The guides really could not do enough to make this as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. This was a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Cairo ans the Red Sea does not disappoint.
relaxing place staff amazing guide amazing very helpfull and knowledgeable lovely person driver was great i really chilled at this trip beach amazing dophime village beautiful cant fault the trip from start to end
Along with visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum and pyramids, we were interested in a beach experience during this trip to the land of the Pharaohs. With my research showing the Mediterranean coast too expensive and exclusive, the Red Sea seemed a viable and affordable option during our five-day visit to Egypt. And for the most part, it was. Sun, sand, a steady sea breeze cooling us off, thatch beach umbrellas - all quite beach-like. On arrival, we were ushered into a changing room in the home of the owner of the company that brought us there. Then it was out to the beach for 2 hours, at which time lunch would be served. Another hour and a half later, it was time to leave for Cairo - about 1.5 hours away (or less, if the driver puts the pedal to the metal as ours did on the drive there - at times fast enough to be a bit unnerving - on the return, I requested a bit more relaxed pace). However, there really wasn't a "beach" as someone from the mid-Atlantic region of the USA thinks of it - there was sand, but near the water were beds of smooth rocks, with large tubes of concrete running perpendicular to the shore, offering a walkway out into the sea. And no real waves - just 6-12 inch swells. Our driver and guide were affable and happy to answer any questions we had about life in Egypt. Suggestions: 1) give a quick raking of the umbrella area between guests to clear away the cigarette butts and other debris - maybe provide a trash bag at each umbrella 2) we were transported in a car with driver and guide - re climate change, what about transporting several people/couples at a time in a small van to save energy/pollution? 3) the lunch was acceptable - take-out grilled chicken and yellow rice. I had mentioned that we were primarily vegetarian (I should have been more direct) - but if it's a take-out meal anyway, why not provide a couple of options on arrival (within a price range) and let people make a choice? 4) maybe prime the guide to offer comments on various things passed on the way - the military barracks, where did the Red Sea get its name, issues related to the flow of the Nile, unsuccessful revolution of 2011, etc. All in all, we wanted a beach and got a beach - thanks!
Outstanding Private Tour of Cairo, the Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum! I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Paul on my private tour of Cairo, the Pyramids, the Grand Egyptian Museum, and the Red Sea. From beginning to end, Paul was punctual, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly accommodating. He arrived on time and made sure everything went smoothly throughout the day. I never felt rushed, and I appreciated being able to enjoy each location at a comfortable pace. Paul was attentive to what I wanted to see and made the entire experience feel personalized rather than like a typical scheduled tour. Visiting the Pyramids of Giza was already a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but having a knowledgeable and dependable guide made it even more memorable. The Grand Egyptian Museum was equally impressive, and Paul helped make navigating such an extraordinary amount of Egyptian history enjoyable and stress-free. What impressed me most was Paul's professionalism and genuine hospitality. Traveling in another country can sometimes feel overwhelming, but I felt comfortable, safe, and well taken care of throughout the entire day. He answered questions, offered helpful recommendations, and made sure I had an enjoyable experience from start to finish. If you are visiting Egypt and considering a private tour of Cairo, the pyramids, or the Grand Egyptian Museum, I highly recommend Paul! He exceeded my expectations and contributed greatly to making my visit to Egypt so special. Thank you, Paul, for your kindness, professionalism, and outstanding service. This was truly an unforgettable experience, and I would absolutely book with you again! ️ Dr. Sylvia Cole 10/10 — Highly recommended!
Poor adventure for the price. Dirty amenities. High price. No accommodations. Not worth the money. Terrible
Our Guide Hamadi and Driver were great to spend the day with. They were very accomodating and took amazing care of us from pick up to drop off.
Mr Ahmed is an absolute excellent guide who made my Red Sea trip lovely! 🥰
Absolutely amazing day with very friendly guides. The water was crystal clear and we were served a great meal on the beach. We also saw plenty of dolphins!! Everyone was so friendly and it was an absolutely perfect experience. We did many excursions but this was my absolute favorite! I would definitely recommend this one to everyone!!!
We really enjoyed the red sea on the beach with my wife. Walkin and relaxing on the beach with clear water and sunny day is worth visiting. The tour guide Fahd is very friendly and helpful.
Terrible experience, did not feel comfortable or safe at all. Not at all what was advertised. Do not recommend . Altho the sea itself is very beautiful. We arrived there only to be shown a dirty room that was already occupied by other men. The lock on the door didn’t work so they took us to another private room (made it sound like a privilege) again still very dirty. As 2 women we felt very uncomfortable and requested to leave. They were not very happy with us. Our guide didn’t give us any information, and our driver drove at excessive speeds, he was struggling to stay awake on the drive and our guide slept the entire drive back.
We where only people at resort, which was supposed to be 5 star but was run down, obsessed with security cards following us round for the whole time there
Had a wonderful time. Had a relaxing day at a 5-star resort outside of Cairo. It is for those who want to have a relaxing day at the beach.
The driver and guide were both wonderful! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. The ships wiring to enter the Suez Canal was an added benefit.
Moussa and Hady were my guide and driver. They were great, both spoke English, very friendly and fun to spend the day with. Everything provided as promised.
Excellent services. Private transfer for our family of 4 to the Blue Blue Resort El Sokhna. Got private room to rest and change as needed for full day. Very nice beach and pool with beach chair and umbrella included. Decent lunch. Flexible and personalized services with a tour guide. Excellent value overall.
My driver Mohammad was friendly and helpful. He made sure I was comfortable on the long ride there from Giza. The Red Sea is gorgeous. Mohammad suggested a ride on a glass bottom boat which was the most enjoyable event of the day. It did however cost an extra $50 USD. I also paid $20 extra for a fish lunch. That was on the pricey side since the same meal is about $4 USD in Giza. I suggest eating at one of the take out restaurants around the Marina if your concerned about cutting cost. The resort was lack luster but the glass boat ride made up for it. I was even allowed to drive the boat for a show time ( with supervision of course). Overall it was a good experience.
It was amazing time and the guide is very sweet, patient and organised everything super well. Highly recommend!!!!!!!
I booked this tour mainly to see the Red Sea, but it didn’t live up to expectations. There was a heavy downpour the night before, which led to road closures and left the beach in bad shape. I visited in March, and since there wasn’t much to do besides being in the water, I was offered an insanely overpriced massage that wasn’t worth it. To make things even more uncomfortable, the guide also offered to give me a massage—which was totally inappropriate.
This tour was a complete waste of time and zero value for me. I used emo tours 3 times this trip with mixed feelings but this tour was definitely the worse and I would not recommend. The day started with Abdul(guide) and Goo-Goo (driver) quite eccentric with lots of chit-chat (nothing about the history or the areas we were passing on the way to the resort). I really just wanted to relax and be left alone really for a chill day at the beach. Two hours later we arrive the the resort (BLUE-BLUE) and let’s just say it’s closer to a 2-Star resort than the 4+ Star that Emo tours advertise… Alas I was here for the beach and the crystal clear water. After the hotel representative took my passport card, we proceeded to the cabana house that I had reserved for the “day” for me to change and what not to get started, the cabana was fairly bare bones, no water or anything just really a dark room to get changed and what not. I proceeded to the beach which was the only reason I gave this review 2 stars, simply gorgeous water and the sun was amazing. I proceed to take it all in an Abdul comes over chit-chatting again while my eyes were close (was hoping he would get the point). About an hour later I proceed to go back to the cabana to use the restroom and when I grab for the key for the cabana, I notice my wallet was wasn’t there with it in my bag which it always sits in the same slot. After throughly searching my bag and cabana, I notify Abdul to check with the driver to see if by some odd reason it fell out in the car. 20 minutes later Abdul comes back with my wallet and I search it and it’s missing 1000 Egyptian pounds ($20USD)! I’m not one to speculate but literally, only people who had access to my bag were my guide and the waiter the entirety of that hour. I asked Abdul where was it located and he brushed it off and did not tell me. I decided to table it so I could salvage the bit of the day left I could and amounted it to…it’s only $20. The lunch was HORRIBLE, the only saving grace was the basic salad, because the past was very basic w/ sauce from a can and the chicken was just microwaved up chicken nuggets. Needless to say I did not finish it and ate as soon as I got back to Cairo. Now to the restaurant charges…the advertisement reads that bottled water is included with the tour…it wasn’t. I ordered 1 bottle of water and a hibiscus tea, I received my bill and it included my bottle of water, the tea and my GUIDE’S Bottle of water from him eating lunch! I paid the total and brushed it off as I finally get to go back to my hotel… Another awkward situation was my guide talking to me about how to properly tip and what not….I don’t need help and IDK why Egyptian culture doesn’t find it rude to imply how much is an adequate tip… Also keep in mind this tour is advertised as a full day but with travel time and what not, you really only get 4 hours at the resort. On the car ride back, I will say Abdul was accommodating to stop me by a shop I had a package at which was on my way to the hotel (but he did try to steer me from buying from someone that I already had bought things from and built a relationship with to push me on someone he knew). All in all, this tour was a waste of my time and really truthfully, put my psychological safety in a bind for what should have been a relaxing end to my all my excursions in Egypt, COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT. And mind you like another reviewer has stated, I did not request a refund and I did tip, because I want to give you the real information so that hopefully you don’t go through what I did. This tour is a complete miss for $160 and what is advertised as a VIP experience.
Very nice beach with very kind hotel staff. Our tour guide Amaya was very nice and very thoughful. She took care of everything from getting our cards and towels and make sure our lunch was ready. Our driver was also very nice. Amazing experience.
The Red Sea and our guide and driver! Made sure we were having a great experience. It was nice the lunch was prepared outside by the water. Nice Sunny day!
First we booked driver and beach only so I gave this 3 stars for the following reasons : 1. We never got our complementary water 2. We had to pay 2500 more Egyptian pounds to go on the beach 3. The wash/shower/toilets were filled with faeces everywhere (bring your own tissue) 4. We had to wait nearly an hour to get picked back up. Now for the good points : 1. The beach is very clean 2. You are provided with towels 3. The Red sea is the most beautiful sea I have ever laid eyes on, so clear, pure and blue, also my son had a paper cut which closed as soon as he went into the water. 4. There is very ,very few people on the beach when we was there practically had the beach to ourselves which was great. 5. There is no one trying to sell you anything, they do offer boat rides. 6. I gave it 3 stars and they are all for the sea and beach 7. I still recommend you visit its beautiful
I enjoyed my day on the boat in Ain Sokhna overall. However, the price is quite expensive for what you get. The boat does not go very far from the shore so it’s not entirely a “yachting” experience per se. The lunch was very tasty, however, the trip claims to offer “free soft drinks”- the only free drink is water, I was told coffee was free and ended up being charged for it. I am a solo female traveler and wanted to get out of Cairo and enjoy some nature for the day, so this satisfied that need for me, but don’t expect a Western type yachting experience. You’ll want to dress conservatively as a female and respect the fact that Ain Sokhna is mostly Egyptian families. Overall, I had a nice day but wish the price included more or was just less expensive.
The pick-up and drop-off were punctual, which we really appreciated. we were warmly greeted by Abdulah and the driver, both of whom were enthusiastic and welcoming. The trip to the Red Sea exceeded our expectations, especially in terms of quality. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a great getaway after a long, busy week—especially if you're overwhelmed by sightseeing. We really needed that breath of fresh air, and the service was truly fantastic. Abdulaj was always available to assist whenever needed. Everyone at the resort was incredibly friendly, and we felt really safe and, most importantly, completely relaxed. We felt that the experience was well worth the price. Although I am generally price-sensitive when it comes to tours, this one offered great value for money.
Hussein my tour guide was the best. This was well worth the visit. The drive from the city also allowed for some sightseeing and reflexion. I had a good driver as well
On the beach with great service and the clear water. The hotel had great accommodations. Staff cater to our every need, great views. Can’t wait to comeback for a longer stay
We enjoyed the private tour to Red Sea! From the car ride to the day room but most importantly the time at the Red Sea!! We are thankful for our tour guide and driver Samy and Waleed respectively! They went above and beyond our expectations. We would definitely recommend!
The perfect way to get a single days break away from the city, for a a bit of free coastal air. Also for the change for a cool swim or soak up some more or the sun.
Everything was amazing, had a lot of fun on my way to the Red Sea from Cairo, the driver and the gide made my day better than ever, I recommend them 100%…
Really enjoyed the ride over to the Red Sea from Cairo. Felt a real connection to history there. Service was great. It was cool and windy but awesome to be there. Wish Moses was there to part it...woulda been great to walk over to Saudi Arabia.
Americans such as ourselves may not love the long and hectic drive to the coast from Cairo, but the turquoise and blue seas provide a welcome contrast to the sandy city. The resort was shabby, compared to western resort standards, but the provided buffet lunch was really quite tasty (and we just used the resort room to change in and store our belongings). The beach has lounge chairs with umbrella, a pool, and a swimming area cordoned off from the sea. The driver and guide were friendly and professional. If you keep expectations in check, you’ll enjoy a day away from Cairo and relax beside the Red Sea.
The experience on the whole was amazing. The driver and the guide were kind and the trip has happened with no problems. The landscape is pretty and the facility is nice. However we had too short time there. We´ve arrived at about 10:30 AM and hat to leave at 15:00 PM. It´s maybe not worth it to spend almost 5 hours in a car to stay just 4,5 hours there.
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. This was not value for money. My driver was friendly but I was harassed by men at the hotel, the lunch was not very good and cost $35. I ended up feeling very irritated. Such a shame.
Car with driver came to pick up on time, service was good. Car was clean and tidy. Driver name is Shady. He was very friendly and lively . I would recommend him as your guide and driver.
Very smooth and relaxing ride! Injad a wonderful time at the red sea and enjoyed the food as well. Experience was tailored perfectly for me and I really loved having the day room! You do not need a guide for this only a driver.
It sounds nice in the description. The actual beach appears less than 300 yards and looks more like a large pool. I thought, "I dont want to spend a day of the brief time I am in Cairo at this crappy beach resort". My guide (Hakeem) was great. He and the driver took me to the Egyptian Civilization Museum after a brief time at the resort It was a nice save of a potentially wasted day.
Ever go somewhere and it's so beautiful that you could just spend your whole life there and pics don't do it justice? That's how the views from this hotel were. Our guide was good, I think they mostly act as an interpreter because I'd say that Egypt isn't like Turkey, Spain, or Colombia which I've been to where mostly every place (tourist spot at least) we went people spoke good English. The hotel itself was a bit long in the tooth but it was kept up well but it did have a slight abandoned vibe. It didn't matter because our day room was pretty nice and me and my wife agreed we wouldn't have been opposed to spending the night. We didn't get the option to eat beachside but that wasn't the end of the world. There was a buffet in the hotel restaurant and the food was good. Now when you go to swim you'll be presented with two option. You can go to the right which is a bit enclosed and has smaller rocks or to the left where it's more open but has a bunch of rocks. When we went to the left it was quite unpleasant and you probably need to have on some kind of swimming shoes to go on that side. One criticism was that we were supposed to be at the hotel for 6 hours. We really ended up being there more like 4 hours. It was enough to do everything we wanted to do but....we also paid you guys for 6 hours. Overall, I liked the service. I liked having a private driver and guide so that I wasn't on a bus surrounded by strangers or competing for attention from my guide. We go to make stops that were built in. Plus the food was very good
The tour was not bad. The tour guide was very nice and everything was very well organized. The people went over the top to ensure we had a great time and even made it extra special with a cake and music when they learned that the trip was a birthday gift, However, please be made aware that a private hotel room is Not included.... The changng room is worse than a outhouse, with 2 poorly maintained showers and a toilet stall. Th resort is pretty shabby and not close to 4 star... I feel like there was false advertisement. Lunch was served on the beach, not inside a restaurant . It was beautifulyl done and plenty but I would have preferred indoor dining,as it was too hot and I hate flies when I'm trying to eat.
The tour guides were very friendly and accommodating I had a great time. Everyone was respectful and kind.
Terrific trip. The trip included a room in a hotel so you could change and shower before the drive home. Lunch was great and the guide, Nour, was terrific. He made sure our day was perfect!
the trip to the red sea was as described. we got picked up in the morning and brought back to the hotel on time. at the destination we received a fully equiped hotel room. its a good option if you want to enjoy a getaway from the city.
For enojoy the read sea and have good moment and relax day , I recommend you buy you need to pay extra 15uds, for use pool and have the buffet .
Our Driver and guide were very professional and did an excellent job of providing safe transportation and help. We don’t speak the local language and they were both very courteous in helping us understand and enjoy ourselves.
We booked just the driver option, without lunch. Once we arrived there, we were told we needed to pay day use for facilities, which included lunch fee. We tried to reason that we did not wish to have lunch, and were willing to pay the day use without lunch. To our surprise, we were informed this was not an option and that we would have to pay the full amount regardless on whether we chose to have lunch or not.
Tour guide didn’t want to be there, it’s not a tourist site at all, just a beach attached to a hotel. I had lots of dirty looks and the entire day was very uncomfortable (no I wasn’t in a bikini, I wore a one piece with sun dress over and swim shoes) my husband was fine here and was even given free swim shorts. We ordered drinks here one alcohol and one virgin ‘cocktail’ however they delivered us the wrong drinks and charged us 500 Egyptian pounds for it.
I was treated like a queen for the day. They made sure I was taken care of the entire day with food, water, stopping for pictures, etc.
WOW!!! Such a great experience! I would definitely recommend folks visit the Red Sea if they go to Egypt. The mountain and desert views are very grande and the water views are amazing. The water is very very salty, but the color of the water is super clear and soothing. My guide Mido was able to negotiate a good deal for me to go parasailing and it honestly made my whole trip to Egypt. The drive there from Cairo didn't feel too long. A nap makes the time go by real quick.
Perfect trip thanks to the driver and the tour guide. I had good time no rush me to go back to Cairo
The room and lunch were very good. The beach was nice however there was oil on the seaside probably from the big boats. Nice day to relax from caotic Cairo,
