Reviews
The bus does not have a schedule.. says like every 20 minutes but at 1 stop we waited an hour. Research where/ what you want to see then circle the stops because you will have no idea where to get off....4, 5, and 6 are good ones... after take it all the way around to the other end.. good to see the difference and the beautiful beach... but just know the stop # you want to see before you get on... and good luck
We rode the full route the first time and then hopped on and off the second time around. Audio was nice to have the extra background.
The bus took forever to leave outside the port terminal. The Cadiz Cathedral was very beautiful. The tower had a great view of the city and the ocean. Wait for 40 mins at the stop 11. No bus was coming . Not worth the money to me. The ticket to get into the Catheral was included. Spent over 6 hours to get to 4 stops.
Alexandra is very good and a very good experience
Alex was a fabulous guide!! We loved the cathedral & Cadiz is a beautiful city.
We were on a cruise and this is a short walk from the pier. We were taken to several caves and had a very refreshing swim. Would recommend for a lovely day out with the family!
It was nice to see parts of the city we would otherwise wouldn’t have seen given we were only there for one night. The audio description was good and the journey was comfortable. In terms of the inner city, it is much better to explore on foot.
We were staying in Chiclana, which is down the coast from Cadiz. I booked and paid for our tickets online, which gave me a receipt with a QR code. I also downloaded the city site seeing tours app. This gives you access to the tour route and other information. On Saturday 16th May, we drove up to Cadiz and parked at El Corte Ingles shopping centre. Open top bus stop right outside. As we entered the bus, the driver scanned my QR code, and he then issued me with paper tickets, valued for the next 48 hours. We decided to do the whole route first, and on the 2nd time around got off at stop 1 by the port and city centre. From there, we could walk into the city, see the sites, and have lunch. From there, we emerged at the far side of the cathedral. Jumped on the next bus at stop 10 and headed back to El Corte Ingles. Then, I drove back to our hotel. On Sunday morning, we repeated our Saturday, but this time, we got off at bus stop 7 to visit Jardines de la Alameda Hermanas and walk around to Parque Genoves and onto La Caleta for a late lunch. From there, we strolled along the promenade, arriving again back at stop 10. Jumped on the next bus back to El Corte Ingles. Then, I drove back to our hotel. So this service is an excellent way to find your way around the city, plus using the app with live arrival times at the bus stops, and information about what is near the bus stops makes sightseeing easy. We have used the service before in other cities, but first time had access to the live app. Recommended if you're in Cadiz.
Wonderful way to see most of Cadiz. Hop on hop off feature is the best thing. Great way to hop off a cruise ship and see beautiful Cadiz as the bus stop is right outside the port gate.
This a short one hour bus tour of the outer edge of the city covering mostly the new part. You need to do a walking tour to see the old city of Cadiz.
From the cruise ship this was easy to get to and was a good overview of the city. There was an audio portion that provided history as the tour progressed
Hop On Hop Off is the perfect way to see and enjoy this beautiful city. We rode the entire route all the way through before “hopping off” to take a closer look at specific sites.
We used this service when we were going to be in Cádiz for a few hours. We used it to circle around its route, then chose which stop to get off. It worked well!
Will go in Sept 2026. Planning our trip. Does the bus pass by the Cathedral?
Very easy to find and board from the cruise terminal. Great views from the top deck but need to wrap up well as it is chilly in the shade.
Buses are frequent and clean. English language commentary is very good. Stop number 4 affords convenient access to the old town, cathedral, Roman theater (free), many shops, restaurants, etc.
I sent you an email and texts to let you know that our ship was not going to Cadiz. I tried to phone you but was cut off twice. Not a good customer service.
This tour gives a great overview of Cadiz. It only takes an hour, allows you to get oriented and then explore all the treasures of this city.
I like the hop-on, hop-off because you get an overall view and then you can go explore what interested you. My first time there, enjoyed learning history of the place
No refund given when online purchase failed to go thru. Had receipts. Did as tour operator instructed and purchased again. No refund!!!
Stopped for a whole 3 seconds at one stop. No cameras to see us or no stop button. But we just got off once it turned around. But it was lame
It is expensive and as most places are only a short walk apart we only used the bus once to go all round to get the commentary and get a quick look at everything. So, not good value really.
Excellent top recorded messages. Ending time was quoted as 7:15pm on booking. Actual ending time was 5:15. Big difference as I was planning on getting on 2:30pm.
Typical hop-on hop-off bus experience. This bus in Cadiz, Spain was clean and the drivers were friendly. The buses ran on time and had no problems finding the bus stops.
Horrible dont book... we purchase our tickets months before coming only to find out they are cheaper if you buy once off boat cause the cruise line pushes it and everyone's does it so the line was over 2 hours long and you still had to wait even if you prebooked ( not fair if you ask me ) and you can't get on other stops till you have gotten the card they won't give you unless you wait in that very very very long line.. need less to say option was to waste most of our time in a line and not see much cause by the time you get on no time to hope off at a stop and explore.or you won't see everything.. sooo we wasted our money and walked around.. Also days before started messaging this company about not able to access our tickets and noooooo reply good thing viator was able to help but should have know how much this company cared about there costumer service with their lack of response. But they sure responded back quickly with a nooo when I asked for a refund 🙄
The bus gets you around town but doesn’t give u any great chance to get photos. You have to get on and off at stops to get any good pics. Secondly if u come on a cruise everyone is trying to get on at beginning stop so took over an hour to even get on the bus. Kinda expensive for what you get but the narrative on the headphones is informative of the area history.
It was a waste of time to prebook this with Viator. The cost is exactly the same as turning up an booking at the bus stop. On the day our cruise arrived, we proceeded to Stop 2 (adjacent to the cruise terminal) to find that only 6 of the 14 stops were operational. There was a sailing event in the old town and the old town was off limits. Essentially the 6 stops consisted of 2 at the port, 3 hotel pick up type stops in the new town (nothing to see) and a ride adjacent to a beach. In 20 minutes. all done. For €27 Euro!. Of course , if we had known we would not have booked. On the day you could have the shorthened trip for half price but we had pre booked so we were stuck. We ended up walking through all the old town. A tiring day. So my advice. DO NOT book here in advance. There is simply no advantage apart for saving maybe 3 minutes in a queue.
Good way to see the city and then decide where we wanted to spend the most time. We enjoyed the market area.
Contacted the provider several times about the pickup spot and didn’t hear anything back. Went to the area and had several buses pass by. We missed the tour. They need better directions and signs.
We did this coming off the cruise ship. We were made to walk to the bus stop where 100s of people were in line on the side of the road. I think it was about 1.5 hours before we were off and running. The tour was fine. If you want to visit historic sights it would probably be worth the money. If your going to the cathedral, shopping, and eating...... all that is a short walk from the cruise port.
The tour did drive us around the city but there was no audio guide. Either he didn't have one or he didn't make it available for us to listen to!
The guide, Hazim, and Abdul the driver were very courteous and friendly. We drove around the relevant points of interest and the commentary was good. I declined the camel ride as I have already had that experience and didnt wish to repeat it. The visit to the Kasbah and Medina were amazing. I had expressed what I wanted to purchase and was taken there. Though the path through the Medina was very steep and difficult terrain for me as I use a walking stick, Hazim was very helpful in that he held my arm and assisted me through many parts to allow me to continue. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and the experience. Thank you Hazim and Abdul.
Easy fun way to see the city!! At first my tickets wouldn’t download but the local support staff on the ground and the Viator staff were just so fast to respond that I had them in no time!
We have used Hopon Hopoff buses all over the world but this is the 2nd time we have had an issue with Viator vouchers; finally got it resolved but it's a pain! My only other issue is they made us change buses, losing our seats, in an effort to keep their buses as full as possible. Otherwise good service, on time and decent commentary.
Absolutely the best way to see the city on your own! We have done this in multiple cities and love this company!
I accidentally booked the wrong date, sent an email to the provider BEFORE i left home and asked th to change the date. I did not hear from them till nearly one week later and they refused to help me.
What a rip off. More than $30 US and it goes around the outside of the city, turns around and comes back the same way. It didn't bring us back to the staring point and we had to take a taxi home! Horrible experience.
Was on a cruise ship. Port was canceled. Messaged tour operator to ask if a refund was possible. Received no response. Even if a refund was not possible would have appreciated a response.
The Hop on hop off is a great way to see Cadiz. Info provided was clear and interesting. Would recommend this one!
Easy access from the cruise port. Good tour of key points around Cadiz. Enough on/off stops to make it worthwhile. Worth the cost.
Hop on hop off are the best way to see the sites. So easy to just jump off, walk around, then jump back on. We did them throughout Europe and always enjoyed our time and never had to feel rushed as you explored at your leisure.
It's a quick and simple easy to explore the city with limited time in port. The frequency of buses certainly helps.
Unfortunately the cruise ship would not print our tickets for us out and could not get Internet on phone when showing bus company saying had paid and confirmed .In the end had to purchase another lot. Not a good start.
Not much to see. Better to walk this route. Just another tourist trap. Little time to take pictures and views from bus do not do justice to scenery.
We took the hop-on, hop-off bus around town, then walked downtown to join all the revellers celebrating Carnival. This was probably the best day of the year to visit Cadiz.
Lovely tour around the city. Plenty of central stops and the views from the top of the bus are great.
From where we were staying this bus was amazing. It takes you into the old town with lots of drop off and pick up places. The app was exceptional too as you could navigate your way through Cadiz with it and it gave accurate times and places to pick up the bus. My ticket price also saved us some money on entry to the Cathedral.
Arrived onboard Iona yesterday & saw the bus parked in port. We hadn’t enjoyed the trip in Las Palmas but as we had pre purchased tickets from P&O we decided to use them. All staff were nice & knowledgeable and we boarded at stop no1. When you arrive by ship, you never know which direction to walk in. But we sat on the bus for the whole hour & listened to a good quality interesting commentary all about Cadiz. Overall much better than the last experience. Afterwards we got off & wandered through all the narrow streets. And left on the ship at 5pm,sat on the balcony researching how to have a week in Cadiz as we were so impressed with the place👍😍
Great way to see Cadiz in a short time. Even though it was off season we still managed to get some shopping. The pickup location was as very convenient, right next to the NCL terminal.
