Great informative guide , lovely friendly very good English

Good location, beautiful view. Good tasting with good wine selection. Will advise to visit when in burgundy

If you know about Burgundy wines then you will consider the wines from Domaine Montmain to be average at best. Whites are better than the reds but Burgunsy is famous for reds! They are all Pinot noirs. The tour was okay I think the guide did a decent job. I just wish the wines are better.

This wine tasting was very interesting. Our english speaking guide took us through the wine making and aging process and then into the cave for tasting the different vintages of whites and reds. The wine are regional Burgundy reds and whites. There are no Grand Cru or Premier Cru, but they emphasize aging and the way the wines mature. The wines were excellent and very reasonably priced. We shipped 4 cases of 6 bottles back to Texas. There was a drawing table for our 4 year old to play on while we tasted. She enjoyed the entire experience very much. The lands surrounding the Domaine are exceptionally beautiful and it is only minutes from NSG.

We had a fantastic time hearing about the winemaking process and seeing all the equipment and finishing with a really informative tasting. Mathieu is clearly passionate about his subject and it shows in the pride he has for his business. He gave us some really interesting information about all aspects of wine in the Burgundy region, some of which we hadn't appreciated. The tasting was wonderful and so much better having understood what goes into the process. Thoroughly recommended.

Our host, an experienced sommelier gave us an insightful tour and answered all our questions. We tasted a selection of their Chardonnay and Pinot Noir wines and were able to buy our favourites. Thank you so much !

Nice personal story and tour. My husband has trouble walking but the owner took an easy slower pace so it was enjoyable for everybody. We could ask all sorts of questions about the wine. He made nice links to our countries of origin. Also by having introduced ourselves it gave the tour a personal touch and we got to know each other. The location is beautiful and authentic. The wines extraordinary especially the Chardonnay Jimenee.

The winery was beautiful! The tour was nice and informative and a good allotment of time. The wine was great and our tour guide, Theo, was amazing!

Excellent tour of cellars and explanation of how wine is made, different terroir etc. Yoan a brilliant guide. Opportunity to taste 3 red and 4 white wine, we found 2 we liked and bought 5 bottles in total which we plan to lay down for a number of years. Not charged for tasting and tour, presumably as we purchased a decent amount of wine (and also my husband was driving so not tasting and I only drink white!). Would definitely recommend as everyone says Yoan is excellent :)

The tour and tasting experience at the winery was wonderful. However, the tourist information center called a taxi for me on the way there, but on the way back, even though I called on a ride-hailing app, a taxi didn't come easily, so I think it would be better if they have a pick-up service or a taxi arrangement service.

Our host was charming, knowledgeable and very well informed about everything to do with wine and burgundy in particular. Rather wonderful.

Wine was good but our "in English" tour was joined by a walk-up French couple and over half of the discussion was in French which took time away from us to discuss and ask questions.

We were unable to take the tour, our train was delayed and we’d asked the tour operator for the possibility of help with transportation once we arrived and never received a reply until after the tour was to begin. We we’re very disappointed with the customer care.

Great tour, very friendly small winery - Yoan our ‘guide’ was very welcoming and super enthusiastic. Explained foundation & origins of the winery (the founder’s vision & purpose). Tour of the cellars (although we didn’t walk amongst the vines). And then tasted sone great wines with very insightful explanations on location of the vines on the estate, orientation, maturing & character… very interesting & bought a couple of bottles of knock out whites!

Exceptional tour and tasting at Montmain estate. We enjoyed learning about the amazing wines with one other party. Felt very personal and we were able to ask questions and get to know our guide.

We had a wonderful time visiting Montmain and the staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Beautiful location and very well priced wines. However the winery called us twice to request an earlier visit time as they were very busy. We tried our best to accommodate and managed to find a solution.

We had a great time visiting the vineyard’s facilities. Learning about the geography, the vineyard’s history (and it’s origins as an early recognition of the effects climate change will have on the industry), and the unique approach Domaine de Montmain utilizes was all fascinating. The setting was also beautiful!

The tour of the winery and cellars was very interesting and informative. Yoan was an excellent host. We tasted several vintages of red wine and enjoyed them all. We liked two vintages so much, we arranged to have 2 cases shipped home.

It was a fun experience with a nice guide tour. The wine tasting was also very good. Really interesting wines.

What a lovely tour of the winery, and very detailed explanation through all the process/areas we visited! And of course, the wines we tasted were superb, all very well described by the host who was happy to answer any question the group had along the way. Additionally, the location of this cellar is so pretty, you’ll want to stay for longer walking around & sightseeing. I recommend if you are in the area.

Excellent tour. Down to earth and very friendly hosts who gave an informative tour of the winery. You do not need to be a wine guru to enjoy this tour. Great value for money and so welcoming!

Good and experienced host, very nice wine, a must when you visit the region. Also the road to the domain is a nice ride.

You can tell that this type of tour and tasting is aimed at an audience that knows nothing about wine. The explanations are too general, the tasting rushed, the wines offered quite mediocre. I regret having paid for this experience.

A relaxed and professional tour of the cellars, along with a very pleasant tasting!The wine is excellent and the prices are very reasonable for Burgundy. Very warm welcome from the owner, a man passionate about his profession, an excellent teacher, who answered all our questions with kindness and enthusiasm during a very beautiful and enjoyable tasting. And to finish, he did not pressure us to make a purchase.

Visit this beautiful estate to absolutely discover. We were lucky enough to benefit from a personalized tasting with Mathieu (Le Boss). The future of Burgundy will perhaps be decided on the heights of the vineyard in the years to come. We’ll talk about it again, that’s for sure! We immediately feel the love of well-made wine and the desire to set the estate apart from the rest of the Hautes Côtes, thanks in particular to investments in organic. The wines are very well made, from beautiful terroirs.

We took a tasting tour of this winery. The tour began with a view of the vineyards and an explanation of the territory, followed by a visit to the winemaking and aging cellar, and finally, we carried out the tasting. The cost of the experience is 15 euros. The owner who followed us during the tour was very kind, available to answer our questions and the visit was very interesting.

It was great, the guys who run it are the most fun. The wines, very good. The facilities are small but the vineyards are huge.

A very informative and friendly tour of the winery! We were allowed to taste different wines, which differed in particular in their age.
