8 Day Cairo Pyramids And Nile Cruise And Alexandria All Inclusive Private Tour

My wife and I went on a 1 week package tour in October 2026 which included airport pickup and dropoff, all transfers, accomodation for 3 nights in hotels, domestic flights from Cairo to Aswan and from Luxor to Cairo and a 3 night Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor booked via touradviser (provided by Book to Egypt/ Book & go Egypt). Tickets to the monuments were not included in the base price. We had booked at short notice due to personal scheduling issues. We applied for and received e-visa via visa2egypt dot gov dot eg within a few days. We had communciated with the tour organiser, Mr Ali, prior to leaving our home country and had given him our flight number and expected time of arrival. We were promptly met inside the airport at the baggage pickup by a representative of the tour agency who was waiting with a name board. He was very helpful in translating for us and helped us to get a vodafone SIM from the airport. We converted USD at the airport for EGP at the currency exchange counter by the National Bank of Egypt, which provided the best exchange rate compare to withdrawing from ATMs in Cairo. The representative handed us off to the driver, Mr Ayman, an excellent and cheerful driver. We were met at the Pyramid Parks resort by Mr Ali, the tour organiser who explained the tour itinerary again. We had opted out of the Abu Simbel visit and the hot air balloon flight at Aswan as we did not want to pack too much into the time we had. Mr Ali wanted an upfront payment of 5 USD per day per person for tipping the drivers, cruise ship crew etc involved in the tour and 200 USD (100 USP per person) for buying the tickets - total of 270 USD. The next day started with the tour of the pyramids and a visit to the GEM museum. Our guide Mrs Hanaan was excellent. The pyramids were stunning and the GEM museum was equally impressive. The papyrus museum visit was interesting, but its mainly for tourists and was overpriced compared to the shop at Egyptian museum in Cairo. The next day we were dropped off at the airport early in the morning for the flight to Aswan. Mr Ali reminded us to collect boxed breakfasts from the check in counter which we had after the security check in the airport. We were met at the Aswan airport by our guide and driver, who took us to Aswan high dam. The next stop was Philae temple which is reached by a 5 minute motorboat journey included in the tour package. After spending a couple of hours at Philae we opted to skip the Oil shop and check in to the cruise. The cruise on 'The Queen Isis' was a memorable one with good clean room and bathroom, buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with a good variety of dishes, lounging around on deck interspersed with visits to Kom Ombo temple. Edfu Temple and seeing the Esna lock in action. Tour guides would pick us up at the shore visit sites and drop us back at the boat. Water is payable in the boat, being charged 40 EGP for a half litre bottle and 80 EGP for a one and a half liter bottle. The tour inclusions guaranteed provision of water for all days, so we had to contact Mr Ali who arranged to provide us with water through one of the guides at the shore visits. Special mention to the excellent guides at Kom Ombo, Mrs Amaani and at Edfu, Mr Ayman. Mr Ayman has perfected his spiel and had me grinning throughout the visit. We had a day at Luxor to see the Valley of Kings,the Hatshepsut temple and Luxor Temple. We paid extra for a car and driver to see the Karnak Temple and Mummification Museum on our own. We returned to Cairo by flight and checked into our hotel for the final night provided as part of the package. We spent two more days exploring the city outside the tour package including trips to Sakkara, Dahshur, Khan al khalil market, Coptic cairo, Civilization museum, National Museum in cairo at Tahreer square and a great Tannoura performance at Wekalet El Ghoury Arts Center in Cairo. We used a mix of uber and metro for most of these trips. Metro is simple and inexpensive with tickets costing 10 EGP for most shorter trips. Monuments and museums, tickets can be booked on the website and shown on the mobile at entry. These were all great experiences and rounded up the whole trip in my opinion. Though we had apprehensions prior to our visit, Egypt truly lived up to our expectations. Common sense and basic precautions are necessary, but the trip is definitely worth making for the incredible history and monuments of a great civilization.

We travel a lot, but we have rarely experienced such outstanding guidance and organization as with Ali Elsamman and his excellent team. From the very first moment until our departure, everything was perfectly arranged. Airport transfers and the accommodation on both the first and last days were handled with utmost professionalism and reliability, allowing us to feel at ease right from the start. Our explorations began in Giza and Cairo, including the pyramids and the Grand Egyptian Museum, followed by a fascinating day in Alexandria, where we visited the catacombs and the famous Bibliotheca Alexandrina. These experiences were elevated tremendously by our guide Merna Ahmad, an academic Egyptologist with remarkable depth of knowledge and a rare talent for making Egypt’s rich history accessible, vivid, and engaging. Onn day 4, an early morning flight brought us to Aswan, where we were warmly welcomed by Ahmed Ashraf. Like Merna, he combines deep expertise with an exceptional ability to communicate and inspire. Under his guidance, we visited the beautiful Philae Temple and enjoyed a memorable evening in a Nubian village. A true highlight was the excursion on day 5 to Abu Simbel. Although it involves a long journey of about 300 km, it is absolutely worth every moment. The following days on a Nile cruise were simply unforgettable. Visiting Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple, and finally Luxor with the Valley of the Kings was an extraordinary experience, made even more special by Ahmed’s outstanding guidance. A perfectly organized, highly enriching, and truly memorable experience. We can warmly recommend this team to anyone visiting Egypt.

we had an excellent time in Egypt, from Aswan to Alexandria as couple, Mr.Ali can organized everything and he’s very active, always quick response when you need help. We did more destinations and activities than our itinerary (additional fees). All the guides and drivers are very very good and knowledgable about history and civilization. Especially, in Aswan, the guide ‘Emad’ is the best. he’s very kind person and always be with you when in troubles. hands down to him. So, i give 5 stars here, this is one of the most memorable trip and i’d recommend to book this.

Very nice trip. Mesmerising….Mr Aly is really very helpful and genuine person…never felt alone in Egypt as he was just a call away and that too at any odd times…loved every bit of it…

We chose this experience carefully, as we didn't want too many activities in one day, to keep it enjoyable and manageable. Prior to the trip Ali was responsive and answered all questions. When we arrived we had Ehab waiting for us, at the airport which was great and the driver took us to our first hotel which was the Fairmont - excellent. Overall we enjoyed this private tour but there could be some improvements. I would say we did 75% of what was outlined in the tour. This was largely due to poor planning and communication from Book and go Egypt tours. The first day the itinerary was amended and we did not end up going to Khan Al Khalili market - there was no discussion about why this was changed. The next day we were to fly to Aswan to visit High Dam, Philae Temple and board the Nile Cruise. The flight was booked at 12 noon and was delayed an hour and we did not arrive to Aswan until 3.30pm which left little time to see anything. As a result we did not get to see the High Dam and the Philae temple was a rush ie done within 45 mins. The flight should have been booked for the morning to be able to complete the activities scheduled for the day. We encountered a similar issue with flights on our return to Cairo after the Nile cruise. Whilst all activities finished at 12 noon, we had to wait all day for our flight which was scheduled at 9pm and was delayed by a further 30 minutes. This meant we didn't get to the hotel until about midnight and we had another early start the next morning. Meanwhile most of the afternoon was wasted waiting around on the cruise ship without a room. If you are booking this tour, please ensure you confirm your flight times with Ali prior to commencing as Ali does leave things to the last minute. There are many early starts, particularly if you are doing Abu Simbel and the Balloon ride and also late evenings which meant you got little rest between activities. On reflection I would split the tour up in to small sections with a few days for self touring and relaxation in between. There is a lot to see in Egypt, and the organised tour is great, but you have no time to yourself.

We were surprised from the moment we saw the representative upon arrival at the airport holding a sign with our names waiting for us to help us to go though immigrations and customs. It was a well organized trip which is tailored according to our convenience and comfort. The trip exceeded our expectations..We started out our trip by visiting the pyramids in cairo then travelled through the Nile Cruze in Le Fayan cruise. During our Nile cruise we visited multiple locations like Philae temple, Valley of the Kings, etc. In the end we went to Alexandria. We also choose to take hot air balloon and abu simbel which was an optional trip. The entire trip was very well organized.The guides very super professional and very well informed. This is the best trip we have ever had.

Smooth journey, but the airport facility and service is not at all good. The hotel service needs to be more polite and patient with foreign people but our agent was very good and polite. Extremely helpful.
