I saw this hotel in booking with very good reviews... But unfortunately they are fake!!! For example, my review there: admin with name Abdelrahman came to my room before check out and asked to see my confirmation. So he wrote a good fake review from my name from my phone!!! And now let's see the reality. Room was dirty. Black hair everywhere (even in fridge). Bathroom with small bugs. Bed cover with marks from cigarettes. TV didn't work. But behavior of staff it's the biggest issue.

It shows 4 Star on Google, although it should be rated as -4 Star as per Hotel Standards. Rooms are pathetic, Staff is good though.
We reserved a room via Agoda in this hotel (City Palace Hotel). When we arrived here, they told us that the hotel is overbooked and that they would transfer us to another hotel named „Tahrir View Hotel“ (owned by the same owner) just a few minutes walk away from this hotel. It turns out that they own four or five hotels in this area and, as far as I can tell from reading other reviews about this hotel, they seem to do this transfer thing on a regular basis. It is not that we would not have been willing to transfer to the other hotel, but it was the overall attitude and kind of communication that was infuriating and upsetting. First of all, since we were not able to stay at the hotel we booked, we asked for some kind of compensation. When I asked them to lower the price, they answered that we would have to cancel the original reservation and make a new one (at the new hotel) in order to get a discount. Then when I tried to cancel the original reservation, obviously it was too late, as Agoda, or really any booking service for that matter, reasonably charges 50% of the price as a cancellation fee, when trying to cancel on the day of arrival. Accordingly, we were not able to cancel the reservation ourselves. The owner, who then was called and came to „help“ us, offered he contact someone to cancel the reservation with no fee. At that point, they have told us so many contradicting things that we could not believe that he would actually be able to cancel the reservation for free and so we tried further to get a discount on the original price, as that was the only appropriate compensation imaginable and realistic. However, the owner did not seem to be listening at all. He told us the same things over and over again, sometimes even contradicting himself, and foremost, he did not in the slightest appear to be sorry or even just apologize to us for the inconveniences. Again, this would not have been a big problem if they were actually offering to help us and be truly sorry about the overbooking. Clearly the overbooking is their fault. They do this on purpose and do not care about their guests. They even seemed to be enjoying themselves arguing with us, making stupid jokes from time to time. To tell the end of the story, we took the offer and stayed at the new hotel (for the same price!!) because it was already past 10 p.m. and we were tired, both of walking and arguing. If you just want a cheap place to stay without caring much about the people there or the hospitality they bring towards you, I can recommend this hotel. However, if you expect the slightest bit of kindness (and not just the shallow one they show on the outside), then I would recommend not staying at any of the hotels owned by this owner, meaning the City Palace Hotel, the Tahrir View Hotel and Panorama New City Hotel (these are the hotels I know they own for sure).
Very quality .. Too rude stuff What makes your housing disaster ! The stuff don't try to solve any problem The entrance is terrible .
The location is at the center of downtown. The pictures shown are different as real. Breakfast starts late with low quality. Shower water is not warm enough. Homeless cats are at the corner of stairways. Not even a 3 star hotel.
