Manar was an extremely knowledgeable guide, having studied Egyptology. She is clearly very passionate about her country’s history and culture and was able to answer all of our questions. She gave us options and her preferences to help guide our tour which was very appreciated. She is kind and friendly and open for a chat even if not about the tour itself. 10/10 would recommend her as a guide.

Day 1
1
The Giza Pyramids are the highlight of any day tour in Cairo, offering an unforgettable journey into Egypt’s ancient world. As you arrive at the Giza Plateau, the iconic silhouettes of the Great Pyramid of Khufu, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure rise dramatically from the desert, capturing the imagination as they have for millennia. Your guide leads you through their history, sharing how these colossal structures were built with astonishing precision during the Fourth Dynasty. You’ll walk around the vast base of the Great Pyramid, explore panoramic viewpoints perfect for photos, and stand face-to-face with the enigmatic Sphinx, guarding the plateau with its timeless gaze. Whether you choose to enter one of the pyramids or simply admire their grandeur from the outside, this stop immerses you in the mysteries, legends, and engineering genius of ancient Egypt—an experience that stays with every traveler long after leaving Giza.
Discover the timeless wonders of Saqqara, home to Egypt’s legendary Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the earliest colossal stone structure in human history. During this fascinating stop, your guide will lead you through the vast Saqqara necropolis, where ancient tombs, vibrant reliefs, and sacred corridors reveal stories from more than 4,600 years ago. Stand before the Step Pyramid, designed by the genius architect Imhotep, and learn how it marked the birth of pyramid construction in Egypt. As you explore the complex, you’ll uncover beautifully preserved mastabas, the Serapeum’s mysteries, and panoramic desert views that stretch toward the horizon. This visit offers an unforgettable journey into the origins of pharaonic architecture and the spiritual world of the Old Kingdom, making Saqqara one of the most enriching highlights of your day tour.
Dahshur offers a quieter, more atmospheric encounter with Egypt’s ancient wonders, making it a memorable stop on your day tour. Here, you’ll explore the remarkable Bent Pyramid, whose unusual angles reveal the early architectural experiments that eventually perfected the pyramid shape. A short distance away stands the Red Pyramid, Egypt’s first successful true pyramid and one of the best-preserved in the country—its broad base and smooth sides rising majestically from the desert. With far fewer crowds than at Giza, Dahshur lets you enjoy wide-open desert views, peaceful photo moments, and a more profound sense of Egypt’s architectural evolution. Walking around these immense structures, you’ll feel the quiet power of a landscape where ancient engineers tested ideas that shaped history. This stop provides a rare blend of discovery, serenity, and insight into the brilliance of the Old Kingdom.
Day 2
2
The Grand Egyptian Museum offers an unforgettable step on your day tour, inviting you into the heart of Egypt’s ancient world with a scale and elegance unlike anything before. As you walk through its vast, light-filled halls, you’ll be welcomed by the towering Statue of Ramses II, setting the tone for the extraordinary journey ahead. The museum brings together over 100,000 artifacts, including the full treasures of King Tutankhamun, displayed in a modern, immersive setting that allows you to appreciate every detail. Expansive galleries trace Egypt’s story from prehistory to the Greco-Roman era, blending cutting-edge design with the magic of antiquity. With panoramic views of the Giza Pyramids and thoughtfully curated exhibits, the Grand Egyptian Museum offers a rare chance to experience ancient Egypt in ways that feel both intimate and monumental, making it an essential highlight of any Cairo day tour.
Citadel of Saladin Alabaster Mosque
Khan el Khalili Bazaar is one of Cairo’s most vibrant and unforgettable stops, a place where history and daily life blend in a maze of narrow alleys filled with color, sound, and rich aromas. On your day tour, you’ll wander through centuries-old lanes lined with shops showcasing handcrafted treasures—shimmering brass lamps, intricate silver jewelry, handwoven textiles, fragrant spices, and traditional perfumes. The atmosphere is lively and warm, with friendly merchants calling out their best offers and artisans shaping their crafts before your eyes. As you explore, you’ll pass historic cafés like the famous El Fishawy, where you can rest with a cup of mint tea or Arabic coffee while watching the world drift by. Every corner of Khan el Khalili tells a story, offering an authentic glimpse into Cairo’s culture, traditions, and timeless charm. It’s a stop that immerses you fully in Egypt's spirit, leaving you with memories—and souvenirs—that last long after your visit.

An unforgettable experience! The pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum and the bazaars were incredible. Our guide, Nour, was knowledgeable and passionate about Egyptian history! He gladly answered all our questions and talked about their culture. He spoke great English. Everything was well organized, timely, and safe — highly recommend! Nour also happily offered to take photos for us at each stop, which was especially nice and much appreciated.
We would like to say a big thank you from the bottom of our hearts ❤️ Fatima you've been an excellent tour guide, an excellent photographer and always took us to the best locations. We are very grateful to have spent our first 3 days here in Egypt with you and Usama (our driver). We couldn't have asked for better company and hospitality. We learnt a lot and this is all thanks to you. Lots of love from Triana and Axel. We will miss you
The tour was very interesting. The car was very comfortable. The explanations of the pyramids, the camel ride and the market in the center of Cairo were very well guided. The food during the tours were great. Thanks Rasha.
This private tour is well worth the money! Rania was amazing and knowledgeable. She and our driver were so accommodating and patient with us (including my 70 year old mum). I would 100% recommend this to anyone who has the time to do do 2 days or tour.
My favorite part of the experience was the pyramids and the museum. If you are new to the country, a tour is the way to go at least for the first few days. If you can manage a private tour, do it. My niece and I spent two days with Karam. The first day was dedicated to visiting three Pyramid sites. Karam very informative and showed great pride in his country. We got amazing pictures and learned about the construction of the great structures. Day two was spent visiting a Mosque with a panoramic view of the city, seeing the hanging church in the coptic city, visiting a bazar and the main Egyptian museum. It was a mind-blowing amount of information and the sense of history was life-changing. Karam remained available to answer questions about Egypt after our tour ended which was invaluable. Feel free to modify the order or content of your itinerary. It may cost more but you will be happiest that way on this one in a lifetime trip. Once again, ask for Karam!
This was our first time in Cairo, and these two days were really an unforgettable experience. Our tour guide, Amina, was really the best. She took us to beautiful places from undisturbed pyramids (where we were the only tourists) to busy markets, and meanwhile she constantly provided us historical background stories, architectual facts and many other interesting stories. I also find it very important to mention: with her we always felt safe, as she has provided us some good advice on where we can shop safely, pay with euros, or where to have a good coffee. Our driver was also very helpful, he was always there to pick us up, and he also surprised us with some fresh dates on our way back to the hotel. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a profound glimpse into Cairo in just two days. They also speak fluent english, and are very flexible.
Fatma is the best tour guide I've ever encountered, professional, responsible and extremely passionate about touring. I learned so much about Egypt and the culture from her. I am so glad that I booked the trip with her. I should have book more days with her.
I did the two day tour. My guide was Fatima. I dont remember my driver's name but was fantastic. Both were very friendly. I overslept one day and they were like "no worries" and just waited for me. They even encouraged me to eat breakfast. They were very patient and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this tour.
Soo... i have been using trip advisor for a long time and have never bothered to write a review (shamefully). But my guide Sherif made my visit to Egypt so amazing i felt compelled to come and write a review. I am well traveled and after seeing a couple dozen countries and being on dozens of tours I must say this was up in my top 2 experiences EVER. Probably the best trip of my life! I did the Giza Pyramids twice. Once with this tour and our guide Sherif and once on my own. By far having our guide took away any of the hassles and inconveniences i had encountered without him. This trip in my opinion is waaay underpriced for the incredible bargain you get. I would definitely recommend this tour with Sherif. He is a legit Egyptologist with a wealth of knowledge that'll just blow your mind. Just book the tour, you won't regret it. You'll spend 5 times more money if you don't get the tour just based off of how many times you'll be ripped off for not having a guide... believe me, it happened to me.
This was exceptionally good. Great way to experience all main sights in two packed days, while being flexible with you individual needs. We traveled with 5 year old daughter and felt highly comfortable completing the whole program. The price is ridiculously low. All tickets are included as well as lunches for both days. You will spend the same just on tickets and taxis between the sites with no guide if you try to do it yourself. And the guide. If you buy this tour - ask for Fatima. She made this tour unforgettable, being absolutely passionate about her job and history of this interesting country. She was chatty, always ready to help and adapt, answered any of our questions about history, current life of the country and on recommendations where to have dinner. We visited during Ramadan, so all museums closed at 15.00, but she managed to organise everything so that we made it to all points. On top of that she was able to keep the pace of storytelling even in the middle of the heat and fasting without water (you remember we had this tour during Ramadan?). So all in all Fatima was the one, who made us enjoy Cairo and admire great history of Egypt.
We have just completed this two day tour and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. Our guide Gouda and driver were super efficient, professional and polite. He was extremely knowledgeable and made our trip special. I would highly recommend Gouda as a guide and an all round decent guy. He took some amazing photos and brought us to a shop in the bazaar for really cheap, nice souvenirs.
We have booked a two day tour run by the Tree of life Tours. We wanted to take our grandchildren to Egypt during their half term school holiday. We booked a private car with a driver and a guide for this even. Mohamet, the tour guide, did phone the day before we were due to start the tour to confirm all details including times of pick-ups and also asked if we had any special requests to be included in the itinerary. We were most fortunate to have had Mohamet as he had been most professional in his job, taking the time to explain in details all the historic places. Nothing was a problem for him, showing the highest patient with our grandchildren of 7 & 11 years of age. We were so pleased with the services and the attention we received during our two-day tour that we booked a third day for a visit to Alexandria. My wife, my grandchildren and myself would like to sincerely say a big thank you to Mohamet. Would we use the services of this company and Mohamet in particular? For sure.
We hired a local taxi and a guide, both were very polite and good. for whole day in Cairo nearly 10 hrs it costed us 3600EGP for two. Pyramids are an amazing experience, camel ride is a must
Where can I even start? Wow. Amina...is the best tour guide ever. She is truly one of a kind. She was so knowledgeable, patient, kind, and an EXCELLENT photographer! Amina went above and beyond to ensure that my mother and I had an amazing time. She answered our questions, and even had open dialogue about the theories we had concerning the ancient Egyptians. At each site she REALLY let us take our time and soak up all the wonders around us. We called her our artistic director because she knew the perfect angle, and the perfect location for us to capture our precious moments. She took too many photos to count! We were so impressed at the quality and the thought she put into it. EXTRA ACTIVITIES: Amina included a trip to the Papyrus paper making shop where they take you through the whole process and explain how it is made. They also have beautiful art on papyrus and an option that can be customized with your name in hieroglyphics as well. She also took us to a rug making factory where children were weaving rugs by hand! There were so many talented people there! At the market, she introduced us to some local cuisine and smoked sweet potatoes! It was delicious. Overall takeaway, you are doing yourself a disservice if you do not personally request Amina as your tour guide! We experienced two other guides after her and they could not even begin to fill her shoes. I would certainly recommend her to ANYONE traveling to Cairo. We had a blast, she's a treasure and we really enjoyed her company.
This is an obvious must for anyone traveling to see the pyramids. Our guide was knowledgeable and welcoming. His local advice was appreciated.
Ashraf and Emad were a great tour guide and driver. We went to see all the pyramids and Ashraf had taken us to eat local authentic Egyptian eateries for lunch. It's a good tour to visit most in Cairo if you only have a short time there. Just be prepared to pay for entry fee tickets as this is not included in the package.
We had a great time with our tour guide Ashraf and driver Emad. We spent just the right amount of time at each location and also had a great time at the bazaar!
Perfect!! The 2 days visit were very enriching. The tour included the most important places to see in Cairo, Saqqarah and Giza. Amal, the guide was very knowledgeable and provided very good insights. Would recommend the tour to anyone who wants to visit Cairo.
Great way to visit the most important parts of Great Cairo in two days. Our guide Amaal Husein was great. She spoke Spanish perfectly and the detail of information was amazing. She was funny and a great guide. I fully recommend her and this agency. Ani M
Our guide Yasser was tremendous ; we had an excellent two days with him and driver Mohamed. Yasser was knowledgeable, extremely cheerful and very good at explaining things (plus a great photographer). Day 1: We visited the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, Saqqara and Dahshur (where we had a walk down into one of the Pyramids tombs) where we had another walk this time much deeper and a lot less crowded. Day 2: A wonderful morning into the Egyptian Museum including a visit to Tutenkamun’s treasures and a fascinating visit to the Royal Mummies section. Lunch was in the local market followed by a visit to the imposing Muhammed Ali mosque and citadel high above a stunning view of Cairo.
Manar Atwa is the best guide - EVER. Very knowledgeable. Sincere. Caring. Hard working. Knows the subject matter. She has the academic depth and the heart of a teacher. Doesn’t get any better, right? Connect Pharaoh’s stories with relevant Judeo-Christian-Islamic historical events and now - you will have a great story that you can relate to the historical knowledge that you have learned throughout your lives. Ashraf runs a smooth operation. Everything was lined up correctly and timely. Ta’meer is a great driver. Careful. Proficient. Down to earth. Keep up the great work, guys. Choose Tree of Life in Cairo - you don’t have to look back or worry about anything.
We spent two days with our guide Zenab (+ chauffeur. Name escapes me but he was an excellent driver). The tour was excellent. Well organised, we saw a lot in two days. Zenab is very knowledgeable, friendly and flexible. Highly recommend it if you have little time in cairo.
We had the pleasure to tour Cairo with our lovely guide, Zenab. It was the best decision we could have made - 100% recommend! Zenab is super knowledgeable about the history of the places and monuments we visited, and always had the best suggestions for our tour. The van was very comfortable and clean, and always made us feel safe. The driver was super nice and kind as well! We were a group of 5 people, staying at the New Cairo area, and had a great time. We started the first day by visiting the pyramids and riding a camel. It was magical and a serious "life checklist" item. Having Zenab with us here was super useful to navigate better the place, as the locals can be quite pushy when trying to make some money. Afterwards, we visited an original papyrus shop where we were shown how papyrus are made according to the original method. After lunch, we visited an absolutely lovely essence and natural oils factory and shop - absolutely recommend. We then went to Saqqara and Dashur to visit the first pyramids, much less populated then Giza and just as lovely. The finished with a visit to a Carpet school, where we got to see how hand made carpets are made. On the second day, we started by visiting Cairo Museum, where Zenab guided us through the must sees. This was followed by the nicest boat tour in the Nile (optional, we chose to pay extra for it) - exactly what we needed after the warmth of the Museum. After lunch, we went to the Citadel, which was beautiful, and ended the day at the Bazaar. Concluding, it was a wonderful experience and we sincerely have to thank Zenab and our driver for taking such good care of us. If we ever come back to Egypt, we will 100% choose the same company, they were very professional even before the tour. We had such a great experience, some of our colleagues also made a reservation and toured with them the following days :)
Our tour guide Abdul was amazing today is our first day he was súper acknowledge about the history A plus knowing Spanish for my uncle and my self the food was super good. I can’t wait for tomorrow
We had our day of exploration through Cairo with Rasha. Our transportation was prompt and drove us through Cairo comfortably while being kept cool throughout the day...nice to come back to with 90F+ temps out! Rasha’s outgoing personality and fund of knowledge in Egyptian history were a perfect combination to lead us through the sites in Cairo. Tickets to each site and lunch were included in the trip. Rasha made sure we were enjoying ourselves throughout the day, including taking pictures for us, flexibility in stopping by an Egyptian cotton shop and perfumery at the end our tour. Thanks Rasha for making our time in Cairo wonderful!
Amazing tour!!! We had the pleasure of having Manar as our tour guide and Egyptologist. She made the 2 day Cairo tour itinerary magical and a birthday that I will never forget!! With this Cairo tour option, you will see and experience all that you need to see and know about Ancient Egypt and become immersed in today’s culture. I highly recommend this tour and Manar as the tour guide. You will not be disappointed! Manar can also advise on how to capture excellent photos! We can’t wait to return.
All items mentioned in the ad were covered: First day all the major pyramids and the sphinx, some wonderful ancient tombs, camel riding and some other activities. Ibrahim (and our kind driver Yaser) took us to a traditional Egyptian restaurant and suggested some nice Egyptian food; highly recommended to give it a try. We also had the chance later to try some very fresh dates obtained directly from the farmers on our way back from Sakkara. Second day we visited the breathtaking museum, visited the citadel and its mosque, the old bazar and some other activities. Ibrahim was so kind to take us to the oldest coffee house there and also to show us around where we could get some high quality traditional (fast) food. Overall, highly recommended. Ibrahim was highly knowledgeable about the history of Egypt and was ready to answer all questions. And not only that, he was also well-informed about the more recent ages and the contemporary events in Egypt, and explained everything with patience and full details. Same applies to topics related to Egyptian culture, also putting it in perspective to the neighboring countries in Africa and also middle east. We felt that we were in good hands for our two-day tour: informative, trustable, friendly, polite, respectful, flexible... we could easily befriend him if we lived in Egypt :-)
Fatma Mohammed was our tour guide and she was first in class. We felt as if we were at home from the moment we landed with Fatma. She greeted us at the airport with open arms. We spent the first day exploring the pyramids of Giza, Saqqara and Dahshur. We learned a great deal of the history about Egyptian culture, the pharaohs and rulers and everything in between. We are very detailed travelers and always challenge our guides to provide information beyond what can easily be found online and Fatma delivered beyond our expectations. She is extremely intelligent and happily went into detail in answering all of our questions. Fatma’s attention to detail was appreciated throughout the tour from how to navigate the sites, what to expect, what to avoid, where to eat lunch, etc so we never had to worry whether we were missing out on anything. There were other surprises during our first day that I will not divulge so that you can enjoy when you book your tour. Day 2 was equally as insightful and entertaining as Day 1. We spent much of the morning exploring the Museum of Egyptian Antiquities where Fatma truly shined. Through her education and continuous curiosity she was able to bring to life the museum. What was even more impressive was how Fatma was able to link much of what she had shared with us during Day 1 to Day 2. This speaks volume to the attention to detail and effort she puts into her work. Fatma kept us on our toes by asking us questions to see if we retained the information she shared with us, which was greatly appreciated. The museum was followed by a trip to one of the oil shops to learn about how the oils are produced and we got the opportunity to sample a number of oils and purchase knowing we were buying from a reputable seller. After this we went to the Citadel and the Mosque of Muhammad Ali. This area was incredible and with so much to see Fatma expertly navigated us through allowing us to spend the right amount of time at each part. After this we spent some time walking through the street markets to absorb more of the culture and experience what the daily lives of some Egyptians looks like. We also had a wonderful lunch on a boat on the Nile. Day 2 was also filled with many special touches and surprises from Fatma as well. Since we were leaving the final day and did not have a tour booked, Fatma gave us a wonderful itinerary for us to explore on our own before our flight. Her recommendations were perfect except for the fact we did not get to spend the day with her. This review would not be complete without sharing some additional words about Fatma. Fatma exemplified what it means to be a powerful, independent woman in a modern Islamic culture. Her work ethic is second to none. She travels hours each way (so that she can still be near her family) everyday to provide the tours. She does this with grace and a radiant positivity that is beyond impressive. Fatma is incredibly sharp-witted and this further complemented her light-hearted, positive nature. Fatma’s education and experience also give her a very worldly view on Egyptian culture, other cultures, Islam and pretty much any topic. We had wonderful conversations on religion, politics and other sensitive topics where Fatma was candid in sharing her views. I believe she is not only the best tour guide but combine her personality and all the other qualities she exhibits and there is no comparison. Thank you Fatma!
Manar was our tour guide for our tour and she was amazing along with our driver. On the way to our destination, we were asking about palm trees and dates and they pulled over for us to try some freshly picked ones. She told us about the history/ culture of Egypt and took us to a couple of places off of our list to experience famous products made in the area such as essential oils, glass blowing, Egyptian cotton, and papyrus paintings. They are also famous for handmade carpets in the area with lots of schools for the skill. Our first day was filled with pyramids, and honestly, I wasn’t prepared for the intensity. We climbed down the Dashira Pyramid, it was 65m down. Then we went to Samar’s Compound and climbed down another pyramid. We were physically drained, hot and sweaty! By the time we got to the Giza pyramids, we looked from the outside only and Manar captured some awesome photos. On top of being a tour guide, she is also a photographer and coached us through some really cool poses. Day two we went through the museum, which has no AC, so you want to move quickly, and we went to the Citadel where the Mohammed Ali Mosque is located. Manar was able to show us the highlights of the museum and allowed for separate time for us to explore. They will soon relocate the King Tut exhibit. Overall, this trip was amazing and I would definitely recommend Manar and spreading these sites over two days. I was sore for three days following! Jennifer
Thank you Tree of Life Tours for giving us such an excellent experience of Egypt. Ms. Shaender (hope I have pronounced correct) made our trip/plans more meaningful. She is a qualified Egyptologist and exceptionally good . And we carry with us rich cultural experience just because of her. For every chance we will have to talk about Egypt we will recommend Tree of Life Tour and Ms. Shaender to all visitors who plan to explore Cairo . Again I cannot just stop without a mention of ever smiling and helpful Ibrahim who drove us through the streets of Cairo and Giza. Thank you once again and best of luck.
We had an amazing two days in Cairo with our tour guide Ashraf and driver Salah. Ashraf spoke great English and was so friendly. Everywhere we went people were happy to see him. We felt very safe with the driver Salah and you can tell he's an expert at Cairo traffic. The highlight our first day was the camel ride over looking the pyramids. I'm glad we got to see some of the older pyramids as well. The second day highlight was the nile river cruise taking in the sunset. All the food we had there was local and amazing! I think in two days we got a great overview of Cairo. Ashraf made our tour so fun and we loved him as our guide. He answered all our questions and we never felt rushed.
This 2-day guided tour in Cairo, Giza, Saqqara, Dashur, etc.. was really amazing. The tour guide Manar Nabil (Nefertiti) was really lovely and welcoming, always giving lots of good advice / tips on the places we will be visiting as well as good information at each of the sites. She has a positive mood and fun spirit and make the trip really lovely with some good jokes at times too. We had a really good driver too, Mr Yasser. He was always on time and planned our journey on what’s best for traffic and was always very kind. He is a very professional and reliable driver. Both took great care of me on this trip, made sure I had a really good time plus took great pics too. Overall these 2 days were one of my best guided tours and will recommend it to anyone coming to the region ;-) . The Felucca ride on the Nile river is a must do too on a trip to Cairo!
The two day private tour of Cairo and Giza was fun and amazing due to Fatima our tour guide and Salaah the driver. We are a family of five and traveling with 3 kids is not always fun. However Fatma not only engaged the adults in thought full discussion and explanations of the different pyramids and history behind them but was also able to get the kids interested in the tour and was always ready to answer any question the kids had. We visited the Dahshur pyramids, Sakkara pyramids, Giza pyramids, Papyrus institutes were we were able to see how paper was made from the papyrus plant. We also went to the museum were Fatma gave us a very educative tour about kings and queens and also read for us. she also made sure we were well hydrated our safety and comfort was her priority and her recommendations for lunch, were to buy quality gifts were on point. She treated us like family. Fatma's command of the English language is excellent and she definitely has a great sense of humor. She is very knowledge and her enthusiasm is very contagious. We enjoyed our 3 day trip to Cairo and definitely looking forward to coming back for more.
The two-day private guided tour of Cairo, Giza, and Saqqara was amazing. To see these sites in person is unlike any other experience I have had on vacation. What made this tour so great was the presence of an amazing tour guide to provide the history behind each beautiful and historic site. Manar was our guide and Hani our driver. Both were very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They are people I would definitely request by name if my travels return me to Egypt. To Manar, this is not a job...it is her country's culture and history...and it is personal to her and that is what made her unique and so instrumental in the enjoyment of what we were seeing.
Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx We first arrived to the Giza Pyramids with our guide Adam and driver Sam. As one of the items on our bucket list, the splendor and magnitude of the Pyramids are something that can only be truly experienced in person. Adam provides us with an ample amount on history while also being the best photographer in which we got to hold the point on the pyramids and give a smooch to the Sphinx. Camel ride The camel ride at the Giza Pyramids were also an absolutely spectacular experience and was a once in a life time experience. Our local camel guide was very funny and took excellent photos (one in which he made it look like we were holding up a boulder.) Papyrus Gallery The local Papyrus Gallery provided a type of souvenir that our family would cherish forever. After seeing a demonstration on how the Papyrus plants transform into paper, we purchased a small painting in which we got to see a painter paint on the hieroglyphic translation of our names. Sakkara Necropolis Adam had given us an in depth guide into the history of pyramids and of the significance and precedent set by the Step Pyramid. Along with this, the local guide for the Unas Pyramid was super funny and showed us little ‘Easter eggs’ within the underground portion of the tomb that we would have never noticed without his excellent guide. Dashur Pyramids These pyramids were truly distinguished from the other ones we saw today. Though we were fully informed of the adventure we would have for descending into the Red pyramid, our group chose to take on the challenge of the descent. It was an excellent experience in which our family enjoyed doing despite the cramps we had in our legs afterwards. Afterwards, our tour guide Adam also gave us great details regarding the Bent pyramid and the history surrounding its name and shape. Lunch afterwards the excursions was one with an unobstructed direct view of the Sphinx and Giza Pyramids and delicious food.
My Fiancee and I booked our private tour with Tree of Life after spending many hours/days determining what would be best for us. We don't like feeling like tourists, and rarely would book a tour guide, but given the vast history of Cairo we wanted to make sure we could experience as much as possible in our 2 short days there. Maged Mahgoub was our tour guide for our 2 day adventure in Cairo and we couldn't have been happier! He contacted us the day before to introduce himself and ensure us that we would be picked up as planned and that everything was ready to go. Our two days included everything we had planned but additionally we were able to go to some of the local spots to talk and get to know more about Egypt. Maged was unbelievably knowledgeable and somehow always got us in the front of where we needed to be to see exactly what he was explaining or where the best spot was to get my next photograph. No matter what question we had, he always was able to explain in great detail the significance of what it was we were seeing. You could quickly see his passion for what he was explaining and showing us. It never felt like we were with a tour guide, but rather a friend. I would recommend this tour to anyone! Yes, you can find cheaper options, but I guarantee you that you will not get the same experience that we got with Maged and Tree of Life.
Everything from start to finish was taken care by the guide Rasha. Her English is fabulous and full of knowledge about Egypt and answered all my questions. She always show me the good spots for good pictures. Very friendly and made sure my visit was the best and definitely will recommended her to my family and friends.
I had the amazing Manage Area as my guide. She is so knowledgeable that she made the visit so fun and captivating. The driver (I apologize for not remembering his name) was a fantastic driver and so pleasant. Big kudos to Manage for making my trip so memorable!
Our Guides, Sabry Hashim and the driver Tamer, were excellent hosts, very attentive, punctual and collaborators. Knowing the pyramids of Giza, traveling through Dashour and Sakkara, and getting to know an Egyptian expert on the subject about its history, customs and culture was enriching. They helped us with the language and gave us advice on food and shopping places. Without his company, our trip to Cairo would not have been a success. Thank you. Totally recommended.
I had a great time on the tour. Our guide Yasser was able to shift the schedule around in order to burden us the least amount possible and to make use of the location of our hotel. I had a great time during the camel ride and the experience of going down into a pyramid. The lunch was great and so was the papyrus gallery and the essences and aroma therapy shop. We got a break before the lights show to freshen up and have dinner. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend.
Yasser (Adam) did an amazing job with the itinerary of day one. We never felt rushed, he always addressed the entire group, energetic, funny, y habla bien español. The pyramids of Giza were amazing to see up-close. The camel ride was a fun experience as we got the opportunity to take good pictures. Yasser was also good at giving us tips of what he would recommend on the side activities that were not included it in our tour. He also warned us about the aggressive vendors but that was not a surprise. Al you have to do is smile and walk by. We finished with sounds and light show that was fun experience to see at night with lighting and as a conclusion of the night from everything Yasser had explained to us. I am satisfied and happy with day one of my tour and I look forward to day 2.
Booked a two day trip with this company. Had Yasser as a tour guide, great experience! Yasser was flexible, knowledgeable, and very engaging. He had a ton of great tips and was always ready to accommodate your requests. Day 1: We started early. Saw the pyramids, went for a camel ride had lunch at a local restaurant, visited a few shops and finished with the pyramid light show. The pyramids were fantastic, our guide let us know which ones we shouldn’t miss going inside of and which we should skip. Lunch was okay, the service was great, the chicken and soup were good, but the pita breads were a little stale. I enjoyed the shop visits, another reviewer mentioned how great the demos are and I completely agree. We couldn’t resist purchasing a few oils. The pyramid light show was beautiful but a bit long, make sure to wear mosquito repellent! Overall the tour company did a great job and so did our guide. I always felt safe and taken care of. Would definitely book with them again!
We were extremely impressed by her professionalism, flexibility, knowledge, and pleasant manner. We did a two half-day private tour to Dahsur, Saqqarah, Giza and Cairo. Everything was almost perfect with no safety issues. At our request, she took us to a delicious breakfast falafel place which we would have never found ourselves. We would strongly recommend Fatma for your trip to Cairo. You will enjoy her strong sense of humor.
We spent two amazing days with Manar. She is very knowledgeable and attentive and also a great photographer! She helped us make and capture some some wonderful memories.
We have found this tour packages thru TripAdvisor. We're so fortunate to have a very nice guide in the name of Yasser. He's very informative, funny and at the same time passionate with his work that makes the tour very educational as well as interesting and so much fun. He's so patient for waiting while we take extra pictures and videos. He gives very good tips to save us a lot of money like: telling us where to buy cheaper and nicer souvenirs, advising us to avoid not too interesting tourist places, getting us combo tickets in a museum, giving us a very big discount on Nile dinner cruise, and including free camel rides for the 6 of us in this package. He was also very accommodating. It's was on the record hottest day in Egypt when we scheduled the 2 day trip. After finishing the first half of the tour in the first day we asked him to finish the pyramid tour the next day and switch to do the museum in the afternoon instead. He was also generous with free water bottles for the group. The van that we rode was brand new, very spacious, comfortable, cold AC and had a very courteous driver. But beware of the retail stores that are part of the tour like the 3 Pyramids Papyrus Institute and Rameses Perfume Palace. They give great product demonstrations that you'd be convinced to buy. We highly recommend him and this tour group. This will make your Egypt trip a very great experience and makes it an excellent family memory for a long long time.
Yasser was very flexible and accomodating from the time we booked the tour. We wanted to start early to avoid the crowd and the heat (111F). Today was the first day of our 2-day tour, and we visited giza pyramids with camel rides, papyrus gallery, local lunch, and egyptian museum. They took us to a government certified papyrus institution and we learned how to make papyrus paper. We were supposed to go to Saqqara in the afternoon but due to the heat, Yasser worked his magic and was able to switch up to the egyptian museum instead. On top of this, Yasser is very knowledgeable and so passionate about Egyptian history. Day 1 has been educational, and looking forward to our second day tomorrow.
We booked this 2 day tour and had Mohammed Gouda as our guide. He was prompt to pick us up, had great drivers both days and even bought us a take out delicious meal. We enjoyed his knowledge of the pyramids, Egyptian Museum, Coptic Cairo and Moslem temples; moreover he gave us lots of useful advice for our alone time in Egypt. We even booked a third day with him and the company to visit Alexandria. Thanks for the memories.
Thanks Rasha for the day tour out today to see pyramids :) very flexible agenda and nice driver thankyou very much
We had a great time with Mira today! She was very knowledgeable about Egypt history. We went to Giza, Saqqara, and Dahshur and were able to walk around and explore each site. We also went to lunch at a restaurant that served traditional local foods. The fact that this tour has a private guide, personalized portions of the trip, and will transport you from your hotel and to each site and then back to your hotel makes it worth every cent! Highly recommended!!!!
