Full Day Tour To The Pyramids And The Grand Egyptian Museum

Outstanding day with Ahmed Farag. We spent the day with Ahmed our knowledgeable egyptologist for the day. We started in the Coptic area, Cairo around St George Church, then continued onto Giza. Instead of rushing us around, Ahmed took us to a coffee shop overlooking the pyramids where we could relax, drink coffee and really learn the history - we could ask anything and he made it all come alive. It was a highlight of the day. Next came the camel ride with the pyramids as the view, then the highlight - the new Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). It is huge and overwhelming, but with Ahmed it was outstanding. Only because of his knowledge did we understand what we were seeing. Ahmed is self-employed, so no shop pressure, no rushing - just real Egyptology with humour and care. Perfect English. One of the best guided days we have had anywhere. We spent 2 days with Ahmed starting with the Pyramids followed by the Grand Egyptian Museum on day 1 . On the second day we toured Coptic Cairo starting with the old city and the St Simon the Tanner Cave Church - had lunch at Abu Tarek for the best Koshary in Cairo and continued on in the old city. Ahmed’s exceptional knowledge of Egypt was impressive . He connects with you as an audience . His professionalism was commendable . One of the best quality guides we’ve ever had . His expertise comes with passion in what he does . His knowledge was just value added to the whole package - his substance comes from his character filled with integrity , accountability and above all kindness . It’s like meeting a new friend for life in Cairo . Thanks for going above and beyond in what you do especially finding out the secret sauce for Koshary .

Ahmed provided our private group of 6 an excellent trip experience. His knowledge of all things Egyptian was extremely vast. We enjoyed the relaxed van rides that were all arranged and made a safe , enjoyable trip. Our limit on time due to our flights that day only allowed a couple hours at GED, but Ahmed made the most of our time. But if you can spend many more if you enjoy seeing and learning more. Beautiful place to explore. Had lunch provided and waiting for us to Enhance our time and was delicious Koushari (?). 5 stars

Our family had an exceptional experience with Ahmed during our time in Egypt. From the first day, he was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly well-organized. We were in Egypt for 2 weeks in April, awesome experience we had Ahmed Farag as our guide in Cairo very knowledgeable, helpful and patient, we went to the Pyramids, museums, mosque, etc. And Hassan Ali in Luxor down to Aswan we visited temples down the Nile, markets in the nubian village thank you Hassan for being so patient and kind to us. Ahmed Farag was an amazing tour guide. We were lucky to have him in Cairo for a couple days as well as our trip to Alexandria. He is a wealth of knowledge current and historic, and very passionate about his culture and people. He was very kind and patient with other people on our tour who would ask the same question he had just answered for someone else, I would have lost it on her, but he didn't. I would absolutely recommend a tour with Ahmed! If we knew what we knew now we probably would have booked directly with him.

Ahmed was very knowledgeable of the history of Egypt. He took good care of us and am very satisfied with the tour. On a side note, he curated some tours that were not part of the original itinerary and am glad we got to experience it all. He is very friendly and a local you want in your corner. Our tour guide Ahmed was absolutely amazing! It was surreal to actually be at the Giza Pyramids and feel the stones and mighty structures and learn the detailed history and many versions ! The visit to the Egyptian museum was awesome. It’s a must to all visitors to Cairo! Market was bright and beautiful nd the guide helped us pick stuff in short period of time ! Overall great day out totally worth it!

We stayed in Sharm during the first week of November and did a day trip to Cairo with the family. We met Ahmed through the excursion company - we were promised an Egyptologist and Ahmed was exactly that! Perfectly spoken English and really knowledgeable, Ahmed was an absolute delight to be accompanied by. My children's ages are 4, 12 and 14 and all of us, including my wife and I, we're engrossed in his explanation of the various museum artefacts and the history of the pyramids and dynasties. We are planning to visit Luxor in the future and will absolutely be engaging his services. My family and I would absolutely and very highly recommend Ahmed.

A superb couple of days in Cairo with Egyptologist, Ahmed Farag and Driver Mohamed. This is not the easiest city to negotiate and it was such an advantage to have the inside track not just with getting about and spots for lunch and the like but the advantage of having a well connected and infinitely knowledgeable guide really made this trip a stand out. The level of planning of the day and the pace of delivery of facts about the artefacts we saw was well balanced and just right for us. Getting from site to site was easy with the calm and expert skills from driver Mohamed and the vehicle was top standard minivan. Thank you both

Absolutely amazing Tour . Ahmad went out of his way to make sure we were safe with brilliant communication prior to the tour to make sure we knew exactly where to meet and what we would be doing during the time. Picked up from Alexandria Port by a private driver and take to Pyramids of Gize. Brilliant explanation . We rode Camels , got to see all Pyramids and then went for a beautiful authentic lunch. Also took us to shops which sold Essential Oils, Egyptian cotton and Jewellery.. visited Old Cairo and walked through Famous Bazaar. Driver got us back to our ship safely. Well worth every cent
