The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the hotel's central location was convenient. The room was also a good size, which I appreciated.
However, there were several issues that affected my stay. The room was not very clean, and I found a cockroach in the room, and the water tap wouldn't shut off completely. I was also disturbed at around 8 am when a cleaner pushed the door open without giving notice while I was still sleeping, which was quite uncomfortable. Also, the room did not have a particularly nice view.
Rooms are a large size they are basic older rooms with modern refurbs incl XLarge size TV; clean and comfortable rooms; strong air con; large bathtub large size bed. So close to everything very central position. Gated secure free parking onsite.
This is our first stay here and have found it to be exactly what we hoping for. The staff are helpful and friendly. The location is great. We can recommend it and will stay again
Well located, comfortable accommodation. Large, well appointed rooms, cleaned daily. Classic Queenslander styled architecture with modern amenities. Walking distance to most activities in the city.
Would definitley book again if I was to visit Cairns.
Great service and well located. They are doing renovations but the noise level is not too loud. We were right next door to a room being renovated and we could talk and watch tv easy.
While the building looks dated, it’s extremely well maintained and as they’re doing renovations some rooms are brand new and done really well.
Pool is great and refreshing!
The wifi signal is weak if you’re not close to the front desk - so hopefully that is fixed once renovations are done.
Lastly, location and staff are fantastic. At the price point it’s well worth it!
