Our guide will pick you up from your hotel, and together you'll head north out of the city towards the charming town of Tigre.
Once in Tigre, enjoy a relaxing 40-minute catamaran cruise through the picturesque delta. Discover the unique lifestyle of island residents, complete with floating services such as water taxis and supermarket boats. During the cruise, you’ll glide past landmarks like the iconic Parque de la Costa amusement park, the prestigious Club de Regatas La Marina, and the historic Sarmiento House Museum—former home of President Domingo Faustino Sarmiento.
Visit this traditional riverside market, known for its handicrafts, home décor, regional products, and souvenirs. Take time to browse the stalls and discover local goods. Continue along Paseo Victorica, a scenic waterfront avenue bordering the Luján River. See the surroundings of the Tigre Art Museum and the City Council building, known for their architecture and picturesque setting.
If this option is selected, the tour concludes with a full lunch at one of Buenos Aires' most renowned restaurants — Rodizio Madero, perfectly located along the docks with stunning views of the iconic Woman’s Bridge. Indulge in a delicious three-course meal (drinks not included), featuring a variety of premium meat cuts, along with an abundant selection of appetizers, side dishes, and desserts. Set in an elegant waterfront atmosphere, paired with exceptional service, this dining experience offers the perfect finale to your tour — blending gourmet flavors with one of the city’s most iconic views for a truly unforgettable moment.

We had a fantastic experience! Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and explained everything clearly. Tigre is a charming and vibrant place, with plenty to explore at Puerto de Frutos. We also loved seeing the beautiful and unique houses on the islands. Definitely a memorable tour!
We did this tour in July and really enjoyed it. Everything was very easy from the start, the confirmation was clear, the organization was great, and the whole experience went smoothly. Our guide was one of the highlights. He was friendly, funny, and shared lots of interesting facts about the Río de la Plata and Tigre without making it feel like a history lesson. The boat ride was beautiful and it was a really nice way to discover a different side of Buenos Aires. We had a great time and would definitely do it again. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful day with Roxana exploring El Tigre Delta and the surrounding areas. She is very knowledge and gave us a fantastic tour. This is a perfect way to get to know this part of the country.
The beginning of the tour was great I enjoyed the ride to Tigre and the boat ride was wonderful. However, the stop at an outlet center was much too long. It seemed to simply be chosen so we would spend money.
We had a wonderful time! Our guide was very well informed and gave clear and precise explanations, and Tigre is lovely and full of life. There was so much to see at Puerto de Frutos and some of the island houses are very cute
Absolutely fabulous guide Anahi, they really made it for us. Excellent knowledge of the area and such a lovely helpful and kind. I have back issues and they were very understanding. The restaurant we stopped at made the best chicken sandwich and the banana crepe was delicious. I would totally recommend this trip.
This is a very smooth ride for those who need something more stable for their group. The guide was excellent and repeated everything in 3 languages with ease. This is an interesting part of Argentina and you should see it. Pick up at the pier seemed to be new to the, so use WhatsApp to track your location if on a cruise.
Don't know, never picked up. Emailed us to travel to another pick up point, waited for an hour the transportation, never showed up. Called and texted, no response.
The Tigre Delta was amazing, particularly for me, a boat lover. Boats everywhere, boat buses, boat taxis, school boats, mobile supermarket boats etc. Boat tour company were disorganised, we ended up on the wrong boat!
The tour was okay. The tour was conducted mainly in Spanish followed by a briefer English translation. As someone who is partially deaf, I found it difficult to follow the rapid transition in language. Would have preferred an English only tour due to that. Guide was pleasant and knowledgeable
Great boat ride. Great scenery. Learned a lot about the area. Lucy, the tour guide, who took us to and from the boat but did not go on the boat with us, was very sweet. Did not like the area that we went to after the boat to shop and “get a snack”. Most places were closed. It was lunchtime and we were hungry. No place to eat lunch so we “snacked”. Maybe add a half hour more to the tour time and pick a better area to eat.
We enjoyed the city tour because it covered a part of Buenos Aires we hadn’t seen, but the boat ride down the Tigre was wonderful. It was fascinating to see and learn about the lifestyle of people who lived along the river.
the first two stops were a waste of time, especially the half hour coffee break after half hour trip. then i would have liked to see at least one small channel without houses and civilazation...
Very friedlich guides. We received quote some Information on the way. The Boot Tour itself was buitiful
Tour was great. The boat ride was very good, except it was pretty crowded onboard. The best tip is to stay on top of the vessel and avoid the main cabin with seats. Use your sunscreen!
We weren't sure what to expect but this tour and guide did not disappoint us. Very informative and very well organized.
The tour was a great way to get out of BA and see something very different!! Perfect length of time, great pick up and drop off service, good guide and loved seeing the Tigre Delta!! Very interesting!!!
We enjoyed the boat ride in Tigre, including the narration, and it gives you an experience of a very different part of Buenos Aires. It takes a while to get there and back, and we had already seen most of the landmarks we passed early on. They did a good job of picking people up, but at the end of it, you have to get back to where you started. This limits its usefulness for cruise travelers. We were able to make it back to the ship, but lack of good metro or bus service to the port necessitates a taxi ride to get back there and eliminates any plans you might make for doing other things after the tour. Would be a better choice for non-cruisers.
At first I was sceptical with the price being the cheapest and if we would be crammed into a bus or boat which wasn't the case. Our tour guide was great, we had a couple of unexpected stops which broke up the journey. The boat had air-conditioning, comfy chairs inside (approx. 40 people) and you could stand out at the back once the boat was moving in the fresh air if preferred. You get a tiny cup of sweet coffee and a little cake 5 mins into the boat trip. The other boats had a lot more people (approx. 90), some with two floors and wooden bench seating. They dropped me off near the cemetery and weekend craft market en route back. I booked a second tour the following day using the same operator because they were so efficient and friendly.
The tour wasn’t as described. We went straight to the boat. It was not a catamaran. Just an old boat and very crowded, hot, dirty, and difficult to see anything. Then we took a short tour of San Isidro. If we had gone in the order described, we would have ended at the boat and we would have stayed in that area for a while. Then made our own way back on the train. We were supposed to take the train back which didn’t happen because we had the rest of the tour after the boat. Do it on your own.
Nice excursion to some surrounding areas of Buenos Aires. Enjoyed the route, the narration of our very knowledgeable and personable guide, Sol, and the pace of the afternoon. The Tigre Delta area is quite unique and the one hour boat tour around a few of the islands was very pleasant and interesting. Additionally, Sol said they could drop us off anywhere in the city on our return. It was our last day and we wanted to see El Ateneo, so we were dropped off a few blocks from there. Great experience!
The boat trip was very nice and we felt for the price it was right. Our guide Laura was polite and knowledgeable. Pickup and drop off were excellent.
The operator advanced the departure time by 45 minutes, on the tour day, so we cannot participate in the trip.
We were placed in an enclosed boat which made it difficult to view the scenery We opted for the boat ride back to Buenos Aires but once leaving the Delta there was nothing worth looking at
We enjoyed the river tour seeing the Le Tigre area was interesting we the went to the fruit/craft market and had a nice lunch. We walked some more, rode the city bus and then onto the commuter train the train was a cultural experience in itself, entertainment and vendors included!
The ride was the best part of the trip, the guide was very knowledgeable of the history and made it fun to listen to her by telling some captivating stories. She was the perfect ambassador of Argentina. The boar ride was nice and lasted about 1:15 mins it does provide a perspective on the size of the river and delta but aside from vacation homes along the shores, the scenery is limited to water and trees. All and all it was a nice break from the city and a good education on the history of the region. I would highly recommend it.
The guide was difficult to understand. It seemed that she spoke much, much more in Spanish than in English. I do not believe she translated everything she said in Spanish into English. The boat ride was good, but not very informative. Overall, the tour was not very interesting.
We booked the full day version of this tour on a Monday. The tour started quite well with an interesting boat ride up the Plate River then through the delta, with coffee and a cupcake. The tour was supposed to include time at some museums and a fruit market in Tigre, but all are closed on Mondays. It was also pouring with rain so we took a city tour bus instead of walking around Tigre - but unfortunatley the first bus was full and we had to wait in the pouring rain for another bus (there's no bus shelter). We had little time for lunch so ended up having a quick snack at Starbucks before taking the train back to Buenos Aires. The train is a regular commuter train. Nothing to see, particularly given the rain and the shaded windows. The trip was made particularly unpleasant by hawkers and beggars who kept coming into the carriage and shouting at the passengers. We would have been better off making our own way there.
The tour and tour leader was good but unfortunately they picked us up more than one hour with delay and no one call or text you to update you of the situation. It has room to be better
Got picked up at 2.20, clean van and pleasant. It took an hour to pick up the other guests from 3 other different hotels. It would have been a perfect occasion for our guide to talk to us and tell us what we were driving by, but no commentary only started when we were all on board. Spanish first, English second then Portuguese. My Spanish is not that good but I could hear that the English translation was only a part of what had been said in Spanish. Why? Poor girl I felt sorry for the little training she had obviously been given. On arrival at Tigre we stopped for 45 minutes at the mercado de frutos which is in my opinion a terrible market. The two hour cruise was very good with good commentary. The cruise finished in Puerto Madero and we got a choice of making our own way back to the hotel or been dropped of at Obelisco.
The tour we took was great and our guide, Alejandra, was so friendly and professional. We really enjoyed the full day at Tigre. Our favorite part was the ride along the river, especially just the last mile or so, before arriving at the town. The tour provided very complete information as well. I recommend it for sure.
We were told to be at the office for pick up at 8.45am. We arrived a little early so as not to hold anybody up but the bus arrived at 9.15. This was followed by 2 hours on a bus for a very dull boat trip that could have been over in 10 minutes. A wasted morning when there are so many other things to see.
Pick up at hotel on time highly unusual in this very busy city. Took the scenic route with a stop in a picturesque town. The boat tour was about an hour with commentary in at least 3 languages. It was absolutely worth while
Half day bus tour with a 1 hour cruise of the delta. Well organized with hotel pick up and return to the city centre as scheduled and the cruise boat was waiting when we arrived in Tigre. Unfortunately the delta is not that interesting. All the original fruit farms have been replaced by weekend or vacation homes and there’s not really much to see. There’s better ways to spend an afternoon in Buenos Aires.
We enjoyed a very pleasant day from start to finish. A lovely cruise down the delta, then a great visit to the charming town of Tigre. Our guide Carlos was outstanding and extremely helpful. A mellow and enjoyable trip.
Guide was nice but the pick-up was late. We had to wait about 50 minutes. Also, we don't see much of it. The ride on the boat at this time of the year is not that interesting.
We did the full day “tour”, but in retrospect should have done a half day or skipped Tigre delta altogether. The tour just includes your boat ticket (nice boat ride), your bus ticket within Tigre (nothing to see), and your “train” ticket back (just a lite rail, no view of anything interesting. Had 90 min to spend at Tigre market but by the time we finished lunch there was no time left. The tour guide helped us get from point A to point B but didn’t provide much additional info about the places we were visiting. Could easily do this half day trip on your own by buying the boat ticket and buying the return lite rail train ticket. No need to book a “tour”.
I truly love "Tigre". The ships coming and going all the time. I really like to visit "mercado de pulgas" on weekends too. I was there on may in 2017 and I wish to come back one of this days.
We are fluent in Spanish. That saved us from a total disaster as the tour guide provided by Tangol was incompetent. She hardly spoke to us. The boat ride to Tigre was good. The bus tour in Tigre was supposed to be in a city bus. We decided not to wait for the city bus and walked instead. Then the nightmare stated. The return to Buenos Aires was supposed to be a train ride. When we found out that actually it would be a train ride, a bus ride and another train ride we asked about taking a taxi after the first train. The tour guide advised not to do so since it is a different province and would take over an hour. Now, after getting off the first train, the guide took us through a sewage run-off, where we were splashed by a passing car. At this point we decided to ignore her advise and took a taxi. It actually took less than 20 minutes. Fortunately we are fluent in Spanish and could find a solution ourselves.
Spent the first hour driving around BA picking up guests. Then 3/4 h ride in a minibus and then a 1h cruise through the delta. Muddy brown water and not very interesting. Could not hear the commentary and at times the boat seemed to go too fast. On the return journey we stopped at a cathedral for half an hour, just enough time for a coffee and empanada. Then we were dropped off downtown and had to make our own way back to our hotel.
Enjoyable and informative and while our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgible she spoke very quickly and combined with the somewhat distorted microphone on the transport, we found it hard to follow.
Laura our guide was excellent! The combination of water and land cruise was a great way to see the city skyline and Tigre island. Had a relaxed day and would recommend the trip.
Victor, our guide, provided excellent service. There were two groups totalling 4 people. Tour price included boat to Tigre, hop on hop off bus in Tigre and train fare back to BA city. We enjoyed lunch on our own at Puerto de Frutos. We walked to tour office from the Cruise Port. Because of major street construction between the 2 points a 30 minute walk took 45 minutes. Suggest a taxi ride. The area near the bus station is a street crime area. Keep the cameras out of sight.
We were picked up promptly and taken to Tigre while we appreciated the outskirts of Buenos Aires. The boat trip is interesting but had no free time at all. (We took the half day trip since we were advised that all there is to do in Tigre is the boat ride). Ok but not great.
Fine one day trip. It was fine. Nothing else to report except frustration will need for 100 characters to complete .
Pick up at selected hotel on time, nice trip to Tigre. Maybe a 5 min stop in San Isidro just to take a picture would be great. The guide was repeating same things in Spanish Portuguese and English.. Amazing!!!
Picked up on time. Very pleasant guide. Cathedral interesting in San Isidro but market stalls only partially occupied. Had to wait to get on the boat but it was a very comfortable well equipped vessel and it was an interesting ride.
The trip to to Tigre Delta was nice and the boat trip really beautiful! During the bus ride to Tigre the guide (Elba) told a lot of interesting facts about Baires and the surroundings. She was also really helpful and let us borrow her phone to make a phone call!
My wife and I booked this tour and were really looking forward to it having read good reports. We waited at the appointed place and time to be picked up but no one came. Worse still no one answered our calls to ask what had happened. Spoke to somone this morning who said there had been a mix up and we would be refunded. Doesn't help the feelings of being badly let down. As I can't give zero stars I'll have to settle for one for being refunded.
