He managed to navigate us around the city during low-traffic windows, meaning we never had to waste time waiting in long lines. Beyond his expertise, his kindness and flexibility were unmatched. We originally booked for a group of 5 to 6 people, but due to the price, the others backed out, leaving just two of us. He was incredibly accommodating with the changes, and never made us feel like a burden. Honestly, he is worth every single penny and definitely not expensive for the quality and amount of things we were able to fit in given such a short trip. We spent about 3-4 hours at each site- never rushed and really enjoyed getting to know Moh. If you want a stress-free, deeply informative, and personalized tour, I cannot recommend them highly enough! We are already planning our trip back to finish the rest of the sites.

Samir is THE guy no matter where you go in Egypt! He knows everyone, everything and all the hotspots. Samir picked us up at the airport in Cairo with a personalized sign, carried our luggage, got us early check in/out at the Airbnb in Giza, drove us everywhere, had recommendations for breakfasts and lunches, gave us all kinds of options for things to do and the days on which to do them. Before we arrived he quoted us prices for various tours and didn’t deviate a penny when we tallied everything up at the end. We did so many amazing tours including the Pyramids, Sphinx, Great Museum, Civilization Museum, Coptic Cairo, Nile River Dinner Cruise at The Pharaohs, Cairo Souk Market and a private sail boat cruise along the Nile. This is a must-see. It is spectacular and so amazing that anything from that time period still exists let alone be able to walk through it. Our guide Asmaa was incredibly knowledgeable and could answer even our most obtuse questions. We really enjoyed her company. She is a good soul. Our Tour guide was with Mohamed Ramadan. Our group of eight took the tour in English. Mohamed’s English is perfect and completely understandable, even for people with limited English skills. I can say that we thoroughly enjoyed the entire tour and all the explanations and stories Mohamed shared with us. During the previous five days, we had a Spanish-speaking guide, and we learned so much more in just seven hours than we did during those five days. Plus, Mohamed was super friendly and nice, and he took some really fun photos and videos of us. Highly recommended. Thank you very much for your time with us!

They helped carry her around the pyramid site so she wouldn’t miss out on seeing these incredible wonders up close. Their kindness, care, and genuine warmth meant the world to us. Such an amazing trip.for our mother's 90th birthday. Family of 6 and we couldn't have had a better team to look after us. Taking our mother on her trip of a lifetime to Cairo for her 90th birthday was daunting. I'm so pleased we had Marathon Tour team to show us around they were excellent. Mum is disabled and wheelchair bound. We were met at the airport with a sign a Happy 90th birthday sign and flowers. Day one Pyramids complex with Moh negotiating to avoid ques. John and Faruk carried mum in her wheelchair so she was able to get up close to see everything. She was so happy that day as she had waited all her life to see the sights and thought she would never see them. The team were lovely and made mum feel like a queen. Day two Grand Egypt Museum. John the designated wheelchair pusher, and Moh who was so knowledgeable that we tried to catch him out but he was simply too good for us. Moh was a super guide and made sure we saw everything we wanted to including ensuring mum had front row to everything. Day three museum Hanging Coptic Church and old Egyptian museum. Simply fabulous. Faruk driving was amazing. The team never once lost their sense of fun or patience, nothing was too much of a bother for them. They looked after us and my mum just like family. Can't wait to come back and would only use this team.

The entire team went above and beyond to help make my grandmother's 90th Birthday a once in a lifetime trip. Going to Egypt has been the top of her bucket list. We finally managed to take her and right from the airport the team were fantastic with a birthday sign and flowers. Moh, Faruk and John were incredible and even carried her in her wheelchair to touch the pyramids. They all made her, and the whole family, feel safe and looked after all week. We booked a tour for 44 of us during our wedding week and it was a dream. Pickups from three hotels were on time and easy, coordination and comms were great, and we never felt rushed. We saw the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, did a camel ride, and even went inside a pyramid. Our guide Rawy was a star—warm, funny, and brilliant with big groups. Our driver and second guide were equally lovely and patient. They also took gorgeous photos and videos (thank you!). Heads-up for future travellors: the inside of the pyramid bit is extremely narrow, steep, and extremely hot—pretty intense. If you have back issues, maybe skip it; being on the shorter side helps. We’re so grateful. This turned a pre-wedding outing into core memories for all of us. Would book again in a heartbeat. 🧡

My wife and I had a private tour with Samir, Mohammad, and absolutely loved it. Our full trip was a total of 12 days, with 8 in Cairo and 4 in a Nile River Cruise. This was a true trip of a lifetime and I could not recommend it more! From the moment of initially reaching out to Samir, the process was easy. Samir contacted my by WhatsApp and we started working on itinerary, dates, and made recommendations that were tailored to what we wanted to see. There is so much to see/do across Egypt to suit anyone’s needs. The trip itself was incredible. The logistics daily were perfect, sights were unbelievable and can’t say enough about how much the team went out of their way to make the trip great. We had an Egyptologist with us teaching us about all the treasures, answering questions and guiding us expertly, which makes a huge difference from just looking at objects into a learning experience where you can understand context, meaning and significance of items. - Pyramids were even more amazing than I imagined. They are huge, and having Mohammad with us was critical to understand when/why they were built, how they were built, and see the complex. Having a guide is also helpful as they show you the cool spots and photo opps. Mohammad was basically a world class iPhone photographer and we’ll have pictures he took hanging in our house forever now 😂 - Museum of Egyptian Civilization was recently built (~2021) and houses the royal mummies and other artifacts that highlight the development of civilization. The mummies are incredible to see and the museum itself is very nice. - Egyptian Museum (Tahir Square) is a beautiful museum from 1924 that is historically the primary museum, but is shifting a bit with the GEM opening. This is LOADED with artifacts that blow away any other archeological museum I’ve ever been to. While we were there, the Tutankhamen treasures, coffins and mask were on display and were the most amazing artifacts I’ve ever seen. They also have countless other treasures throughout Egyptian civilization. Mohammad was so helpful in explaining things big and small to help understand why they all matter. - Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) - we went twice during our trip and it was beautiful. It’s one of the largest museums in the world and is stunning. We went before the official opening (11/1/2025) so 11 of 12 galleries were open, and the Tut treasures were not yet transferred. The displays, artifacts and building itself are truly world-class. Even if you do not care about history it is a must-see Some small tips that were helpful for me: - You’ll communicate via WhatsApp or email most likely and Samir and the team are extremely fast and love their business. - In Egypt, to book hotels and arrange tourism they’ll need your passport for booking accommodations. They handled everything with care and had no issues at all. I only mention it because I was mildly nervous at first - My wife and I felt 100% safe at all times. Cairo like many cities is a bit chaotic, but I never felt like there was any danger. Laws + police are pretty tight, all over. I mention this only because so many people asked if I felt safe and the answer was absolutely yes. Also, having a guide helps with questions you may have, help with pricing of stuff, and generally makes you feel at ease. I could not recommend a trip and company more. It was incredible from beginning to end and a lot of that credit goes to Samir and his whole team. I’m looking forward to another trip in the future!
