I booked my Egypt trip with Ramasside Tours and for my Luxor to Aswan leg i was with Mohamed. I got pick up from the Luxor airport and he was instantly pleasant and welcoming. He joined me on the river cruise and took me to see all the sights along the way. His knowledge was next level and the way he explained things was more of a 2-way conversation than talking at you, ya know! There was a day where we he changed the itinerary and it actually made the tip so much better (Abu Sambel and the Philae Temple) He also joined for dinner on the cruise and he was really easy to chat with and with a pretty good sense of humor When you book your tour, ask or make sure you get Mohamed

King Tut’s tomb (Included if option selected)
King Tut’s tomb which you will visit from the inside. Tutankhamun ruled Egypt for approximately 10 years from around 1336-1327 BCE. In November 1922, Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon discovered Tutankhamun’s near-intact tomb in the Valley of the Kings. The king’s mummified body was found surrounded by precious grave goods, in his golden coffin, after his burial chamber was officially opened on 17 February 1923 in the presence of Egyptologists and government officials. Today, Tutankhamun is ancient Egypt’s most famous pharaoh. But how much do you really know about the boy king? Here during this tour, I will tell you the lesser-known facts about Tutankhamun
On the return journey stop-off at the Colossi of Memnon, 2 gigantic statues representing Amenophis III facing the Nile. No one would believe how fabulous this day was!! Our tour guide Mo was very intelligent and kind. He arranged a private birthday party for my daughter on a boat on the Nile. We cried and laughed and sang and danced!! We will never forget that trip!!
Great experience. Mr Mustafa was very knowledgeable and informative. Learned a lot and had a great time. Will recommend to others!
All the top sites of Luxor with great knowledge from our guide.
It was a long day but well worth it. Out tour guide Amr Hamed was excellent and we finished the day exhausted but very well educated. The only issue we had was with the booking with Viator. The tour company then contacted us directly via WhatsApp prompting us to try and check the validity of the contact as we assumed it would all come through Viator. It all checked out OK in the end although we ended up paying more than the initial booked price with Viator due to flight price increases and availability but in this day and age we are all very wary of being contacted randomly via social media.
Fantastic day. Hamed was an excellent guide and at the end of the day although we felt exhausted with the heat we all felt a lot more knowledgable thanks to him. Initially we had a few small issues with the tour operators contacting us directly over WhatsApp even though we had booked through Viator and had to confirm that everything was legitimate before passing on additional details. Thankyou Hamed and the team at Rammaside Tours. What a fantastic day.
We had the greatest experience with our guide Mo. He took the time to educate and explain everything we had questions about and he is a professional. We highly recommend him and the tour.
Had a great day with Mohamed - he was very knowledgeable and accommodating on what we wanted to see and do. Very friendly and brought us to a great lunch spot as well
Perfect English. By far the most knowledgeable guide I have ever had ! He actually running an architectural excavation site. We really enjoyed hearing about the history along with the most fascinating stories on how things were discovered. This tour was 100 percent catered to our interest- taking us to a perfume factory as well as a private boat ride to banana island.
This tour was amazing from start to finish. Mohamed was the best guide, he shared so much knowledge and made our day informative, enjoyable and definitely a time to remember.
We throughly enjoyed the Aswan area and Abu Simbel with Mustafa. He was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable Egyptologist. He gave us very in-depth knowledge about every site we visited and gave us pointers on how to tour the city if we wanted to go at night on our own which was very safe. We truly enjoyed our experience in Aswan with Mustafa.
What an experience! Excellent from start to finish. Mohamed is an outstanding tour guide and Egyptologist. In addition to that he is a super friendly guy. We can’t recommend him enough. Thank you for everything Mohamed.
We had an absolutely incredible experience on our Nile cruise, and a huge part of that was thanks to our guide, Mohamad. From the very beginning, he was knowledgeable, organized, and genuinely passionate about Egypt’s history and culture. Since it was just the two of us traveling, the experience felt very personal. Mohamad took the time to explain the history behind each temple and site in a way that was engaging and easy to understand. He brought the hieroglyphics, architecture, and stories of the pharaohs to life, which made every stop along the Nile feel meaningful and memorable. One of the things we appreciated most was his sense of humor. We shared so many laughs along the way, and his personality made the experience even more enjoyable. He struck the perfect balance between being informative and keeping things fun and relaxed, which made long days of exploring feel effortless. Beyond the history, he also shared insights about modern Egyptian culture and daily life, which added so much depth to the trip. He was patient with our questions, attentive throughout the journey, and always made sure everything ran smoothly. We truly appreciated his professionalism, knowledge, and kindness. If you have the opportunity to explore Egypt with Mohamad as your guide, you will be in excellent hands. He played a big role in making this trip unforgettable.
My husband and I had a great time! The tour guide and driver were very knowledgeable and took us to the main attraction tourist locations as well as other hidden gems. The tour was actually private (which we did not know). I would recommend this trip! This dynamic duo team were both named Ahmed so it’s easy to request when booking this excursion.
Flying from Cairo to Luxor was a great experience. Mohamed Farrag my guide was very experienced and gave me information that I truly appreciated. He was honest with me upfront snd gave me the do and don’ts for every location and Abdul my driver navigated us everywhere in a way that gave me more time to do other things. I am truly happy with this experience and I honestly recommend these guys to yall. 5 stars isn’t enough!!
Our guide was excellent in every respect. He was on time, invariably friendly, and extremely well-informed. He had a real dramatic talent when he told us about the Egyptian gods and pharaohs. It was never boring. He took us to a great Nubian restaurant. I can recommend him in the highest terms.
The trip was part of 11 day Egypt trip coordinated by Ramssides tours. This portion combined river cruise plus additional land tours at Luxor and Aswan. The tour guide was a wonderful Egyptologist Farig. The places we visited were Abydos and Dandara, Karnak and Luxor temples Kom Ombos Valley of the Kings and Abu Simbel Temples. Aswan Dam and Philae temple. Our favorite in order Abydos Karnak Abu Simbel Luxor Followed by others. First great architecture and very moving display. The guide Farag was absolutely fantastic and I would ask for him. Very knowledgeable patient and ensures your needs are taken care. Second the cruise ship Nile Shadow was excellent although they can improve on vegetarian food options esp on the first and last day. The tour coordinator Mariam Sany was excellent and so we're drivers
From start to finish, this trip is a must for anyone staying in Cairo on holidays. It was not a cheap trip, and so I was hesitant at first, but wow, it was worth every penny. Totally hassle free from pick up to flights to the day itself, but let me start there with the day. Ahmed the guide and Abo the driver were the dream team. [A top tip on booking - Make sure you book King Tuts tomb as it is not included in the 3 tombs and it is a must so you visit 4 tombs in total and it is one of the options. King Tut was fabulous! Nothing was too much trouble for them both, Ahmed the guide totally knew his stuff around the history, great pointers on things to look for, knew the time the queue were bad so we were not wasting time in a line, the best places to see on route, to eat and also as our flight was back late, what else we could see. We booked extra trips to banana island and Luxor temple. Luxor temple was a show stopper especially at sunset ( totally recommend and sphinx avenue at night). Ahmed and Abo were so patient, informative, fun, and full of energy, they both went out of their way to make sure we had a good time and some. The driver in Cairo was great too. Super hassle free experience and with lots of memories made. Totally recommend - one of the best trips I have ever been on.
We decided toward the end of our Cairo trip to visit Luxor on a Thursday. The tour operator arranged airplane tickets and a a driver from our hotel to the airport with return. Both pickups were on time and seamless, even with a 2hr return flight to Cairo delay. Thank you Ehab! The flight to Luxor departed at 0600 (I hr flight) and the return was scheduled for 2045 back to Cairo. Mohamed was our Luxor tour guide and a very knowledgeable Egyptologist. We started at the Valley of the Kings/Hatshepsut/Karnak and then had a delicious lunch overlooking the green fields where tomatoes are also dried. So relaxing. We added on a horse carriage ride through Luxor (cool riding through the market area) and a Nile River boat ride at sunset. So relaxing as well. Thank you Mohamed for sharing your culture, being fun and taking so many fantastic pictures for us. Despite the flight return delay, it was fantastic. Thank you sir!
Ahmed was a wonderful and helpfull guide! That was an amazing excursion! I recommand ! Thank you so much for everything.
Very early start was acceptable but the itinerary was complete by lunch ( which wasn’t included in the tour ). Our return flight 9.30 at night so many hours alone in Luxor where you are hassled aLOT!.. Our guide suggested nice cafe where we were treated well but couldn’t wander round safely so a very long day !Actual tour was great guide and driver friendly and informative treated us very respectfully
Amr Hamed our tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and amiable. The sites visited were mind blowing. If you have any interest in Egyptology then this is the tour for you
We booked and paid for this experience in September 2025 for January 2026 and we were promptly sent "tickets" which I foolishly assumed meant everything was good to go. Unfortunately the company organising this experience failed to book the flights from Cairo and only informed us when I messaged them in late December requesting our flight details. They then said that there were no flights available and it could not go ahead. There was no apology and no explanation as to why they hadn't bothered to book flights we paid for. We eventually received a refund, but had to go through a separate process with Viator. An incredibly disappointing experience.
The actual tour and our guide Mohamed was great! My 18yr old and I booked the day trip through the tour from Cairo. Next time I would book the flight and airport transportation myself and probably save a lot of money and flexibility. I don’t understand why our flights weren’t booked until a few days before the flight and they asked for an extra $250/person because of flight costs. There was nothing to validate the cost increase, only a confirmation of the ticket booking. We left 3:15hr before the flight at 4:45am for an 8am flight that was delayed 1hr (9am). The return flight was scheduled for 11:45pm, though we were done with the tour at 5:00. So Mohamed suggested a couple other things we could do that would be out of pocket to us. We chose a horse carriage ride ($30/person for an 1hr around Luxor markets. There were around 5 other flights back to Cairo between 8p-11p on various airlines. When I found out my flight was delayed to 1:30a, I looked into how much to jump on a different airline. They wanted $125 cash. I would have taken it, but didn’t have the cash or an ATM card on me. All that said, it was way too much time at the airport and feel like I was way overcharged for the flight. The pick up and return from the hotel was good. The driver was on time and courteous. The actual tour was great. Mohamed is a great guide. Expect to pay the tourist fees that aren’t included in the tour. $25/person for lunch. Horse carriage ride at $30/person. This is a tourist economy, so I didn’t mind the extras. The airport waiting was the hard part and I don’t think it was necessary.
Ahmed was awesome! Super welcoming and knowledgeable. He was able to show me the best spots and was willing to find some additional things to do since I had a late flight. Would definitely recommend Ahmed!
If I could give Ahmed 6 stars, I would! He was so welcoming and knowledgeable. We spent the entire day together and he kept finding interesting activities to enhance my experience because I had a late flight. He was super friendly, efficient and effective at maneuvering to the key points at each site, and explained the history with enthusiasm. I would highly recommend Ahmed to anyone visiting Luxor!
Mo Faraag gave us a first-rate tour experience in Luxor. Highly recommend! He is a brilliant Egyptologist who not only knows the history, he knows great restaurants! He went out of his way to make our tour experience a memorable one.
Fantastic experience! If you want an extremely knowledgeable guide who knows how to customize the experience for your unique needs, then look no further. This was our first time in Egypt, and we cannot wait to return. This was the best tour experience of the entire trip!
I had an amazing time in Luxor! It’s truly impressive how well-preserved the historical sites are, walking through them feels like stepping back in time. Special thanks to the tour guide, Mohamed Farag, for making the experience so insightful. I also want to thank the driver in Luxor for the smooth rides, and Ahmed Lotfy, the driver in Cairo, for his professionalism and kindness. Highly recommend this experience!
Mohamed Farage was our guide at the day in Luxor. Thank you for your interesting work and for filling our time with a lot of stunning informations about the history of your country 🙏
If you’re looking to see the sites that Luxor has to offer with an amazingly informed guide then this is it. No was my tour guide through the day and made sure we saw all the main sites as well as a couple local spots at my request as well. Couldn’t be happier with the experience and would recommend this to everyone looking.
Very good service , helpful , friendly and we have a lot of fun in Egypt 🇪🇬 we have 3 night 4 day tour on cruise with the guide Mohamed really amazing experience.
Miss Ghada was excellent as our tour guide from the beginning until the end of the day ! Incredible Luxor in 1 day - all You need to See and what is possible in One day 🐪😍
I took the one-day Luxor trip, flying from Cairo to Luxor in the morning and returning to Cairo late that same day. It made for an extremely long day but it was well worth the time and expense. My driver in Cairo, Karam, was prompt in picking me up at my hotel at 4:15 am. He was courteous and friendly during the 40-minute drive to the airport. Upon arrival in Luxor, I was met by my guide, Ms. Ghada, who took me to another car with a local driver. We visited all the sights listed in the itinerary. Ghada was very knowledgeable and provided detailed information about each site as well as answers to my questions. I was given time on my own to explore but I usually do this quickly. I prefer private tours so that I can move at my own pace. Karam was waiting for me in Cairo when my flight landed around 11:00 pm. I recommend this excursion as everything went perfectly!! Be ready for large crowds, and hot weather and try to get plenty of sleep the night before.
My entire experience from start to finish was really amazing. My tour guide, Mohammed, was very good. He was attentive, informative and took care of my every need. He was very helpful and game me lots of time to explore on my own. All the sites were great and he made them come to life. I highly recommend this tour and the guide. I had a wonderful experience overall. Thank you.
Ahmed and Faraag are an amazing team. Really loved Faraag's hospitality, personal touch and knowledge of the entire city. Him being a budding Egyptologist is an added benefit. Blindly follow his suggestions and you will have the best time in Luxor.
My wife and I we had very good time. Ramasside Tours agents were professional (Mr Ahmed & Mr Mustafa). Our tour guide from Aswan to Luxor, Mr Mustafa, was very professional and very helpful. The wifi internet service on the boat was very poor. But we did like the service from crew members(from Housekeeping to the servers at the lounge room).
My guide Ghada was wonderful! She is very knowledgeable and has an obvious love of her country and culture. It was great spending the day with her and learning about the upper/lower kingdoms. Luxor is really beautiful and not busy/stressful like Cairo. Next time, I would plan for more time in Luxor.
My guide Ghada was excellent as was the driver Mohammed. I am a solo traveler and nervous about being alone in a strange country, but they were very nice and professional and helped me to enjoy a really lovely experience in Luxor. I learned a lot about Egyptian history and they kept me hydrated all day! They made me feel comfortable while we toured the Valley of the Kings-I just wish I had more time in Luxor to see/do more with them.
Great guide. Very flexible for what we wanted to do: we wanted to go to the winter palace, and he arranged for us to go there and the driver to pick us up in the end.
Booked a last minute trip from Cairo to Luxor through Ramasside Tours. They worked late into the evening to schedule all my activities including flights, transfers, and guide. The guide, Ghada, was fantastic and very knowledgeable. I learned a ton from her and got tons of amazing pictures.
On our last day in Alexandria, we wanted to take safe travel and visit the pyramids. Our tour guide Mahmoud, our driver and the tour operator are professionals. We had a great day with our baby and never worried about our safety. We also learned a lot on the history of the ancient Egyptians and took great photos.
There is so much to say about this trip; it is absolutely worth doing to see the beautiful sights of Luxor: the Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings (King Tut's Tomb), Hatshepsut Temple and more. Luxor is a fascinating place. Mohammed was our tour guide and Egyptologist: he was passionate about his work and gave us lots of information throughout the day. We decided to squeeze this trip into a day as we had a hotel in Cairo for a week. We liked the idea of doing it this way but it was a very long day (ours ended up starting at 2am and finishing at 2am the next day!). We paid an additional $90 for the flight booking: we had booked this trip well in advance, but we were assured that this was because of fluctuating flight prices. We had also asked for an early return flight, after finding availability for one online. This appeared to not be possible so we had to bite the bullet and settle for our midnight flight. I am unsure if we could have completed these bookings ourselves as we aren't experienced travellers and it felt reassuring to have a company arranging transfers, guides etc. Others may be able to arrange this day themselves. (Worth thinking about for better flights etc.) Our tour started at 7am and finished at 2:30pm. We arrived on a very hot day (40 degrees) so we didn't hang around at the sights for too long and kept things swift. It is definitely worth considering your options after the tour: we didn't fancy sitting in Luxor airport for 8 hours and were simply too tired to think about a city tour, so decided to pay for a hotel room. It wasn't a brilliant hotel, but it allowed us a shower and rest before the return flight. Overall, it was a brilliant day that is priceless for the sights and experiences; but do think about your time after the tour and make arrangements if you can.
This tour was AMAZING! Mind you- it is a long day, but so worth it if you are short on time in Egypt! I would do it again 100%. Our guide, Mohamed, was the BEST! Please ask for him if you book this tour- as you will have the best experience with him. Luxor has so much to offer and we feel we got the best of it in one day thanks to this tour.
This day trip, while long, was an AMAZING experience and well worth every single second. Mohamed Farage was our guide and was so incredibly welcoming, hospitable, and knowledgeable. You can tell, with every part of the experience, that he is so passionate about what he does and sharing it with other people. Our group happened to have extra time and chose to do a boat tour and Mohamed did whatever he could to make that experience amazing as well - he took every picture and video and we even swam in the Nile - it was the trip of a lifetime. I would 100% recommend this anyone and would do it again!!
Had a wonderful day in Luxor. Unfortunately the plane had delayed 2 1/2 hrs (not at the fault of the company), but Ghada was able to get me to the sites that I had wanted to see, even being so close to closing time. We were able to see the Karnak Temple, Valley of the Kings and King Tut, Hatshepsut Temple, and Luxor Temple. Along with an amazing meal at Africa Restaurant. Ghada was extremely knowledgeable of the history and the area, and a wonderful person. I felt extremely comfortable around here and she answered all my questions. Definitely coming back and having Ghada as my tour guide again.
The visit to Luxor was outstanding!! Ahmed Elfarshouty was fantastic in his knowledge, history, and stories. He was filled with humor and made the long, long day quite a memorable experience. I would do this activity with him again!
Lamia was a fantastic tour guide! She was friendly, knowledgeable, confident, helpful and great to spend time with. She provided interesting historic insight, took some nice photos of us and also gave us tons of recommendations of what to see and eat during the rest of trip. I highly recommend doing a tour with her! We had a truly wonderful day.
This was a poorly planned tour and a scam for more money. We specifically booked this tour for the business class travel to Luxor with hotel pick up and drop off. Made the reservation six weeks in advance and had to call multiple times to get a confirmation. We believed everything was set only to get a text, two days prior to the trip, that only economy seats were available and the cost had gone up (to sit in economy). Not Acceptable!! We booked six weeks in advance and they hadn't made flight arrangements!!! We had him change the flight the day prior to ensure we had business class seats, but only after paying an additional $80 USD! Once in Luxor the tour guide kept trying to sell us additional sites to visit. Since we already paid so much for the trip we absolutely refused to purchase anything else...needless to say the tour was finished early (because we didn't purchase additional sites) and we spent the next six hours waiting for our flight home. Total waste of time and money. It felt like a big scam for more money.
It was our frist time in cairo Mahmoud Zaki made cairo trip better then I expected. THANK YOU again Mahmoud Zaki for make this trip amazing.
