Wonderful location in a beautiful area of Spain. The accommodation is perfect for a getaway, with very friendly personnel. We loved the pool area. The restaurant is particularly good with a lot of local dishes, ingredients and wines. We now stay here for the third time over the last years and we could definitely recommend this.
We absolutely loved our stay at Hospes Palacio de Arenales. The hotel is elegant, peaceful and the perfect place to relax. The rooms are very comfortable, the gardens are beautifully maintained, and every member of the staff was warm, welcoming and professional. We travelled with our two dogs and were delighted to find a small welcome gift waiting for them in our room. It was such a thoughtful touch and showed genuine care for four-legged guests. If we had to mention just two minor points, the first would be the scrambled eggs at breakfast. They were freshly prepared, but simply not to our personal taste—it was purely a matter of cooking style and preference. The second is the €40 fee per dog, which we felt was a little on the expensive side. Other than that, everything was outstanding. We had a wonderful stay, highly recommend this hotel, and will definitely be back!
Lovely hotel, fabulous spa, food was wonderful. Well situated, just off the motorway and an ideal stop on our drive from Santander to our home in the Eastern Algarve.
It's good for the value, but seems more like a 4 stars. The building is beautiful, great spa, and nice gym. It's outside the town, in a calm place near the road. The room and bathroom I stayed were outdated and had strong smell of cleaning products.
My wife and I stayed here over the weekend and had a fantastic experience. Our room was spacious with a lovely view of the pool, the spa was wonderfully relaxing, and we were so happy the swimming pool was open and warm enough to use! Even the gym looked great — I just wish I’d brought my workout clothes. The restaurant was the real highlight. The manager was friendly, made excellent wine recommendations, and made us feel really welcome. The food was absolutely delicious — big thanks to the kitchen team! Breakfast was also excellent, with a great selection and lovely, attentive staff. Special thanks to the lady who greeted us each morning with such a warm smile. Overall, everything about our stay was outstanding. We’ll definitely be back — highly recommended!
