the hotel is aging but our room had been renovated and was a decent size, bed was comfortable and breakfast was quite good.

Convenient location for visiting the old town center. Very helpful staff. The standard rooms are very small. Underground parking is very difficult for normal size sedans. The parking slots reserved for charging are decent size. Parking costs 20 euros + 30 euros flat rate for charging ! So small top up charging can get very expensive.

The hotel is a beautiful property the rooms are excellent, and the location is top. However, our two night stay started off with a very bad vibe caused by an arrogant receptionist, named Marianna. She made a whole fuss about us trying to get our car in the hotel parking without having made a parking reservation, complaining we were blocking other cars (while my wife was just waiting behind the wheel to have the gate opened). She did not find our reservation in the system after I gave at her request the family name of the one who had made the reservation, and even offered our passports. Finally she found a reservation and said it was for one room, whereas we booked two. All the while being unfriendly and obviously annoyed with my reasonable but far from perfect French. She kept asking unnecessary question (how many adults, how many children…this was all clearly inputted in our Agoda reservation). You can have a beautiful property, but when staff treats you like Marianna treated me, it leaves a bitter taste.
