Cairo: Pyramids, Memphis, Sakkara, Dahshur Luxury Adventure!

We had a wonderful day with our tour, Guide Sameh! He brought us to Dahschur and Saqqara, where he showed us everything in great detail and additionally revealed many coincidences, which we didn’t know before. After all, this tour was not only an enormous enrichment, and turned out to be also a great enjoyment. Many thanks to Sameh and Ezzat from Sun Pyramids Tours!

This was a once in a lifetime experience for our group of friends! We were 7 people . Our guide, Mahmoud was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and tailored the experience for us. The transportation was very well coordinated and all the tickets for the different spots. We loved the camel ride. Thank you Sun Pyramids tour!

Fantastic tour company. Spent 4 days in Cairo doing all the major tourist things. Company was really great to deal with. Tour guides were excellent, van was excellent and air conditioned. Did everything they said they would in the schedule. Tour guides for the trips were really good.. if you are looking for a tour company I would highly recommend them.

We had a great time with our guide 'Sam' and shout out to our driver Ahmed, it was a plesant suprise to have a private tour! As pick up was 7:00am, we got to all the destinations earlier than other tours so there was not too many people around. Sam was very informative and made sure to tell us, in detail, the history of the sights, some of which was not what we were taught! He also took lots of photos of us and made sure we were comfortable the whole time. We were taken to a traditional papyrus paper making shop, really interesting but the employee was trying too hard to get us to buy something. The traditional bedouin shop was great, the owner spent time talking to us about the different oils, what they're for and letting us try anything we were interested in, he was very hospitable, we brought some natural oils for a great price, highly recommend. It would have been nice to know before hand that there were payable extras e.g., going into a tomb, camel ride, the shops. We would have brought more cash with us, Sam payed for our camel ride and offered for us to pay him back later, this was really kind of him to do so and saved us from potentially missing out. Lunch was at a traditional Egytian restaurant, the food was really good but we did have to pay for drinks which was fine but we were only told this when we got there. Overall fantastic experience, definitely recommed this company!

we relied on SPT both for transport to/from the airport and for private car trips from hurghada to luxor.everything in a simple way and on time.they are so kind and helpful that we also booked excursions to saqqara and dashur with them. we felt really safe and in great company.I highly recommend SPT if you don't want to think about anything ;)

Our tour guide arrived at our hotel on time and seemingly had lots of knowledge about Egyptian history, customs and traditions. We appreciated this knowledge. However, when our guide asked us if we would like to visit the Papyrus museum and Egyptian oil store that were not included in the tour, we immediately knew what we were in for. My husband and I declined the offer but our guide insisted that we could just look and not be pressured into buying anything. We were taken to the Papyrus museum first. We were shown how the paper was made but straight away we were given the hard sell, taken into a dark room with glow in the dark paintings on papyrus. We explained we didn’t want to buy anything. After about ten minutes of negotiating, we walked out without having bought anything and our tour guide seemed a bit annoyed that he had to finish his coffee quickly. We were then taken to an oil and perfume shop and again were forced to sit down and listen to a long spiel. When we declined to buy anything again, the shop assistant became agitated and almost aggressive - trying to bargain with us. We were extremely uncomfortable and felt threatened. We told our guide that we absolutely didn’t want to go to any more shops. After this our guide became uninterested and less hospitable. Overall, we would not recommend this company.

I usually plan a lot for each country I go to and it can get hectic but sun pyramids tours took away all the stress in planning. I booked 3 tours with them and it was amazing. I got to see all the sites I wanted to visit and the included lunch each day was amazing as well. They took you to all the sites and great shopping (cloths, carpets, jewelry, spices, oils, souvenirs). You get picked up at your hotel and get to enjoy in a nice comfortable private car with A/C. The driver (Ramy) was amazing and very hospitable and our tour guide (Medhat) was the best. He told us about all the sites and is a very nice guy. He is also English speaking so please ask for him once you book your tour. Overall amazing and will recommend to all family and friends!

An awesome experience! They pick up us in time for a private tour. The guide was fantastic in explaining us all the Egypt history. The lunch was really good, and all the staff was very kind. If we come back to Egypt I am sure I will contact them.

We visited the Pyramids as part of a private tour with Sun Pyramids. Our guide, Mahmoud Emam was knowledgeable, courteous and accommodating. He waited patiently as we kept taking millions of photos :) He suggested a camel ride into the panorama area for the experience and for photos. He took us to all the relevant places, answered queries and accommodated our requests. The driver Abdu was also very polite and helpful. We had a busy itinerary ( visiting Dahshur, Memphis and Saqqara after the visit to the Pyramids) and though it felt like Mahmoud was rushing along and making decisions for us, in the end it was all right because we realised we would never have made it if we lingered more at the Pyramids. We finished everything literally on the dot at closing time. So thanks to Mahmoud and Abdu for all their suggestions and especially for all the wonderful photos he took of us on his very fancy iPhone 14 Pro Max 👍🏼 His best suggestion was to not try and visit the inside of the Giza pyramids and instead do the experience at the Red Pyramid in Dahshur; it was a much better adventure and we had literally zero wait time! Visiting the Giza pyramids was a surreal experience; how many years we have spent reading about it, watching it on TV and learning about them in school, to be there in front of these massive structures was magical. The biggest benefit of having a guide, though, (as is literally the case anywhere else in Egypt), is avoiding the street vendors. I had read about this on multiple blogs and was pleasantly surprised to find no one bothering us, quickly realising that it's the benefit of walking alongside a local. We saw many people, especially women having a hard time keeping away persistent vendors - well, it's tourist season and their livelihood depends on it, so no hard feelings, but it doesn't make for the best holiday experience. When you are up close near the Pyramids you realise what colossal structures they are, (2mn+ stones used in the construction of the Great Pyramid) and the size of each block of limestone is mind boggling. There was a huge line to get inside the Great Pyramid, but our guide suggested that we could have the same experience at the Red Pyramid in Dahshur with zero crowds, and we are very happy we took the advice; it made for a more adventurous experience. I would totally recommend it. You can either take a camel ride into the Panorama area where the camel guide will take pictures for you atop the animals or you can take your own pictures. You can easily spend a couple of hours at the Pyramids of Giza. Go early in the morning to get a relatively peaceful experience. The gates open at 7am during Ramadaan so we were not so lucky, loads of tourist buses were already there before we got there by 8:45am.

My husband and me went with the guide Mahmoud Emam and the driver, Zaher, and they were absolutely amazing with us! We learnt so much about all places and also, Mahmoud took perfect pictures for us! Egypt is a really wonderful country but the people like our guide and our driver are just the best.

Mahmoud Emam... What can I say about this Guy? He's by far the best guide I have had anywhere in the world. He's extremely knowledgeable, passionate about his great country, and most of all, he's a very nice guy overall. He event helped a stranded tourist - who had nothing to do with our tour - in Mepmhips with a taxi driver. He made my wife extremely happy with all the pictures and gave us honest recommendations about all the places, what to buy, and what not to buy. Last but not least, our driver Zaher was also fantastic. He's really polite and you can completely forget about the road; he will take care of everything.

We booked Sun Pyramid Tours through our hotel - Giza Pyramid Inn. The booking process was through WhatsApp, with a link for payment - all was quick and easy. Tour guide Sameh was very entertaining and he taught us all the kingdoms and dynasties in an interesting way, interspersed with plenty of factoids. He would have made a really good history teacher :D We visited the Giza pyramid complex first, complete with plenty of kooky photos. We also took extra side trips to the two small tombs of the pyramid architects. Side trips are also available to go into the pyramid (but it's narrow, dark and there's nothing inside so we didn't.). We also took the camel ride (600 egp per pax) and that was really fun, and they take good photos and videos of you as well. After that we had a good local lunch, visited the oils shop (Sultan - we bought some cool perfumes), the papyrus shop (didn't get anything) and then Saqqara, followed by Memphis.

That was an amazing tour!! Dalia was a great guide she explained everything well, she was patient and friendly and a wonderful person to be around. 😊Thank you to Sun Pyramids for the Memorable day I Highly recommended 😍

Makawy took our family ranging from 11 to 76 on a full day pyramid tour including Memphis, Saqqara, Pyramids and Sphinx of Giza. He rolled with our family, joined in our banter and was helpful, kind, patient and extremely accommodating and knowledgeable with our group. Our first trip to Egypt my husband, sister and myself, Really wasn't sure what to expect, seeing the sun pyramid guide waiting for us at the airport with a smiling face Mustafa made us feel at ease and welcome. We had 2 days personal guided tours all the pyramids and citadel, bazaar, hanging church, and Cairo Museum all amazing and stunning. We had an amazing Driver Abdul, our guide Dalia who we met on our first trip out was so full of knowledge and a passion for what she showed us which kept our energy up in the heat, every stop was exciting and Dalia explained everything in perfect detail, I am sure Dalia has seen all of the sights 1000 times but her passion is infectious making us all want to know more. My wife and I are visiting Cairo/Egypt for 3 days. We booked everything through Sun Pyramid Tours and their hotel Great Pyramids Inn. What a great experience and perfect way to safely and easily see the beautiful country. On our first day Makawy, our Egyptologist & Guide showed us all around the sites in Giza. He was friendly, knowledgeable, spoke amazing English and takes great photos. He also helped us navigate tourist traps and do some shopping. We got so much more out of the experience with him along! We are also very thankful for our driver, Khalil! We could not have navigated the city ourselves, and highly recommend the private tour option. Everything was so much more accessible this way and Makawy, Khalil and the Sun Pyramid Tour’s team Took care of everything. Highly recommend!

Beautiful trip, the driver and tour guide were extremely accommodating and hospitable. We felt cared for and our tour guide Ibrahim was very informative and even wrote ny name in hieroglyphs in the sand and helped us take amazing pictures. Well worth the tour.

Our hotel arranged 2 tours of the pyramids in Giza including a camel ride. Then we went to the pyramids and sites in Saqquara, Memphis and Dahshur. We had a personal guide called Mary and a driver called Abdul. She was a fluent English speaker, qualified tour guide and very informed of all the sites and Egyptian history. Abdul was a very competent driver and we always felt safe in the vehicle, even on the Egyptian roads. The tours took you to the main sites and on both tours included an option of lunch in secluded restaurants allowing you to rest. The tour arranged all the tickets to allow you the time to go into the pyramids and get the full experience. Our guide arranged for a photographer to take our photos whilst at the pyramids and on the camel. They provided guidance on the tipping etiquette. As with any of these organised tours there is the obligatory visits to perfume, papyrus, carpets and jewellery stores.

We had a fantastic day seeing some amazing historical sights today. First we we're greeted at our hotel driver (Mohammed) and our guide (Dalia) exactly on time. After introductions we proceeded to have a great time seeing and learning about the Pyramids of Giza. The guide was very knowledgeable and even told us of history and information of places along the way to our destinations. We had a great morning full of facts about the Great pyramids and surrounding areas including the Sphinx and even rode a camel near the pyramids! We then headed to a local shop and learned how papyrus was made and used which was very interesting and we picked up some beautiful souvenirs. After we visited another shop that had amazing natural oils and we learned about thier history and the ancient processes that they used to make the oils. We then had a great lunch where we we're able to try some local cuisine. Once we had finished with lunch we then headed to the pyramids of Sakkara. The giant pillars were impressive and beautiful. After seeing the inside of one of the pyramids at Sakkara (partially closed but its ok) we then headed to the pyramids in Dahshur. The red pyramid was probably my favorite. The climb was difficult but worth it. The view was great from the entrance and then we took our time heading inside and down. We spent some time talking with the bats and looking at the impressive internal architecture that has held up the pyramid for thousands of years. After the long day of learning and exploring we enjoyed a ride back to our hotel filled with pleasant conversation as our guide pointed out other small bits here and there. We we're offered to be taken to more shops but we were way too tired by then and we're happy to return to the hotel. All in all we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Sun Pyramids Tours! We had an amazing day at Cairo with Sunpyramids. We were guided by an amazing tour guide Mahmoud Eman. We were picked up from our hotel on time, and the entire tour was done very efficiently, with expert commentary by Mahmoud. The pyramids are a once in a life time experience, and the camel ride with panoramic views of the pyramids was the icing on the cake. The other Mahmoud (AKA Vin Diesel 😊), who drove us around, ensured we arrived to airport on time for our transit to Aswan. Highly recommend this tour.

Mohammed (our guide) and Yassir (our driver) were both great. Mohammed’s commentary while travelling around the sights really added to our experience, and he kept us on track with timings too. He is an excellent guide (and a great photographer too). We customised our trip so that we could be taken directly back to the airport too, so Yassir ensured that our bags were safe in the back of the bus while we were enjoying the sights. Overall, I’d recommend our experience with this company.

Our driver Ahmed was excellent. He knew the back roads very well so we didn’t get stuck in traffic. Or guide Yasser was phenomenal, he had an infectious smile and was always laughing, lightening the mood and making it easy to ask questions. We didn’t find one question that he was not able to answer succinctly and to our satisfaction. He had good english language skills, repeated things many times throughout the tour so by the end you had a good understanding of the Cairo sights. We had a custom tour beginning with Step pyramid of Djoser , then Giza plateau and finally Egyptian museum. In total it took us from 8 am till 4 pm to see all of that. I would highly recommend this company and Yasser if you are looking for a one day visit to the important sights in Cairo based on value for money, a friendly atmosphere and superb tour guide knowledge.

My father always wanted to visit Egypt to see the Pyramids so we decided to come in February. We found Sun Pyramid Tours from our hotel and they are amazing. Seriously, our guide Mohamad Al Fayed was the best! Request him, you can’t go wrong. He made sure we saw exactly what we came to see. He also took all my pictures and got all the hilarious pictures around the pyramids to share with friends. His knowledge is top notch, every question answered. This tour company took care of everything! We were picked up every morning and dropped off at the hotel. The lunches included were delicious, seriously. Not cheap food great locations great quality! The van was also in tip top shape and our driver Mohamad Gaber was really nice. Very safe driver, courteous, always opening my door and making sure it was safe to get out and watched out for us every step of the way. Our hotel was Great Pyramid Inn which is also excellent. These two I believed work together and the entire trip was seamless. I arrived and they did the work! Charlie-

Simply put: Great trip, great guide (in German) We did the following three tours with him - guide Thabet = Egyptian with good language skills for all the numerous explanations: following three tours: New, large Egyptian Museum! Then: Citadel and Coptic churches plus a small glimpse on the side into the bazaar district! Then: exhausting but overwhelming: Various pyramids and tomb visits in Saqqara, Dahshur, and Memphis, the former and first capital of Egypt. Our guide was as enduring as we were, very knowledgeable, and reliable. He picked us up from the hotel on time and dropped us off there safely again. The trips during the 3 days of the tour were perfectly organized and the schedules were always respected. Honestly though for the price paid we would have expected more! Surely we are demanding travelers but watching the Sphinx on the fly to stay then more than 20 minutes in a tourist shop where they sell papyrus (must-see and tourist trap) was not the best for us! Our guide, who was over sixty and had trouble walking, often sat down and let us visit alone. That said our trip to Cairo will remain unforgettable but given the prices requested for the tours the services were not adequate at all!!

We had an unforgettable experience in this fabulous country thanks to Arwa. She helped us refine our trip with kindness and patience. We visited Egypt from Aswan to Cairo, via Luxor and Hurghada. Our guides spoke French and we had a great time with them. Everything was well organized, the car with driver on time, entrances were given to us on arrival on site so no waste of time, competent guide and we had time to take time. We are happy to have been in touch with Sun Pyramids tour which was present throughout our trip with a nice little word every day. We recommend this agency with your eyes closed!!! The experience was very good, with great commitment from Hamny as Guide and Driver. Very interesting, the food also very well. The service is fantastic, they contact the user from the day before to confirm everything. We also asked that you help us with transportation to visit Alexandria and it was impeccable. The driver Ahmed Shahatt was punctual and took us along the best routes. The only thing we lacked was a little more time in the pyramids of Giza. I think the best way to fix this is to tell tourists how much longer they should be in each place to avoid delays. Otherwise, highly recommended.

Classic mentality of wanting to cheat tourists very high costs for excursions of shorter duration than agreed, Guide interested more in taking us to the perfume and papyrus store (where they earn the percentage) than to respect the program. We had a program for 9 days after 2.5 days we got refunded with the refund we made perfect excursions with better guides and drivers and advanced more than half. Pseudo agency to stay away from.

The agency staff was attentive and helpful throughout the entire stay. The trained guides accompanied us to discover the wonders of Egypt and the trips organized by minibus with private driver were very comfortable and always punctual. Everything went perfectly without the slightest hitch.

I relied on Sun Pyramids Tour to organize 3 days of visits, from Cairo to the Valley of the Whales in the desert. Ahmed is a true professional, everything was organized perfectly, including the Nile cruise with dinner and show. Our companion Omar, the best ever, fantastic with our guys and always available. For all 3 days we had an exceptional guide, Mr Akef, very knowledgeable and very kind. Absolutely recommended

Seyed, our guide, was very good and competent in explaining the various archaeological sites to us. His Italian is very good, and his preparation is excellent. Also very good as a photographer, absolutely recommended!
