Great couple hours on the river with knowledgeable local young man. Recommend this for an afternoon excursion in Cairns.
Very good, worth the money and a lot of interesting facts about everything on the water. Would definitely recommend
A timely cruise of perfect Cairns Trinity inlet as we had limited time on hand. The third-party booking platform should be clearer in the ticking process and boarding location should be specified. The cruise itself was pleasurable, and the guide was informative, the sights were amazing and you get free soft drink onboard. Highly recommend short cruise
We thoroughly enjoyed this relaxing cruise, and our guide; Jake was excellent, friendly and full of interesting information on the area! It was a great way to fill-in some time before our flight home.
Really nice trip through the inlet and admiral island. Informative and fun. Steve, our captain, was great
Nothing spectacular but a nice little trip around the inlet with a pleasant informative driver. Great way to spend the late morning
Lovely relaxing day. The crew were friendly and welcoming. We had tea and scones while admiring the scenery and listening to the commentary. Lunch at the Breakfast Creek was veey nice and we also sampled some beer before our trip back. A really enjoyable day
This tour (River Cruise) would have to have been one of the best things we did when we were in Cairns. Unfortunately, we don’t have the best sea legs, so at least adventurous, and calmer water activity suited us. The team at Cairns adventure group were amazing, they were friendly and welcoming! Captain Jack took us on the river trip and he was very knowledgeable about the area and have lots of stories to tell us! It was a wonderful way to spend a morning out on the water…
We had a great experience with Cairns River Cruises. Our guide and skipper, Jack, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and engaging. It was a relaxed atmosphere, and we learned loads about Cairns, its maritime history, and the ecosystem of the mangroves. Jack also had lots of colourful stories about the ships and wildlife of the inlet. I would highly recommend Cairns River Cruises to anyone looking to enjoy a cruise of the inlet for an hour and a half.
Boat ride through the Trinity Inlet was smooth and the skipper Jack was not only was he knowledgeable but he made the talk interesting with a laugh in between. Jack was happy to answer all our questions and would highly recommend an introduction to the mangroves and history of the boats Michelle and family from WA Busselton
Very knowledgeable guide (who was also from Yorkshire!), knew all about the area, boats, history etc, good value tour of the inlet and mangroves. Thank you.
This was a calm little boat tour, and our guide (Jack from Leeds?) was great and we learned a lot about the local economy. We also learned about the mangroves, funnel spiders, and crocodiles... but fortunately, we only saw mangroves.
Very interesting small tour, max 12 guest. There were only 5 of us. Soft drink included. Very informative tour around the inlet.
The check in process was easy. As it turned out we were the only passengers that day and time so feeling free to ask questions was made even easier. Our driver/guide, Jack was very knowledgeable and engaging. It was a wonderful way to see the harbour and inlets and learn a little about the region. Would highly recommend.
We really enjoyed this. Belinda was an awesome guide. Very knowledgeable, funny and interesting. Local history and current information. Some really quirky stories we loved and lots of nature information too. Nice relaxing trip down the inlet.
Very relaxing afternoon cruise up and down the inlet. Really friendly captain who told us lots about the history of the area. Nice to sit and recharge after a busy few days.
Steph was a complete legend, the inlet was beautiful and the whole experience was an absolute laugh I loved it! Would recommend to anyone wanting to see crocs or who just want a fun experience in cairns
The Best Arvo! Great laughs, thanks so much Staffy! So very relaxing! Plenty of local knowledge, Highly recommended! We will be Back! Cheers!
We booked this last minute to give us an introduction to Cairns and it was fantastic! It was almost a private tour as there was only one other couple with us. Staffie our skipper for the trip was so friendly and very informative. It was a wonderful way to spend an hour and a quarter meandering along the trinity inlet taking in all the sights and sounds of the beautiful mangroves. I would highly recommend this on a visit to Cairns. Thank you.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and talkative. Due to it being a smaller tour (only 7 people) it was very personalised and we all had a nice time talking to him.
Ben looked after us so well. Great information and knowledgeable facts. Very pleasant trip through the inlet.. relaxing. And a nice cool drink also
Had a great time on our cruise. Our captain was very knowledgeable and friendly and knew his stuff. Would highly recommend.
A magnificent experience. Great scenery, great commentary very pleasant professional service. We saw aspects of Cairns never sighted in the past four years.Captain Joe’s knowledge and enthusiasm for task was first class. He was ably assisted by deck hand Lizzie A must do trip.
It was a very pleasant afternoon cruise up the trinity inlet. Our guide was so friendly and had lots of tales to tell about the ships and waterways . I would definitely recommend for a relaxing hour and a half
A lovely, restful and interesting getaway, up the quiet mangrove-lined creeks a few minutes out of the Cairns marina. Our guide was an engaging local who knew the history of the area, what birds and animals we might see and who lived on what houseboat. Good value.
Put this on your “must do” list for Cairns. Joe, our captain and tour guide, kept us entertained as we cruised around Trinity Inlet. Full of interesting and relevant facts, he was the icing on the cake for this fabulous cruise.
Good boat trip for those who can’t do more than 90 mins due to time constraints- entertained by Darwin boy now working in Cairns- who knows about the tropics and crocs- mangroves are thick and didn’t realise the inlets were full of decrepit boats-
It was a great boat ride with Joe who was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. It was a fantastic experience. The staff there, Liz and Jordan were very helpful and nice.
Fantastic little tour and hospitality. Our guide had so much information/history about the transformation of the marina and shipping/export activities from Cairns. He was also extremely well informed about the mangroves and what they do for the area. Even spotted a crocodile. Definitely worth doing.
Jacob went above and beyond to provide a fascinating tour full of history, information about the area, the businesses on the inlet, the boats moored in the inlet, the mangroves, flora and fauna, weather, and recent cyclonic activities. We were lucky enough to experience a monsoonal downpour during which I captured some amazing images. Jacob was a font of information and must have talked almost non-stop for the entire trip whilst expertly navigating the waterway.
We did this at the last minute and really enjoyed it! It’s a relaxing cruise around the inlet - unfortunately not any wildlife to be seen this day - but still a very interesting cruise around the mangroves. Lovely captain and a soft drink to enjoy whilst you meander.
The whole cruise was great from start to finish. For the time slot that I chose, I was the only person booked on the afternoon cruise. They could have easily cancelled the cruise and I would have understood, but they decided to do it anyway just with myself and the skipper. The cruise was informative and plenty of points of interest shown throughout the cruise. It was a really lovely time and a good way to fill up a bit of time in the afternoon. Highly recommended.
Great tour with the very informative Samuel. Learned a lot about this history and activities around the inlet, would happily recommend this tour.
This was a great little cruise. Our guide (I think his name was Samuel but don't throw me to the crocodiles if I'm wrong) was extremely friendly and had a great sense of humour. He had a really good knowledge of the area and the history of the place. He also knew a lot about the wildlife in the area. He knew exactly where to go to spot a crocodile. This cruise was really enjoyable and great value for money. I'd definitely recommend it.
Sam was a very entertaining and informative tour guide/driver and it was lovely to hear all his personal connections with the area. Saw a croc as an added bonus! Would definitely recommend this chill tour of the fascinating mangrove areas to anyone visiting Cairns.
A delightful and informative late afternoon cruise up Trinity Inlet (Cairns River). The skipper of the boat provided a truly interesting commentary on the mangrove ecosystem. His wealth of local knowledge brought the river to life for us as he pointed out local landmarks. A relaxed and informal afternoon of great fun. We will be back.
