Cairns City Sights And Surrounds Tour

We were taken to beautiful places in the area and learned so much wonderful history. Our guide David provided a wealth of information. He loves his role in sharing what he knows. The tour is absolutely worth it.

This was a great tour for seeing some of the sights of Cairns and surrounds when you don't have a car or a lot of time. St Monica's Cathedral was a standout, the windows are breathtaking. Also enjoyed the Museum, a delicious afternoon tea, the drive up to the viewing point, and the visit to Palm Cove. Fiona was a very knowledgeable and easy going guide. A very enjoyable afternoon.

Great day out and tour operators Peter and Gavin were very informative and knew what they were talking about. This tour was excellent to see things you probably wouldn’t have seen if you did on your own

Take some water and get ready to learn a lot. We are not from Cairns and may not get back here so we did this tour. It was fantastic and you even got Scones, jam and cream for afternoon tea. The Driver (David), we had was so knowledgeable and informative. Really learnt a lot and can recommend this tour

This is such a wonderful tour if you’re short on time but want to pack as much as you can in. We only had two full days in Cairns so this was perfect. We learned a lot about the area in a short amount of time. Our tour guide David was friendly and informative. Thank you !

I’m not usually impressed enough to write a review I was with this tour and Brad There was flexibility in the tour, (slight deviation, weather dependent and with agreement of all passengers), All sights were well worth the look-see Certainly worth doing the tour on one of the first days in Cairns to get an idea of what other options of activities there are

Great tour guide with immense knowledge of the city and all it has to offer! Got to see a lot of great spots in Cairns. Spent more time in the van and less time at the stops than would have been preferred. Coffee stop could have been a bit shorter so we would have had more time at the museum and Palm Cove.

Steve and David were excellent guides. We learnt a lot about the areas we saw. Afternoon tea at Edge Hill really nice break.

This was a trip just to fill in a few hours I had free one afternoon. Our lovely helpful driver Lisa took us on some highlights of the City, provided lots of good information. Lots of short stops and just what was needed in time I had. The only very small negative I had was a Devonshire Cream Tea was listed as the food stop, it was only cake and drink. But having said that it was no problem for me and did not impact my enjoyment of the trip but others may have expected more. Just want to say again how super and friendly Lisa was, a credit to the company.

Brad was our driver/tour guide. He was absolutely brilliant! He explained our afternoon itinerary and what to expect. Along the way, he pointed out places of interest and told us a few stories about these places. He was punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. We had a marvelous experience.

We had a tough time finding the pick up point. It was not as stated in voucher.Overall the trip was good and our guide cum driver was both friendly and helpful.

We were a couple, ages 70/72, on a cruise and we had a great time on this tour. Lisa was our guide and she was so personable, knowledgeable and professional. We were met at the arranged meeting point on time in a comfortable vehicle. The trip was very varied and we saw local sites in the Cairns area, I won't list them to preempt the trip. We stopped for a drink and bun and then went to a lookout and then Palm Cove and were dropped back at the cruise ship. We were not rushed at any time. We thoroughly enjoyed the 5 hours with Lisa and got a good feeling for Cairns and the surrounding area, within limited time. Highly recommend.

Today was a great day tour with Steve. The driver took us many great places and gave historicall explanations regarding the area. This tour is worth it for those new to Cairns.

Great introduction to Cairns with Dom. He was really informative and showed all the best places. Highly recommend this tour and you will be li ku if you have Dom.

This was really amazing tour thanks to our fantastic guide Dom. He is such a storyteller and had so much te tell, and with great passion. He made this trip really interesting and worthwhile. The spots are amazing, the stained glass windows at St. Monica are just insane with the story of creation. Museum is very interesting too. Botanical Gardens are so beautiful to see. Tea and scones are very nice, and Palm Cove is just out of this world. You have to see it. Highly recommend mostly due to tremendous job of guide Dom . I wished all the tours had such a guide 🙏

Without a doubt a excellent tour with our guide Steve! As a solo traveller without a car it is a great way to experience Cairns. All on time, but never had a rushed feeling. Loved every second!

This was a great tour to see some of the highlights of Cairns. St Monica's Cathedral (where the stained glass windows are magnificent) Palm Cove, the Cairns Museum and Botanic gardens. Plenty of time at each stop and informative commentary along the way.

Small group tour in very comfortable bus, driver had all the information. He took us to some interesting places in Cairns. It is a good way to get your bearings if you are new or not so new to Cairns. Botanical gardens was our highlight as there was so much out in flower. Nice scone and coffee along the way.

Mr. Steve was very informative. Professional, awesome. Answer each person question. I would do another tour with this company again.

We were picked up from our hotel on time with a nice new coach. The driver was very pleasant and knowledgeable about Cairns. We got a good overview but he did recommended to go back to the various places as the time spent at the stops was not long enough to do them just justice. However we did not feel that way, it was just right for us. The afternoon tea was very nice with a lot of drink options and the scone jam and cream was tasty. My wife being gluten and lactose intolerant was well looked after as well. If you are not overly energetic this one is for you, very relaxed pace with not much walking that you have to do, but if you are there was time to get more walking in.

Our guide Steve was personable, professional, and knowledgeable. Communication regarding the trip was excellent. The bus was comfortable. This tour gave us a good overview of the history of the area and ideas of where we would like to spend the rest of our short stay in Cairns. Thank you!

Great sampler tour of some of Cairn's lesser known sights. Not a lot of time at each place, but enough to leave you wanting to come back and explore further. Good half day tour if you're short on time.

In my case it was a small group which made the trip very interesting. Good friendly vibes meant for a relaxed trip & since the places on tour were very different eg Cathedral, beautiful beaches & a botanical garden the afternoon passed quickly

I enjoyed this tour despite the fact that it was short. It's a great introductory tour to the main places around Cairns. While it was slightly rainy towards the end of the tour, it was still good to see the main places. Our tour guides were great, and their added commentary and humour added to the fun. Definitely go for it if you'd like a quick introduction to the city.

Great trip. Saw things I would not see just walking around. Transport was comfortable. Guide/Driver (Geoff) knew a lot about these sites and was very helpful.

A nice clean city, easy to get around . Public transport is very reliable and cheap. As a tourist with no car, getting around with a bus is very easy, with $5 a wk, transport fee to use as many time as you want and even go out to Palm Cove which is over 25 kms away.. Many tours are also available as well; can be picked up from your hotel for the extra convenience. Not a congested area as most big cities and found it safe to walk alone at night .

Dom and Steve provided a wonderful, entertaining tour including humor and wonderful sites and information. Especially loved St. Monica’s windows and the overlook from high outside town. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed this tour as it provided a different view of Cairns outside of the city center. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and helpful along the way with information and tips and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the beach. It was a nice way to spend the day.

Fabulous day, so much variety in what we saw, our tour guide/driver was amazing , kept us all entertained and had so much knowledge . We loved this tour.

The Cairns Sights and Surrounds Tour was amazing! Chris was a fantastic tour guide who not only gave us a ton of historical information about the area but also kept us in stitches with his dad jokes. With only two days in Cairns, this was a great way to fit in highlights of several different experiences in a few hours. Highly recommend!

We did a fantastic half-day tour to the cathedral, Cairns Museum, Botanic Gardens, a tea and scone cafe, Mount Whitfield for the stunning scenic city view, Lake Placid and Palm Cove beach. What made the tour truly brilliant and memorable was Chris, the tour guide. He has a huge knowledge of Cairns (and plants!) and is insightful, gracious and considerate. We must also give a shout out to James the guide at Cairns Museum who was also amazing and crammed so much into a short synopsis of Cairns history. This is one of Cairns best-value trips for sure and we would highly recommend it. Five stars!!!

What a great experience we had , our tour guide Chris was fantastic . He was very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. We were taken to some awesome places around cairns then to palm cove . We all had a great day and would highly recommend this tour to everyone

This was a good way to see the sights of Cairns especially if you dont have your own transport. Our driver/guide provided an interesting history of Cairns while travelling around. We saw beautiful stained glass windows in St Monica's Cathedral, visited Cairns Museum, had a delicious devonshire tea and then went to the Botanic Gardens. Afterwards we went to a scenic lookout and then stopped at Palm Cove on the way back to Cairns.

A wonderful afternoon, with so much to see and enjoy for every member of the family. Chris, our tour guide was very knowledgable and very entertaining as well. He was able to answer all of our questions. We were taken all around Cairns to experience the sights and history of Cairns and enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea with scones and jam and cream. We thoroughly enjoyed this afternoon tour and the office staff were so accommodating in organising this afternoon tour for us and ensuring we didn't miss our on this tour.

Tour guide very helpful with passengers on and off the coach. A lot of information given about the local history of Cairns and surrounds. Great afternoon tea opportunity.

Very interesting and educational. Our guide Chris took us thru part of the botanical gardens and was able to tell us a lot about many of the plants. The scones were delicious! If you order the lemonade, it's Sprite, not lemonade. We covered a lot and I'd highly recommend it early in your stay in Cairns just to get oriented.

I can’t say enough good things about this Discovery Tour. We sampled almost everything that Cairns has to offer. Botanical Gardens, Museum, Palm Cove, tea and scones, and more.
