Kyrllos our guide was great- very knowledgeable (he has even published his own egyptology books). We did a private tour and was definitely worth it for the flexibility with the itinerary, and you can make the most of Kyrllos' experience and knowledge base. Do have a chat about entry fees as most are included but you are able to visit a few extra places so long as you pay for the ticket on the day (such as going inside the Giza pyramids). Overall made our trip to Giza and Cairo very memorable!

The Pyramids of Dahshour, located about 40 kilometers south of Cairo, are significant archaeological sites that illustrate the evolution of pyramid construction in ancient Egypt. This site features two notable pyramids: the Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, both built during the reign of Pharaoh Sneferu, the founder of the Fourth Dynasty. The Bent Pyramid is distinguished by its unique design, beginning with a steep angle of 54 degrees before shifting to a shallower angle of 43 degrees, reflecting early experimentation with pyramid shapes. In contrast, the Red Pyramid, considered the first true pyramid, has smooth, angled sides and a height of 105 meters, showcasing refined construction techniques. Both pyramids demonstrate the architectural advancements of their time and contribute to our understanding of ancient Egyptian burial practices and monumental architecture.

Our Tourguide Kyrllos was the perfect guide. He was very knowledgeable and knew a lot of interesting facts. But more importently, he was very passionat about ancient egypt and we coule really feel that! He didn't just throw all the facts at us like he was reading from a history book. He made it exciting. He answered all our questions and discussed alternative possibilitys. He showed us some cool spots away from all the tourists to take good pictures and really get a feeling of the ancient times. The privat tour with kyrllos was the best thing we could have done, we had an amazing experience and it really made our trip to cairo worthwhile. Thanks a lot!!!
Experience was very good with guide, Mustafa. He was extremely knowledgeable, patient and kind, and explained the history of the sites very well. He also provided guidance in terms of the price of various activities like the camel ride and helped to negotiate to a reasonable price. Also very helpful with taking nice photos. Highly recommended.
The Giza plateau, Sakkara, Memphis, are sites that are always in everyone's bucket list, but if you have the good luck to get Michael as guide, you are guaranteed an easy, relaxing, entertaining, enjoyable day. His knowledge, the way he engages with history, culture, he tells all what you need to hear before seeing the sites. You can easily see he loves what he does. Thank you Michael for such a lovely day for Jonathan and I.
Everything was Amazing !! Our tour guide Gerges was very knowledgeable about the pyramids, excavations sites and Egyptian history . He got us good prices on souvenir by negotiating with the locals … felt like our tour guide was always Looking after us. Had a wonderful time❤️
Mohamed mahmoud was one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had. We had a family trip (four adults - mom, dad, sister, brother) to Cairo and he was absolutely wonderful! He is an Egyptologist and boy did we benefit from his knowledge! He really personalized the experience- we saw the pyramids, the Sphinx, toured Sakkara, visited Memphis, stopped by a perfumery, and ended with a trip to the papyrus museum and learned how Egyptians made paper. Along the way he infused historical knowledge with current events. We asked A LOT of questions and he seemed to love answering every single one. We had a wonderful lunch as well. It was also my mother’ s birthday (she is near retirement). He let everyone know along the way so she was blessed with little treats. He also even bought her a lovely cake to celebrate! He and the driver Nagy were so kind. Loved the experience. Book this team! They are amazing!
Do not book this experience. We had the absolute worst experience with this tour that almost ruined our trip to Giza. First of all, our tour guide Mohammed was the rudest person ever. He did not explained anything to us and didn't go with us for most of the tour. This is experience was an overpriced taxi ride. He was hurrying us most of the experience and we couldn't really experience the monuments. We didn't have time to soak in the history or take pictures. He was mad and rude most of the time. The camel ride was like 5 minutes and he separated the group. At first the tour said it was 8-9 hours long per Viator, and it was really 5 hours. Second, the tour guide said the monuments closed at 2pm but we went there again by our own now and they are open until 3pm during Ramadan. Third, the tour said it included the entrances to those monuments. But he let us enter to the park but not inside of the pyramids or the sphinx or the Saqqara pyramid. All of this because “we didn’t have time.”Also, our tour guide was in a hurry all the time. He didn’t let us enjoy the spaces and take pictures. And he didn’t explain it or walk with us to show us the monuments, and it was advertised that we were going to have an Egyptologist... but we really didn’t. Fourth, the tour included 25 min of camel rides but we only rode camels for 3 minutes by clock and he said that it was a “favor” even though we told him that our reservation included 25 min of it. In addition, he only gave us 5-10min in each place and monument and that was it. He also said that the tour included food and he tried to take us to another restaurant and charge us but he ended up giving us falafel sandwiches and taking us to the hotel. In two occasions instead of taking us to the sites he tried to take us to buy perfumes and papyrus which was not on the agenda. The hold time he had a hostile and rude attitude and seem bothered when we tried to ask him questions about the monument as an Egyptologist…. Overall it was not a good experience and we feel robbed.
Our guide was Gamil Gamal who gave us a perfect tour. He is a very good English speaker, he knows Egyptian history very well, presenting it in a professional way. Taking into account the fact that it was a tour of more than 8 hours for two people, he was very involved in what he was doing, plus he took hundreds of pictures for us in all the locations we visited. He also helped us a lot with information about our safety during the tour and how to behave with those who wanted to sell us different products. We recommend it with love!
We were a couple travelling and we had a wonderful trip around Giza, Saqqara, and Memphis with our guide Mohamed Salah. We did the camel ride also in Giza. The car was clean and new and the driver provided for the tour was also excellent! Mohamed was very knowledgeable and explained so many aspects and details we were not aware of. In addition, he was an excellent photographer and told us where to take quirky and good photographs. We travelled to Memphis and chose to have a delicious shwarma lunch and were dropped off at a hotel in the evening. A very good trip, with an excellent guide!! Will totally recommend this tour for an EGYPT visit.
Amazing experience. Very pleasant and friendly tour. We had also different people on shops that guide us through their creations and how they are made (big example is the "Papyrus making). The guide always gave us time to take pictures while he guide us and later on. He was answering our questions and always explain what we are going to encounter mentioning what we shall focus on and what to avoid. We always had our own car driver picking us from one place to other and let me tell you that we did pick it a lot of times. The tour was private and noone ever bothered us or interrupted us. I expected something less, but everything went above and beyond for this price. I felt I spend 20 hours in this tour, that's how much thankfully I felt...Thank you very much. Totally recommending this. Super safe! 😊
Great guide. He knows pretty well the history and how to explain it. We went by car which was as advertised very comfortable not like the cheap and less comfortable cars one could find in the city. It was a great and memorable experience. We highly recommend this guide. He is not there just for the money. Thanks a lot Omar!!
I had the great experience with Mohammed. He went above and beyond to make the tour memorable and meet my needs of a tight schedule.
Our first day in Egypt and it started very good. Wael picked us up at the hotel and drove us to the pyramids. He started memorizing our names. Not an easy task, but he did it perfectly! He told us a lot about the pyramids and Egypt's history in a interesting way. He made a lot of pictures for us. The camel ride was fun and the falafel lunch at the end of the tour was very tasteful. Wael is a very good guide, very recommendable!
It was an unforgettable experience, the pyramids were a dream come true but even more so it was the passion and dedication of our guide EidNagi .... Thank you Eid for making this trip one of the best moments of my life!!! habibi y Muchas Gracias
Amazing effort by guide Mohamed Mahmoud. Informative, allowed time for pics, took excellent group pics. Felt VERY safe!
This amazing day tour (09:00 - 17:00) with a very responsible and caring guide Wael is what I and my husband will remember all our lifes! We had an amazing experience with Wael and extremely careful driver Mustafa, thank you! + Saw the best sights and made memorable pictures + Learned the interesting details and got answers to all questions + Avoided the annoying traders + Was feeling safe and relaxed during all trip + Had delicious oriental lunch + All our wishes have been taken into account
My family and I absolutely loved this tour, it was such a fun day. Our tour guide, Khalefa, is truly fantastic at his job. He is extremely knowledgeable, passionate about Egyptian History, easy going, and you won’t be disappointed in having Khalefa as your guide. He also takes really great photos of your group!!
If anyone is looking for a good tour with really good suggestions, honest advice and very knowledgable guide, Gamil is the guide you want to have. When selecting this tour, I strongly suggest to request him.
I booked this tour thru aviator and got more than I bargained for. Gamil (Jerry) was my guide and he was everything. He was very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. He was funny, the tour was very light-hearted and I felt like I was with a friend. He was an amazing guide.
Wael was amazing! He is very knowledgeable, polite, accommodating and friendly. He made this an experience to remember. I would highly recommend.
Gamil (Jimmy) was our tour guide for this trip. He was highly prompt at communicating with me before the trip and showed up at my hotel on time. As promised, he showed us all the great sights and clicked some real good pictures for us. He offered us sufficient time for us to explore the area on our own. The lunch that was included in the tour was delicious. We did not eat at the restaurant but did a take out instead. Overall, great value for the price, with a lot of details and good spacing of the tour. Note that this was a completely private tour just for the 3 of us. Highly recommend!
My husband and I prefer to explore and see historic sites at our own pace, so we don’t usually hire guides. Our guide Khalefa was so great that we hired him for a second day! He was just super — knowledgeable about the sites and their history, hospitable in taking many photos of us at the best spots, patient when we wandered off or lingered on our own, and even helpful bargaining vendors’ prices down. For the meal, we couldn’t have asked for better food or hospitality. Khalefa treated us like family.
Our trip to saqqara, Memphis, dahshur and Giza was planned at the last minute. But the travel agency and especially our guide Osama made everything go smooth. He was on-time, passionate about Egypt, and energetic throughout the day. Kept us company with illuminating insights, while being compassionate about the needs of our children.
Great English! Very experienced and acknowledging. No worries about cultural differences. Spent 2 days with Wael, enjoyed the whole experience. He took care of his customers very well so you don’t need to worry about any scams. This made us feel very safe and relaxing. Didn’t push us to buy anything. Altered our trip whenever we asked. Very satisfied with his service.
Very good tour. Guide was very informative, friendly and patient and it was an enjoyable experience.
This was our first day of our first trip to Egypt, and the Giza pyramid complex blew us away. Our guide Waal and our driver Kirillos were punctual, pleasant and flexible with us. We enjoyed the drive to Dashur through the date farms. Dashur was special for us because we had the pyramids in that vast landscape all to ourselves. We had a fun day, ending with a good meal and loads of photos.
Our Amr guide was punctual took us to all the places included in the booking, lunch consists of very tasty Egyptian falafel sandwiches. The entire tour lasted less than 8 hours.
