Alexandria Full Private Day Tour

My wife and I booked two private tours with Cairo Top Tours during our trip to Egypt, and we were very happy with the experience. We did a full-day Alexandria tour, including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, Pompey’s Pillar, and the Citadel of Qaitbay. We also did a guided visit to the Grand Egyptian Museum. Everything was well organized. Communication was clear, the drivers were reliable, and both days ran smoothly. Our guide, Michael, was excellent. He explained the history clearly, answered our questions, adjusted the pace well, and made both tours feel personal rather than scripted. We also enjoyed learning some Arabic words and phrases with him during the trip. The private tour format was the right choice for us. It gave us flexibility, comfort, and a much better understanding of what we were seeing. We booked a customized Suez Canal tour and were assigned a wonderful Egyptologist guide, Isaac, together with a very kind and friendly driver, Belal. Both of them made the whole trip comfortable, smooth, and enjoyable from start to finish. They were very accommodating. They brought us to several great spots to view the Suez Canal and watch the ships passing through. We first visited an area near the southern end of the canal, then had a delicious seafood lunch while enjoying the view of ships travelling to the Red Sea. We were also lucky to see both military vessels and huge commercial container ships passing by. After that, we drove up to Port Said and took the ferry across to Port Fouad and back again — crossing between Africa and Asia in just a few minutes felt surreal! Mr. Isaac also kindly took us on a short walk around the Port Fouad area, where we enjoyed some ice cream as the sun setting before making our way back to Cairo. A special shoutout to Mr. Isaac who is incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate on introducing Egypt. Throughout the tour, he shared so many interesting stories and explanations, from ancient Egyptian history to modern Egyptian culture, language, and daily life. It felt less like a standard tour and more like spending the day learning from someone who truly loves what he does. It was such a fun, relaxing, and enriching experience overall. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an insightful day trip beyond the usual tour!

Very good day trip.we used a local guide for duration of trip, well worth it , v professional and knowledgeable, made a huge difference. Lunched at a splendid seafood restaurant with was superb. Highly recommend this company and would definitely use again

We had a super tour with guide Moataz, Ibrahim and Mika. Seen the pyramids, camel riding, atv tour in Sahara, churches and mosques. We slept at a perfect hotel with super good breakfast, and many more nice things. The guides were super nice and helped us good. I will recomment it to everyone for young and older people.

I recently gratified the honor of having a memorable tour in Alexandria, Egypt, with the Cairo Top Tours and I cannot recommend them highly, as they were very splendid. The kindness of Ahmed Shaoki and Moataz Mohammad was outstanding since the day I made a reservation. They did extra effort to make my journey as comfortable and unforgettable as possible. This tour was specially organized with a comfortable sedan car that has air conditioning which made it easy to visit attractions of the city that are very famous. They showed me some of the most distinctive sites such as Bibliotheca Alexandrina, Citadel of Qaitbay and the magnificent Alexandria Corniche whilst revealing the most intriguing speeches concerning the history of every place. The tour leader Moataz and driver Ahmed were always concern about my safty and sequirity. They were experienced and, at the same time, extremely friendly and helpful. This beautiful Mediterranean view, coupled with the fact that I was able to taste fresh seafood can only be referred to as the best part of the day, as we had a wonderful lunch at the Fish Market. The entire process was smooth and I did feel adventurous . The fact that everything was taken into account, and that travel was comfortable contributed to the fact that it has become one of the best tours of my life. While in Egypt, Cairo Top Tours organized for us two great tours: The day visit to Alexandria and a visit to the Nile's Delta. We did both tours with a private car and also private guide, it was really worth the experience and the learnings. Customer service from Bishoy Habib was great, he did periodically checks by WhatsApp during the tours to make sure everything was going according to plan. At the end of our visit, the same company arranged the transfer from the hotel to Cairo's Airport. I recommend Cairo Top Tours for your tours in Egypt.

We enjoyed our tour with Manal Atef giving us lots of information to go along with the places we visited. She was easy to understand and even would adjust the itinerary to suit our needs. She took us to a wonderful restaurant serving fresh fish with a beautiful view of the Mediterranean!

Had one extra day before boarding my flight back home in the night and so did this amazing one day private type to Alexandria from Cairo. Everything was so well arranged and my guide Eriny knew Alexandria so well and answered my many questions. We did tour by Mohamed he was very polite , Humble and has good knowledge of the route , Mohamed helped us with good Vegan food and also saw we reach at Airport on time

Our guide Iam manal was fantastic and knowledgeable. Our lunch was delicious and we had adequate time at each place. Our driver was also great and provided us water and snacks on our way from Cairo to Alexandria. Highly recommend going with this company! What an unforgettable experience. We were supposed to leave from the cruise ship at 6am for a full day of site seeing, a camel ride and a Nile river cruise. However, Alexandria had terrible fog that morning < 100 meter visibility so the Egyptian officials would not let us leave- for our safety. The fog didn’t burn off until 10am. Osama and the driver, Gouda waited for us that whole time. We got in the van and off we went to Cairo so we could still make a go of it with the time we had left. Once in Cairo, we met our tour guide, Ibrahim. Due to the right timeframe, Ibrahim and Osama tweaked our tour so we could make our top priorities happen: ride camels at the pyramids , get amazing photos and take a Nile River cruise. We had to rush, but they made it happen for us. Ibrahim was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable- we learned a lot! Then our new driver, Abdullah sped in a smaller car (quicker) to get us back to the ship in time. It was amazing and we are soooo grateful to all of these gentlemen for their help. What a wonderful day - one for the books! Thank you!!!!!!

Our guide and driver were both amazing. Our guide was so knowledgeable about everything we saw and knew the best place to take pictures. We had a wonderful lunch at a local seafood restaurant. We would highly recommend this tour company.

We did a tour to the most beautiful city on the mediterranean sea Alexandria, it was very fabulous, we have saw a lot of places such as citadel Qaitbay, Pompey Pillar and Alexandria library. The company arranged everything well, the team was very polite and helpful.

I would rate our driver as 5/5 but our tour guide Mahmoud 1.5/5. He was not in the best of shape to be taking a group up and down stairs, gave very little insight on things and definitely tried to scam us. Our tour included the Citadel and he tried to steer us into only viewing the outside because there is “nothing inside” yet we paid for this tour and it included viewing the citadel. So did he plan to pocket that money, who knows but it felt that way. He didn’t give much time for photos so we had to push back. Never bought us water like the tour description said was included until we asked. Didn’t offer a bathroom break on the way home. Overall worst your experience we have had to date in Egypt. After our tour guide got out of the van early the final 30 minutes of the ride with our driver was the best part.

Fantastic tour. It’s a three hour drive from Cairo our driver Osama handled it with ease. Ahmed was our guide perfect English super nice and a has a wealth of knowledge to share. Catacombs were awesome, Pompeiis Pillar was enlightening, the Citadels history amazing and beautiful views. Lunch was fantastic! The library is very modern, neat to see but not our favourite part of the tour. Side note: if you order fish for lunch instead of the chicken be prepared it is an entire cooked fish- scales, head, fins, bones. Still very yummy 😊 Thank you Cairo Top Tours for the fantastic day!! Special thanks to Moataz for making sure we met our driver safely on our first day and for personally dropping us off at the airport to say farewell and make sure we were comfortable in knowing the terminal and what procedures to fallow for our next adventure in Aswan ❤️💋

All activities were as per schedule. Guide was available for Alexandria sightseeing and a wonderful sea food lunch was served on sea beach hotel. Pick up and drop were on time in acomfortable car. Thanks to Cairo top Tors for arranging it.

My wife and I had a wondeful private tour of Alexandria on March 15, 2023. The tour guide Ghada Fadly is very knowledge and nicely showing us all the sites in the city. This was an amazing tour! Our guide Ahmed El Swedy was very knowledgeable and very accommodating for our groups special mobility needs. I would definitely recommend this tour. I reached Alexandria on board the Ezmeralda and we were met and assisted inside the port by Hussein who took us to visit the roman theatre and the catacombs as well as the library and the citadel after this great time we were taken back to the ship just on time thanks to everyone who made this trip for us

I went to Alexandria for a day trip with this company and the drive was so long but we enjoyed it a lot don't miss alexandria the highlight is the library

I took my boyfriend to Alexandria for one day during our holiday in Egypt it was a good experience the seafood was nice and fresh in very classi restaurant but we would have loved to spend the night there may be next time because we must come back to Egypt to spend some time at the red sea too

Brothers Abdul Salam and Jamal took excellent care of me and my family. In particular they took great care in helping my elderly, disabled mother by parking the van as close as possible to the places of interest. Would highly recommend.

Our trip to Alexandria from Cairo was packed with things to see all day. Our tour guide, Ahmed, was VERY knowledgable about Egypt’s history and timeline. My favorite part of the trip was lunch at The Fish Market. The restaurant sits on the Mediterranean with beautiful views! Fresh hot Egyptian bread comes out of a brick oven and delivered to your table hot with a plethora of dipping sauces. Our sea bass was fluffy and lightly tempura fried. Delish! Ahmed called in our order ahead of time, so we had all of our food within 5-7 mins of arriving. Very efficient! Only critique is that this trip spends a lot of time in the car between the three hours to Alexandria and three hours back in addition to sitting in chaotic traffic trying to maneuver from site to site. Just be prepared! And bring snacks.

We took a private tour from Cairo to Catacombs, Pompei’s pillar, the new Library of Alexandria and the citadel of Qaitbay. After that, we had lunch in a wonderful restaurant in front of the seaside. The trip was awesome and i recomend you too. Mohammed is a very nice guy! Thank you Mohammed!

We chose this agency to do a day trip to Alexandria, Egypt, we were a group of cruisers and I must say we were really good. The guide was fantastic, spoke very well the Italian language and even a little Sicilian dialect. In the group we were present some Sicilians and then he called us "Gruppo Ciuri Ciuri" singing us also a piece of song. Really too nice and super helpful. He accompanied us throughout the day, together with another guy, always with a smile and kindness.
