Mohamed was top notch, highly knowledgeable, and allowed time so we never felt rushed. The Tut gallery is beyond words.
Wow! The new museum is really something fantastic! The Tut gallery is only the frosting on the cake. Every gallery is amazing. Our guide Mohamed was a wealth of knowledge and allowed the time so we were not rushed. Highly recommend!!!
Just had my tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum with Marco. The museum itself is an impressive new jewel in the crown for the Giza Plateau complex. A ‘must see’ if you want to get up close to Egyptian artefacts beautifully presented in a breathtaking building. I had the benefit of Marco as my guide. When anyone is booking a guide you can never be sure what to expect - Will they be knowledgeable, will they be good company, will we get on well? I can say with Marco you have nothing to worry about. He was warm and personable and we chatted a lot during the visit. I learned a lot from him and he tested me, in a playful and jovial way, about the things we saw. He made it fun and entertaining. The time flew by. Only a small proportion of the museum is open at the moment and it did say in the ad that we would see the interactive Tutankhamen exhibition (one of the main reasons I booked) but that isn’t open yet. That was disappointing for me and should be made clearer in the advertising. None of this, however, was Marco’s fault and despite me not seeing King Tutankhamen Marco was so engaging and knowledgeable it made up for it. I would really recommend Marco as a guide as we were able to discuss many other things as well as the exhibition so the conversation or ‘banter’ (a new word I taught him) flowed throughout. It was like spending the day with a good friend or family member who happened to be an expert in Egyptian history. A shout out also for Badr our driver who was courteous and punctual as well and sat patiently waiting outside for us until we were finished. All in all a great experience that you can book in confidence.
What an amazing place. Beautiful architecture with the pyramids as an awe-inspiring backdrop. A fantastic afternoon spent with our guide Ahmed whose knowledge of the artefacts and their history was outstanding. You could sense his pride and passion throughout our visit.
If you want to learn a depth of Ancient Egyptian history in a short period of time, then step no further than Professor Essam!! On the bus ride from the hotel to the museum, he did a fabulous job explaining the background to a novice and made the museum a much more rewarding experience. He was courteous to my children and very patient in answering any questions we had. I walked away learning so much!!
Another amazing day trip with the fabulous Marco & Mohamed. Tour to the grand Egyptian museum. And some hidden gems round old Cairo before. meiameia
Hussein welcomed us very well. The visit to the museum was very pleasant. He showed us and explained as many things as possible. In addition, he speaks very good French. I can only recommend this visit.
An incredible and very well structured museum for people with reduced mobility. Thank you to our guide Hussein who made this tour complete and respected our rhythm.
