You get up close and personal to the pyramids. You get a great history lesson at the museum. Food was amazing and bargains at the bazaar were great too. Hassan was an excellent tour guide. He gives you just enough about each site and gives you time to explore yourselves. Our tour was a private one so our driver always had the car available, nice and cool.

The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex bordering present-day El Giza, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact
The second largest pyramid at Giza and in Egypt was built for Khafre, the third pharaoh of the 4th Dynasty during the Old Kingdom Period of Ancient Egypt around 2540 BC. Khafre, also known in history by the Greek name Chephren, was the son of Khufu, who is the Great Pyramid and the grandson of Sneferu, another great builder of Ancient Egypt. External visit is included but inside the pyramid is not as it requires additional ticket can be bought during the visit
The Sphinx - The legendary guardian that stands by the huge funeral complex with its lion body and the head of king Chephren.
One of the world’s most important collections of ancient artefacts, the Egyptian Museum takes pride of place in Downtown Cairo, on the north side of Midan Tahrir. Inside the great domed, oddly pinkish building, the glittering treasures of Tutankhamun and other great pharaohs lie alongside the grave goods, mummies, jewellery, eating bowls and toys of Egyptians whose names are lost to history. To walk around the museum is to embark on an adventure through time.
Midan Tahrir (Liberation Sq) gained world renown in early 2011, when millions of Egyptians converged here to oust then-president Hosni Mubarak. On a regular day, it’s just your average giant roundabout (traffic circle), albeit one where half-a-dozen major arteries converge. The main reason you'll pass through is to visit the powder-pink puffball bulk of the Egyptian Museum.

It forms the northernmost part of the 16,000 ha Pyramid Fields in the Western Desert edge of the Nile Valley that are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Memphis and its Necropolis. I was repeatedly asked when I was done visiting the pyramids during the 4 hours I was there. I ask the driver recommendation for typical food, I was brought to a buffet with the driest food. 2 hours before the supposed end of tour, before going to the museum, I was told I needed to choose between the museum and the rest of the tour. At 4pm, the car needed to be given back. The tour was supposed to last between 8 and 10 hours. It was cut short because “I took too much time” at the Pyramids.
Amazing trip around the Giza Pyramids. My guide was excellent 👍, very friendly and knowledgeable. Well worth the trip.
I gave it a lot of thoughts on deciding to give this review. I would definitely say the trip was very informative and the driver took care of us very well. However, the tour started off late with the tour guide rushing through each places which we felt like we couldn't get a moment to enjoy each places. She took us to 2 shops that was not in the itinerary which was only for us to buy things. By 2pm she didn't say anything about lunch which we know it's not included but still we have to eat but she did not want because she wanted to end the tour even though we paid for a tour of 8 to 10 hours. After asking about seeing Khan el Khalili bazaar which she haven't taken us, we felt her being bothered by it. Then she took us to a bazaar for 10 mins which is nothing what we expected. Later on we found out she took us to a wrong side of the bazaar. She then ended the tour in a bad way which ruined our experience entirely.
Good value for money, driver flexibly accommodated my requests for timing and places to see along the way
The tour began well, with a knowledgeable guide who shared historical insights, especially at Saqqara. Hwr, once we arrived at the first pyramid, we were told not to go close, & from then on, the experience felt rushed. We were quickly moved through the main sites but taken to three shops not listed in the itinerary, where we spent far more time than at the pyramids. The guide didn’t take us near all the Giza pyramids—only one—and it wasn’t until the end that we were told the attractions close at 4:00 PM. Had we known that earlier, we would’ve skipped the shop visits to enjoy more time at the pyramids. Overall, the guide was informative, but the tour felt unbalanced and rushed where it mattered most.
Our guide was Sayed Amin and driver Abdul Asazem. We always felt very comfortable and safe throughout our experience.Sayed is passionate about Egyptian history and brought it all to life! We had a wonderful day and felt like they went above and beyond. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
I am putting one star for this tour for the 3 following rasons: 1-The tour company added a stop not mentioned in the itinerary. It was for a papyrus "museum" selling them for 10 to 20 times the cost.. claiming they are original and unique. Realised the scam a day later when I saw same things sold a fraction of the price. I papyrus 2-The tour guide while knowledgeable, was full of racisme.. She made me disgusted by the way she was talking about black people, and some civilization who occupied egypt. 3- I pre-paid full fares for the admission fee. As an Arab national, I was eligible for discounted fares. The agency knew and never mentioned it although they bought the discounted tickets. I was refunded a portion of the admission fee when I raised this. Still they kept a portion for themselves Overall average tour which you can book yourself for 1/3 the cost and avoid the scams.
Our tour with Mohammad as our guide was incredible. He was very thorough in explaining everything, making sure we asked any questions we had, and overall making sure the tour was a great success. I would definitely recommend a tour with Mohammad as your guide!
Booking through Viator made it very easy to organise my day trip to Cairo from Hurghada. I found a trip that allowed me to see the main highlights and the Tour Company EMO Tours who were excellent. I booked a private tour and thoroughly recommend as the Guide and Driver can flex the day to fit your agenda. Our guide Mohammad met us outside the airport on time. He was really educated in the history of Giza and Pyramids and especially was excellent taking us around the museum and gave us detailed info on each of the exhibits. We were two females travelling on our own but we felt very safe and was a great experience. The guide spoke excellent English .
The tour was overall fine. Our guide was friendly and professional but not that good at tailoring information to our needs or interests, perhaps because she is relatively new. The company was easy to communicate with in advance through WhatsApp.
The lady Sarah was excellent. She was professional and friendly. She had very good knowledge. Thank you Sarah for an mazing day.
The tour team is comprise of two persons, the driver (Karim) and the guide(Ahmed). The driver is 5* very polite and very professional, but the guide ruin it. I had the tour with my wife and in the middle of the tour, he made a video call with someone that he was trying to hook me up with!!! It was very unpleasant and ruined one experience that had everything to be unforgettable.
Tour was informative. Pyramids were spectacular. Cairo extremely dirty but lots of history to see. ..
Ahmed our tour guide made our trip very memorable. He treated us like family and he went out of his way to ensure that we were safe during the tour. Ahmed is not only a great tour guide but also a professional photographer, he took excellent photos and videos and left us with unforgettable memories. Ahmed is also highly knowledgeable about Egyptian History and was very forthcoming about tourist traps and scams. We highly recommend Ahmed of Viator to all travelers to Egypt. Ahmed and our Driver Mohammed were excellent and were very pleasant and fun to be with.
I was sent a guide who just could not speak English!!! Being a linguist myself, in the beginning I thought it would be fun to struggle a bit, but after 30 minutes I was exhausted and very sad, because this is a once in a lifetime experience... Olivia may be indeed an "arkoolozist" but it took me another hour to understand that "surfax" is actually a sarcophagus and that "kusametik aeparoos" means painted eyebrows. Between visits I was in a car where she was only speaking with the driver under music, or they both spoke on their phones instead of giving a couple of information, like other viator guides do. But the worst part is that every single of my questions had two answers: "Hmmm" and "Yaaa...". I am terribly disappointed because this is so bad for business, for such a lovely country l, and such a waste of valuable time for me, who might never be able to make it back to Egypt...
Great excursion. Loads to see. We were whizzed through some parts of the day. But only later did we realise there was simply so much to fit in! Our guide didn't speak the best of English, but tried his best to help with everything. We enjoyed our day very much.
Easy arrangements with the Egyptologist for pickup and the tour. Knowledgeable person that ticked all the boxes, highly recommend this tour. Well worth it. The lunch was ok and it was a nice experience. My only recommendation would be to have a lighter version of the historical information that you have to absorb. It’s also a holiday and your mind needs to relax a bit. Info overload.
It was a well organised and quite enjoyable day trip in Cairo and Giza and Sayed Mahmoud was a wonderful guide! His English was great and he could easily explain everything we wanted to know. We would definitely have him as a guide for the other sights of Egypt as well! The driver was skilled and despite the heavy traffic we never waited for him for more than a minute or two.
Hamafa my driver was fabulous. He was very informative and took me to see best views for pyramids and gave me plenty of time at the Egyptian museum. It was a great day. A fun experience. I highly recommend his service. Thanks very much,🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely amazing experience! We had Nehad as our tour guide and she is beyond amazing. She brought the pyramids to life with her explanation, and did a really good job at the Egyptian museum. She really took care of us and helped us whenever we needed something. She speaks excellent English and her accent is very easy to understand. Our driver was great, he drove very safely, and the car was comfortable. Contacting the tour operator on viator was easy and they always responded quickly. All in all a really great day tour.
The pyramids, museum and bazaar in one day is a bit of a tight schedule, but we are glad we did it, it was a great day.
Our Cairo trip is superb! Thanks to Emotours especially to Bossi our guide. She's really great and cool! It's like we just met a new friend with her. You'll know Cairo at Giza history in just a snap because of her. She's very nice, attentive and willing to lend extra hand to make her guest comfortable. We had a problem with our internet and she helped us which I don't think still included in our tour. It was a long 2 day tour for us but it's really worth it. Will definitely go back. Surely will recommend this trip to our friends.
The driver was late for pickup and didn't knew the routes. Was rash driving and had two accidents. The guide was good but gave only very brief description about places or things. Overall, it was ok.
Visiting inside the Pyramid and the panoramic view of the pyramids for photos was really good, Driver was always on time and was really helpful!
Our tour guide was simply AMAZING. Door to door service with a smile. He made sure we were well taken care of; he was fun and knowledgeable. He shared all the background on everyplace we went and he took TONS of pictures for us and sent them to us. It was amazing but our guide made it spectacular
Ahmed was our guide and Yusuf was our driver. They both treated my husband and I like family. Ahmed is very knowledgeable about ancient Egyptian history and was able to explain fine details in a very organized way. He also took great pictures and helped us haggle with the shopkeepers. Ahmed was so generous and hospitable that he even bought us street food. All in all, great experience and highly recommend
I had the best trip ever in Cairo. The pyramid tour was mind blowing, i could not believe my eyes are seeing the pyramids for real. The Egyptian museum was very educational, learnt Egyptian's past era's history, have seen the artifacts from 3,000 yrs ago! My tour guide Noha was very knowledgeable and helpful, she was great in sharing good stories about the pyramids and content of the museum. I learned a lot from her and from this tour. Highly recommended. Gly Dagdag Dubai UAE
We were met at the airport by our guide Ola, she was very knowledgeable and guided us through the city of Cairo, the antiques museum and the Giza Pyramid complex. We enjoyed hearing about Egyptian history from ancient times to recent times, and we learned a lot. In particular, we like the amazing museum and the camel ride at the Pyramids. The lunch was included in the tour and the food was tasty typical Egyptian cuisine, with local band. We enjoyed the free time at the Khalil market. The driver Mena was very skillful in navigating Cairo traffic taking us back to the airport on time.
Really good tour! As a solo traveller, I strongly recommend and the price is fair for what you get 😊 Driver Mohamed and guide Khaled were both polite, friendly and attentive, and showed us exactly on time. The pyramids is absolutely something you should do, and Khaled really added value by taking the time to share the stories and history, as well as taking as many photos as you wish. You are also unlikely to be hassled by touts if you travel with a guide. The view at the front of the pyramids is wonderful, but the real benefit of this tour is that guide and driver will take you to the other side to see the panoramic view quickly and comfortably. Similarly, Khaled added a lot of value at the Egyptian Museum, pointing out details and explaining parts of the history that I would never have noticed myself. The bazaar, as other reviews have said, is fine but a bit of a tourist trap. If pushed for time, cut this. After the trip, I was happy to tip both driver and guide. But they did not ask for a tip, and I did not get the impression I would have been hassled had I neglected to. Other useful information: The company was happy to arrange for me to be picked up at one hotel and dropped off at another, keeping my case in the boot the entire time, with no extra charge. If you opt for the "without meal" option, make sure you have something to eat before you go and bring some snacks - it's quite a long day and plenty of time in the car between stops to have a banana.
Being able to see these monuments that were thousands of years old was unbelievable. To be able to construct and build without today's modern tools was overwhelming. Seeing the skill and craftsmanship of the items in the museum was breathtaking.
This was our 3rd tour with EMO Tours which we booked after our first tour and requested the same tour guide and driver as we had before. Our first guide already had a tour but we did get the driver we requested. Mohamed was amazing, he expertly handled all of the Cairo traffic and left feeling like we had a new friend in Cairo. After being picked up at our hotel, we were taken to the street Bazzar first thing so we could walk the streets prior to all of the vendors opening up which made looking at the churches and sights easier and without being hassled by the vendors. Next we spent about 1.5 hours inside the Egyptian Museum where our guide (cannot remember his name) showed us all of the major highlights and kept us away from the very large groups inside the museum. After the museum, we spent time doing a little shopping (we requested) at the essential oils, papyrus paper and finishing at a souvenir shop hosted by EMO tours so we could do our shopping in peace without the hassle from the street vendors. All vendors in Egypt are extremely pushy so any store you can find where they allow you to shop in peace, is a major blessing. Our last tourist spot was the Giza Plateau, which was the highlight of the tour and our trip to Egypt. Our guide provided us with history of the pyramids and sphinx all while taking amazing pictures for us. We ended the day with lunch and included soup, pita bread with dips, your choice of lamb or chicken (or combo) which was served with rice and fries and fruit for dessert. A drink is not included with the lunch so make sure to have some pounds with you to pay if you do get a drink. I highly recommend booking your tours in Egypt with EMO Tours! You will not be disappointed.
Had a great day I spent a lot of time at the pyramids got to see the inside of one also saw how paper was made from papyrus then spent a lot of time at the Egyptian museum saw the best exhibits even a couple of mummies
The driver and the tourist guide had emmense knowledge of the place and provided us with detailed information about the city, meusem and the pyramids. Had an amzingly informative day and they were very nice and courteous. They helped us alot and eventually made a tour worth it. Special thanks to Mahmoud El Wakeel for being an amazing guide. They deserve five star and more.
He is very good man , good explanation over our whole tour , nice photographer also. Intelligent and kind mam.Thank you being guide for us.
A full day visiting the pyramids, the bazar and Cairo museum sound and incredible experience itself but doing with an experience kind and fun tour guide will make your trip an unforgettable memory that will last for a lifetime and Tonsi is that guide you definitely should pick for the job . Thank you Emo tours and mr Tonsi for your time and patience with us !
My tour guide, Ayman Emo, was excellent! He was very energetic and had a wealth of knowledge about Egypt to share! He was also flexible to my needs as I had requests to visit to Khan El Khalili and a nearby restaurant that serves koshary. I at first did not want to go into one of the pyramids (Keop's son) but I'm glad he recommended it to me. Outstanding job by Ayman and his driver!
Osama and Ahmed (aka Nice to Meet Me) made this trip absolutely amazing! Osama was extremely knowledgeable of the history of the sites we were visiting and a great photographer. They were both very accommodating and even made stops that weren’t on the tour in order for us to see local shops that we were interested in. Would highly recommend to anyone coming to Giza !
Amazing Tour! We got an amazing price for an unforgettable experience!! Our Tour Guide was exceptional and always going the extra mile to make the tour more enjoyable! 100% recommend!!
Ibrahim and Tonsi were AMAZING guides! They were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Since we were with them, we were barley hassled by street vendors. My friend and I even wanted to change destinations to our original tour, and they were fine with it. Whatever we wanted to do, they were willing to help. I definitely recommend these people! If you’re going to go see the pyramids, and the Sphinx, you should book these guys. A tour guide is a must!
Our guide Tansi! He was amazing. We laughed, learned a TON about Egyptian culture both new and old, and just had an incredible time!
Ayman is an awesome guide, my grandson enjoy and learn a lot in his first trip to Egypt. He help my husband to find a cobra head for his truck that we tought was impossible to do and he did it. He has a lot of patience with older people ( my husband and I).
This was my family’s first excursion to Egypt and we had the best experience! Perhaps what complimented our experience was the knowledge, charisma, accessibility, and resourcefulness of our tour guide, Osama!! We had a really great time and will be back. Thanks again Osama S.!!!
Excellent experience. We had Tonsi as a guide and Hamdi as a driver, they were awesome. I recommend this to anyone visiting Cairo.
We had an amazing time on this tour and were very well looked after. The tour guide and driver are both attentive and helpful and very kind. We had a very educational trip and it was catered to our needs. Would definitely recommend this tour!
The best experience of a lifetime very friendly tour guide I recommend hasan down to earth guy made me feel very welcome to egypt and very experience could not ask for a better day once in a lifetime thankyou so much
Awesome tour with emo tours and Ehab Hoba! We did a full day private tour of the pyramids, citadel, and Alazhar park. He was very well informed, knew the history, and spoke good English. We highly recommend him for your tours in Egypt. The driver Ibrahim was very professional and an excellent driver though crowded Cairo traffic. Overall great tour with great guide and driver!
Great tour with tonsi tonsi. Full day. Very imformative and knowledgeable of egypt. Really felt at home with him. Prompt on time @ arrival for pick up. Multiple sites visited. Tonsi was very helpful in the market place (bazaar). Didnt let us get swindled or taken advantage of. Visited egyptian museum, giza pyramids, great sphinx, oil store(choosen) , lunch at great restaurant (included), bazaar. Could have visited more places but was tired at that point. Lol. Great tour guide. Great service. Would rate him 100 on a scale of 10 really made us feel comfortable and at at home.
Amazing experience. Our tour guide Ayman has been very professional with his very deep and precise Egyptology knowledge. He also gave us some ideas for fantastic pictures. The lunch was very good. Very recommended to everyone who wants to enjoy Pyramids and Cairo. Good drive by Mohamed. Thanks again both and all the best. Mira & Andrea
Amazing tour! The visit itself is very well planned, with special attention in punctuality and professionalism. Our guide, Mahmoud El Wakeel, is a superb historian and a very nice and caring guy, who recommended to us the best places to take pictures, buy souvenirs and activities. 100% recommended.
