Great day out, just be aware the island is made up of dead coral and can be rough on the feet. The food was pretty good(cold), I recommend the guided walk which I thought was cool. There’s drop toilets located on the island.

Itinerary
Situated nine miles (15 kilometers) north-east of Port Douglas, Low Isles is a coral cay surrounded by 55 acres of reef. The sandy beach and clear, calm lagoon waters are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Low Isles is well-known for its population of green turtles, keep an eye on the surface as they regularly pop up for air. Occasionally dugongs can be seen grazing on sea grass and large rays may glide by. During the cruise, a Marine Biologist will conduct an informative talk on the fish and corals and provide details on the activities available throughout the day. The 30-meter luxury sailing catamaran offers the excitement of big ship sailing combined with the ultimate in comfort. Relax in the luxurious air-conditioned lounge with fully licensed bar, or soak up the sun under the sails on the expansive deck. On arrival a shuttle will take you from the boat to the island, or you can dive straight in and swim to the beach! Join an organized snorkel tour led by a marine biologist, or take to the water independently and explore at your leisure. Snorkeling equipment is provided and the friendly crew are on hand to assist. You don't have to get wet to enjoy a day at Low Isles. You can join a glass bottom boat tour over the soft coral gardens that surround Low Isles. Your guide will point out giant clams, a variety of fish and corals, and of course be on the lookout for turtles. On land you may like to join a guided beach walk around the small island. Learn about the flora and fauna of the island along with the history of Low Isles as an important place of marine research. We recommend you book this reef trip on your first full available day. You then have the opportunity to be flexible and change your travel date if you wish. Your booking can be changed at no additional cost directly with the operator once you are in Cairns. Wonderful to sail on the Wavedancer and see the turtles and fish on the Low Isles. The safety and facilities were excellent, and staff took great care of us.
This trip on a cat was excellent from start to finish, morning coffee and biscuits, an excellent buffet lunch, cheese and biscuits and bubbles on the return journey. All the staff were friendly and helpful and knew their stuff. Lovely bit of acoustic guitar and singing on the return journey. We were lucky with calm still weather and visibility was perfect for the snorkelling, it was an experience not to be forgotten!
What an absolutely amazing experience, Haley the on board Marine Biologist was very knowledgeable about the sea life and habits thank you for your help in identifying all the marine life seen while snorkeling. The whole team from the life guards Shay and Johan were extremely helpful and so very nice to the on board crew making sure everyone was well fed to Owen the Cheif Bosun tha k you all for an amazing experience.
Great trip on lovely cat so much nicer than the big boats to outer reef! Shame about the jellyfish problem for snorkelling but stinger suits supplied to make this possible! Great crew nice lunch good value!
Fantastic crew and a wonderful location with clear water and lots of marine life. Lunch was great too!

Lovely beach to snorkel from
Excellent buffet lunch
Only drawback was crew were not as approachable or as friendly as on other trips. Nonetheless a great day.

The perfect way to get out to the Reef!!! It was much less crowded where we were than where the fast boats all go -- allowed for better viewing and a more relaxing day!

Fantastic snorkeling right off the beach, great glass-bottom boat tour and hiking. Fantastic lunch, too. Worth a second trip. We even saw a shark!

Absolutely perfect day! I was definitely out of my comfort zone, but the folks on this tour made me feel at ease. Nice facilities on the boat and a great staff.

A very pleasant day spent aboard a well appointed, beautiful boat. The glass bottomed boat tour was excellent - Troy was very knowledgeable and we say turtles and giant clams in addition to the corals. The Low Isles are just beautiful and it was a fantastic experience!

Excellent. The Low Isles has the best coral garden I have seen anywhere in the world and you walk to it direct from the beach. A great ride out on the boat with the sails up.

Great and very knowledgeable staff; friendly and helpful. The glass bottom viewing boat was rather disappointing because we were expecting it ot be thw one, or similar, as shown in the advert photos and was the reason we selected this specific tour. Dispite that, it was a nice day!

This was an excellent tour, much better than the Outer Reef tour that I had done a few days before.
It helped that it was a beautiful day and that there weren't many of us on it.
John, the marine biologist, was very helpful with his instruction .
Snorkeling over the reef was absolutely amazing, I couldn't believe the beautiful live
coral I saw as well as many angel and clown fish and others.
The glass bottom boat and the island tour were great.
This tour was the highlight of my visit in Australia.

lovely trip out, good crew, lots of drinks available. snorkelling was bit disorganised, but ok.
coral in shallow parts was rather sun bleach, and not too many fish. saw few green back turtles.
lunch well organised and trip back was beautiful. all in all money well spent

The entire experience was perfect. Safe comfortable transportation and thorough training was given before entering the water. Good lunch selection and the knowledge of all staff was beyond expectation. Anti-stinger suits were available at an extra cost. I would recommend this trip to anyone.

Excellent everything it was advertised to be we really enjoyed it and would book again

We had a great time. This tour had a little bit of something for everyone. Just remember to bring your sunscreen!

I enjoyed myself on this trip but Cairns has a million tours and tour companies and enjoyed myself more on a non viator tour.

Fantastic - top of the range transport and facilities A magical day out
Would thorougly recommend
Excellent value

Great day on a beautiful boat. The crew was curtious and helpful and worked to make everyone comfortable with the snorkeling equipment. The weather cooperated and the water was crystal clear. It was a memorable event.

A wonderful day out. Our original trip to the Lower Isles was cancelled so we gladly accepted an upgrade to the Outer Isles , Agincourt.I t was a bumpy ride on a fast well equipped catamaran. the staff were very helpful, anticipated all possible eventuality, Gave out anti sea sick tablets (ginger based) It was much calmer on the pontoon.Snorkling , diving, underwater viewing, a submarine in which to view the wonderful coral and fish of the Reef. A lovely lunch was served. This was a great day out for all ages. A special thanks to all the professional, experienced and most cheerful staff on board. Highly recommended.

The staff were so helpful, provided us with a great experience in the water and on the island

We traveled on a bad day. The weather was awful, but the boat and personnel were good. Perhaps next time, a different time of the year and a trip to the outer reef.
A really great tour. The staff were very friendly and we had a wonderful time snorkelling. Definitely worth the money.
This was OK, the snorkeling was not that great and the food was not that great either, especially if you are vegetarian. But a great way to get out onto the Reef. However, I went to Fiji to snorkel after this trip and saw way better stuff out there than here.
An excellent day and good value for money. The trip was very well run and the staff members were very friendly and helpful.
L'incontro con un piccolo squalo e un ragno nero molto grande aggrappato alla tuta da snorkel che mi ha accompagnato nella nuotata in mare
