Your guide meets you at either Cairns Station (or Skyrail Smithfield Terminal if itinerary reversed) for return to your Cairns accommodation (or Cruise Liner Port), sharing recommendations for other Tropical North Queensland attractions. Man was very friendly, helpful and informative. The railway was a great experience, great views and good information provided. The old carriages are on the small side, we were lucky not to have to squeeze 4 adults into a row. The skyway is only 50% open but the ride down to Baron Falls and back was still enjoyable with great views. Kuranda itself is full of little shops and restaurants, great to wander around for an hour or two and get a bite to eat.
A terrific day! Our guide, named Man, was excellent. A lovely guy and a lot of fun and knowledgeable on the local history too. He looked after us very well. We laughed a lot. Only downside was the closure of a portion of the Skyrail due to ongoing maintenance. But the ride to Barron Falls was still a treat. Kuranda is beautiful with the Rainforest Market an absolute delight. The train ride down the mountain to Cairns was simply FANTASTIC! What an engineering feat. Man was there to meet us at the Cairns Railway Station and drop us to our motel. A great day!

**Fantastic Kuranda day with Mann** We had an excellent day on the Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail tour, and our guide, Mann, made it even better. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and very well organized, keeping everything running smoothly from pickup to return. The train journey through the rainforest was beautiful, with wonderful views of Barron Falls, and the Skyrail offered a peaceful and spectacular ride above the rainforest canopy. Mann shared helpful information throughout the day and made sure everyone had a great experience. Highly recommended!
This was a nice mix of activities to get the full enjoyment of seeing the rainforest from different views. Both the train ride, the gondola, and the walk through the rainforest were all very worth while.
Great, informative day out with Man, who dropped us off at station For 2 hour train ride to Kuranda then 15 min cable car ride into rainforest, 20 min tour with free guide then back on cable car. Man then took us into Kuranda where we had 2 hours free time for lunch & shopping then took us back into Cairns on minibus

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Both the railway journey and the skyrail cable car were unforgettable but probably the star of the day was our guide - Mann. He was excellent; giving us lots of information and importantly taking us on short walks to explain something of the rain forest. So on this tour you get to see this amazing part of the world from the train, from above and also on the ground. A truly excellent trip, something we will always treasure.
We enjoyed the small group experience. We were lucky to go for a gentle walk into the rainforest where we fortunate to see a Ulysses butterfly.
This was a great way to get to and from the skyrail and Railway as well as seeing Kuranda with a guide. Pan was super friendly and knowledgeable. You could do this trip without a guide if you want to deal with getting to and from the stations but it was great to have all the details worked out so we could just show up and have a nice day sightseeing
Man is very knowledgeable. We enjoyed his anecdotes! Even though the train part of our journey was canceled due to circumstances beyond anyone's control, he was ready with an alternate stop. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.

Just do it. Amazing, although it rained, coming down through the cloud on the skyrail was very exciting.
We only got the train up as the skyrail was under maintenance which was a bit sad. They did orgainize other activities and lunch to make up the costs which was great but didn't have much time to walk around the town, we got time to have a coffee then had to meet travel guides.
Awesome experience! The scenic train took us through some gorgeous parts of the rainforest, including Barron Falls and tunnels. We also got to explore Kuranda village and take the Skyrail back down to Cairns. Our tour guide, Man, was super friendly and knowledgeable and made sure we had a wonderful time. Definitely recommend!
If you don’t want any hassles getting to the train/Skyrail and getting tickets and lining up etc I would recommend this tour. You also have a 2 hour stop at Kuranda to have lunch and look at the sights/markets etc. Tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Man was a competent and generally knowledgeable guide. However, it was difficult for us to see how the $300+ we paid for his services after deducting the ticket price translated into tangible value, especially after we participated in other equivalently-priced tours. Although we were the only two guests that day, the trip felt more like a transfer service rather than a bespoke guided tour. The pacing of the tour also felt rushed and Man constantly reminded us that he was waiting for us which felt somewhat passive aggressive to me. I’m aware that this itinerary has many self-guided elements but it would do well for Man to consider how the few touch points he has with guests can be improved to address the issues highlighted above.
Man was our driver/tour guide. The tour was easy - hotel pick up, drop off to train, pick up in Kuranda to lookout in rainforest, dropped back to Kuranda to spend 2 hours doing whatever you liked - we did Birdworld and animal enclosures (coukd have done butterflies too), then lunched and explored shops. Then ride to Skyrail. Scenic Rail and Skyrail were great. A really lovely day out - no stress, no hassle. Good for people who want to relax or need to know exactly what is coming next. My son does not like exerting himself - we both enjoyed the birds!!

We chose to do this adventure last minute, and it was absolutely perfect. The views were outstanding and it was a great way for us to spend our morning.
We booked a tour with Manto do both the Skyrail and Scenic Railway and it was everything we hoped for and more. He was always on time to meet us at the different spots and as an added bonus took us on a little rainforest adventure in between where we learned some of the history of the area and some facts about the flora and fauna of the area. Showed us around Kuranda so we knew where everything was before we started and dropped us back to our car as promised. It was a great tour and such an amazing day. Thanks Man
The Kuranda railway / Skyrail gondola is an amazing experience. The views are incredible, the town very cute and the whole experience is unique and thrilling. Our driver Mein was wonderful, very informative and knowledgeable about the railway. We would highly recommend him.

The train ride to Kuranda was an awesome experience and the story of how it was built is amazing. The views were spectacular and the waterfalls were beautiful. Just when you thought you couldn’t be more amazed you took the skyrail back down and enjoyed the sites from another viewpoint. A must do experience
We had an amazing small group tour with Man as our driver. He planned out perfectly each step of this tour, starting with picking us up and dropping us off at the ship.
Mann was an outstanding driver/guide. Great day on the train and sky rail and in Kurunda. The sky rail was delayed due to weather, but Mann ensured we were all aboard and met us at the end. Delightful person who really knew his business.
Had a little bit of a hiccup at pick up but after that the trip was excellent . Timings were perfect for each stage and having two hours to spend in the lovely town of Kuranda was great.
Our guide named “Man” was excellent and very knowledgeable. Train journey was great and comfortable. Skyline back down was unfortunately hampered by rain/thunderstorms in the area, so didn’t get to see the views of the rainforest and around. We were just unlucky on the day. Otherwise a great day out
