Cairo Tour: Old Egyptian Museum, Citadel & Coptic Cairo

Good tour to see the main sights of the old city. Unfortunately we did not get to see Khan al Khalili but everything else was accommodated with information provided. Mirna was very helpful as one of our group who needed more time walking and resting, identifying places for them to rest and was very supportive.

Good day out with Sayed Mahmoud (guide) and driver Ahmhed visiting Coptic and Islamic Cairo. They were happy to change the programme to suit my taste. I liked going to the mosque, it was more interesting. I got a blessing from thr Iman for my birthday.

This tour has some pluses and minuses: Pluses: The guide, Zeinab, contacted us a day earlier to make sure we had her contact information. She was also accommodating and provided us with a summary of how the day would go. She also took pictures of us. Minuses: The guide provided some historical information at the beginning of each point. This information was basic, not to the level of a certified tourist guide. Asking her questions did not feel comfortable. She didn't seem very open to conversation or to being asked about the historical sites we were visiting. It felt rushed, and she would let us wander, and she would sit on a corner waiting for us. She did not share lunch with us either. We had to figure out what we were eating. It was like having a planner more than a guide. I am glad we read books before coming to Egypt because the guide we had did not make the visit rich in historical knowledge.

This was a great tour. The tour guide is very friendly and considerate. The explanation from the tour is clear and concise, The whole journey went smoothly as planned due to good coordination between the tour guide and the driver who always arrived promptly as arranged.

Achieved my bucket list of visiting Eygpt but doubly grateful for being about to visit the Great Museum and see the Tutankhamen exhibition. Robert was fantastic with his knowledge of the exhibits in the museum, and the religious sites visited. Would recommend paying the extra and having a guide. Learnt so much today

The driver and the guide Isaac picked us up at the hotel right on time. We visited the places we wanted to see in Cairo. Guide Isaac gave us much information about the Egyptian history and we learned a lot. There was a very good communication and a friendly attitude. I would recommend this visit. The tour guide mr Sayed Mahmoud was very kind, attentive and took me swiftly through the most important points of our tour. Its great if you communicate how fast or slow and detailed you want your visit to be so he can adapt the tour better. I got to choose to pick up the lunch that was included and eat at my hotel because i was tired. I would recommend him and his company. Also mr Mustafa was a great and patient driver. The car was clean and new. Thank you for a great experience!

This tour is very informative and educational. Raina, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable about the places we visited. She was able to explained everything in a clear manner. We really had a blast inside the museum. If you love to dig dipper with Egyptian history, this tour is worth every penny.

Amazing experience, saw everything other than the pyramids which we did separately. We felt this was the best way to experience Cairo as it gave you time to seeing everything and have a rest before you did the next day! We had a great guide who was a curator at the Egyptian Museum so clearly knew what he was showing us. Thoroughly recommend this one.

Great experience. Soo much too see. Our guide Mira was extremely knowledgeable regarding the different churches, mosques, and temples. Our driver was always on time and got us safely to and from each location. I would recommend this tour, out guide Mira, and out driver.

Sayed Mahmoud was a brilliant guide, he showed us around the museum, the highlight of which was the Tutankhamun exhibition, Rita has wanted to see this for many years, it was wonderous. Rita has learning difficulties and Sayed was a model of patience with her, answering her questions and listening to her when she shared the knowledge she had of Tutankhamen. The tour delivered everything we wanted, and more. Sayed was a wonderful guide and when I requested not visiting the market, due to the stress felt at these places he agreed to remove that option, for which I was very grateful. Thank you Sayed.

We had a great experience doing this tour! Our guide was Youssef and he was very professional and taking care of us the whole time. He was explaining us everything... not only in the places we visited but also around the streets and about the culture. The tour was in English and he was clear and did a great job. Our driver Haney (I don't know if is the correct way to write the name) was also great, very kind. They pick us up on time in the hotel without any problem. And when I had to confirm the tour with someone of the company, I reached them easily through WhatsApp. I recommend this tour!

Very interesting day tour with Sayed Mahamud to the Coptic Cairo and national civilization museum. It is the second time to Cairo and always learn something new. Always worth going back. Driver Help is wonderful on the road also.

Went on an excellent tour with Sayed Mahmoud where he provided a detailed walkthrough of every site we visited. He also took me to a very nice shawarma and falafel restaurant, after which he treated me to coffee. Sayed is extremely service-oriented and accommodating and I highly recommend asking for him if you’re looking for any trip in Cairo. I also booked this tour about 9 hours before it started and Emo Tours was very responsive and quick to set everything up. They also have very reasonable prices so it’s an excellent option if you’re looking for good value.

Our experienced guide Sayed Mahmoud and professional driver Mohmed were amazing! Our special interest was Coptic city and we booked the full day tour including lunch and admission fees. It was so nice to have everything explained, and all the details taken care of. The lunch was simply wonderful. They were so patient and flexible with our special requests along they way, and Sayed helped us find some key items on our shopping list, and made sure we were treated well by the vendors. We would take another tour with Sayed in a heartbeat and are truly grateful.

This was our second day on a tour of the Egyptian Museum followed by the Citadel and the Albestor Mosque. Our tour guide was once again Sayed Mahmoud and a new driver Abdy. Both were excellent. Sayed as usual is a wealth of knowledge which made the tour so memorable. Sayed always made sure we were able to get the best experience from the tour. He suggested we add the Citadel and the Albestor mosque to the tour as it was a must see. We were so glad we listened to him as we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sayed Mahmoud and Ali were amazing tour guide and driver. Both made our experience very comfortable and made sure we were having a great time! We went to several palaces and museums and saw many things that tourists would not see on their own! Our tour included lunch and Sayed made sure we had several different foods to try! Essam was extremely knowledgeable, engaging, patient and positive. I travel extensively throughout the world and I always procure a guide for various excursions and tours. Essam was one of the best guides that I have experienced in all of my travels. The most Amazing Day in Cairo.We were so lucky that Emo tours allocated Essam(The BEST GUIDE) to be our guide again for the Museum and Cairo Citadel tour.We had been with Essam the day before at the Pyramids so this gave us consistancy in our learning experience.Essam is a Truly wonderful qualified Egyptologist and never tired of our constant questions and hypothetical suggestions as to why and how things were the way they appeared in the Museum. As for the visit to Sahlahdins Citadel and the Mohamed Ali Bashir Mosque things just got better and better.We sat in this amazing Historically significant spot while Essam downloaded the most succulent Historical facts to us as well as patiently discussing our questions about the mosque and Islam. It was a true education and delivered so Humbly and precisely. The second part was a requested(by us) trip to the Old market on Cairo My daughter was very nervous about this as she does not cope that well with the HARD SELL aspect of such places Once again Essam came into his own..leading us deep into the ancient market with JEDI like stealth and shielding us from all but the most smiley respectful sellers.We bought what we wanted with minimal hassle and gentle negotiations. We are off to Luxor today and will do tours with Emo tours there too. We only wish we could arrange to have Essam accompany us there too...but in true Essam style he assured us that Emo tours will provide us with someone much better than he for our other tours in Luxor.....not possible. Today was an amazing day filled with lots of wonderful information from the Egyptian Museum and Old de Cairo. Osama was so knowledgeable and he is very patient with helping us understand and learn about all the Egyptian history. We also spent time at the El khall Bazaar shopping for souvenirs.

Osama took us to the pyramids, Egyptian museum and the Old Cairo Bazar. Everything was perfect and had a lot of fun. Osama was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He’s also very good at taking pictures! I highly recommend EmoTours and Osama. For the pyramids day, we rode camels around the pyramids and went inside the biggest pyramid Khufu which was an adventure. We also rode ATVs around the pyramids and took pictures along the way. For the Egyptian museum, we saw beautiful ancient artifacts from thousands of years ago and even saw the treasure of King Tutankhamun which was incredible. For the bazar, we saw a lot of shops and things to purchase. It was fun looking around at all of souvenirs and products people were selling. Old Cairo Churches were beautiful! We saw where baby Jesus slept in the church which was really great to see and the hanging church.

My husband and I had a fabulous tour of Cairo with Tonsi. The day was beautiful, our driver was professional, and Tonsi was so knowledgeable. We enjoyed the beautiful views of the city and saw some amazing mosques. Tonsi answered all of our questions about his faith as we were very curious. In Christian Cairo, we were able to visit the church where Joseph and Mary hid with the baby Jesus during their time in Egypt. So special! The Egyptian Museum was a dream come true. So many beautiful and intersting artifacts! Not to be missed! Ask for Tonsi.

I went op a tour with mamdouh kamal and it was an excellent tour, he speaks his languages very well and explained a lot about the egypte history and culture. The driver Ahmad handy was very well in finding the best routes through the city of caïro. He also was very curtiausWe went to the citadel, Islamic and coptic area and last but not least the national museum. Also the lunch was excellent, on the banks of the rivernile

For me, the best part was seeing the gold mask of King Tut Ankh Amun at the Egyptian Museum. What made this experience even better was having Nesma our guide, narrate the exhibits. Without her, we would have breezed through in 15 minutes not understanding the history behind the showcases. The tour continued into the Cairo Citadel and Islamic Mosques as well as Old Coptic Cairo and Christianity. The Ben Ezra Synagogue was not open on this day. Nesma is the tour guide we had, a wealth of information.. Very professional, punctual, and delivered as promised! We highly recommend her, when you choose Emo Tours Egypt.. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
