The Abbott Boutique Hotel

Amazing place with exceptional customer service! I recently stayed here while in town for a diving trip, and I had a fantastic experience from start to finish. I checked in for one night before departing for my dive trip and returned to the hotel afterward for the remainder of my stay. Throughout both stays, the staff was incredibly welcoming, accommodating, and helpful. From facilitating my very late check-in to helping me get oriented with the city, they consistently went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed. One of the biggest conveniences for me was the on-site laundry facility. After several days of diving, having access to a clean and well-maintained laundry area was extremely helpful. The facility itself was spotless and easy to use. I also have to mention the shower—the water pressure was excellent and definitely noteworthy, especially after a long day of traveling and diving! Overall, I had an outstanding experience. The hotel offered everything I needed, but what truly made my stay memorable was the exceptional staff and their commitment to taking care of their guests. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Simply magnificent. My wife stayed here recently and being a regular visitor to Cairns was able to provide a first hand comparison to other accommodation in town. All of the staff she encountered on her stay were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and she felt safe. Located very close to shops and restaurants meant everything was walking distance away. Really nice incidental touchs like free access to bottled water and coffee and biscuits instead of made to pay for every little thing. A communal kitchen was a great idea for reheating take away meals and snacks. A very well thought out establishment that could teach the big guys a thing or two. Definitely on our list to return to.

I would absolutely recommend the Abbott Boutique Hotel in Cairns. We stayed 3 nights. It is an older hotel but still feels like an elegant boutique hotel and furnishing’s in rooms and in public areas were updated and in good condition. Rooms were clean and comfortable and quiet. No view but that’s not what we needed anyway. Our room was serviced after the 2nd night, but there were towels and other bathroom amenities available in a lounge area freely available if needed on a self-service basis. I loved the self-service cafe/lounge, with free coffee machine, biscuits, changing station, water bottles and filtered cold water on tap. Guest kitchen was a bonus for those travelling on a budget and the free laundry was another excellent extra. It seems as though a lot of thought has gone into how to make guests’ stay comfortable. The location of hotel was fantastic, very close to the Esplanade and the wharf for reef tours etc. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I would totally stay here again. It was also very reasonably priced for what it provided.

This hotel was wonderful. I did not like Cairns, so staying at this hotel made my visit so much more enjoyable than it would have been otherwise. They provide free laundry including the detergent. My favorite thing was the lounge area with plenty of tables and chairs, beautiful photography on the walls and a very high end espresso/cappuccino machine with complimentary coffee and cookies too. Such a nice touch.
