Absolutely fantastic place to stay within the Northern beaches of Cairns. Our second time staying at Golden Sands was as good as we remembered with Carl and Mandy very accommodating. They looked after us with our room request which was fantastic as we absolutely loved the room we had on our first stay. The rooms are clean, large in size, and have everything you need for your stay. Plenty of secure underground car parking, with an onsite cafe/restaurant, and a heated pool set amongst the gorgeous tropical gardens. The beach is a 30 second walk from the rear gate! Close central drive to Cairns, any of the Northern beaches, Kuranda, and only 50 mins to Port Douglas.

Lovely resort off the beaten track. Beachfront but no water views due to palm trees. Great pool. Not strong chemicals. Responsive staff. Great location between Cairns and Smithfield for shopping and cinemas. Not far to Palm Cove or even Port Douglas for activities. Best to have a car.
