It was a very nice experience. Davis is very knowledgeable and friendly. Overall, we all enjoyed our day!

Deepal went above and beyond in our day with her. She shared information on not only our Loire Valley stops but also France/Paris in general. It was a great experience!
We really enjoyed this wine tour with tastings. Our tour guide Paul was incredible. Being from a family of winemakers, he educated us about this region history, appellations, and all sorts wine producers. Highly recommend!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was delightful, funny and informative. The time in Beaune was a perfect break in the day. The wineries were a nice blend of locations. The tastings were also a great illustration of the differences in the area.
Even for someone with some familiarity with Burgundy wines, this was an exceptionally educational and informative tour. We tasted a total of eleven different wines at two wineries -- a smaller, family-owned maison in Gevrey-Chambertin (Côte de Nuits) in the morning, and a larger, corporate wine-tasting room (in Côte de Beaune, but offering good wines from all regions and many different villages) in the afternoon. In between visits, Marie, our travel guide, drove us through different villages vineyards, and countryside of Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune regions as she explained the history of wine and wine-production in.Burgundy, its wine classification system (AOC), and the varying geography, geology, and terroire of different areas and their affect on.the wines from each. Midday, we stopped for a couple of hours on our own in Beaune, where we enjoyed a wonderful lunch (with very good wines, of course) at one of the restaurants that Marie recommended, followed by an enjoyable walk around the town. We particularly appreciated Marie's breadth and depth of knowledge, her clear and well-articulated explanations and answers to our questions, and her obvious enthusiasm and passion for wine, wine production, and for Burgundy. If you are at all interested in learning -- or broadening your knowledge -- about Burgundy and its wines, take this tour.
This is my third time, THIRD TIME, to go on tour with Authentica. First time was 2022 Aug, second time and third time Oct 2026. I went with 3 different tour guides. Each guide is different. I really appreciate how knowledgeable the guides are. I have learnt a lot from each of them. Leonie, who is super wonderful tour guide, gave me in depth and solid knowledge about burgundy. I was holding my Burgundy wine book, she can remember the numbers and percentage and hectare correctly. (How was it possible!?) Leonie was undoubtedly so professional and knowledgeable. I had a very good wine master class lesson with her 😸 thank you very much Leonie! Since it’s my third time to join, I am so thankful with Emmanuel, the owner of Authentica to specially arrange the brand new vineyard visits, tailor made for me ! One was a private cave, another was a small family vineyard. Really authentic Burgundy experience!! I am absolutely thankful. Thank you so so much Emmanuel!! I’ll definitely come back alone or with friend next time with this operator!
We had two tastings of excellent wines, and we spent most of the tour away from the main road, so we got to see the majority of the Grand Cru properties. Our guide shared all manner of information about the region. She also made lunch reservations at a really nice restaurant in Beaune, L'Écrit'Vin.
If you don't want to spoil or gamble your holiday, I highly recommend not to try the tour. I booked the tour for my holidays, but the agent cancelled the tour just day before suddenly. They said the tour didn't meet the minimum requirement because of the cancellation made by others and asked me to pay more(extra 266 euro) to make the tour happens. According to the cancellation policy in Viator, they have non-refundable policy and the tour agent must not have any financial damages because of the cancel. If the number of participant isn't enough at the beginning, that makes sense, however, they told me the reason of the cancellation by others which I should not be affected. On top of their doubtful story, I want to alert their attitude as well. They suggested me alternative plans in the first mail, but they never reply and just throw me away on the street only day before although I visited Burgundy spending for 10 hours flights. I couldn't arrange anything in such a short notice and totally spoiled my pleasant holiday because of this awful agent. In essence, they are not professional, even more, you will waste your time, money and fun trip by this disgusting agent. It seems someone had a good time with them, but very risky gamble; ruin everything or have low average experience only if you're lucky.
Great experience. We love the wines and we loved stopping in the little town for lunch. We were looking for mid press wines and that’s what we got. I might have liked something a little higher end, but that’s not what we paid for. Overall, it’s fantastic.
Amazing way to spend the day. Double bonus. A major education regarding wine from the region, but also historical context.
It was a most enjoyable and informative day. Paul the guide was excellent- friendly and knowledgeable
Wonderful wines, views, educational , very knowledgeable guide and relaxed. Highly recommend .- ask for Ellse
The tour was wonderful. Our guide Elsa was hilarious and informative. We liked the free time in Beaune and it broke up the wine tastings nicely. Unlike other wine tours we have been on, this one was very informative and educational as well as entertaining.
We really enjoyed the wine tour eith our guide Paul. We were joined by a family with s very fussy baby and a 3 year old. This did sffect our ability to hear our guide’s wonderful commentary and did impact our enjoyment of the tour. Paul was very helpful in placing us in the front seat of the van which did mitigate the noise. We have been on many many wine tours and never encountered this issue before. Perhaps we could have been informed of the presence of a baby and given the opportunity to reschedule our tour.
This is a great introductory tour to the Burgundy wines and vineyards also leaving ample time to explore the very picturesque town of Baune and its unique and most spectacular sight, the Hotel Dieu (better skip lunch than miss this). Very convenient pickup and dropoff, minibus driven by our host, Elsa, a knowledgeable and very entertaining lady (the tour was full). We were driven around the vineyards and had all the cultivation basics explained, visited two chateaus (a small, family one and a bigger one), tasted a wide range of chardonnays and pinot noires, had the winemaking procedure explained. Overall, we had a smashing time. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful day exploring the vineyards of Burgundy. The small-group format made the experience feel relaxed and personal, and we really enjoyed discovering both the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune. The scenery was beautiful, the wine tastings were excellent, and we learned a lot about Burgundy wines without it ever feeling too technical. We also loved spending time in historic Beaune — such a charming town. Coming from New York, this was exactly the kind of authentic experience we were hoping to have in Burgundy. A fantastic day and definitely one of the highlights of our trip to France!
We had a very enjoyable and informative wine tour with Elsa. Highly recommended for learning all about the local wine varieties in the Burgundy region. Pick up spot is close to the Dijon train station.
Aside from the fact that we had to be up and out at 6:00AM in Paris to get a ride to the train station for a train to get us to our pickup site, this was a very informative, enjoyable and memorable experience. Our guide, Stephane was quite personable and entertaining and did his very best to assure that everyone would enjoy the trip. His knowledge (and driving skills) were sincerely appreciated as we rode through the narrow streets of the picturesque villages along the way. Our host at the first stop, "Domaine LeClerc" shared lots of information about the area, the terroir, and the terrific wines that they produced. After our lunch in Beaune, Stephane made a decision to modify our trip and we stopped at another terrific winery that was not on the original itinerary. Great choice in my opinion! It was an overall marvelous experience. Thank you, Stephane for being an awesome guide!
Our guide, Stephanie was knowledgeable and entertaining. He made a trip variation decision to visit a different winery that proved to be the highlight of the trip. Very enjoyable and worthwhile excursion.
Very knowledgeable about the region and the wines. Excellent driver too. Very friendly and answered all our questions.
Very scenic and wonderful wines along the journey! Beaune was great for lunch.
Was lucky to be in a small group with Maxime, who’s a great guide. He gave us in-depth knowledge of the region’s history, its varietals and we even toured a winery that took us through the process
Tour was amazing!! Our tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our family learned so much about wine and the vineyards!! The wine we tasted was also great. It tasted even better with everything we learned about how it was made! Truly a very rich and enjoyable experience.
This is a great historical trip into the Burgundy wine country. Beautiful drive through all the small towns. The first wine tasting was at a small family owned vineyard and we loved it. Beaune is adorable, but we wished there had been a tasting there as well. The second tasting was at a larger company. Marie, our guide, was amazing. I think it would be nicer to only stop at small vineyards.
Host failed to show up, and the host failed to communicate about why through the app. Viator customer service helped me and they couldn’t communicate with the host either. Eventually Viator started a refund process. I only had one day available in my trip for the tour so it was pretty disappointing. I commend Viator for their customer service. The lack of communication by the host felt disrespectful and I wouldn’t recommend the service as a result.
I booked and paid €266.68 for this tour. The tour operator cancelled the tour on the morning (22 May). With help from Dijon tourist office, the tour operator offered me a half day tour for €170 with a refund of €96.68. Despite my best efforts, Viator has failed, refused or neglected to pay the refund.
We had a great Burgundy tour and wine tasting experience, despite the rainy weather. Marie, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable about the local wineries and wine, making the tour educational and enjoyable. We really appreciated the selections of wine, especially the pinot noir from Leclerc. We had a reasonable time in Beaune to have lunch and appreciate the museum at the Hospice de Beaune- L'Hotel Dieu. Highly recommended.
There was sufficient content and tour time. The guide David was knowledgeable and helpful. Overall a good experience.
Our guide, Tom, was very knowledgeable on the wine regions of Burgundy. I found the sharing very educational and enlightening for people, like me, have little knowledge of the subject. Tom is humorous and illustrate with analogy to convey the messages on the subject of wine. Totally enjoy the time on the trip.
Such an incredible day! Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained us everything there is to know about the area, history and of course the production of the wine. We had amazing tasting experiences at 2 wineries. We had some free time at Beaune and explored the charming town. And the views of the vineyards were spectacular! Definitely worth it
Great day! Our guide Marie, did a fantastic job of explaining the wines and vineyards of Burgundy. The highlight was the Pierre Thibert winery where we were able to purchase wine and have it shipped to the US. Highly recommend this tour!!
We had an amazing day with Marie, learning so much about Burgundy wines and the local villages. A++
Guide was VERY knowledgeable and provided access to high quality domains that wouldn’t be public knowledge
Really knowledgeable guide with perfect English and a good sense of humour. A lovely couple of wine suppliers of different types and sizes. From a small family run to a larger business. Very good.
The group was small and the guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. Our guide was local and answered all the group's questions. The smaller group size means you don't have to wait for 30 people to pile on a bus. The van was comfortable, despite it being unreasonably warm.
Great experience, excellent wines! Our guide had a wonderful personality
Our guide was friendly and informative. We stopped next to the vineyard for an up-close look at the vines and beautiful old stone walls. At the wineries we learned a lot about the regions, plots and labeling. Our guide dropped us off at Beaune for 2 hours to explore and eat lunch. It’s a beautiful city.
A really fun day out! Tom, our guide was super informative. A walking wine encyclopedia. But never too serious which made the day highly enjoyable. The starting location was easy to find. Tom was on time and the group was small (5 people). We drove through little villages and got a few opportunities to stop and take pictures. The wine tasting was very good ( and plentiful 😁) . Not too snobby or pretentious but with enough info to make the wine discussion enjoyable. The pace of the trip was also very nice because it is a full day out. Overall I would definitely reccomend this tour.
We started by meeting at the meeting point, which luckily is easy to find. We drove for a short time to see some of the vines in the various plots. Did a wine tasting in a local town, then went to Beaune for lunch. After lunch we went to one more wine tasting. Paul was kind enough to change the afternoon tasting to meet our group’s preferences, which was amazing! We then returned to Dijon. Was a full day from 9:45am to 5:45pm.
We had a great guide, Antona. He was very knowledgeable. His English was almost perfect. He was fun, lighthearted and made us all enjoy our time together. The outlying areas of Dijon are so beautiful. He explained the whole wine process, where the history of the vinyards came from, and could answer almost any question we threw at him. It was a very pleasant day. 7:30 hours. Went by quickly. The nicest part was getting to walk around Beaune by yourself for a few hours and doing what you want and having lunch. I would recommend this tour and if you are lucky enough to get Antona it will make your tour even better!
Our guide Elsa was a delight and made the tour spectacular. Very informative and a wonderful day of tastings and exploring Beaune.
We had a lovely day in the Bourgogne wine area near Dijon. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She spoke very good English as well. I will say the 2 hrs spent in Beaune were actually the highlight. It is a great little village . The wines we tasted were just ok, but we got a lot of interesting history and info. The van was just ok. We got stuck in the 3rd row and it was a bit tight . I would recommend this tour though.
The tour was great and our guide was so knowledgeable
A very informative and entertaining introduction to this renowned wine producing area. Our guide, Anne, was very knowledable and did an excellent job of educating the group in both French and English while also driving.
Amazing day out in Burgundy. Marie, Our guide was fantastic with a deep knowledge of wine, terroir, and local knowledge. We learned so much in a single day. The drive through the countryside was beautiful and the two tastings were amazing and felt very exclusive. The free time in Beaune was great with some great lunch ideas. Highly recommended and worth the price.
David was our guide and he couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. He was very knowledgeable of the wineries we visited and the wines that we tasted. At each winery we sampled a total of seven wines that were all very good. Our stop in Beaune for lunch was so enjoyable. A beautiful day enjoyed by all members of my family.
The wine tour was very enjoyable. The best part was the drive through the different vineyards and our guide sharing his knowledge of the local history.
A very enjoyable day with two wine tasting experiences, and a chance to explore the lovely town of Beaune. Our guide Stefan, did a great job; he was full of knowledge and took care to look after us. All the wines tasted were lovely (at both sites), and those serving and sharing about them were also friendly and shared plenty of interesting facts. A time well spent, and an experience that was well worth it
We had an amazing day - Stefan was very knowledgeable and warm, really brought the experience to life. Beaune was great to visit and the wine was excellent throughout!
Stefan was our excellent guide for this informative, relaxed and fun day out. We had two differing wine tasting experiences, time in beautiful Beaune and we return better equipped to make choices and understand the fine wines of Burgandy.
