I always return to this beautiful and atmospheric hotel with great pleasure. The place is exceptionally clean, with outstanding cuisine and excellent service. The preserved original medieval character of this historic residence is truly breathtaking and creates a unique, unforgettable atmosphere.

This is a beautiful place to stay for a few days. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're stepping into something special with the bright reception area. We were upgraded for our stay and the bedroom was elegant and extremely comfortable, as was the lounge area. The bathroom was a nice size. Breakfast was a real treat in a lovely setting. On our second morning we had to leave before breakfast started so the chef prepared a great packed breakfast for us to take with us. The small gardens are nicely kept and there is a small patio area. Unfortunately there was a strong odor of stale pipes whenever we walked into the room. Hopefully, it was just our room, but the age of the building may be a contributing factor. Management really needs to investigate this as I'm sure most people would complain about it and it's not in keeping with the high standard of this hotel. They have an adjoining carpark. I appreciate they run this as a public carpark, but considering the location and the cost of the room, they could offer this to guests for free as the carpark never had many cars in it. There aren't any restaurants in the immediate vicinity. Would definitely chose to stay here again if in the area.
This hotel is absolutely stunning and full of history. It has been tastefully decorated throughout and is spotlessly clean. The location is convenient and easy to access, with on-site parking available (for a fee), and it’s just a short walk into the old town. The staff member who greeted us at check-in (I believe her name was Paloma—apologies if that’s incorrect!) was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the whole process smooth and hassle-free. We were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a suite, which made our stay even more special. The bedroom featured a very comfortable bed with high-quality linens and pillows. There was plenty of wardrobe space, a large TV, and an impressive number of electrical sockets, something not always guaranteed in older buildings. The bathroom was spacious, with a bath, separate shower, and double sinks. The toiletries provided were also of excellent quality. The living area included a comfortable sofa and another large TV. There was also a well-stocked minibar, along with a Nespresso machine and kettle, which added a nice touch. The gardens and pool area are lovely, and I imagine they’ll be even more beautiful as summer approaches. We didn’t try the on-site restaurant, but it does offer both breakfast and dinner (availability may vary depending on the season). We would absolutely stay here again.
I have been fortunate to travel a lot of Europe the last few years by motorbike. This hotel and experience is one of my favourites. The welcome at check in, the room, the service and to top it off one of my favourite dinners. The beef main and trio of chocolate dessert. 10/10. I have altered plans to stay a 2nd night. 👌
Old, dated decor and cold, dingy rooms (ground floor, bars on windows, facing outside street)... Disappointing! Not sure this places has seen renovation since... ?!? Breakfast however, good and service attentive and kind.
