Travellers Paradise

We stayed here for one week and had a quiet, peaceful experience. The house has a classic, traditional style, and the room was spacious enough for a comfortable stay. It was equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioning and a fan. The host is a very hardworking person who clearly values cleanliness and takes great care of the property. It seems like he handled most of the cleaning himself, and his dedication to maintaining a clean environment was noticeable, such as swimming pool, floor and bathroom. Because of this, we also try to keep both the shared areas and our room clean so that we would not add to the host’s workload. Although sometime will have a few small insects, but this is normal given that the property is located in the countryside. Overall, we appreciated our week-long stay and the host’s efforts in keeping the accommodation clean and well-maintained.

Extremely impressed by the beauty, calmness and cleanliness we experienced while staying here. Peter was a great host who went above and beyond to insure out late check in with smooth with no issues. Only grips is I wish we could of stayed longer.

We moved to this hostel from a place around the corner that was very gross. We walked over to see if it is more to our tastes and Peter was very helpful. We stayed for 4 nights. The rooms are clean and airy. Over all a lovely place. We did unfortunately have a few door slammers in our hall which didn't make for great sleep, but out of the owners control. My only suggestion is maybe to add one more 2 plate cook top to the kitchen on one of the other counters. The hostel was fully booked during our stay and rush hour cooking every evening was quite difficult with only 1 (4 plate) cook top available. Other than that the kitchen is well equiped.

We stayed for two nights, we really enjoyed our stay. There’s a wonderful atmosphere in the house. Peter was very kind, welcoming, and pleasant. He’s extremely well organised and keeps every area spotless. I highly recommend staying here. If I come back to Cairns, I’ll definitely book with Peter again.
