We had a great time on our private tour. If you wanted to see all of Busan in one day, this would be the way to do it. Feels like you have a local friend to show you around the city.

Yonggungsa is a Buddhist temple built in 1376, but was reconstructed in 1970 since it was once destroyed by Japanese invasion. You will see Yongwangdang Shrine where like any other temples, the pattern details are just beautiful.
Busan Haeundae Traditional Market is a popular attraction most often visited during vacation seasons due to the fact that it is conveniently located near Haeundae Beach. There are many things to see and buy as well as much to eat as the market offers a wide range of products for sale. Fresh vegetables, meat and seafood are available at low prices as well. You will have lunch at Haeundae Market.
The UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea honors UN soldiers from 16 countries and UN aids from five countries that were killed in battle during the Korean War from 1950-1953. This serene park spreads across a grassy plain area of 135,000 square meters. Some notable sites and memorials include: Memorial Service Hall, Memorabilia Hall, two Turkish Monuments, Greek Monument, Australian Monument, British Common Wealth Monument and two ponds. The Memorial Service Hall and the Memorabilia Hall were constructed in 1964 and 1968 respectively. The citizens of Busan dedicated the Main Gate in 1966. There are many annual events held here such as April’s Tributary Ceremony of the Veterans of the Korean War, May’s American Memorial Day, June’s Korean Memorial Day, and October’s UN Ceremony Day.
Gamcheon Culture Villiage is formed by houses built in staircase-fashion on the foothills of a coastal mountain, earning this village the nickname "Machu Picchu of Busan." Many alleys that cut through this community are vibrantly decorated with murals and sculptures created by the residents.
It literally towers over Busan and to see it up close in a relaxing park ambiance, makes visiting this icon more enjoyable for visitors.
Yongdusan Park offers not just sights and attractions to see, but an opportunity to appreciate big open spaces for visitors not just to enjoy urban outdoors in Busan. With 70 species of trees and flowers, it is a great area to relax and enjoy downtime exploring the city. Here are some things you can see at Yongdusan park as follows: Statue of Yi Sun-sin (a 16th century naval hero), Bronze dragon figure, Museum of World Folk Instruments, Korean Traditional Bell Flower Clock, Locks of Love and Artificial waterfall
Are you interested in Busan’s modern district? Then hit BIFF Square. There are events such as hand printing of movie celebrities and Nunggot Jeomdeung(snow- flower lighting). You can have some street food here.

Our 3.5 day tour of Busan and Oedo botanical island was absolutely wonderful. It was made special given our guide Luke was informative, accommodating, personable and fun! We appreciated his knowledge of history and his sharing about society and life in Korea. All of his restaurant recommendations were 5 stars. We also requested and he fit in a visit to Busan’s museum on Japan’s occupation of Korea - which we would say is a must see! Thank you Luke. Hoping that he visits an African animal reserve and sends us a picture.
We had a great private tour with Luke. He communicated with us well for pick up and adjusted the itinerary to our interests and what was possible and realistic given the weather (it was raining in the AM). We were definitely able to see much more in 1 day than we would have on our own. Having a private car with AC was a major benefit since the weather was warm and humid. Luke provided us with useful information and insight into the locals’ way of life.
We had a private tour of the city of Busan with JS. He tailored the tour to our needs and gave us excellent recommendations. He showed us all the great spots and hidden gems about which we would, otherwise, have never known. Since he is a native of Busan, he was a big wealth of information. He was very personable and friendly and an excellent communicator, and we really enjoyed getting to know him. . He was also very patient with us and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied. He was a very good friend to us throughout the day. I hope we get an opportunity to go back to Busan and do a tour aggain with JS again.
We had a wonderful experience with our tour guide, Julia. As a Busan native, she brought a genuine local perspective to our trip and shared insights that made our experience much more meaningful and authentic. Julia was incredibly responsive, responsible, and easy-going throughout our time together. She was flexible with our plans, listened carefully to our requests, and tailored the itinerary to suit our interests. Nothing ever felt rushed, and she always made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. One of the highlights was her fantastic local food recommendations. Thanks to her local knowledge, we enjoyed some excellent Busan specialties and hidden gems that we would never have discovered on our own. Warm, friendly, and professional, Julia made exploring Busan both enjoyable and effortless. Her passion for her hometown truly shines through, and it made a big difference to our experience. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Busan and looking for a knowledgeable, accommodating, and personable guide. Thank you, Julia, for making our trip so memorable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Mina is an excellent tour person. She’s very knowledgeable guide that can explain in a plain English. We would recommend her for our friends and family for the future tour.
Had a great experience with tour guide Danny, full day of great adventures. Great conversasionalist and top notch photographer skills really made this a trip to remember.
We had an amazing time visiting the sights of Busan with our guide Paul. He was very knowledgeable and offered us great advice for our stay in Busan. We really enjoyed the experience and would recommend it to anyone visiting Busan and wanting to see a great deal in just a day.
Exceptional, beyond words! Highly recommended to anyone interested in seeing the gems of Busan based on personal interests, at your desired pace. Luke was fantastic! He is the best guide we ever had the chance to learn from on our tours in many countries! Very knowledgeable, respecful, patient, and friendly! Fantastic experience in an exceptional place!
Okay, I have not yet been cursed out by a tour provider for a bad review before. Typically, they're professionals and both sides move on. But, in this case, the tour company reached out and actually cursed me out and wished me bad luck while in Korea! I'm a bit scared of this person as they sound unhinged on the email screenshot. This was after asking for a customization which they sounded like they offered (and instead, they requested a price hike so that we book 6 tickets for a 2-person custom tour to cover for TripAdvisor costs). Are they truly a licensed provider? I'm surprised that Korea travel officials would train their tour providers in this way. What an unpleasant interaction...
We had a fantastic day in Busan, we went to a temple, rode the sky capsule and the Air cruise, went to the bamboo forest, walked on a skywalk and had lunch. Our tour guide, Kay, was amazing. She told lots of interesting stories, provided relevant information about the places we left. She went above and beyond running late so we could do all the activities we wanted to. I highly recommend her and the tour.
I had a great 8 days South Korea tour on 17/4-24/4/25.Beside Korea beautiful sceneries, friendly people, nice hotels, great food most importantly we had a great Korean tour guide Mr Stephen Lee. Mr Stephen Lee is a very responsible and approachable Korean tour guide, he always answered our enquiry in a comfortable manner and treated us as his friends. Throughout the whole journey, Stephen shared with us his knowledge of Korea history, food, drama and songs (Stephen can sing very well). We were having laughter's all the time with Stephen around and he made us really happy and enjoyed our trips. Besides the joy Stephen gave us, he also made sure that everyone of us are safe by sending us back to the hotel. I feel very happy and lucky to have Stephen as our Korean tour guide and will request Stephen as our Korean tour guide in future when we visit south Korea again.
HyoungHwa was excellent! She provided helpful suggestions on what to see since we had been to Busan before. She's also a foodie so we tried several local delicacies at a local market without other tourists. Super fun day!
We had an incredible one-day private tour in Busan, and it was all thanks to our amazing tour guide, Luke! He speaks excellent English, which made communication easy and enjoyable. Luke was incredibly accommodating and allowed us to fully customize the itinerary to suit our interests. We loved having the flexibility to spend as much time as we wanted at each site. His knowledge of the area and friendly personality made the entire experience even more memorable. We had such a good time exploring Busan—thank you so much, Luke! Highly recommend!
Our local guide Paul made this personalised tour for just my wife and myself a fabulous day of learning , humour and appreciation for our first visit to this dynamic , modern South Korean metropolis .From being picked up at the cruise terminal to cooking our delicious Korean bbq lunch at our table , nothing was too much trouble for Paul as we gained great insights into Korean history , culture and cuisines . By the time he dropped us back at the cruise terminal we felt we had made a genuine Korean friend and we wish him and his lovely bride all the best for their upcoming wedding and honeymoon in our home country Australia …10 out of 5 if we could mark this wonderful day tour higher . 😀Warmest regards Sheree and Paul
Our tour with Kassy was fantastic. She was knowledgeable and accommodating to our likes. Thanks for being so flexible and making our trip so much fun.
Kassy our guide was incredible. Very knowledgeable and had a nice flow through the whole day. She gets our highest recommend.
Kassy was very helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and genuine. She made our tour very efficient, suggested lots of photo spots (not for Instagram, for long memories of Busan!) and took a bunch of our family photos - really good. It was our pleasure to be with her today!
Love that the tour operator (Alicia) reached out in advance and provided another list of possible places to go for our itinerary! We had 2 senior citizens in our party so we actually wanted to do less stops and take more time at each of our requested stops. Kassy was our tour guide who was briefed by Alicia as soon as she received our preferred itinerary. Kassy reached out the day before and assisted us in purchasing our tickets and followed our request to not rush the seniors in our party. She even helped take them up and down any stairs they encountered! She also made sure to show us where any elevators were if stairs could be avoided. Also, kudos to our driver for pulling up closer to the curb so that our seniors could better get to the curb! At the end of the trip, we were reluctant to leave Kassy. The 9 hours we had with her flew by too fast. We will definitely book this tour again (and hopefully get Kassy!) if we ever return to Busan!
This was an amazing tour! Our guide, Kassy was not only very knowledgeable but also very friendly and attentive to all our needs. Kassy is passionate about her city, and that really transpired during the tour. She made every stop very interesting for all members of our family (ages from 9 to 80 yrs old!). We absolutely loved our day in Busan and we recommend this tour to any group who would like to see and learn about Busan on a limited time frame.
Had an amazing day in Busan. Min, our tour guide was incredible. She’s very knowledgeable and personable. She made the short time we had available into a wonderful trip with memories that will last a life time. Left us looking forward to a return to this city and country and spend more time. We visited the following places and recommend each one of them. Haedong Yonggungsa Temple Ahopsan Forest Gamcheon Cukture Village
Our tour was very lovely. We learned so much about the culture and traditions from the sea temple. We also really liked the sky capsule ride. Our tour guide, Kevin Anderson, knew the area very well and even suggested us a great coffee shop. He was great about being flexible when my family got tired and we all had a great time!!
We had a wonderful time with Kay our private guide in Busan. She was very knowledgeable and accommodating and helped us have a very special experience. Our son wanted to try a lot of unique Korean cuisine and she helped us track down all of it. Her car was very nice and well air-conditioned. It was great to have a local with us who could speak the language, help answer all of our questions, and take our photos! Haedong Yonggungsa Temple was so beautiful, Gamcheon cultural village was such a fun area to explore eat, and shop, And eating with a local at the fish market was amazing! Thank you Kay for such an amazing experience!
We had the absolute best time. Our tour guide Alicia was amazing. Knowledgeable and extremely helpful. It is the only way to see Busan if you have limited time. Our driver was patient and very good at navigating even the busiest roads. It's the only way to do Busan. Don't go it yourself if you have a limited time or people with limited mobility in your group. We saw so much with the time we had. Thank you for the best trip of our tour!
We enjoyed the fish market. We also went to an excellent restaurant for lunch. Our guide Jeong hwoa Baek (Jenny) was delightful. Very enthusiastic, she took a lot of great pictures of our family at our various stops.
Had an awesome tour with Paul ! Highly recommend was a locals guide to a beautiful city!! If you’re lucky enough to have Paul as your guide you won’t be disappointed! Food, sights and company 5 stars
Tour was good and guide was able to provide information and well communicated in English… Great trip
Vivian was wonderful. Nice clean vehicle. Good driver. Would recommend using this service for a good tour.
My tour was fantastic. Kevin kept me informed and comfortable for the entire day taking me to all of the locations I wanted. He also picked a great Korean Retaurant for lunch. He kept the mood high even though it was pouring down rain. I couldn't have asked for a better guide.
Our tour of Busan was one of the highlights of a Japan Cruise thanks to our guide, Mini and Moon, our driver! They were very creative in providing us a “locals” oriented tour. So much fun!!
Our guide Minh (Ms Lee) was delightful. She navigated the crowds at Haedong Yonggung Temple including Life of Buddah panels on the main shrine; booked ride on Blue Train at beach; took us to fantastic seafood/barbecue lunch, and guided us through back pathways at Gamcheon Culture Village.
The fish market was amazing Shrine with the Bayview, most beautiful shrine in Korea. Downtown Busan was very interesting Did diamond bridge was very interesting
Excellent tour, fully customised to what we wanted to see plus some places our guide, Min, wanted to take us, including an excellent Korean feast. Min was superb - very knowledgeable and eager to ensure we left Busan with many happy memories…and we did!
Our tour guide Jones was very courteous and professional. He was responsive to what we wanted to see. It was raining and he had umbrellas which was much appreciated. Enjoyed the tour
We have done quite a few private Viator tours. This was the best yet! Jones speaks perfect English. He started the day by working with us on an itinerary. Then took us to the places we discussed. He was shockingly knowledgeable about each and every place we went, providing just the right amount of commentary without droning on too long. Very polite. Great day. Highly recommend!
Our guide Bonita was excellent and very enthusiastic. The "local" tour and explanation of the Gamcheon Culture Village district was brilliant followed by the visit to the amazing Haedong Yonggungsa Buddhist temple by the sea and finishing at the Busan tower for an great view point of the city.
Harry, who organised our itinerary, was extremely helpful and responsive throughout our travels. Our tour guide Kevin was very helpful and accommodating throughout the three day private Gyeongju/Busan tour. Although we were not able to complete all the items on our itinerary due to wet weather/time constraints, Kevin helped us to maximise our time in Busan and Gyeongju. He was very considerate and flexible with adjusting/adapting our itinerary when needed as we were travelling with an 85 year old senior citizen. Thank you HereKorea! :)
My sister and I had the most Amazing day in Busan with our wonderful tour guide Mr Arthur Yun. This was a customised tour and Mr Yun was super organised and made sure we made the most of our time in Busan. It was a stunning day, stunning sights which were made extra special with Mr Yun’s clear explanations and special touches like giving us Korean snack pack to enjoy! The Korean bbq lunch was exquisite and memorable with really lovely staff too. He took us to a couple of extra sites in addition to what we asked for which was super nice. His driving was impeccable. We are so grateful to Mr Yun for making our time in Busan unforgettable. He is also an excellent photographer! We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone going to Busan.
Our local guide Jay picked up the four of us right on time at the Busan cruise terminal in a large and comfortable MPV. We drove across the long bay bridge twice allowing us a great view of our ship and the scenery. First destination was Haedong Yonggungsa temple giving us a good impression of the complex which was very busy due to the new years holiday and it being a Sunday. Visit to the Gamcheon culture Village gave a good view of the location and the local folklore. Had great coffee on a splendid location with view on the village. Lunch consisted of a typical Korean BBQ which was a special experience since the method of on table roasting was new to us. Tour concluded by a visit to the city center of Busan offering an opportunity for local shopping at the BIFF district. In all we think Jay is an expert local guide showing the right things. Her tempo is not to everybody’s liking since tourists tend to stop at shops and need foto ops. Maybe an occasional look in the rearview mirror would help. Had a great day and saw a lot of Busan and got an impression of Korea in general. Thank you Jay!
Our guide, Miami, was punctual in both picking us up and getting us back to the ship. My cousin and i both have mobility issues, I use a foldable walker, which Mimi brought in and out of the trunk for me. Her driving was excellent, and being a Busan native she knew all the short cuts around the city to avoid traffic, which allowed us to see nearly every area of the city in our allotted time. She arranged the order of our tour choices so that we got to them either before or after all of the big tour busses. Mimi was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. She made our day a delight.
Kassy was the perfect guide and kept us on schedule. Busan is a beautiful city. Thank you Kassy for a great day
Mina was the best! She was knowledgeable and so friendly. I was traveling with my parents who are in the 80’s. Mina always walked holding my mother’s hand making sure that she was able to see all the sights despite her (my mother’s) inability to walk well. Mina brought us snacks and waters to make us feel at home. She brought us to many sights but did not rush us even though we had to be back on our ship by 230. Mina’s English is perfect. While she is from South Korea she lived in London and the United States so she is easy to understand. Mina is a wonderful host! You will not be disappointed.
Here Korea.. and their fabulous guide Mimi and get driver, gave us an action packed day with all the highlights of Busan. She personalized the day for certain things that some in our group of 8 wanted... like seeing the cherry blossoms and eating at a Korean barbecue. There has been a little mix up with one of the things we were supposed to do and Mimi immediately offered an alternative which would have cost us more if we had asked but because of the mix up, Mimi immediately bought the tickets and took care of everything. Mimi is charming and interesting and quite knowledgeable. She answered our numerous questions about everything from religion to food to the Korean language and alphabet. I highly recommend her as a guide.
This was an amazing tour. We saw so many things that the day flew by. In just one day I feel we saw a good bit of Busan. Mimi was an amazing guide. She listened to our requests and she explained each location.
Our private tour in Busan, Korea, was superb. We were greeted at the port by Mr. Dylan Lee in a van that was new and easily held our party of six. We placed two conditions on Dylan. We wanted a BBQ Korean lunch and be back to the Celebrity Millennium by 3 p.m. He told us that was possible, but unless we were quick, he wouldn’t be able to get in all that he had planned for us. We then proceeded to cover 3 of the ship’s excursions without feeling rushed. Mr. Lee was knowledgeable, friendly, cooperative, energetic, and just plain fun. His English was excellent. We visited the Beomeosa Temple, the Busan Tower, the Jagaichi Fish Market, the Gamcheon Cultural Village, the Skywalk and fit in a delicious Korean BBQ luncheon at a wonderful local restaurant. We returned to the ship a few minutes after 3. Thank you so very much for a great time for the six of us. We learned much about your country and all the sites were so very interesting and beautiful.
Arrived on the Celebrity Millennium. Tried to avoid the canned group trips offered by the Cruise Lines. Found an offering through Trip Advisor. Our guide, Mr. Dylan Kim was outstanding. His command of the English language was excellent. His insights to the history and lifestyle of his people was very helpful in understanding the people and their country. Took us to sites, as requested, not on the usual tourist traps. We requested a traditional Korean BBQ for lunch. Wow----outstanding!!! It was a wonderful meal cooked and served at our table. The fish market and other cultural landmarks were great thanks to our guide.
Hayden was so great. He really made our time in Busan special. He has an amazing knack of giving you the history of the area, making it interesting, very fun!!!. We had him pick us up at the Busan Cruise Terminal and give us a day tour of the areas. He went places would have never seen on a big tourist bus. Thank you Hayden
We booked this tour as an option to the ship’s offering. I needed a non-strenuous manageable trip. Our lovely smiling guide Lada arrived exactly at 8am as planned, despite the change in the ship’s planned schedule. We had a wonderful trip, took in all the highlights of Buscan, a day delicious authentic Buscan meal i(Bibinbap). It was raining all day but we had an enjoyable time. We felt well looked after by Lada. All our needs for the tour were met.....and lots of pictures from Lada afterwards. The trip of itself was cheaper than the ship’s offering and catered for our individual needs. I would recommend this operator very highly.
Despite the rain and wind, we had a wonderful day seeing the beautiful and modern city of Busan. Our tour guide, Nami, was very professional and personable. She was very enthusiastic and provided a wealth of information regarding the sites and local culture and adapted the tour to our specific wants as we went. We enjoyed a traditional Korean lunch which was fabulous. I would highly recommend this tour!!!!
Adella was our guide for a rainy day in Busan. We were traveling with elderly parents and needed to adjust our itinerary due to the weather. She worked with us to maximize our sight seeing while dealing with the pouring rain. Adella is very knowledgable about the city and shared a lot about Korean culture as well. We were able to see much of our planned itinerary, some additional indoor locations and also have a wonderful traditional Korean lunch at a very nice restaurant that Adella recommended. She even joined us for lunch, helping us order and explaining the various dishes. While many people we spoke with had to shorten their day of touring due to the weather, we had a full day that exceeded our expectations. Touring with Adella is like visiting a city with a close friend or family member and we give her the highest recommendation. We will certainly call her when our travels bring us back to Korea.
