Note: we have reached out to the tour operator who has ensured us that an internal review is underway. Let me start out with the good…the guides and transportation. Hissam, Magdi, and Ismail were great. They are knowledgeable, friendly, open to questions, and professional. All of our travel and guided tours were either just us or with a very small group which made for a very personalized feeling. The Cairo representative, Saif, was friendly and ensured everything was well-arranged at the touch points in Cairo. Transportation in all locations was well-arranged and of good quality. The drivers were friendly, professional, and safe. Now the bad…the accommodations. Both the hotel and Nile river boat fell well below the “4-star” mark. On the boat, the carpet throughout was dirty and smelled like old cigarette smoke (smoking is still allowed on the boat, both inside and out, and it is obvious). The cocktails served at the bar were terrible, so we avoided that after the first disappointments. The room was the worst. It had dirty carpet, the chair in the room had stains, the ceiling had a large hole with a wire hanging out, oak panel was twisted, and the light by the door kept falling out as the bathroom door rubbed it. The curtains looked more like old sheets than curtains with several seams coming apart. In the bathroom, the shower pan quickly filled up when showering and required the shower to be turned off three to four times during showering to prevent overfilling the pan. The caulking around the shower surround was cracked and had gaps resulting in water leaking to the floor. Overall in the room, the quality was poor with paint splatter, over painting, and painters tape left in several locations. The air conditioner worked well however, the thermostat was dangling and only added to the poor aesthetics. Additionally, the television didn’t work and there was never WiFi available anywhere on the boat as the WiFi was broadcasting, but no internet connection available. Furthermore, the pool on the upper deck was only partly filled, the tiling was damaged, and one side pool was completely empty. Having walked through several other boats as we boarded and off-boarded and observed from the top deck, I would give our boat a half star at most. Lastly, the hotel is labeled a 4-star hotel; however I have to disagree. The staff was great and the lobby was beautiful; however the room, including the bathroom is old and needs a good scrubbing (including the tile floors of the room, which left a layer of grime on my freshly showered feet). I would rate the hotel a 3-star at most. Overall, if you’re going 4-star tours and guides, this is a great booking, but if you’re looking for the 4-start accommodations to go with it, you may want to look elsewhere.

Mohamed Gamal (Jimmy) is awesome! He took care of everything and made our family trip so easy and fun! Highly recommend!!!
Our tour of Egypt, covering Cairo, Giza, Abu Simbel, and Luxor, was an absolute joy, largely thanks to the incredible guidance of Khalifa. His passion for Egypt's history and personable approach enriched every moment, making the journey an unforgettable exploration of ancient wonders. Khalifa's expertise and enthusiasm were the perfect companions, turning each site into a fascinating chapter of our adventure. Highly recommend!
What an amazing trip! I trip I'll never forget! Visiting the temples, cruising the Nile, and experiencing the culture was 10/10. Youssa, our tour guide went above and beyond to make this trip fun. He's a wealth of knowledge and shared great information with us about the sites as well as Egypt. I definitely recommend him to anyone planning a trip to Egypt. An experience I'll remember forever!
Egypt was stunning. The history contained within the sites we visited was breathtaking. And our tour guide, Youssa Ali, was phenomenal! He was very knowledgeable, and made our trip enjoyable and memorable.
This was an amazing adventure trip I got to enjoy with a group of friends. Our tourguide Youssa was extremely knowledgeable about the pyramid and took us to all the amazing sights. We visited Cairo, Esna & Luxor. While cruising the Nile river and the experience of going through the Esna Locks was a sight to see. The shopping was great and we had an excellent guide. My only concern was the train ride extremely bumpy and the sleeper cabin's needs updating.
Favorite part of the tour was visiting the pyramids, temples and cruising on the Nile river.. Our Tour company " Egypt Tour Club" along with our Tour Guide Youssa. Youssa was top class. He was very knowledgeable about the history so learned many new and interesting facts. Youssa was also very welcoming and friendly and I would recommend both Youssa and Egypt Tour Club to anyone visiting. ................................... Tour included a 10 hour overnight sleeper train from Cairo to Ashwan. I also enjoyed this experience because I prepared with Disposable bed sheets, body wipes etc. I strongly recommend you do your research to decide if you want to do this part of the tour as its not for everyone. The sleeper cabin was a tight fit but it was what I expected. Do your research!
Went with Egypt Tours Club and my guide of Youssa. It was a great experience lead by an experienced and passionate guide. As a teacher, I learned a lot from him and he made the experience worthwhile. The value of the trip and all we were able to experience in Egypt was a bang for my bucks. I would go again.
I was very appreciative of not having to organize any excursions. Having someone to translate for me. Having transportation ready and on time. Also having security for protection.
Youssa was absolutely amazing. Very knowledgeable and made my trip worth the journey. I would recommend this tour and guide to friends.
I truly enjoyed this experience in Egypt and it was all thanks to our tour guide Youssa!!!! This trip was so organized and our tours were well put together and super duper informative because Youssa is an expert in his field. The weather was perfect, the walking wasn't as bad as projected and he made it all a fun learning experience! I would not recommend anyone take that trip without this tour guide because you will definitely do yourself an injustice. Our safety was also a major priority and he made sure we were in good hands. The variety of foods, tours, fun, rest, was perfect!!!!!
Youssa was simply amazing! He was so kind and patient with such a large opinionated group. He took his time to explain any and everything. He also went above and beyond to make sure all of our needs were met. Even while planning the trip. He answered EVERYTHING promptly (even with the time difference) I will be recommending him to anyone I come in contact with who expresses their interest in visiting Egypt and all it has to offer. Youssa gets a 100000/10 in my opinion. We really can't thank you enough! YERRRRR
My experience on this trip was amazing, we had a tour guide name Yousaa that was very in tune to our needs, very understanding, he was enjoyable to be around. Yousaa was extremely great. He made our group safe to traveler throughout Egypt.
Yousaa is amazing! He was attentive, funny, patient, and kind. We traveled with a large group of 25+ (with small children) and he was able to offer an equal and unforgettable experience for each of us, everywhere we went. Yousaa truly made our experience unique and special. Until next time! *YERRRR*
Our tour guide Yousaa was excellent!!!! He had so much patience with the us ( group of 28 people). His expertise and knowledge of all the areas we visited were top notch. I recommend him to anyone planning to travel there.
My experience was awesome! Our tour guide (Yousaa) was very knowledgeable about every tour we took and I found time to ask more in depth questions about some historical aspects of temples and queens/kings. He did a great job of time management with our group of 29 people with everything we had in our package. I will recommend him to anyone who wants to have a great Egyptian tour.
Yousaa was absolutely amazing. Especially keeping up with such a large group. We enjoyed every tour and he was super informative. He shares his knowledge and also told us heartfelt stories. I wouldn’t have chose any other tour guide. Thank you for such an amazing experience Yousaa. From your New York Friends “YERRRRRRRR”
With a group of 28 people of different age groups, everyone needed to be satisfied and have something to enjoy. This was a balanced trip and we had a tour guide <Yousaa> who fit right in and allowed us to have a fun educational trip. He even put things into perspective where the kids understood things and felt involved. Everything from ATV, camel and balloon riding, visiting pyramids and temple's, private Nubian dinner, learning so much about the culture and even a bit of pool time and dancing at the hotels. I rate the experience, both learning and enjoyment to be amazing and recommend it to all, especially if you have Yousaa who was perfect.
It is a overwhelming experience filled with so much joy to do this private tour with the agency “Egypt tours club”. I highly recommend this agency as they made us very comfortable & safe! From hotel, sightseeing, food & excitement. Our tour guide “Hussein Elgabry” is so much fun!! Very knowledgeable about everything & he explained every details of the tour. He is such a jolly, humble, kind and generous person. Our driver, Essam is such an awesome driver, very alert & careful. He made our rides very comfortable! He is also kind and loving! Celebrating my 50th birthday with this tour is truly a very memorable experience here in Egypt 🇪🇬 Thank you Hussein & Essam & the agency! We truly appreciate you all soooo much!! We truly love you guys!!!❤️ May & John Williams
