the receptionnist is not friendly, the place not good especially when there is in the street until 0:00, the breakfast is light the self service does not exist, the fitness center just 2 running carpet in a hot room, my favorite moment was when this place
I am Korean, But this is one of worst service and room condition ever I had. 1. Smoking smell in No-smoking room. 2. Poo on toilet Above things? I am okay. Those can be unexpected situation. What I cannot understand is, receptionist's reaction. Usually someone smell smoking or something, then they just change the room right away especially when they don't have confidence. I am still feeling like I became a lier or bad-consumer. a) The other one is, receptionist has not apologized for the room condition. On the toilet plastic seat, I was able to see several poo spots. This is very disgusting experience that sees unknown's poo. But receptionist didnt apolozie at all. Even she told me that 'plase tell to cheif of this hotel, because I am not the cleaner' Usually this is very un-acceptable behaviors in Korea Hotel or service. I dont know why this service hotel is having 3.9 stars. 2 or 3 stars are proper even they didnt confront this kind of experience when considers hotel room size and facility. In addition, receptionist told me that 'if you have any complaint about the poo spots, tell to head chief of hotel'. OMG. Is this a normal things can be expected? b) The receptionist told me that 'All hotel rooms are occupied'. Initially I didn't care about it at all. You know what? Interesting thing is, I didn't say anything, and 'My floor was completely empty except my room'. I couldn't hear any sound and couldn't meet any other guests. I just requested room change due to the smoking smell. I dont expect more than I paid. But receptionist continuously said 'This is only room we have', which is actually not. I dont care/expect at all. But I am just annoying that, I was considered as 'Bad-consumer' that has a purpose to upgrade room with that excuse. I am not a bad person who uses other's weak point.
This hotel is actually called Art Nouveau, so I am not sure why this other name is popping up. Anyway, the hotel was great value for money when considering hotel prices in Korea. The breakfast had a nice range of Korean elements, salads, fruit and Western style breakfast foods. The room was very comfortable; the bed was perfect for me, soft but not too soft, Goldilocks bed. The restaurant in the hotel has a delicious menu and I was really impressed at the portion size and price, as well as the perfect cooking, we had a wonderful evening there. The staff were very helpful and spoke English very well, so there should be no problems with communication for any English speaker. It is walking distance from the bus terminal (GoHyeon bus terminal) if you are coming from Seoul, and it is only a short taxi ride from the P.O.W. Camp Historical Park, which is worth a day out.
Good to stay. Clean and kind service with reasonable price. Location is my best factor to stay. I will come again later when I need to go to Geoje.
Stayed here while working at the Samsung yard. Good Hotel, food in restaurant is also good, with a mix of pastas, steaks and salads. The is a shuttle bus to the yard, from the hotel. Shops and local restaurants in town are 5 min walk if you want to experience the local food.
