Jesse made our group feel like our tour experience was unique to us. He is very knowledgeable and was genuinely interested in each of our interests. I needed to use a wheelchair that he helped push while still giving equal attention to everyone else. Jesse is so friendly and works extremely hard.
Comfortable van, on time pickup, runs on schedule, good and enthusiastic photographer/driver/ guide all in one. Can’t ask for more
Jesse was a very warm and professional guide. Owing to circumstances beyond his control (poor weather) the tour was cut very short after a vote from the 6-person group. He was very understanding and issued full refunds to us and was very flexible in dropping us off at a different location. The only concern we had was that another couple on the 6-person tour brought along their very young toddler for the 11-hour duration excursion and did not have a car seat. The child sat unrestrained on a parent’s lap in the front seat of the van. From a safety standpoint, and out of consideration for the other guests on the tour, this could have been addressed differently. Jesse was in a tough spot, though, and we don’t know whether he knew about the child ahead of time.
Jesse is a professional photographer and took great photos including Korean style “couples “ photos which was fun.He took us to a great restaurant for lunch -I recommend option 5 which was Bibimbap restaurant It was great to get out in countryside with friendly company Jesse is open to suggestion for customising time spent at locations etc
We had a fabulous day with Jesse. The sights we visited were impactful, especially the all lit up Wooji Pond in the evening. Jesse was very patient with our group, and posed us for pictures at some very scenic spots. We would highly recommend this tour.
We attended a small group photo tour with Jesse. He took us on a tour of Gyeongju, outlining the history of the area. Jesse is a great photographer who tweaked his subjects (us) to make sure we presented our best face(s) forward. He knew just the right spots to take the best pictures for my memories of my first visit to Korea since leaving for the US in 1962. We had a small group, and Jesse made sure he looked out for each of us. He was very well organized and knowledgeable for the Gyeongju itinerary. I love flowers and he even took us to the Milllenium Forest Garden … a real treat!
Jesse was a terrific guide, he was very knowledgeable regarding the sites and the period in history. He was very personable and polite it was a pleasure to be there with him. He recommended the most amazing restaurant for lunch, not expensive either.
Was a great way to see the sights in Gyeongju and have some beautiful photos taken . Jessie was a super guide -we had a group of 3 which was also wonderful as it really allowed us an intimate experience. He really leaned in to what the customers were interested in spending more time doing . That is a sign of a great tour guide! Jessie also provided great restaurant recommendations for our time in Busan.
Great tour from comms, commentary to the van being comfy. We had never done a photography tour - it was a fun having someone take photos as you wonder around the sites and also commentary. Jesse was great informative and accomodating. We were lucky enough to see the king cherry blossom 🌸 Excellent lunch recommendation. We got the photos same day. It was a long day so be prepared for that. Highly recommend as best way to see Gyeongju.
I really enjoyed Jesse’s tour! We had a great day out, and we saw a lot in the area. And he took a variety of fantastic photos!!
David was a delightful guide to all the significant sights around Gyeongju-si which we shared with just one other traveller. He took a heap of pics and provided a lot of context and insight into the sights we visited.
What an absolute treat this tour was!!! David is such a pro!! Both as a tour guide and as a photographer. Creating a relaxed and fun environment to turn us all into great models ;) The fact that it is such a small group makes it a super personal experience. Well worth spending the little extra money to get this unique experience. Thank you Triends!!
David was a great guide. He was funny, friendly, and informative. He took lots of great (and some silly) photos throughout the trip. Our favorite stop was the last one- the palace at night. My only suggestion would be more options for lunch— maybe a street with restaurants for people to choose from. The choices at the restaurant we went to were pretty limited.
Really fun tour! The guide and his wife are both so pleasant. The guide has a breadth of knowledge on Gyeongju’s history and shared some really fascinating facts. His photography skills are really impressive, the turnaround time was quick, and the photos I received were great. We hit all the key sites in Gyeongju (which would not have been possible by bus as a day trip from Busan had I not gone on the tour). Definitely recommend!
Wonderful all-day tour, saw so much - a great day with a great tour operator who shared his knowledge
Our tour guide JN took me and my family in a group of 5 on a day trip of Gyeongju. We visited several UNESCO listed sites including the Seokguram Grotto and Cheonmachong Tomb. JN was knowledgeable, friendly, and left ample time for me to take pictures of Gyeonju’s spectacular scenery! We had a great day 👍!
Excellent tour. Reasonably priced. Jay the tour guide provided excellent service. I would definitely recommend this tour.
It rained on the one day we booked a tour on our 5-day trip to Busan, but everything was manageable. Gyeongju was a very pleasant surprise! The cultural, historical and artistic content of this destination is amazing! I am usually a DIY type traveler but for this place, I'd say, go with the expert! Jesse was very good at explaining what happened in the area and how Korea came to be. There is still so much of Busan left to discover and understand and we look forward to future visits. We highly recommend Gyeongju and we highly recommend visiting it with Triends!
My friend and I did this trip last week and had the best time! We showed up the morning of and were greeted by our amazing guide, Jay, who told us that we were the only two for that day, so we were lucky enough to have the trip to ourselves. Major props to Jay; he kept us informed at every stage, letting us know before each leg where we were going and how long it would take. He shared so much knowledge of each location, and also answered any questions we had. With just the two of us on the trip, things didn't take quite as long as they normally do on a group trip, so Jay made sure we got the most out of our time, and even took us to an amazing coffee shop where we had the best coffee we had ever tasted. Jay took us to a great place for lunch, too, that did a super modern bibimbap with avocado (which went over very well with two Aussies). We did this trip as a day-trip during our longer stay in Busan, and I had considered trying to hit all the stops on our own using public transport. If you're considering this trip, absolutely book it! There's no way we could have gotten everywhere on the itinerary in one day on our own and we wouldn't have gotten all of Jay's great knowledge along with it. This day was one of the best of our two weeks in Korea. Highly recommend!
Very well knowledgeable and interesting guide! Keen to learn unfamiliar phrases and patient. Thanks so much for the great experience!
It turns out it was just our family of 3, so it was nice. Our guide's English wasn't as good as I expected; so it was a bit hard to understand, and he didn't give much history background. He was more of a private driver driving us around different sites. I was a bit disappointed. I was on a similar tour before from another guy from Aju tour, and he was really good. He also smoked when he was waiting for us to look around Bulguksa and Anapji, so the car ride back to Busan wasn't pleasant.
Great day out. Very thorough and everything well explained. Worth every minute and such fun for a long day. Sites were brilliant and guide was awesome.
Although it was raining heavily, we started the tour to Gyeongju. Our tourguide ,who spoke fluent English, explained in a really interesting and understandable way including all historical aspects. I would highly recommend this tour.It is well organized and carried out in a sympatic way. If I return to Busan I would definetly book the same tour again , hoping to see all these nice places and sites in sunshine .
This tour is perfect for small groups and as an one day tour to Gyeongju. Our guide Jesse was super friendly, funny and very knowledgeable. His English is great and the way he delivered information was very entertainy too. We were given enough free time at each stop to also discover by ourselves. Highly recommend this tour option for everyone staying Busan if you want to experince the essence of Gyeongju in just one day without spending a night in Gyeongju.
Great insights tour of Gyeongju. The tour is as described: small group, comfortable van, amazing guide, beautiful and interesting sites, and delicious buffet lunch. Totally recommended!!
Booked a tour but cancelled last Minuite with an email. This is Totally unacceptable. My card is already charged. :-( ruined our trip. Avoid booking this tour guide.
This is a full day tour covering 6 places of interest at a leisurely pace. Jesse is our guide and driver. In our opinion, not all the places we visited are interesting - 1. Seokguram Grotto - it is just a single craved Buddha protected by glass panel. No photography is allowed and you have to view through the glass panel. You probably spent more time walking up to the temple than the time taken to view the grotto. 4.5/10 2. Bulguksa Temple - just few minutes drive away we reached Bulguksa Temple. Jesse provided the history and we were given an hour to explore the Temple ground on our own. The temple ground is not that big. At leisurely pace, you probably can cover it within 40 mins. This site is probably the best of the lot. 7/10 3. Gyeongju Gyochon Traditional Village - the interesting part is crossing the river to view the Woljeonggyo Bridge. This colorful bridge has nice architectural design. The traditional village itself is not that interesting. 5/10 4. Daereungwon Royal Tomb - tomb in a form of mole hill. It is like a walk in a park surrounded by mole hills. 4/10 5. Cheomseongdae Observatory - this pinkish brick tower is just 5 min walk from the mole hill. It does not look like an Observatory. The garden next to the Observatory has good photo spots. 5.5/10 6. Anapji Pond - this place is a 5 min drive away from the Observatory. By the time we reached this place, it was already dark. We were given an hour on own to explore. We probably done it in 30 mins. This place would have been more interesting if we could arrive between 20-30 mins before sunset. 4.5/10. Overall we enjoyed the delicious lunch and tour but not all the places of interest. As a suggestion, Jesse could have used a headset speaker to brief us of the places of interest during the long journey in the van.
Awesome trip. Jun was very knowledgeable and I appreciated that I didn’t feel rushed going to all of the different sites. Definitely recommend!
The tour was a very interesting day-tour. Our guide Jay gave us an unforgettable day as he gave us stories and history facts that made all stops very living and interesting. A guide who can answer all kinds of questions and tell various stories really give you the little extra. It was a long trip, so I think it could start one hour earlier.
We had a fun experience with Jesse and coincidentally we had already met in a previous activity not knowing we'd be the guide-travellers combination in the future. There were only us 2 for the tour that day but I'd warmly recommend this experience even if it's just you and your friend, or the max 7 people. You learn a lot of new information even if you already have some knowledge of Korea and Korean's history - at least I did! The pace of the tour is wonderful, you have just enough time to stroll around, take pictures but not so much that you'd have to figure out how to spend that time. You get to see A LOT of Gyeongju and I must admit I dozed off in the van driving back ;) the day is long but worth it. It does include a fair bit of walking so wear comfy shoes and clothing.
We really enjoyed this tour and had a great time. Our guide Jun was helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and speaks fluent English. He often engaged us with small talk to help us feel comfortable and kindly took our pictures throughout the journey. We get to relax while visiting the many beautiful and interesting places. The Korean buffet lunch was nice and delicious. Although it was rainy at times, we had an amazing day and highly recommend this tour. Thanks Jun! :)
What a nice trip. Totally worth the money. The only one I found which included all 5 highlights. Absolutely to recommend.
We really had an amazing guide Jay. He knew a lot of things, outside the tour. He was funny, we had a great time. He gave us time to visit everything , we did not have to hurry. Adventice off small group. All the things we saw where whorth it. Nice history. My father is 80 years and he enjoyed the tour and guide. Untill now favorite guide. Must see tour !!!
A great tour in the sights of Gyeongju!! Jun was an amazing guide, he assisted us in everything and also gave us interesting explanation while we were visiting the different site attractions. The tour is as described: small group, very comfortable van for long rides, beautiful and interesting visited sites, delicious lunch in a real Korean location. It was a long day: last visited site was the Wolji Pond after the sunset, but it worth it for the special atmosphere and also for taking beautiful pictures. It was quote a full day but very satisfying. We super reccomanded the tour!! Sara & Family
If you're interested in the sights of Gyeongju and have the day, this is the way to go. Jesse was amazing and the whole tour was great. The tour left on time and was a small group as promised. The van was comfortable for the longer rides. Jesse was full of history and information about each site we went to and went above and beyond to ensure everyone on the tour enjoyed themselves and got to see everything. He took extra steps for those who needed assistance and was an amicable conversationalist. We made it to each spot as promised and had a personalized tour throughout the day. He picked a fantastic place to have lunch and made sure everything translated so we could enjoy the meal. It was a long day, but well worth it. There was so much fit into one day, it was amazing. Well worth the money.
Tour was very comprehensive, covered many interesting places, especially liked the Bulguksa Temple & the Royal Tomb Garden. The Silla Palace garden light up was great too. Our guide Jesse was knowledgeable, friendly & very helpful. I would recommend this tour to everyone.
It was a pleasant journey trip from Busan to Gueongju. Our driver cum guide, JUN was very responsible and ensure our trip is relax and enjoyable. Will recommend this to friends if they visit Busan. Thanks
The day was quite long but it was worth it. Our guide was excellent. He explained and showed us a lot and was always there for a question or sometimes to take a photo. It very nice tour and with just the right group size. That's all it should be:-)
