My wife and I stayed at the Piatelli Wine Resort in Cafayate, Argentina in July 2026. It is a beautiful resort with welcoming and helpful staff. It is a great place to go if you want to totally relax and feel isolated, but not too far from the action if you want it. It is a short drive to downtown Cafayate and other wineries. If you stay at the Piatelli, you must visit Bodega Yacohuya and Domingo Molina! They are also excellent wineries. We would highly recommend Piatelli Wine Resort.

Beautiful resort. Very nice setting and very well kept. Off season so we had me plenty of space. Great service from staffmembers. Met the american owners who was very welcoming and friendly. Would def come again and can recommend for a little romantic getaway in a beautiful and lux setting.

Unfortunately, there was a discrepancy between the price communicated at reception and the final amount charged the following morning. This caused confusion and negatively impacted our stay. Apart from this issue, everything else was generally fine. We enjoyed the dinner, and we would also like to thank the staff for the laundry service — our clothes were washed and returned very quickly, which we appreciated. However, the spa experience was disappointing, as it felt that the service was provided without much interest, so I would not recommend the spa here. I would advise guests to be especially attentive when dealing with the reception staff and, if possible, to settle payments immediately to avoid unpleasant surprises. I am giving only one star due to the misleading pricing.

Pros: The rooms are spacious and nicely designed, the staff is very friendly, and the food is genuinely good. We also really enjoyed the wine tasting — especially the wine & chocolate pairing, which was original and delicious. It was our anniversary and they kindly gifted us a champagne, which we really appreciated. Cons: We had a reservation for the “spa” (water circuit + sauna), but there was no one there to receive us, provide towels/shoes, or explain how anything worked. The “water circuit” is just a very small pool, quite underwhelming, and we couldn’t figure out how to turn on the hydromassage since no one was around to assist. On top of that, other guests were using the pool even though it was supposed to be reserved only for us — the space is tiny, so it didn’t feel relaxing or romantic at all. I also think the decoration of the main hall could be warmer and cozier. Overall, it felt too expensive for what you actually get.
