Tigre Safari Delta (4 Hours Private Boat Tour, Buenos Aires View)

This adventure was truly magical. It offered such a unique glimpse into the lesser-known countryside outside Buenos Aires, exploring areas inaccessible by car through seemingly endless waterways surrounded by beautiful, exotic wildlife. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and charismatic, bringing the area to life with fascinating stories about its history, his experiences on past tours, and even his own childhood. His passion for the region made the experience feel especially personal and memorable. I genuinely loved this tour and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an unforgettable and completely different way to experience Buenos Aires beyond the city.

We had a provate tour with Severine in the Rio Parana delta next to the city of Tigre, 32 km north of Buenos Aires. It was briliantly organized and we enjoyed it a lot. Importantly, it is very different from all other options we found in Tigre. While those other tours spend a lot of time on completely uninteresting activities, like visiting the Puerto de Frutos (which is an ordinary tourist trap) or walking in Paseo Victorica (what you can do without any tour guide), Tigre Safaridelta takes you in a small boad deep and far into the labyrintine waterways and shows you different aspects of the Delta and life in it. Not to be missed when visiting Tigre.

We were looking to spend some time in the Tigre river and we are so happy we found Fernando and his company. We took an uber from Buenos Aires for less than 20$ Canadian and Fernando met us at the designated location. He had his Zodiac like boat parked a short distance away. So fantastic instead of the large Catamarans that have to stick to the main river. We were able to travel into all kinds of tributaries where we saw so much. - homes with only water access, birds, plant life etc. went all the way out where we could see Buenos Aires in the distance. Then to mud baths! Finally a beer and lunch at a cool boat access only restaurant. Fernando was so informative and passionate about this part of the world. We learnt a lot and laughed a lot. I don’t know how he knows his way around! Make sure you bring cash for lunch etc. and sunscreen and a hat! I wished that I had a bathing suit on to go into the water. A true experience - thank you!

This was an excellent half day on the Tigre Delta. We were met at the station and taken to the small inflatable boat where our adventure began. Our Guide Lautaro was very knowledgeable and his English was great (as my spanish is non existent). We were lucky because the water level was high which meant we could traverse all the smaller tributaries and get into see some of the more remote communities. The whole trip was very educational and interesting with a good mixture of flora, fauna and history. Couple of things to note. Make sure you have enough sun cream and bug spray. The stop for lunch was at a nice little local restaurant which served fresh homemade food but there were a lot of mosquitoes about.

Super friendly guide. The tour is very nice and can be tailored to individual needs. We cruised along beautiful little canals and had a wonderful time at a beach bar.

Absolutely fabulous experience! Fernando is so reliable and so very kind. His Zodiac driver was fantastic, spoke perfect English, and took us on a great tour and adventure. This is a must do during a visit to Buenos Aires!! It was our 26 year old son's very favorite day! 5 stars - highly recommend Fernando and his crew! Book it!

Sergio was a very fun guide, very knowledgeable of the local culture, who gave us a magnificent private tour, and showed islander life at Tigre!

My family and I were looking for a fun activity to do in Tigre. It was very hot and we wanted to get in the water and explore. This tour was awesome. We had two boats and split my large family of 12 between two boats. Safe and fun for all ages.

Unique and memorable experience on the Tigre Delta. Was a personalized tour. Lautaro was a wonderful guide and passionate about island life. We learned a lot about the nature and history of the region. He even welcomed us into his family home to share coffee and snacks, which added light to our cold and dreary day. Such a different experience from the hustle and bustle of Buenos Aries. Beautiful scenery through narrow tributaries not accessible by larger boats. Must do experience not to be missed! 6/5 stars!

We didn’t know what to expect from Tigre - our experience with Lautaro and Fernando exceeded all expectations !! Lautaro took our family of four on a completely personalized tour through the most beautiful waterways, great spots for swimming - beach hangout, great drinks and food, and even a special lookout spot with panoramic views of the city and the most soft clay touching our feet. My 3 year old , husband , 10 month old and I enjoyed a spontaneous mud bath spa treatment as we stopped to take in the serenity and magical views. My 10 month old was absolutely loving the wind on her face and Lautaro was extremely accommodating of all of our needs, going at a relaxed pace. HE gave us the detailed history of the place, the islanders, the way of life, Argentinian politics and history - and also taught us about Milonga and where to find the best food. Such a unique and special experience that our whole family loved - highlight of our trip so far and will recommend to all our friends ! Huge thanks to Fernando and Lautaro !!

We had a marvelous time with Etienne as our guide. He is so knowledgeable and really catered to the exact things we wanted to see. We started out with the small islands and went to some more private areas and some ecological reserve areas. We stopped for lunch at a really darling spot. He was so thoughtul- his English was fantastic (and he also speaks French). Highly recommend this!

We had such a great day with Fernando. It was so interesting going through the Delta and learning about how the local people live. It was totally fascinating. Fernando gave us great choices for lunch and we chose an awesome place with pizza and salads. It was so perfect. Fernando was such an amazing tour guide. My husband and I would totally recommend him for anyone wanting to explore this part of Buenos Aires. It was so good to get out of the city. I’m so glad that we did this activity!!

Good guide who knew the natural history and history of the delta and it's people. We asked for binoculars and swimming . Guide didn't bring binoculars out till end of tour. Very little bird life anyhow!! Never the chance to swim as promised? Things you see are not that exciting - we were overcharged for offsetting credit card fee also. expensive for what you get.

A wonderful experience to see the real locals living in this beautiful country, so much more than just looking at the cities, Etienne was a great guide for this tour and he was happy to change the tour to suit your needs.

This company is very accommodating. You can swim or not , you can eat at a restaurant or in a cute beach bar. Etiene was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a nice time.

We had a totally unexpected afternoon with Fernando in his boat on the Tigre Delta. We could never have imagined that so close to the centre of Buenos Aires was an area of such diversity and beauty. We swam in the warm water, saw bird and animal life and capped off the day with a delicious drink and snack on the waterfront. Do yourself a favour and spend some time with Fernando in his hidden gem.

Fernando took us into a world of BA we would never have known existed. He speaks excellent English. He is exceptionally warm and friendly and knows the area very well. We jumped on his boat and went down the river network of the Tigre region off of BA. The landscape is beautiful and you travel feeling like you are in the jungle. Hard to believe we are just outside a huge city like BA. We had a swim in the river which was 30 degrees Celsius. We went for a drink and snack at one of the fantastic little cafes along the river edge. Highly recommend this tour to see a part of BA that most tourists would miss. The trip was 3.5 hours and we loved every moment of our private charter. Thanks Fernando!

What a wonderful way to spend the afternoon! This was by far one of the best parts of our trip. We learned so much and thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride. Etienne was a wonderful guide and showed us a great time! El Tigre area is so unique and beautiful. We saw so many beautiful herons and other birds!

After spending a few days exploring the city this was such an interesting tour of another side of Buenos Aires. It’s lovely to get out of the city and learn about this unique community. Our guide Laucha was the absolute best! No other way to tour the Tiger Delta! If you have time definitely check it out. I will mention it’s a long day, we were there 6 hours, so prepare for that or just let your guide know and they can adjust the sights to accommodate you. They are very flexible!

We went out with Lautaro and had the BEST time!! We saw all kind of animals, beautiful nature and Lautaro was the perfect guide. He taught us all about the river and the island people. He is even a 2nd generation tour guide! He knows the river well and we got to wade in the water. The tour was affordable and a private trip down the river was well worth the price. We also saw the guide Fernando and he was welcoming and kind. He coordinated getting us out there and was a such a friendly face. I cannot recommend this tour enough.

We had an amazing time, Lauti told us alat about Tigre and Islanders life. We had a few great stops where we could walk through the river. Also went to a local pub, with a beach. And much more. Great experience.

Fernando offered us a private boat tour. We were worried that a small boat might not be very comfortable for a river trip. But everything was amazing – the tour, coffee under a tree at a local café, the breeze, the promised fresh air, and even swimming! There were three of us, and we had an unforgettable tour of the river and the Tigra area.

We had a fantastic safari trip, a great guide and they had all time of the world to show us around. Nature is beautifull and its a surprise to see how many people live in the Delta.

We had a fantastic time on the Tigre waterways discovering a new site with our guide Lautaro. Lautaro was very knowledgeable, could speak English well and shared a lot of information on the way of life on these islands, on fauna and flora...We had a peaceful and enjoyable time for our 4 hrs on the boat. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get away from the main city for an afternoon.

My daughter & I had a great tour on the Tigre Delta. We met Etienne at the kiosk on the Coastal Train platform & were immediately interested in the custom small boat tour that could accommodate the narrower & shallower channels of the delta for wildlife viewing. We saw many beautiful herons & he explained the new island’s formation. Very interesting! Etienne was very personable & hospitable. As a professional tour guide he crafted the perfect tour for us including a stop at a very laid back restaurant for lunch on an island. We enjoyed seeing the way of life for the people on the islands & adapted to this very special environment. We highly recommend this tour!

Our guide Sergio showed us all the amazing places to see in tres bocas and the natural park of tigre. He was really passionated by his work and explained us everything he knew about the place. As a bonus he even gave us a private tango class while making a break for lunch in one of these cute wooden house restaurants on the side of the river.

What a fantastic experience! We would not have been able to see much of Tigre without Fernando. He took us through beautiful river passages, local restaurants for a drink and private areas to swim. This is a tour you can't miss! We'll worth the price.

On our second day in Buenos Aires we took the Tigre delta safari with Fernando--what a great guy! Fernando was very informative about the local area, culture, and sites. Fernando was very experienced and really made this tour a delight. We had a lot of fun exploring the delate and walking through the water. I want to come back and buy a home on the river!!

WOWOOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW This team went above and beyond to give us an amazing 4-hour boat ride. It's a father and son who make you feel at home. The son speaks perfect English which was great. For me if it wasn't for them the 4-hour boat ride could have been a bit boring.

Fernando is the absolute best!! We had so much riding around the delta with him. He tailors each trip to his passengers. We hopped on with a bag of beers and were definitely in party mode, so he took us to an awesome little restaurant for lunch and out to the end of the delta, which was an absolutely amazing view. He is so super knowledgeable about the area, being a native himself, and I don’t doubt that he could give you a tour based on whatever you’re interested. He knew all about the flora, the fauna, the people. Everything, he’s an encyclopedia. Also this man has JOKES. I cannot recommend this tour enough. Ask him about the mud bath!

Fantastic trip that exceeded my expectations. I booked it to explore and photograph the river delta. Fernando spoke good English and was very knowledgeable about the area and enjoyed spending the afternoon with him. Highly recommend for a custom trip for the slightly more adventurous than the large tour boats. His zodiac was lots of fun and could get into very tight spaces. If your looking for comfort the larger boats would be better but for me I prefer the smaller more custom experience.

Fernando is impressive as a guide. We had a fantastic day and he showed us the culture of the delta and we also explored the preserve. Fernando is knowledgeable, fun and very experienced. It was a great experience that far exceeded my expectations.

A perfect day to experience el Tigre! Fernando gave us a peek into how the locals live and the community works together. He was a wealth of information and extremely kind and generous sharing so much of his life and time with us. We did not know what to expect going to el Tigre, and knew we did not want a “commercial” boat or experience. We left the day in awe and cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our day. If you’re on the fence about this experience, book it and don’t think twice!

Lautaro and his dad Sergio we’re SO nice and provided so much information it was honestly a really nice relaxed day on the water with great company.
