• Lovely air conditioned car. • Both driver and guide friendly and approachable. • Seyed Mahmoud (the guide) was very knowledgeable and offered to take lots of pictures for me. He would let me know what the next part of the tour was and if I had no interest, we could skip. When I would ask to sit down for a bit, he would always give me as much time as I needed to recover.

Pickup from your hotel in either Cairo or Giza by tour guide to start your tour . The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza Necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza. All were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. The site also includes several cemeteries and the remains of a workers' village. The site is at the edges of the Western Desert, approximately 9 km (5 mi) west of the Nile River in the city of Giza, and about 13 km (8 mi) southwest of the city center of Cairo.
Khufu's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman; diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been found but the site has not been excavated.[4][5] The valley temple was connected to a causeway which was largely destroyed when the village was constructed.
Khafre's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king's pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860.
The Sphinx dates from the reign of king Khafre.[7] During the New Kingdom, Amenhotep II dedicated a new temple to Hauron-Haremakhet and this structure was added onto by later rulers.
Menkaure's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king's pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple.

Built in 1901 by the Italian construction company Garozzo-Zaffarani to a design by the French architect Marcel Dourgnon, the edifice is one of the largest museums in the region. As of March 2019, the museum is open to the public. In 2020 the museum is due to be superseded by the new Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza.

This was a very disappointing start to what was supposed to be a smooth layover tour that I took on 16th Feb 2026. Pickup was scheduled for 9:00 AM. I landed early, informed the company that I was waiting, and was told on whatsapp to come outside the terminal. After exiting, no one was there. I waited **1.5+ hours** before anyone showed up. Support was extremely unhelpful. I kept being told “2 minutes” and “10 minutes” repeatedly, with no real updates, reassurance, or accountability. Standing outside a terminal in a foreign country with no support or clear communication is unacceptable and unprofessional for a tour company. To be fair, the guide who eventually arrived was kind and friendly. However, the experience was already ruined by the chaotic and stressful start. Also, although this was booked as a **private tour**, I later realized the same guide was handling another tour at the same time (different vehicles, different guests). I personally didn’t mind this, but if resources are being split across multiple tours, I would expect transparent pricing or reduced cost. Overall. poor coordination, weak customer support, long delays, and a very stressful experience. The operational side of Emo Tours seriously needs improvement.
Sayed Mahmoud was really good in showing around places , recommend this tour of layover in Cairo. It was indeed a nice trip with all the information about places we visited
It was an incredible day. My guide, Sayed Mahmoud, was super attentive, full of information, and always kind and friendly. We visited the pyramids and the Sphinx in the morning, avoiding the crowds. And the driver, Sahad, was also very friendly and attentive.
Great service, good price. Went with my family and we all had a great time. They picked us up from the airport and we did a pyramid trip. Highly recommend
Great few hours from Cairo airport. Guide mr Amr Fouad and driver were really helpful and patient. We visited Giza and pyramids. Really amazing experience with nice photos.
This was the ideal way to spend a layover in Cairo. Visiting the pyramids was unforgettable, and our driver took care of our luggage while we explored. Our guide, Khadija, was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the experience even more special. Highly recommend for a quick, hassle-free
This was one of my best tours that I have made with less the 8 hour in Egypt and I want to thank Muhammad Fadel Momo tours company owner for his effort with me, he made my day different and and worth the time I spent during my layover. He protected me from scams many times thanks to his relations with police men everywhere and he got me many juices and Scarfs because of heat explained everything as perfect as I have ever heard in documentary films if I could give him 7 of 5 stars I would thank you momo tours for everything and will never forget this trip!!
Mohammed was an excellent driver who was sure to provide us with a great experience during our brief time in Cairo. He was thoughtful, funny, and willing to give suggestions and insights in the city.
Good organization. Everything worked out perfectly. Pick-up at airport, Nile-cruise, Pyramids, lunch and shopping. Thanks to Hamid our guide.
Make sure if you go on a tour you get the guide Sayed Mahmoud and driver Heny. Sayed was a wonderful guide; always making sure we were having the best time and happily tailoring the day to meet our needs. He also helped us haggle for better prices on the beautiful scarves we bought, and even gifted us with delicious sugar cane juice and egyptian sweets. Heny was a great driver- even with crowded roads he always found a way through and kept the car nice and cool. I highly recommend booking with Emo Tours and asking to see if Sayed and Heny can take you around.
Great your with tour guide Sameh, who was always kind and helpful in dealing with all the locals on our way to the pyramids and thorough the Bazaar, and it was amazing how much he could explain in the Egyptian Museum about all the artifacts, I really wouldn't have wanted to miss out on having him as a guide!
Mahmoud and Engy with Emo tours have been amazing, made us feel safe and showed us a very good time, they have made everything easy and smooth for our trip. It has been an experience and everyone has been so nice and respectful. Most definitely recommend this company and ask for them as your guides. Thanks guys
It was a very nice tour. My guide, Ahmed Elsayed, was very professional, friendly and made everything for me to feel safe and comfortable. Thank you Ahmed! And big thanks also to the driver, Abdullah, who took us all around. The pyramids, Egyptian Museum and Khan Khalili bazaar were really nice places to visit. I had an amazing day! Really good value for the price.
The tour guide, Ehab was punctual and gave us a detailed itinerary for the day. We went straight to the pyramids and he knew all the perfect areas to take pictures, he is very knowledgeable and kind. We were able to visit the Sphinx and went to the perfume palace which was a lot of fun and a few other stores. We went to the Egypt Museum where Ehab informed us on each piece of artifact and answered all of our questions. He was patience and accommodating to our needs. Thank you Emo tours for a wonderful first day!

Mamdouh Kamal was my tour guide, he is very professional and knowledgeable. He is a lovely man, with his help my day in Cairo was been amazing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Simply put, Mishu made the day for us. The key was his archeology knowledge and his knowing secret little corners of the place. Extremely happy to get such inside details -- plus in and out fast (3 hours or so).
We really enjoyed day together with Ola. She wait us on Airport and since pickup we been in best hands. With professional driver we head to Giza pyramids. In air conditioned car was ready refreshments and water. Her flexibility was unlimited and we cloud modify program according our interest. It was wonderful experience.
I had the private tour which was very difficult for my guide ( Yassin) because I got off the plane at 14:30 and the site ( Puramids) closes at 16:00. He offered me many options, ( camel ride, papyrus shops, etc) trying his best to get me in contact with the Egyptian culture. I had lunch in a restaurant overlooking Pyramids, and he proposed me the light and sound show, which was a really great idea because i had a beautiful sunset time where i manage to see the Pyramids without annoyance, very relaxed and admire them as they deserve. Finally he got me back at the airport even though it was late. I like to thank Yassin once again !
With a twelve hour layover in Cairo, we found the perfect solution through EMO Tours. They offer wonderful private or group tours with pick up from and delivery back to the Airport. Our guide for the day, Mohamed Salah, was fantastic. He knew exactly where to take us so we could squeeze in as much sightseeing in the few hours we had. He was extremely personable and very knowledgeable, which made the tour most enjoyable and very memorable. We were also given a driver, Hani, who somehow managed to chauffeur us all over in the crazy Cairo traffic. We were able to enjoy the museum, walk on the pyramids at Giza, ride a camel, enjoy an authentic Egyptian mixed grill, learn the art of paper making from papyrus and visit a perfume factory — all for an incredibly reasonable cost. If you have a lengthy layover in Cairo most definitely take an EMO tour and ask for Mohamed Salah and Hani. You will be thrilled you did. We most definitely are.
Ahmed was a great guide. We got to do everything we set out to do and he was great at explaining the history. Would recommend him and emo to anyone!
I used Ahmed tonsi for a few days in Cairo then flew to Luxor. When I came back, Tonsi was waiting at the airport, and then took us out. Then the next day we did a day trip around Cairo - so awesome! It was like being shown around a home city by a friend.
Best layover ever!!! Look, I'm not going to talk about the sights (pyramid, bazaar, etc), that's table stakes. I'm gonna talk about Emo Tours and our guide. Wow! We are on a budget trip and had a 15 hour layover in Cairo, which means we didn't sleep and our energy was low when arriving for our tour at 9 am. Then we met our guide from Emo, (name)! His energy was high and he just was so fun. We were awakened! We spent the day with him and the driver and simply had the best time! There were some really unique stops like the perfume shop and papyrus shop - free drink while you hear their pitches, but we LOVED Abraham and his papyrus stories. We highly recommend this tour! My wife had a hurt leg and they accommodated on pace and simply knew how to keep the timing fun, never rushed while jam packing the day with the sights. We don't always pay to do a tour, but when we do in Cairo, it's gotta be Emo with (name)! Do it!
Enjoyed a great layover tour to the pyramids with Emo Tours. Our pick up was on time and once we arrived our wonderful guide Ola took time to explain the history in detail and help us find the best places to view the different pyramids. For anyone apprehensive of visiting Giza and the magnificent pyramids, I would definitely recommend Emo Tours and the services of Ola.

Tour Perfect!

If you don't have much time in Cairo this is the best. The Tour guy waited for us in the airport. Explained the itinerary and was open to adjust to our preferences. He arrange the itinerary for our best needs. The pyramids ware amazing. We got close to them and even got inside one of them. We took lots pictures... walked around and the guide was always very instructive.

Then we went to a local lunch in a buffet stile restaurant. Good food and variety. Only you have to pay for the drinks. After that we were offered to go to different places and we choose the perfume fabric an the the papyri fabric shops. After all of that ...then we headed back to the airport on time.

The timing was perfect. The tour bus was good and with air conditioning. It was perfect.

Great tour!! Could not have spent the time better in Cairo! Recommend this for anyone transiting through Cairo.

Very complete excursion to the best places in Islamic Cairo with the guide Amir from Emo Tourr who showed great knowledge of the city and its history. I highly recommend and thank Amir for all the care he showed
I recommend without hesitation IBRAHIM who speaks very good French, with great knowledge and kindness that are rare. A wonderful meeting! We who travel often have rarely seen such a beautiful experience. Once again a big thank you for all the knowledge you shared with us and all the places you made us discover... just a Guide to the TOP!!! 100/100 😁
Great day with Mamdouh qamal! A super friendly guide who knows the history of Egypt very well and takes great photos in addition! I highly recommend it! Thank you Mamdouh!
Ayman mój przewodnik cierpliwie czekał na mnie przy wyjściu z terminala na lotnisku Kairze. Poszliśmy do samochodu skąd z kierowcą Mohamedem pojechaliśmy do Gizy. Mam bardzo miłe wspomnienia z tej wycieczki. Mohamed bezpiecznie zawiózł i przywiózł na lotnisko. Ayman pokazał najciekawsze miejsca i asystował przy robieniu zdjęć. W cenie był przejazd wielbłądem i butelka wody i przekąski. Na koniec odwiedziliśmy na chwilę fabrykę papirusu. Polecam!
