I rate this experience highly but I have enjoyed Cairo for the first time. I love the visit to all attractions. My guide helped me to understand the culture and the history.

Seamless and Stress-Free! "Viator made my trip logistics a breeze. The app is incredibly easy to navigate, and all the tour information was 100% accurate. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. I’ll definitely be using this for all my future travels and recommending it to my friends and family!"
Overall, we really enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide, Salem, and our driver were great. Salem is very knowledgeable and had great insight to share. Only thing we didn’t just love about this tour was the Citadel. While we were really excited about the visit, so much of the Citadel was closed for construction. Only the two Mosque were open and available to visit. While the Mosque were incredibly, we wished we could have seen the many other areas of the fortress.
Cairo has layers upon layers of history, and this tour gave me the chance to learn about them. The private tour was very flexible with the schedule, and I am grateful to have had such an excellent guide. Relaxing comfortable air-conditioned transfers.
Abdul was a great driver and accomodating to our needs throughout the day. He speaks fluent English. Highly recommend him.
Lobna was so knowledgeable, friendly and the perfect guide. Would definitely recommend this tour. The citadel tour was absolutely wonderful.
Luckily we found a tour guide who can speak our mother language (Japanese), Honey ( could be wrong spelling). He has a deep knowledge of the history of Egypt and showed us the most important place at the museum. Normally I don’t like to spend too much time in museum but this time I had a great time because of him. He is very kind and patient as well. I strongly recommend to find a nice guide. I am sure you can find one from this company. Also a driver is very important in Cairo. The driver was one of the best!!
Our day with Mr.Ali Nagoya was perfectly fine. He is knowledgeable person about the history. We just so sad that we don't have enough time with him for him to explain a lot of thing.
This is a nice tour that I enjoyed. Didn’t like the bazaar, I thought I would die in there as vendor are too aggressive. There was almost a fight between them and one of them grab my friend and did want to let her leave.
It was a great experience! Wonderful way to see the city and know more about the history of Egypt!!!
The itinerary for this tour is well put together but sometimes feels rushed, especially at the museum when we appreciate taking our time to digest the information and to enjoy the displays. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly but kept asking inappropriate questions to our female companion, making the experience less enjoyable.
This was a nice tour of some sights in Cairo. Our guide Khalid was nice and knowledgeable. Worth it if you want to learn about some background about items in the museum and to visit the market. The lunch was tasty and in a nice restaurant.
Good trip for first day through Cairo. Gets you to all the interesting spots and must sees in the city.
The most knowledgeable tour guide, Rabi, of our stay in Cairo. He was very informative, giving details about Cairo that one would never have expected. He showed us the highlights of the museum and was very detailed in his explanations at the museum as well as at the Citdael/Muhammad Ali Mosque. Only suggestion: when in an area such as the museum it would come off and make the guest more comfortable if he were to wait if other groups finished before he got us up to the exhibit (there were a few times during our museum tour where he would step in front of other large groups and pull us to the front of the exhibit even though the other groups were there first). Other than this he made us feel very comfortable, he made us feel welcomed , he provided us with a wealth of knowledge which was amazing.
I would definitely recommend this tour. Ahmed was the best! He is very knowledgeable and passionate with his job. He really cared and made his best to create a great overall experience for us.
Our tour in Cairo was great. Ayman our tour guide was great, polite and very knowledgeable. He’s fluent in English. He went above and beyond to answer all of our historical and cultural questions. We enjoyed the tour with him so much that we booked more tours with him the following days. The agency Emo Tours were great in accommodating all of our requests. We highly recommend it and we would do it again. The tour combines very interesting parts of the history and culture of Egypt.
Our guide Khaled was absolutely awesome. The best ture guide we had in Egypt so far. He did a very good job to share his immense knowledge of the Cairo and sutes we visited on the toure day. I highly recommend this experience with Khaled. Our driver also dod a fantastic job to navigate us through Cairos trafic.
We were picked on time from our Cairo Hotel for a wonderful end exciting day of visits to the Cairo Egyptian Museum, The Citadel, Khan el-Khalili Bazaar (where he help us haggle the Egyptian way), ending with lunch at the Cairo Tower. Our driver was accomodating and specially skillful manouvering through the complicated Cairo traffic and our guide Sayed Mahmoud took very good care of us, was very attentive, knowleageable and courteous. He had a world of explanations and stories to tell us about Egypt and its history and made our tour thoroughly enjoyable and educational. We arrived back at our hotel on time to join our tour group. All in all, it was a wonderful experience to visit the places we had read so much about !
Cannot fault our guide Abdul, he was superb. The only issue is the itinerary. Really the bazaar is about going to a tourist market, not a bazaar. Also, whilst the citadel is worth a visit. You really only see the mosque and get a view over the city, which is often covered but smog and sand dust. Also, the time you get anywhere is dictated by the traffic which can be horrendous to say the least! In hindsight I would have opted to instruct our guide to miss the bazaar and visit Coptic Cairo or something like that. That said we had an enjoyable day and again the tour operator, EMO, were great
Khalid was great! Very informative but was also able to explain things in an easy and digestible manner. He was our first tour guide in Egypt and he was one of our favourite tour guides. The bus was extremely comfortable and ready to go when we were.
I wish that there were a sixth star for rating. From the moment he picked me up, though all the sights, until the end, my guide was friendly and well-versed in the culture and history of everything we visited. He was able to answer questions that weren’t even related to the tour. I strongly recommend this, and Mohamed (I think that was his name).
Excellent day tour to the Citadel, bazaar market and museum Egypt with the most incredible guide tour guy name Issam, who was as a best friend companion, definitely I recomend to take this tour with Emmo company for a enjoyable day
Excellent time and well worth it!! We weren’t sure what to expect but it was more than we could’ve hoped for. We were picked up exactly on time by Ibrahim and Tonsi. They were extremely accommodating. We were transferring from one hotel to another and they assisted with our luggage. They took us to the local cafe for breakfast. Everything was included in the extremely affordable cost. We talked and sat with the local people. We then went to the bazaar where Tonsi ensured no one haggled us and took excellent photos for us. We dropped our luggage off to the following hotel and then continued the tour to the pyramids of Giza. On our way to the hotel Ibrahim stopped at a local farmer and bought us Fresh fruit to enjoy! Tonsi took so many great photos of us and Ibrahim was always ready the minute we were ready to move to the next activity. We went to the camel rides and the selected Guide was also great! He took great photos of us. We purchased scarfs from a local vendor and Tonsi felt the vendor overcharged us so when we completed the camel rides he had the vendor provide us with more souvenirs to accommodate for the cost. The tour continued to the Sphinx and then to lunch where we are at a local restaurant with excellent Egyptian food. Tonsi and Ibrahim ensured we were safe, comfortable, and enjoyed our day. We later went to a rooftop restaraunt for dinner and watched the pyramid light show. We enjoyed more excellent food and their company. Tonsi arranged for the dr to meet us at the restaurant to get our COVID test for travel and everything was a great experience. We 100% would recommend booking with this company and specify would request Ibrahim and Tonsi. When we return to Egypt with our children we will definitely book with them again. Our experience couldn’t have been any better and it was thanks to our guide Tonsi and driver Ibrahim! Until next time!!!
Sayed Mahmoud and Waleed did a FANTASTIC job as our tour guide and driver. You will see (and learn) so much. They will arrange absolutely everything for you and there is no stress at all. They also make sure you have plenty of food and water throughout the day and will even throw in extra activities. They recognize that how you want to spend your time is up to you and they will literally exhaust themselves in trying to make you happy. If you book with EMO tours, ensure that you're with Sayed Mahmoud (tour guide) and Waleed (driver)!
Wonderful experience! I thoroughly enjoyed the Egyptian Museum. We had a great tour guide that explained a lot of the artifacts. We loved the market place as well- Khan Khalil Bazaar…very exciting lol. The Citadel had the best view of Cairo and Giza!
We were lucky enough to have our tour guide Ahmed Elsayed for our 2nd tour in Cairo - he's the best. So knowledgeable, friendly, doesn't rush you and makes great recommendations throughout the tour, and takes wonderful photos for you. He knows all the spots and best places to take the perfect shots! We started our day at the Citadel & Mosque of Mohammed Ali (absolutely stunning), then to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities (a must) and finished at Khan Khalil Bazaar, where we were able to buy all our souvenirs and gifts.. Our driver Mustafa was great, professional driver who knows how best to get around Cairo. We can't say enough great things, we enjoyed our Cairo Day Tour and couldn't have asked for a better guide - we highly recommend Emo Tours and requesting Ahmed Elsayed as your guide, you'll have a magical experience and really get to know Cairo the city and the local people.
Ahmed Nour Eldien is an amazing guide, I highly recommend him! He has a very deep knowledge of both Ancient Egypt and Islamic Cairo, and flawless English, so is the perfect person to introduce you to Egypt!
Best way to see all of Cairo! Tonsi was the most amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgeable about all of Cairo and answered all of our questions. We felt safe the whole time! We went to the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Mosque, and the Bazaar. We got a local lunch that was amazing!! It is our second tour with Emo tours and I highly recommend them!
This tour was great. Our guide Mohamed Hamed was fantastic. Think about stretching your horizons wider too when you go. When it comes to packing a lot of activities into a day, turn to the pros. EMO Tours also did all the arrangements for a day trip from Cairo to Luxor - 45 min flight, then the Valley of the Kings, Tut's tomb etc, then a flight home. We had a guide, Mohamed Hamed on a few day tours in Cairo, he was great and let us know that a trip like Luxor in a day could also be arranged with EMO. A few minutes on his phone while we were driving home from the Citadel and he had it all arranged with the EMO office. Talk about no stress, bless him he made it so easy! And trust me, Egypt is safe these days. Go! Enjoy ! Helpful Hint, courtesy of Mohamed - bring a small penlight to Egypt Museum, some of the info cards are heard to read.
Just perfect. Guide was interesting, professional and spoke excellent English. Our day was over all too soon, but the memories will be long lasting!
Excellent tour! My guide, Nessma, was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and a pleasant person to spend the day with.
Our guide, Sayed Mahmoud filled us with as much information as we could absorb, yet in such a low-key way that we never felt overwhelmed. His sincere love for the treasures of his city is evident which inspired a greater appreciation in me. He allowed us to dictate how much time was spent at each location. We enjoyed a peaceful morning before crowds at the Citadel and as much time as we wished for in Coptic Cairo. At the Egyptian Museum, days are needed, but we only had hours so thank you Sayed for steering us to the highlights and some less popular but very significant artifacts. Abdo maneuvered through traffic and toured us through different souks and throughout Old Cairo. 8 1/2 hours and 10,000 steps, yet feeling great after a buffet at the end of the tour. Absolutely best value!
Rushed ended up only 4 1/2 hours in length. Not happy with time frame. Guide could have taken me for local non tourist shopping
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our tour of the Egyptian Museum, Citadel, and Mohamed Ali Mosque. All three venues were well worth exploring and even more interesting than anticipated. The Egyptian Museum, from Narmer’s Palette to Tutankhamun’s death mask, is packed with wondrous artifacts and particularly amazing. Emo Tours maximized our enjoyment. We were provided with a comfortable vehicle, excellent driver, and an exceptional guide. Mohamed Salah, our guide, was knowledgeable, attentive, and exceedingly personable. Mohamed always kept us feeling like we were in control of our tour and free to move at our own speed. My wife and I were so pleased with Emo Tours and our Guide Mohamed that we booked an additional, unscheduled tour when we returned to Cairo at the end of our Egyptian holiday. Emo’s custom tour, which ended when we were drop-off at the airport, didn’t disappoint, and I can strongly recommend Emo Tours to others.
Our guide Menna was extremely kind and knowledgeable and made a great tour, on of the best guides I’ve had! Mahmund was also a very friendly and responsible driver, 100% recommend them!
This was a very intetesting tour, we enjoyed it a lot, the guide had a good knowledge of the places we visited, it seemed he was a bit in a hurry, but apart from that, everything was perfect
I booked another day trip with Emo Tour. Again with Sayed Mahmoud as my guide and being driven by Mohammad. I’m glad having a guide to the Egyptian Museum as it help to navigate inside the museum and provide much info that may not be available. This tour also give me a glimpse to the old Islamic side of the city and life of the surrounding area. 👍🏻 again to Sayed and Muhammad to accommodate a solo traveler like me.
We had a great tour of Egyptian museum with our guide Ayman and driver Ahmed. Ayman did a great job informing us at the museum. he was very knowledgeable about Egyptian history. Then for a tour of the Citadel or Muhammad Ali mosque. It was first time in a mosque and it was very interesting. We were wiped from a busy week and asked to skip the market. Ahmed is another great driver, and that’s very important in Cairo. Ayman and Ahmed both spoke English very well.
Our guide, Marwan, was unbelievably knowledgable. Particularly good was the museum where Marwan knew about pretty much everything and was able to highlight the key artefacts with a full explanation of their history. The tour was well operated from start to finish and I have no criticisms. Well worthy of a 5 star review.
My wife and I went for our first trip to Egypt last month and booked three tours through Emo tours. This tour was on day one. The museum was excellent. A whole section for King Tut's treasures, including his recognizable golden death mask. The mummies rooms (there are two) cost a little extra but worth it in my opinion. Our guide, Tonsi, walked us through the museum and explained a lot of the exhibits, then gave us time to explore on our own. Next, we went to the Citadel and Mosque. Again Tonsi was very informative. I have to mention the traffic in Cairo. It's crazy. Instead of neat straight lines and traffic signals, everyone comes together like a swarm of bees on the road. Our driver Hansi navigated it perfectly. Next, we went to the bazaar. Tonsi helped us navigate, finding the things we wanted; T shirts and refrigerator magnets :), and more importantly, helped us avoid the things we weren't interested in. Last, we signed up for the optional felucca boat ride on the Nile. It was a nice, relaxing way to end the day. I highly recommend this tour and Emo Tours!
Our tour of the Egyptian Museum and the pyramids taught us a ton, and our guide was fantastic! Would highly recommend.
I had the most amazing experience with Ahmed Elsayed as my tour guide . He came to pick me up at the hotel on time .He was very knowledgeable and I learnt so much about Egypt . I was a solo traveler and he helped take pictures of me . I would recommend you request Ahmed for your tour .I had a very positive experience with definitely be back to go to Luxor and Aswan as suggested by Ahmed
Mahmoud did a fantastic job leading our group of four. He was knowledgeable and receptive to our requests. The museum, the citadel, the mosque, and market were everything that we wanted to see and experience in Cairo. The girls especially enjoyed the “no pressure” shop the Mahmoud recommended while him and I were able to discuss Cairo, its people and its customs. Egypt is safe and secure but I highly recommend arranging a tour with a company like Emo that provides a professional tour guide and driver. Lastly, be sure to tip your tour guide and driver. They might go a couple of weeks without a tour so these opportunities are important to them.
After taking a tour through Emo Tours with Mamdouh to the Giza Pyramids, Saqqara and Memphis, we decided to to book another which did not disappoint. I do want to note that Emo Tours was incredibly flexible and allowed us to add a trip to Coptic Cairo to the agenda of things we did. As was our experience with Mamdouh through our tours the previous day, he was again very knowledgeable and took extra care to make sure we saw everything we wanted to but that was also of special significance. It was a day packed with information but again, we felt as if we were with a friend who truly enjoyed what he did and got great pleasure from sharing the history of Egypt as well as its people. Wonderful tour, great tour company, truly made the difference in the time that we spent in Egypt!
Essam arrived early morning 8.00 am. We started the day with citadel.. Essam took water bottle and also snacks for me and we reached Citadel... It was huge place with Mohammed Ali mosque.. Essam showed all the points of Citadel. Essam also helped clicking my photo and they are just amazing. Next stop was Egypt museum... Essam went to buy tickets and he brought them for me. We went inside Museum and Essam start mentioning the history of stone right from the entrance.. then we went up and started exploring all rooms and areas of museum.. Museum is too big and every time I use to see something new I use to quickly ask " Essam what's this?" He patently use to answer all my curiosity question.. I have never seen a guide with such a good knowledge.. Explore mummy rooms too..😊 After approximately 2- 2.30 hrs in museum we came out and quickly he understood that I am hungry... He took me for lunch near Khan khaili Bazaar. After quick lunch I was again ready to walk.. The best thing what a girl would love is SHOPPING.. Essam help me to bargain a lot.. I had so much to buy that my 2 hands were hot enough to hold the shopping bag.. Essam helped to hold the bags and we ended the day with cold chill juice treat.. Best guide and I am lucky to have Essam as my guide.. Thanks so much Essam.
We booked with Emo tours last minute and had a fantastic time with Waleed and Olfat on an action packed day. Our 3 young kids were thoroughly enthralled by Waleed’s storytelling and knowledge through the fascinating Egyptian Museum, the Citadel and the rustic bazaar. Waleed’s eye for detail, meticulous hospitality and energy with the kids was inspiring as was his professionalism and punctuality. A memorable day ... !
A day well spent with our knowledgeable and courteous guide Adel. Definitely will recommend. Emo tours don't disappoint.
We were fortunate enough to get an awesome guide, Ahmed Elsayed, for our Cairo tour. We started out at the Citadel and made our way to Mohamed Ali Mosque. This was breathtaking. The architecture, the views and the engaging discussion made this my favorite part of the day! Ahmed made sure we had several different beverages and snacks to keep us going. We then moved to the market place. It was nice to have a bit of free time here to do some exploring on our own, but our faithful guide was right there for us when we were ready to move on. Ahmed’s enthusiasm for history truly shines as we made our way through the enormous collection of artifacts in the museum. We ended the day with a delicious late lunch. We went back to our hotel full and happy with all our experiences from the day. I highly recommend Ahmed and this tour for your next trip to Cairo. It will make you fall in love with this incredible city.
The best part of our experience was our guide. Mr. Essam - our family travels a lot an he is by far the best guide we have ever had Extremely knowledgeable of the Egipsian history and culture Took very good care of us during the trip, kind, attentive to every detail and every need, spoke with us in fluent spanish and english and above all made us feel safe and welcome. This review is beyond excellent from us thanx to Essam, our tour guide.

Loved my time in Cairo. My guides here were absolutely the best. They could not have been nicer and more accommodating. Loved it and them!
