Enjoyed the day. Carsten was an excellent guide.
Had a great day with our guide Mario. He was knowlegable and informative throughout, taking every effort to ensure we all had a good time. His instructions for different drops and collections during the day were clear and concise to ensure the day went smoothly. The food stops included morning tea, a full lunch, and a visit to a fruit farm for quality ice cream! Mario kept us informed during the journey pointing out landmarks, plant species, and local and geological history. All in all an easy and enjoyable day leaving us all well educated on the oldest rainforest in the world.
The trip was thoroughly enjoyable although it was a very long day. We covered a lot of ground and our guide was exceptional. He gave a funny, informative and engaging commentary throughout the trip. For us personally it was a whistle-stop tour and did a bit of everything but I think we’d have preferred to spend longer in fewer sites.
This one day trip was absolutely wonderful. What made it extra special was our guide Steve, who not only has a huge amount of knowledge, but is tireless, engaging and has a great sense of humour. We covered a huge amount of ground and saw many amazing sights, all peppered with Steve’s entertaining and informative commentary, and came back tired but happy! The fact that the tour is done as a small group really adds to the experience.
Excellent day out Great way to get an experience of the beaches and rainforest Our guide Ron was highly knowledgeable and informative
Fantastic experience, our guide had great knowledge and provided facts, insights and jokes that kept us enlightened throughout the day. The jungle walk, the river boat cruise and the swim were the highlights!
Lovely day, for guide Steve was great, very knowledgeable, funny, attentive to his passengers needs. The day was long however we certainly covered alot of ground and sights.
Wonderful well rounded experience. Our guide Steve was knowledgeable and entertaining.
The rainforest was absolutely gorgeous, but what really made our trip was our guide Darren. He was not only super knowledgeable, but fun, funny and relatable! There was a little girl from Tokyo on the trip and he made sure to mention that this little person was aboard the van and made her feel so special. Never once did I get the feeling that Darren was saying anything by wrote, like simply reciting memorized facts. It was like having a close friend enthusiastically and authentically taking you on a journey that he so enjoyed himself. We loved the small van experience vs a large coach because over the 8 hours we got to talk with everyone on the trip, people from all over the globe. Some highlights were swimming in Mossman Gorge, the yummy lunch in an intimate, local setting, and the homemade, local organic ice cream on our way home. Delicious! And Cape Tribulation was breathtakingly beautiful with amazing geometrical patterns in the sand made by tiny little crabs. We loved the pace, the people, the places we saw, and most of all our guide!!! Lizzy Norther California
Overall the tour is worth taking. It covers a lot of activities and we have seen many interesting things. It's a very long day. So if you have more time, it's better to visit Gorge separately from Daintree forest.
I saw so much in one day! I think now maybe too much. Reason I say this, is because the guide was in a hurry to be on time everywhere later during the day. There were also a lot of road works on the way, that took some extra time. I really loved what we all saw and did, but it wasn't very relaxed after the lunch. Still, I really loved the rainforest.
Really fun trip through the rainforest with a great guide, fun lunch, and good stops. Would recommend.
Our guide, Steve, was wonderful. Very personable and knowledgeable. We saw many beautiful sights. I would have liked to see more wildlife in the rainforest but of course that can’t be controlled. We did see a very large crocodile in the river, which was very exciting!
The most beautiful day, great weather wonderful tour guide and amazing scenery.
A great opportunity to visit a unique place and to learn about it. John was an excellent guide/driver who shared his extensive knowledge of the rainforest and area. A very enjoyable day.
Carsten is a fantastic guide - his energetic personality and delivery of facts was engaging and fun and we loved his jokes!! Perfect group size and Carsten managed crowds and logistics particularly professionally. Best for those who want a quick flyby of each highlight but it did feel rushed at times, for example I wish we actually went for a walk in the forest as we only did about 350m in each stop so it felt very surface level, but Carsten did a great job at explaining the fauna and flora. Perfect length at the gorge for swimming. Fair price for what we got but could improve on dietary requirements provisions so all meals and snacks could be enjoyed; the fruit tasting was really interesting and unique. Transport was comfortable and pick up was straightforward and efficient.
From beginning to end, the tour was great. But the star of the show was Carsten. He is knowledgeable, enthusiastic, funny, and engaging. We felt lucky that he was guiding us!
The day was exceptional. From the drive along the coast to the drive through the rainforest. We enjoyed all the scenic stops for picture taking. Karsten our guide did a great job sharing information about all the sights. We enjoyed the riverboat ride and were able to see several large crocodiles. Lunch was great. We tried the barramundi and kangaroo loin. Both dishes were very good as well as the tropical fruit served with our meals. I would highly recommend this day tour.
The tour was fantastic. Steve was an amazing tour guide, and he really went above and beyond to make sure we had a great tour. His knowledge of the area is truly impressive, and I had a very enjoyable trip. Thank you Steve!
Our guide Stev was absolutely fantastic. He went above and beyond. The trip was more than what we expected. Thank you!
Big long day- but amazing. 7am back at 7 pm Breathtaking views and great experiences. We were in good hands with John on this must do trip.
Really loved this tour, it was a small group and Ron was a great guide telling us so much information and good stories about each area, the wildlife and had lots of knowledge. Having the coffee and bread at the start of the day once we got to the gorge was a nice way to reset after the drive before exploring and it was great to get close to nature. We were lucky to see a juvenile cassowary on the road side wandering around so that was an exciting spot! The crocodile tour was also fun, you can see the big male adult Scarface who was fully out on the mud for us, Scooter if you’re lucky and there was also a “baby” on his own about a year old. Sit on the left of the boat (ie turn right as you get on from the front) to get the best views of the bank. The beach at Cape Tribulation is stunning. We saw a lot in one day but it felt like lots of decent time at each stop to take in the nature, beautiful ferns and trees and try to wildlife spot. A very memorable day!
What a fantastic tour! Steve was our driver for the day but also an Historian, botanist as well as a funny and knowledgeable storyteller. He gave us an insight into the Queensland culture, History, flora and fauna. First, we learnt that Queensland was a land of gold before becoming the land of sugar cane as we drove along the fields to the town of Mossman. Mossman had once a booming industry of sugar cane and Steve explained us the hard work of harvesting and extracting the juice with machetes before the machinery arrived. Time to have a well deserved morning break at Mossman Gorge Visitor Center and to enjoy tea/coffee with delicious scones. Then the shuttle brings you to the rainforest and the magical part is the walk to Mossman Gorge. There is the option of swimming. Steve told us about plants, trees and shows us the giant basket ferns. He told us about this Aboriginal place as Aboriginal are the custodians of the forest and its creatures. Flying foxes, tree kangaroos and cassowaries are the creatures of this forest. The Daintree rainforest is the oldest one on earth and is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Time to taste a delicious piece of kangaroo or Barramundi at Daintree Teahouse and to learn about tropical fruit as Richard, the owner of the restaurant ,is passionate about fruit. The Daintree river cruise is about birds and crocodiles. If you are lucky, you will see Scarface, the king of the river with one tooth left. You will learn about their anatomy and hunting technique. The Cape Tribulation is an other magical moment where the forest meets the sea.It has been named by Captain Cook.Guess why. And why not tasting a delicious ice cream made by an incredible lady ,with natural ingredients at Daintree ice cream company? Still time to enjoy the views at Alexandra lookout and to stop at Port Douglas in front of the Bay. This a very long 12 hour trip but with a lot of stops and the small number of 14 passengers makes the trip enjoyable. Premium tour, yes without any doubt and it 's worth every dollar. Thank you Steve for making us love Queensland.
Excellent day out, Ron was excellent. Wholly recommend.
The tour was a really good way to see Australian rainforest and beaches in North Queensland! It is a full day tour with many stops, enough time to explore and some lovely treats like proper delicious lunch and tea/coffee/scone breakfast. Our guide Steve did a fantastic job giving us a lot of information about Daintree, very professional and organized. It is a small group with great homely atmosphere. Thanks to Steve for showing us some beautiful parts of North Queensland!
AMAZING! Whilst you spend quite a bit of time on a bus it really is well worth it, I loved every minute and the trip is well worth the money!
Such a great day with our tour guide Carsten! Thank you for an amazing time! Such beautiful views and swim! Loved bettys icecream. From your Irish girls!
We had such a fantastic day with Jim today that we had to jump on and write a review straight away! It was a jam-packed day filled with so much information, incredible wildlife and beautiful sights. We were so lucky to see such a variety of Australian wildlife, as well as some amazing scenery along the way. Jim was an absolutely amazing guide — sooooo knowledgeable, incredibly friendly and such a top bloke! He was hilarious and really made the whole day so memorable. You can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and his knowledge and enthusiasm really made the experience. The tour is definitely worth the money, especially as it’s essentially a full 12-hour day from pick-up to drop-off. Everything that was included was fantastic, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. I had the chicken and my partner had the steak, and both were absolutely lovely! There were also lots of little extras that we weren’t expecting, which made the day even more special — including the fruit information from our wonderful host! Thank you so much to everyone involved for such a brilliant day. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend the tour to anyone wanting to experience the Australian wildlife and scenery. And a special thank you to Jim for making it such a fun and memorable day!
Steve is a very knowledgeable tour guide, we throughly enjoyed the day.
Rom was very knowledgeable and had a good relationship with those at the visitor centre and with other guides. It was a well rounded trip and an excellent use of a day. It did take roughly 12 hours though and the majority of it in the bus. But the views are worth it.
We were really impressed with every aspect from booking, communication, smaller group and quality of the vehicle. Our guide was Pierre and he went out of his way to make it personal. Everything was well organised. It is a long day but so glad we did it. It was worth the cost.
Amazing experience, highly recommend. Your guide Carsten was amazing. I’d only recommended it not being so quick.
We had a wonderful day! The Daintree Rainforest was beautiful! What really made the whole day was our guide Steve. He was so funny and taught us so much about the forest and surrounding area. Lunch was delicious. It was so fun to try all different kinds of tropical fruits, several which I’ve never tried before, and some I’ve never even heard of before. Our ice cream stop was a real delight, and a great way to end the day. It was an all around great day spent in the rainforest!
Fun way to see a lot of the Daintree rainforest. We enjoyed our guide Steve and his knowledge of the area
Our tour to Mossman Gorge, Daintree and Cape Tribulation is all must do when exploring far North Queensland. Out tour guide James (Jim) shared so much of his knowledge about the area, and he brings so much energy. It is a 12 hr day however I feel like you need that time to really see everything and take in the sights.
Steve was very helpful and explained everything clearly and made it a good time with all of his dad jokes and banter. He helped me learn a lot about australia the animals and the plants and everything was very interesting and fun to see.
The guide Steve did this tour perfect!
Mario was great very friendly and knowledgeable ! Little restaurant we went to was amazing. Great tour
It‘s basically almost the whole time just sitting in the car. You sit in the car 90 percent of the time.
It was an amazing day and enjoyed our driver Ron. He was very thoughtful in keeping us on time and in the right place.
Our Tour Director was a really nice guy and was very well knowledgeable of the areas we travelled too, unfortunately he forgot to pickup a group of people and we had to go back to cairns to collect them, this meant we lost about an hour in doing so and that meant that we then had to play catch up and cut short our time in some places. The morning felt very rushed, much so that I wasn't even allowed to go to the Toilet as we did not have enough time and had to wait till the next stop to do so. Eventually we caught up with time and the afternoon was much better. In saying so, the tour is definitely one to do and I would do it again if I was asked. The day is very much jammed packed and you get to do and see quiet a lot in one day.
Great and enjoyable tour that wasn’t rushed. Has plenty of time to see and experience all stops
If you are short on time and want to see as much as you can, this tour is a fantastic option. Our guide Steve is very knowledgeable and it was a nice intimate group. We swam, we walked, we ate and took heaps of photos. Highly recommend!!!!
This was beyond just a bad tour—it was an infuriating, humiliating ordeal that ruined our vacation. What was sold as a premium day trip felt like being trapped in a rushed, chaotic cattle drive run by an operator with zero respect for human comfort. Blatant False Advertising: Key promised destinations, including Rex Lookout and Port Douglas, were completely skipped. You pay full price for an itinerary they arbitrarily discard. 4-Hour Restroom & Water Deprivation: We were locked in the vehicle for over four straight hours without a single opportunity to stretch, hydrate, or use a restroom. Basic physiological necessities were completely ignored. Aggressively Rushed: Mossman Gorge was butchered down from 1.5 hours to an absurd 35-minute sprint. During lunch, the guide began forcing people out while they were still chewing, blatantly refusing to allow a two-minute bathroom break. Zero Hospitality or Value: No tea in the afternoon We were aggressively herded around by an indifferent, hostile guide whose only goal was to clock out as quickly as possible. Damaged, Unsafe-Feeling Vehicle: The bus was loud, rattling, and had completely ruined suspension. Every single pothole slammed violently through our seats, turning hours of driving into physical punishment. DO NOT BOOK: An absolute nightmare, disrespectful staff, and a complete waste of money.
Great tour guy, gives lots of history and information about Carirns, Port Douglas and Cape tribulation, crocs etc. Morning tea damper, lunch and afternoon ice cream were beautiful and delicious. Spotted a few crocs on the river cruise. Very enriching tour. I’ll recommend.
We had a very good day. Ron was a great guide and provided a lot of information about the various areas we went to. He also tried to fit in as much as possible throughout the day. Lunch was delicious with a good range of food and interesting commentary on the variety of seasonal fruit included. It is a long day but you get to see many different areas. Would recommend.
Best day trip we have done in Australia!! Clint was a fantastic tour guide, he kept the energy high, was knowledgeable and just made the whole experience great! The tour itself was amazing we saw so much in one and so many amazing animals and views! Thank you!
It is a long day but worth the effort So many amazing view points Small number on tour Make sure you pack your swimwear
Heat tour and the friendly guide Carsten did a great job explaining the places and giving some history of the places.
