A comprehensive tour that covered the entire Burgundy region, as well as Chablis, and its differences in terroir. Tastings were varied and comprehensive with good range including some excellent premier and grand crus. Lunch at Trapet’s Maison T was a superb blend of wines and food. David’s obvious sommelier experience, world knowledge of wine and detailed info on Burgundy wines, including those we tasted and their terroir. Good English, easy manner, good vehicle. Flexibility in scheduling the day and sensitive to our interests. Highly recommended.

We had a great full day touring with Authentica Tours with Stefan. Stefan was from the region and was able to provide us a lot of insight in the area. When we were ahead of schedule, we made a couple of stops in the neighborhoods to explore and learn more. Would recommend this experience!

Authentica has Excellent cars ,the drivers punctual and knowledgeable. Our driver Stephane was the perfect tour guide enabling us to experience the wonderful world of wine and food in burgundy. It was really easy to work with Authentica to set up a memorable tour of Burgundy. We arranged car service from Paris to Dijon and Beaune to Lyon, with two days of wine tasting in between. The drivers were courteous and prompt. The highlight was Stephàne, our guide on the wine tours. He is born and raised in Burgundy and a trained sommelier. He was familiar with the wineries we visited, but not all of them. His guidance felt fresh and authentic. Plus he was a real delight to talk to and treated my mom like a queen! I could not recommend Authentica more! Such a grand experience!!

We had an amazing day exploring Bourgogne wines with Johan. Started with seeing a family operation during harvest season and their facilities. The best part was their library of wine from years past. Then an exemplary lunch and wine pairing embodying the Bourgogne region followed by a final tasting allowing us to taste a full range of wines. Highly recommend this tour!

I would like to say that this experience greatly exceeded my expectations. My goal was to see the different communes and taste representative wines from them, specifically to be able to compare whites from Chassagne, Puligny and Meursault side by side. Thomas, our guide, was superb. He picked up my wife and I promptly and the van was clean and comfortable. He was not only knowledgeable and personable but he arranged each tasting stop to be individually modified and tailored to us based on our ongoing discussions. At our first stop he arranged the side by side tasting of the whites from the three communes along with a Batard-Montrachet and and also some superb reds. The wines we tasted that day ran the gamut from village wines, through premier crus and grand crus covering the Cote de Beaune and the Cote de Nuits. Many had sufficient age (back to 2006) to appreciate the evolution with time. It was a marvelous wine tour through the Cote d'Or.It was all I could have asked for and more. Our thanks to Authentica and to Thomas.

Wonderful tour, Jeremy was very knowledgeable. He managed to take us wine tasting in an area and season that usually doesn’t offer much in the way of “traditional tastings”. Highly recommend Jeremy and this tour.

We visited 3 winemakers and had tastings of several bottles at each. We tasted a number or grand cru and premium cru. There was no shortage of wine! Lunch was fantastic. One of the best meals we’ve had in our time here. Our guide Tom was extremely knowledgeable and did an excellent job education us on the region and it’s wines. Fantastic experience. We did the full day passion tour through burgundy. We love wine and have done many wine tours and this was the worst. We expected it to be more wine tasting focused but unfortunately we only had two wine tastings with 5 wines at each. The cost for these were list and were 40 euros for both. We paid 130 for the whole day tour. The first wine tasting we did was in a tasting room and not picturesque at all. It was in the middle of a town with trucks everywhere. We also drove through many vineyards but did not stop to walk through and all looked the same so about 2.5 hours of just vines gets a little boring. Then we were brought to beaune for lunch which was not included and told we normally have 2 hours but today we only had 1. We quickly ate at the first restaurant after our tour guide said it was a very touristy town. I wish they would have taken us to a town more local as all the places were overpriced with average food. I would have expected a little more off the beaten path. Thw second winery was beautiful so that helped and was on a vineyard. we got back to Dijon and we looked at the map that the company had sent us with places to visit and things to see. We went to the mustard place and it was closed and no longer around. Apparently since 2017. So even this information was outdated and not usable. I would have expected a better tour with more service for the cost as it was 260 euros for two of us. This essentially only included transport and two wine tastings.

This is the best way to see Burgundy in a day. Our guide, Jeremie Durand, was amazing. Jeremie speaks perfect English, met us at our hotel, is a good story teller, is a master of his subject matter, and kept a good pace for the tour. He brought us around to different wolrd-famous vineyards, from Chevalier Montrachet to Romanee-Conti, and we made three tasting stops, at Domaine Marguerite Carillon, at Domaine Comte Senard, and at a private wine club in Fixin. Overall, we tasted 25 different wines, probably close to have of them grand crus. It was a sumptuous day.

My wife and I were 100% satisfied and the tour exceeded our expectations. The customer service was excellent as was the tour vehicle. We enjoyed the tastings very much. We cannot express our thanks enough to Chef Hubert. He was wonderful, professional, knowledgeable, and had a great sense of humor. We did not realize our guide would be a chef, and to have someone as experienced and well traveled as Chef Hubert was great. His knowledge of the regions, history, grapes and teaching us how to choose and pair wines was an absolute joyous education. All of the food choices he made were wonderful as was the choice of restaurant to have lunch. We hope to return to the area many more times!

Hubert was our guide and he was fantastic. Very knowledgeable about the region and especially about the wines. The tastings were amazing! Lived up to expectations and exceeded.. Highly recommend!!

Tour guide Thomas picked us up at our hotel in Dijon in a very comfortable German car. His great humour paired with an abundance of knowledge made him the perfect guide for this day. We visited several great spots in the Côte d’Or. Clos des Lambraus, Romanée Conti, and the 12th century cellar of Domaine Comte Senard where we enjoyed a fantastic lunch, to just name a few. We tasted a large number of wines, many of which Grand Crus, that otherwise we probably wouldn’t have found. Thomas was happy to share his knowledge mostly around wine, but also when it came to places to visit, and restaurants to dine in in the region. We highly recommend this tour if you’re truly interested in the wines of the Côte d’Or. You won’t be disappointed.

A group of 4, we were taken care of by Thomas, the bi-lingual well of knowledge ( 3 of us were French speakers and 1 english) . We made our way from Beaune to Fixin with stops along the way in Meursault, Gevrey Chambertin and Vosnes Romanée in a very spacious and comfortable van. We got to learn about the making of Burgundy nectars in a winery (and tasted great wines); ate a great traditional meal by a 14th century fireplace (and tasted great wines); we spent some time in a private cellar (and tasted great wines) and we ended the day with a little detour among the most famous parcels in the world. It was as good as it reads and all the credit goes to Thomas, his knowledge seems to have no limits, his passion is contagious and his enthusiasm made a great day even greater.

We had a fantastic day sampling some great Burgundy wines and learning a lot about winemaking in the region thanks to our superb guide, Sebastian. He had an excellent relationship with all four of the wineries we visited and clearly enjoyed sharing his encyclopaedic knowledge. His passion was infectious so in future I shall only use my Bordeaux for cooking ;-) I must also mention our lunch at Domaine du Comte Senard as the Boeuf Bourguignon was the best I have ever tasted and an excellent complement to the Echezeaux Grand Cru, 2016 as well as the other fabulous wines we were served - thank goodness I wasn't driving! The tour was good value for money and I hope to do it again some day. Many thanks to all concerned.

We had an incredible time learning about Cote de Beaune and Cote de Nuit. Mario's experience and knowledge about the area is outstanding. I feel that I know about everything about the region from geology to history to microclimates to viticulture to the enjoyment of Burgundy wines. An extremely thorough tour for true lovers of wine.

I want to thank Authentica Tours for a terrific experience, in particular my guide Antonin. I found the tour as I was seeking unique experiences with the hidden gems of Burgundy, to experience both sides of the region and the Grands crus. The company fully delivered on my expectations. The tour offered comparative insights into each of the domains and locations by providing direct access to the wine makers to introduce their styles and philosophies. At one point in the trip, I requested a modification to the itinerary and Antonin along with the owner of the company Emmanuel were very attentive to what I was seeking and made it happen. As a mid-30 solo traveler, the company did a great job matching me with a guide who was relatable, knowledgeable and fun to be around. This made the private tour special.

Recently, we asked to ship additional wines from various producers in Burgundy through Authentica 7 months after our initial trip, and they graciously offered to pick up the wines and ship them, and again are so responsive and professional. I would recommend Authentica to everyone I know. During our tour, our tour guide was professional, the lunch at Domaine Trapet was absolutely perfect, and the excellent service continues. Authentica does not stop providing excellent service after your tour, they continue to give as long as you stay in touch with them. This is not my first review of them, but they were so incredible to work with when it comes to continuing to order wines through them that they deserved a 2nd 5 Star review. When we booked our tour, telling them that we didn't drink red wines we were skeptical, but after a full day with our exceptional guide Sebastien, we thought they did a spectacular job. It was just the two of us, starting out in Chagny and stopping at one house where we tasted seven Premier and Grand Crus after a tour of a working winery, and ended up getting a couple of cases from them of wines that are hard to find in the U.S. From there we drove through more vineyards and ended up at a house where we had a traditional style meal and tasted a few more wines from the Corton area (and got a case from there--the vineyard was literally next to the house we ate in). Then ended up at the tasting cave where we got another half dozen plus white wines as we requested and got more bottles. On that note, we had everything shipped to the U.S. We are fortunate to live in a state that allows shipments, and they packaged everything and shipped it to us. It takes about two weeks to arrive once it's shipped, but it's the best way to go since they will collect everything and ship it without you worrying about carrying anything back yourself. The amount of information our guide was able to share was amazing. We're pretty well informed about wines and asked Sebastien everything else that we didn't know and not once was he unable to give us a clear and concise answer. It was honestly one of the most educational and informative experiences we've ever had. This is definitely the tour to take, just make sure not to drink all the wine they give you, you won't make it home.

Booked a private Burgundy wine tour for 4 people. Ivan was very prompt in picking us up at our hotel. He gave us a nice driving tour of the region, including going right into the region and field for the harvest. Each of the wineries were not open to the public, so this made our visit very special. Each wine room was previously set up for us, so that when we arrived we just began tasting. Ivan was incredibly knowledgable about the wineries, grapes, region etc... And YES...I would use them again

My guide, Hubert, has an excellent palate and a vast, encyclopedic knowledge of the vineyards of the Cote d'Or. Along with the recognized names, he got us in to visit some lesser-known but excellent negotiants who were kind enough to share some amazing wines. We walked the cellars, the production areas, and the vineyards while he gave a very educational commentary on what we were seeing. Most of all, the wines were fabulous, One of the Chablis Grand Cru forever changed my appreciation of that region. This tour was without doubt the best moments of my trip to France.

The responsiveness of the Authentica’s team remained very impressive; from email correspondences to the actual tour, they proactively worked with us on our tour itinerary. On the tour day, guided by their prior record of our visit, our itinerary was further refined as we proceeded on our tasting by our expert and fluent guide, Jeremy Durand. He brought us back to some of our previous experiences, and opened new doors for new and amazing discoveries. Our tour started from 930am to the evening, inclusive of a delicious Burgundian local lunch. There was plenty of drinking water in the comfortable car. At the end of the tour, we really felt that we have gained a better appreciation of the distinctiveness of Burgendy wines and vintages. They also went an extra mile to get a walking stick that helped me enjoy the day with my badly sprained ankle.

This was such an amazing, educational tour. Sebastian is an inviting and very knowledgeable tour guide who doesn't make you feel weird if you're not some kind of wine genius. I'm definitely coming back to the States feeling inspired to explore more wine around the world. And...the wine tastes incredible, of course.

We had a full day wine tour of Burgundy in late March with Authentica Tours. Our guide (and I am so sorry I do not recall his name) was incredible and provided us with an AMAZING amount of history of the region as well as information about the current state of the local wines. We enjoyed the private wine tastings at several local wineries and then had a lovely lunch in Ecrivit'Vin in Baune and had a chance to walk around the lovely town town. It was a day very well spent and well worth the cost! As an aside - we were with a family - wife was into wine, husband as not, child was too young. Our guide was took special care of all of them to make sure they were comfortable and happy with the tour. Excellent Service!!!

<p>We enjoyed a wonderful day tasting Grand Crus with Valentin. His knowledge and passion for the wine and all involved in the creation of the wine were wonderful and contagious. We were travelling with our 16 year old son and Valentin engaged with him in an educational and fun way that had him involved in the whole day. This is an experience of a lifetime and we have wonderful memories and a new store of knowledge to show for it!</p>

My husband and I spent a wonderful day with Thomas, our guide. He introduced us to the history and charm of an exceptional terroir. And not to spoil the tasting of excellent wines, his educational qualities and his good humor will make us return for a new getaway as soon as possible. We highly recommend it!
