Novotel Cairo Airport

The hotel was a very disappointing experience. Walking through the property felt more like walking through a prison ward than a hotel. The rooms were more like caravans or temporary cabins rather than proper hotel rooms. The AC is poor cooli The reception was also poorly managed, with only one staff member handling guest check-ins. This created severe congestion and resulted in significant delays in completing the check-in procedures. The air conditioning was very poor and ineffective, which made the room uncomfortable. In addition, the noise level was extremely high, making it almost impossible to sleep. I could clearly hear banging, cleaning activities, and other noises coming from the adjacent room, as well as the noise of housekeeping staff and every movement and conversation in the corridor. I was staying in Room 162, and the lack of sound insulation was extremely disappointing. Overall, this was a very unpleasant experience, and the hotel needs significant improvement in terms of room quality, air conditioning, noise insulation, and guest service. Overall, it was a very poor and unpleasant experience, and I would not recommend this hotel.

Overall, this is a nice hotel and very close to the airport, particularly good if you are in transit. The shuttle service is effective and runs every 30 minutes. The property is nice and the room was modern and comfortable (with the small TV being the only disappointment). I was upgraded due to my status and the suite was a wonderful option. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the bathroom was spacious. I had lunch at the restaurant and the buffet was mediocre but cheap -- that is, convenient but do not expect much. The thing that was off-putting about this hotel is that every male staff member (with the exception of the kind restaurant manager and the nice security staff in the 1am shift) seemed to be rough around the edges. The restaurant has a doppelganger for a young Steve Buscemi in "Reservoir Dogs" who was visibly and audibly aggressive when I tried to use my phone to pay for my bill because he had to change the credit card machine. On the other hand, the female staff members were always kind and polite, demonstrating a lot of emotional intelligence. So, I am not sure if I would come back here or recommend this hotel but it seems to be something easy to address (or maybe I just picked an unusual day and I will find myself in the future as an extra for a John Wick-like movie).

For a one night stay as a solo traveller, the Novotel was very convenient. The regular half hourly free transfer to the airport was great. Allow 15min for the journey, not 5 as the receptionist told me. My room was comfortable though I could hear my neighbour's conversation at 6am through the (locked) interconnecting door in my room. On arrival, the receptionist was rather offhand & not very welcoming - this is my only negative.

The location is perfect for travelers, especially with the convenient airport access, and the overall atmosphere made my stay relaxing and stress-free. The rooms were clean, cozy, and exactly what I needed after traveling. The staff were kind, professional, and always ready to help with a warm smile. A very special thank you to Khalid, the manager of the Italian restaurant, for his incredible hospitality and attention to detail. He truly goes above and beyond to make guests feel valued and taken care of. The food was delicious, and the service reflected genuine care. Also, a big thank you to Masri and Mohammed the shisha attendants, who made the evening extra enjoyable. Their service was attentive and friendly, creating such a relaxing vibe😌🙏🏻 Overall, it was a beautiful experience, and I’m truly grateful for the warm Egyptian hospitality. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, great service, and a pleasant stay near the airport. Can’t wait to be back again 🤍✨
