Ramada Encore By Wyndham Haeundae

Horrible. Worst hotel i’ve ever been in I wish I could give it no stars but that’s not an option so one star it is. I do not recommend at all. The staff are very unfriendly and very unprofessional. They are rude and when asking a question they snap back at you and glare and roll their eyes. I understand that maybe english is not their native language but that does not mean that they should raise their voice at you. They showed me a poster of the rules but I could barely read the words and when I asked for clarification they got mad. Also when I called down to ask about the safe in the room as it was locked they just told us the password and hung up right away. There was no indication at all what the password and only until we called did we understand the password and was able to open the space. For a 4 star rated hotel the place also looks shabby and ugly their sheets are also not ironed at all there are splotches everywhere and so many wrinkles. There’s a weird smell as well when you go into the room. I do not recommend I chose this hotel because it was close to the waterfront and beach but I don’t recommend staying here unless you want an unpleasant experience.

The hotel is clean and in good location, however service from reception is extremely lacking. We travelled on red eye flight and went to chk in luggage around 9am. There was a guy at the reception who has ZERO customer svc and treated us as if we are in military training camp. He did not tell us what to do with our luggage and since the door to the luggage room is open, we thought we have to put the luggages in ourselves. It was then he came over to tell us very rudely(THIS IS RESTRICTED AREA) Fine then why didnt u attend to us ? You just sit at the reception ignoring us. During the time we hang around the lobby waiting for chk in, we didnt notice there was a no eating/drinking sign. He just rudely tell us: NO FOOD. Hey come on, just tell us nicely. We overhead they charge 11000won for 1 hour of extended chk out, so I asked if we could pay for 2 hrs early chk in at 1pm. He again RUDELY and gave us a nasty look and said: WE ARE FULLY BOOKED. To hotel mgmt: Why were we treated like this? Pls review this guy's performance, I think he is really not suitable to be representing your hotel at the reception. I rarely leave bad reviews, I had to do this one as this is really too much. I would hv rated a 5 star for the hotel stay if not for this guy. I didnt get his name but you can definitely chk who he is. We were there on 13 June 9am-12pm time frame. Not the team who chk us in that day as they change shift when we chk in. We have travelled extensively and this is the 1st time we were treated like this.

It is not directly on the beachfront, but it is conveniently connected to the subway and only about five minutes from the beach. It may not be spotlessly clean, but it is comfortable and offers a pleasant Haeundae atmosphere. The staff are friendly, and many international visitors come here as well.

Ramada encore is good and pretty decently located with many attractions at walking distance. Also the adjacent streets are very good for shopping, cheap eats and taking photos. The only downside is that they have separate elevators for separate set of floors which makes it a bit if a hassle.
