Exceptional!! David our guide, and sommelier provided an amazing glimpse into the complexity of the Burgundy wine region. We toured an established winery and a smaller producer that had exquisite Grand Crus! The winemaker in the smaller winery gave us a special tour and a barrel tasting!! Highly recommend Authentica and our insightful sommelier David!!

The tour was excellent! Our guide, Anne was delightful. Lots of history, tech data and personal information. I now know a lot more about Burgundy but soo much more is there. The tastings were very different. One moderate € the other higher but reachable. The top shelf was discussed and viewed. Glad we didn’t get tempted. Taste and see.
We booked an all-day wine tour of Burgundy. There were eight people in total in the van and Paul was our guide. We went to two wineries, one larger and the other a smaller producer. Both of them made excellent wines. We visited their caves as part of the tour. Lunch in Beaune on our own was a delight. Paul was a very knowledgeable wine expert and answered our many questions. Highly recommended.
I really enjoyed the tour – the beautiful views from our stops and the wine tasting were fantastic. What made the experience truly exceptional, though, was our guide Ann. She was incredibly knowledgeable about almost every aspect of Dijon, and I loved hearing all she had to say.
Great tour experience learning about the area, the history and the wine., The tour is relaxed and informative while being an enjoyable afternoon.
What a wonderful time!!! Highly recommend! David was extremely knowledgeable and made the experience memorable. Excellent suggestions beyond our tour.
We were staying in Basel for only a few days with another couple and had limited time to plan a day trip to Burgundy for wine tasting. We appreciated that there was a tour available (just days before our trip) that provided transportation and a guide for a tasting experience. We caught a morning train to Dijon where we met Max for an all day Passion tour including two wineries and two hours for lunch in Beaune. It was a very hot day, but the tour van was air conditioned and comfortable, and Max provided us all with plenty of bottled water. Max was a great guide- he kept the conversation going with information not only about the vineyards and wines but also the local area and culture. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He was also a great driver, keeping us all safe and comfortable for the journey between Dijon and Beaune (I was worried about getting car sick, but it was not an issue). I really enjoyed that he took us to see the vineyard plots of 3 wines that we tasted, so that we had a genuine "farm to table" experience. I could not have asked for a better Burgundy day trip- thank you Max!
We had a wonderful experience on this tour! Our guide, Stephan, was incredibly passionate and kind. He made a real effort to share information with us, also we could taste excellent wines. We had plenty of time to enjoy our visit to Beaune. I would highly recommend this tour to my friends and anyone visiting this region!
We had a wonderful experience with our driver Stephan, who took my daughter and me on a scenic drive through the Burgundy Grand Cru route from Dijon to Beaune. The drive itself was the focus of the tour — winding through charming, picturesque towns with great views of the vineyards stretching across the hillsides. Stephan was knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about the region. He provided insightful context, enhancing our appreciation of the area and its rich winemaking heritage. We tried six different wines at Moillard , each with its own unique character and story. The experience was both educational and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend this tour and Stephan in particular for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of Burgundy’s Grand Crus.
Trip canceled at last moment with no communication even though we got multiple confirmations from TA that trip was on. We arrived at meeting spot only to find when we tried to contact the operator, the operator had left a message about cancellation on the Trip Advisor that morning. Prior to tour guide date, got multiple messages (from various foreign countries) trying to upsell our tour. Understand minimum number if people needed to book, but wouldn’t book “a minimum needed” again or even use TA to book a tour given conflicting messages and annoying attempts to upsell.
Very interesting! Loved the tour and the guide. He was very knowledgable and taught us many things about the region and the wine tasting, very nice person, good english. Would definitely recommend him and this tour
Very interesting! AlotofinfoaboutBurgundyand wine making. Loved the wine tasting! Beanne is such a charming town! We want to come back. Our guide Stephan was very nice and knowledgable! Answered all of our questions and showed us wineries that we would not be able to find on our own. Thank you! He also made suggestions of what we should see in Beanne on our own Definitely would recommend this tour and our guide!
This was such experience and an amazing way to get to know the region and its history. We were originally booked for the 1/2 day tour and upgraded to the full day. I am so grateful we did because it would have felt rushed otherwise. Our guide was friendly, extremely knowledgeable and made wine accessible and not stuffy for anyone in the group who may have been learning. The drive was incredible, the village’s picturesque and tranquil. It was like a journey through time. We visited two wineries, each very different but gave us a sense of all the region had to offer. Our guide made extra stops for us to take in the views and the lay of the land which was helpful in understanding how they classify their wines. Our two hours in Beaune was perfect. We had a leisurely lunch and then strolled the town. Stopped in a cheese shop that had amazing goodies. It was a perfect day. Thank you to our guide!
The tour was great! I learned a lot about wine and the region. We tasted some good wines and saw some really great site. Our guide was awesome!
Drive through the vineyards and the wine tasting. David was very knowledgeable. For people in back a little hard to hear. Maybe a microphone would have helped!
Was a bit disappointed. Only had 45 minutes in Beaune; not enough time. Drove through some quaint villages on the way from Dijon to Beaune with a few stops we got out to take photos. Guide was very knowledgeable and interesting. Not sure if that chewed up the time or the wine tasting but when we got to Beaune our guide told us she was concerned about traffic on the way back so we only had 45 minutes. There was a couple who had a 7:00pm train to catch so she was being conscious of their schedule.
Such an interesting tour seeing the Burgundy wine villages. The guide was passionate, clear and fun. We came away with a greatly improved understanding of and enthusiasm for Burgundy, its wine and especially Nuits St Georges and Beaune. Merci!
Pierre was an amazing guide… he was knowledgeable and friendly, and gave us a great recommendation for dinner and helped us make a reservation .We were kind of misled by the advertising, we thought we were going to a winery instead we went to a storefront where they were selling wine and stood for 30 minutes while we tasted. Then we went to Beaune for an hour. Although they apologized, they were 40 minutes late in picking us up and we had no communication except for we ran into some other people that were on the same tour and they told us that they had to reach out to find out what was going on… We were a bit disappointed! Give us
Pierre was very professional, positive and a fount of knowledge on all things related to wine ( especially those pertaining to Burgundy and Bordeaux). I found this tour to be very educational and enjoyabke. Thank You Pierre.
We enjoyed the entire tour with Kristin. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We were surprised that we only went to one winery, but we had multiple tastings of different Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs from the Cote de Nuit. Even as experienced wine people we learned new details about French wines. And we enjoyed the tour through the vineyards.
Very knowledgeable tour guide about wine and good look at different wine areas in the region with good explainations of different types of grapes and wine. . Wine tasting poor was just in basement of a glorified shop Mouthful of each wine to taste. A serious wine tour not much fun and not what was expected from previous wine tasting in other countries. Expensive for what you get
We had a wonderful experience with Roman, who was so friendly and knowledgeable about the region and terroir. Stopping at points along the route to Beaune to see the different levels of vineyards, the tasting, and the stop in Beaune- he made wine accessible. Roman did everything from answer our wine questions to calling his sister to give recommendations for beaches in southern France for another tour member. It was wonderful and we highly recommend this tour and Roman!
Knowledgeable guide, we learned so much and really enjoyed the tastings and wonderful scenery. Our guide was very passionate about the area and very interesting and friendly.
This was a great tour and David was a great guide. Loved the stops along the way to see the vineyards up close. And of course the tasting of the delicious wines. We had time in Baune to visit the former hospital and to grab a quick snack before heading back to Dijon. Perfect day.
This was the perfect day trip. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. She even helped us pick wines to have delivered back to the states from the winery.
Miriam was a wonderful host, knowledgeable and welcoming. Her passion for wine, the land and people was very apparent!
Pierre was an excellent tour guide. He is very knowledgeable and I had a lot of fun with him on this tour.
We had a wonderful afternoon on a private tour. Good communication from tour operations. We met a winemaker and visited two cellars. We bought several bottles.
I joined the half day 5 hour tour. I was very satisfied with the experience and Thomas the guide. I learned a lot about the region, history, and the wine. The van was comfortable. The tasting was very high quality. I highly recommend this tour! Tip: my phone map took me to a location about 70m from the correct point. I used another map and found the point of pick up. If you are looking over the tram station, with your back to the Arch, the pick up point is across the road to the left side of the green park about 50m.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and although I know some things about wine, I learned a lot more! The group was small in number, which was quite nice too. The wine tasting, provided a good variety, and we learned about the vintages, etc.
Highly recommend this all day tour! We learned so much about the viticulture in the Dijon region. A wonderful day of wine tasting!
Brilliant tour guide (Leonie) who was energetic, very insightful and spoke perfect English. And she was very adaptable to the plans of the group. I feel like I understand the region and its wines way better now. The wine tasting was great, I just wish there was more. I wish we could spend more time in Beaune or at least have a specific activity to do there, as we ended up just strolling around for 35 minutes.
A great way of discovering the wines of Burgundy. Our guide was really nice and shared lots of interesting facts about the vineyards and the region
Everything was well organised and delivered just as described. Our guide, Jeremy, was knowledgeable and passionate about the wines and about Burgundy. He took time to get to know each person and ensured he focussed on our areas of interest. We have taken wine tours in many countries. This is one of the best. We highly recommend it.
My friend and I took the private tour with Thomas, the guide-extraordinaire. For me it was one of the best investment i had made in my own education - on wine this time of course. The whole day tour features two stops for wine tasting and both are very good. Along the way there are a couple of surprises which we loved. The lunch stop was slightly strange - it was a sunny day and I would have preferred to sit outside on a terrace but somehow we were ushered into a classic restaurant (but the food was great and so we hardly could complain about that). Thomas makes the trip memorable - as has been said before, he is charming, funny, knowledgeable and cheeky. Be aware that he will quiz you at the end of the trip. I suggest taking a note pad and a pen - to capture some of the knowledge that comes out of his mouth - there is a lot!
Our tour was absolutely amazing! We had Thomas as our guide and he was very charismatic and knowledgeable. We learned so much about the history and process of wine-making in Burgundy, while having a lot of fun. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone considering.
We had a great time thanks for the knowledgeable guide and excellent couples. Wines were sublime and I learned a lot about wine. Yes I would do this again and highly recommend it
Thomas took us on an excellent tour! He was energetic, fun, entertaining and had a great sense if humor! His knowledge of wines was top notch. We learned a ton in a fun way! His recommendations were always spot on for both wines and restaurants, yum! We hope Thomas had as much fun as we did!! Will recommend to everyone!! You will be so happy you joined him!!
Fantastic tour with a Greater appreciation of the Burgundy Wines and the region. Thomas was a fantastic guide who explained the history of the region and wines, provided a comprehensive explanation of each wine, and discussed the environmental impact on the grapes. I left the day wanting to try additional wines and yearning to learn more of the region. Wish I had more time in Beaune to enjoy dinner and the historical hospice but I plan to add this to my itinerary for the week! You will not be disappointed
Such a great tour. My partner and I did not know a lot about wine and this was our first tasting. Our guide, Sebastian, was so helpful and kind to us. He explained everything perfectly and answered all our questions. The wines we tasted were amazing and Sebastian showed us each vineyard where they came from. This was certainly a highlight of France for us!
We took this tour on December 30 with our three sons (ages 20. 17 and 15). We thoroughly enjoyed. It was the perfect balance of history and wine knowledge, private and intimate without other tourists. Our guide, Anne, seems to enjoy her work, and she was super nice. The tour is reasonably priced for what you get.
We could not speak more highly of our enchanting afternoon on our wine tour with Leonie. To our absolute delight we were the only ones on the tour that afternoon and immediately were impressed by her warmth and amazing knowledge of the wine industry and history. We were definitely wine ‘virgins’ and ended up professionals by the end of the day. Our stop in Beaune was also a highlight seeing the charite hospital.
We had such a fun time with this experience. Sebastian was an excellent tour guide: friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The other people on the tour were young and had a great sense of humor, though anyone would feel welcome. This is perfect for uncertain weather as you drive through the vineyards safe from rain. We will remember this for quite some time. Don’t think, just book it.
Superb tour from the very insightful and funny guide, Ivan. Visited a vineyard in Fixin, then a winemaker’s shop for wine tasting (7 excellent wines) then finally a wine club for more tasting. He explained about the very interesting and complicated wine traditions from the region; came away definitely more knowledgeable about the whole process and fast friends with the rest of the group.
We’re wine lover and yet love to explore more about knowledge of wine. The Authentica tour has answered our questions down to wine road story. They have a good guide tour that able to provide a good knowledge in details about wine. We decided to come back every year to explore different tour program, which each one has its charm and this time especially Beaune city. Last but not least, The services is excellent and very much recommended!!! Fred and Darry
What a great afternoon seeing the sites of Beaune and the wine regions. The wine tasting was great and learning more about the wines from this area was enlightening. Thomas was extremely entertaining but also shared a deep understanding of the wines from Burgundy. We took the train from Paris in the morning, did the tour and took the train back in the evening. We got back late (which we knew we would) and I wasn't sure this was going to be a good idea. However, I definitely made the right choice. While it was a long day it was a day perfectly spent. Thank you Thomas for all of the laughs and the great wine tasting!
We appreciate wine but know very little about french wines. It was a great and pleasant opportunity to get started on Burgundy wines. Our guide, Thomas, made it all very interesting and enjoyable, specially in the wine tasting. Highly recomended!
My husband and I took this tour yesterday and had such a fun time. Our guide, Thomas, was so entertaining and knowledgeable, and we learned so much about this wine region. Very interesting tour! We thought all the wines we tasted were wonderful and even bought some to take back with us to the U.S. Would definitely recommend this tour! (Thomas was very helpful to all of us in restaurant recommendations and sights to see during our stay.)
It was a lovely tour! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We toured the vineyards and enjoyed fabulous wine tasting in a beautiful chateau wine cellar
Great tasting and tour of the wines. Guide was very knowledgeable, nice and great at English but one of the other couples were from France and a lot of the conversation went on in french. We felt left out of the conversation a lot of the tour. Maybe this is something to think about when creating the groups to make everyone feel included since the tour language is english.
