The boat tour was enjoyable. The communication re: the added Grill Lunch ($25 per person) was sadly lacking. At no time prior to getting on the tour van were we advised the grill lunch would be at the end of the boat tour & we would be dropped off at a restaurant near the Obelisk. We were also not told that we would not be returned to our accommodation at the end of the boat tour, but would have to get ourselves back. The restaurant food was terrible & the service wasn’t any better.

This excursion was more than we expected! Martina was an amazing guide! Well done! I feel we got more than just the Tigre Delta tour. Also, you MUST do the add-on lunch! Oh my goodness, it was AMAZING!
For half a day, it is nice tour. If you can find some other better activity, I would suggest doing that. Nothing special that you will see. Definitely don’t fall into tourist. Trap area for shopping. I booked Tour with lunch, but I would recommend doing lunch at your own.
A world away from the city, this hour long cruise gives you a water view of the city and the canal homes (many with no modern amenities). Stop at Tigre Fruit Market a highlight and wish we had more time there.
Having seen Tigre and the delta on Race Across the World I wanted to take this trip. We were however blown away by both Tigre and the delta to the extent we want to return and stay longer next time.
We were picked up about 75 minutes late. No communication, we asked the hotel to call, they did, and lots of false promises. Once we finally arrived at el Tigre, the guide announced that the program would be reduced due to their late arrival. We walked along the river, went to a tourist trap (vendor) area, then rode a boat back to Buenos Aires- which was nice. 80% of the guides explanations were in Spanish and useless to us. One of the poorest excuses for what could have been a nice morning tour.
Beware this trip is advertised falsely. It was 4 hours in a minibus and just 2 hours on the river. It is a small ferry not a boat that they show the picture of. There is nothing premium about this. I would not recommend this to anyone.
Everything was excellent. Very friendly people, nice views, smooth ride, and the trip was very interesting and exciting.
This was a great way to to explore the tigre delta and meet new people. Our guide was Ashe and she was amazing! Very knowledgeable in regards to the history and explained everything in detail along the way. I didn't think this would be as fun as it was but the boat ride was relaxing and beautiful. I was alone and had a great time and would recommend.
Frankly it’s a cheat. The “premium tour” starts with only 12 people but then takes the same boat as all the other (cheaper) tours with 200 other people. It’s not the one on the photo! The old and uncomfortable bus without suspension on broke down on the way back from Tigre (what can happen) and it took more than an hour to get another one. No apology from the agency. All very disappointing. Our guide Martina in contrary did a great job (otherwise only one star)
There was a misunderstanding regarding the lunch i was charged by the restaurant when it said it was included i reported this to the tour guide and they promptly refunded me. Very professional and honest
The best part was a Tigre's building of the museum. Supposedly should be after French. But to me look very much Portuguese. Expected so much more. But got very little. I travel with viator.com a lot. But this tour was total disappointment. Not much to see, not much to do. Guide was very nice. Directed tour on 3 languages. Pick up on time.just not much to see. Skip it, unless you have absolutely nothing to do with your time and money. Dinner was after tour, back in BA. It was good.
The pictures on the website are deceiving. You take a big boat all the way to Tigre with a recording of the history of the Tigre Delta. Then you get in a mini van for a couple stops and then go back to Buenos Aires. There are no free snacks as advertised. The lunch was good, but very awkward because they drop you off at the restaurant and the rest of the group go to 2 more stops. Also, guide did not understand English well. So it was difficult to get answers to our questions. Not worth the money.
This was a great excursion. Sophie our guide was fabulous. If you are looking for something different, definitely go on this boat tour. You will see a different side of Buenos Aires.
It was a nice tour. Not great. No time on our own. And issue with thr lunch we purchased. Guide left and we were left trying to communicate with the staff. All worked out just a bit confusing
Boat Ride was interesting. Seeing the different houses. The only thing was it said refreshments were included on the boat and we did not receive any. When asking the guide she said they were not. Please advise as was that a misprint?
Overall the trip to Tigre and back was definitely something I’d recommend. Deducting two stars because: - Unclear communications about the specifics of the itinerary left the entire group wondering what the heck the overall agenda looked like. - This lack of clarity caused our entire to be very hangry by the time we made it to lunch at around 2:30/3pm. - Our guide was an hour+ late to pick us up from the location: standing outside of a hotel among groups of other individuals going on various tours. I understand why tours pick up at the same hotels but there should be better communication to attendees as to what to expect. - This tardiness caused the “on the ground” stops at the Tigre museum and the touristy artisan market to be VERY rushed. - Once on the boat, it was great! We had a beautiful day for it. - Our tour guide Fatima was very nice and apologetic. - I think the boat broke some boating rules by charging straight through what appeared to be a sailboat regatta. There were some not-so-safe maneuvers the captain made, and some not-so-happy sailors because of it. To help future travelers, here’s the basic agenda of the Premium Tigre boat tour: 9-9:30am: get picked up from the front of a hotel. If you’re not staying at that hotel, you must make your way there by 9am. Followed by: - 30-45 minute bus ride to Tigre on a highway - A stop to look at the outside of a beautiful museum in Tigre. No bathrooms available. - A stop at a touristy artisan market (bathrooms, snacks, drinks available. If you’re hungry or thirsty, I recommend getting something here, and going to the restroom) - The tour boat departs at noon on the dot. - Getting on the boat, someone takes a pic of your party. They will later try to sell this to you while onboard. They accept cash only, which would have been good to know. - It’s a two hour boat ride from Tigre back to BA. I believe there is a cash-only snack bar onboard. And probably a bathroom but I’m not sure. - At 2pm you dock back in BA. If you purchased the lunch as part of your tour, you are taken by the bus to a touristy but delicious steak house where you choose from a prix fixe menu. You sit down to lunch at around 2:30/3pm. Alcohol is not included in the prix fixe price (which is totally fine just making others aware.) Tip is not included and is cash only, which would have been good to know. - Whether you leave straight from the dock or from the lunch location, you are in charge of getting yourself back to wherever it is you are staying. That all said, I wish some of these details had been communicated ahead of time. So hopefully someone finds this helpful! I’d definitely recommend this excursion.
This tour was an excellent experience. Our guide Yael made the experience even better. She is very insightful and quickly switched to three different languages to answer any questions and provided very detailed information including historical facts. The boat ride through the delta was beautiful. The bus portion was also good. My only complaint is not having enough time at the Mercado de Frutos. 30 minutos was not enough to explore such a beautiful market. I’d definitely recommend this tour. It was one of the highlights of our trip to Buenos Aires.
It was great to see Buenos Aires from the water and then to see a totally different area where the houses are all on stilts. The guide was very good and got the group to the boat in good time so that we could have seats on deck. A super morning followed by lunch.
Wonderful to see Buenos Aires from the water and Tigre Delta was beautiful. Fantastic knowledgeable guide. Lunch was good , too.
Traveling thru the waterways and seeing the various houses and the unique lifestyle of the inhabitants.
Lionel was the bilingual guide for a large group of customers. The most interesting part of the tour was the boat ride on Rio de la Plata and on the Tigre Delta. There was English narration on the boat, however a better experience would have been for Lionel to provide more information about the Rio de la Plata (i.e. geography & hydrology) and other information about the Tigre Delta, such as how people live on the canals, type of plants seen along the canal, etc. (I didn't realize this until a day after the tour, we were supposed to be provided w/ coffee & alfajor during the cruise, but weren't told about it.) At the end of the cruise we were taken to Puerto de Frutos (Fruit Port), which I thought was a fruit market, but that was what it was in its previous incarnation. It's actually a craft market, with dozens of stalls selling a variety of food products, furniture, clothing & accessories, home decor and knickknacks. All other points of interest on the driving portion of the itinerary were met.
Our guide, Pablo, should have been more interactive with us. No real discussion about cultural history. Disappointed being dropped in a “tourist trap” for shopping and then herded to terminal. We purchase the tour and lunch package but we weren’t offered lunch until end of your at 2:30. This wasn’t clear in brochure. We had to skip it. Bottled water should have been provided. Boat ride back to Buenos Aires through the Delta was interesting. Other guide was providing interesting factoids, ours was resting.
Lovely guide. We had nearly an hour to shop at the Puerto Fruta--I really wasn't interested in a shopping experience. For those who like to shop--some beautiful things. The boat ride was pleasant, but there was only a little area in the back to be outside with no seating. Depending on where you were sitting, you couldn't take photos easily and the trip was not particularly interesting. Hard to hear the narration.
Tigre Cruising: the Rio de Plata & Tributaries with commentary. Guide Antonella was very sweet @ informative. She has excellent E flush. The ship’s indoor reclining seats were very comfortable & A/C worked well. Outdoor seating was very limited in a small Fan Tail location. Optional 3 course Lunch @ The Grill Restaurant (Very close to Capitol Monument) was Very Good. Our lovely English Speaking Waitress gave us a glass of Sparkling Wine on the House. My Only complaint is that the ship in your excursion photo was different for this Tigre Premium Excursion/River Cruise. This was misleading. You should show the actual Yacht you are using.
The best part was Delta trip on the boat where you can see all the river and the houses and little beaches around it
It was a beautiful day , which made the cruise that much more enjoyable. Our guides and drivers made everything very easy , great communication from the pick up to the drop off. A small group is definitely ideal as it was very relaxed. I enjoyed seeing the ares outside the city.
The boat ride through Tigre Delta is one of those things I highly recommend. I am very pleased that I chose this company. The pick up at the cruise port was efficient and easy. Once aboard the transport, everything went smoothly. The boat ride was great and the traveler gets to see the Buenos Aires province district and its natural beauty. This is a great way to sightsee Tigre Delta, see a different landscape and spend some time far from the hustle of the city.
We took this morning tour in a comfortable and well maintained mini-bus that picked us up at our hotel and dropped us off at port. Our guide was Martin. Very knowledgeable of the history and the city. You can feel that he loves guiding. We took the boat and had an excellent view of the city, very beautiful indeed. Next, we sailed around Tigre islands and took the minibus-bus again to San Isidro which is a historic neighborhood in the north area. We really learned a lot and enjoyed the tour. Great job guys!
Sailing from downtown Buenos Aires to the delta. A pleasant experience
1. There are too few seats on the outside deck and they see nothing from the cabin. So it can happen to you that they have to stand the whole journey. 2. Misleading travel description. There is no stop with admission included (point 2 of the detailed itinerary) but the ship races at top speed across the Rio de la Plata to El Tigre, because it takes passengers there again for the return journey. Here you will be abandoned at Puerto de Frutos and will be asked to buy "crafts" for 30 minutes. Rip off the worst kind, Made in China quality. Nobody in our group wanted to see this, they were all just waiting for the bus for the return trip. The real sights of El Tigre, such as the beautiful museum or the boulevard with cafes etc. definitely do not see and experience them. You don't have time for a stroll through El Tigre. Overall far too expensive for 60 minutes boat ride, 30 minutes Puerto de Frutos and 60 minutes bus return. Conclusion: Maybe interesting for mass tourists but with VIP this has nothing to do.
Our guide Sofia a very friendly and charismatic person, as well as all her guides, very instructed about the tour they are guiding Our driver Walter nice person
A wonderful 5 hours. The boat is nice, clean and stable. The scenery on both sides of the river is beautiful along the way. The ride back was also very scenic. We got off the bus at the Pacific Arcade, went shopping in this beautiful building with historical value, and took a lot of photos. The staff of the travel company are very experienced and friendly, and their explanations in English are detailed and clear. This tour is a great option outside of downtown Buenos Aires.
No es premium, no es un tour. Solo es transporte a la ciudad de tigre con regreso o ida por el río. Poca información de los guías y las fotos no reflejan la realidad
The boat ride was excellent. The tiger walk was very good. But with food things went very badly for us. We wanted to pay a difference to order something off the menu. And they didn't want to accept it. Poor quality food
A wonderful surprise! I loved the walk! Very nice to know how the lifestyle of people living in this Delta is! Interesting Mt! I recommend
Great boat ride and views. A shame that was so brief. Maybe hours could be added. Micaela the guide gave us information and advice
Juliana fue mi guía durante el tour y nos explico muy bien la historia de tigre y tuvimos buen tiempo para tomar fotos y hacer compras en los lugares que paramos. Muy divertido y muy linda experiencia.
The boat tour lasts 1h45 then they leave us at the obelisk from where we must return by ourselves to our Hotel. There is also a free time 1h at fruit market
The visit was very pleasant. However there is no snack in the boat. I had taken the option of lunch and lunch is in Buenos Aires, not in Tigre, so we have to wait for the return of the excursion to eat and drink at no extra charge, that is around 3pm!!! I advise not to take this option, a choripan on site will do the trick.
We liked the trip on the Tiger and Leandro, our guide, was very friendly and his comments were relevant.
