The dancers were great. But too much singing

Reviews
Excellent tango show with singers and dancers and Folklore Gaucho style. It had a little of everything and the servers and entrance people were Excellent Mr Merlin!! Super friendly at the door. Highly recommend this Show!
Great show, an incredible evening with an excellent dinner—a really good time.
Amazing experience. The dinner was perfect, the service amazing and no words to describe the show.
Excellent show. They have an incredible production team and keep the audience engaged throughout the night. 100% recommend
Great show, good meal and service. Well worth the time and money.
This tango show blew away the tango show we saw in Barcelona! This show is a top notch Las Vegas type production
INCREDIBLE SHOW!!! The performers were incredible, food was good, and the atmosphere was beautiful!!
Great time! Highly recommend!
We absolutely loved it! Such a beautiful experience for a special evening out. The food was delicious, and we’re so happy we chose this company. The dancers were incredible, and the costumes were simply stunning.
Too much time between the time they told us to be there and the time the show started. Did not need almost 3 hours for dinner. Also, too little tango relative to other acts. Food and service was great
Absolutely amazing show and I would highly recommend it if you are visting Buenos Aires. The performances were amazing and featured great dancing, as well as aerobatics and exceptional singing. Although it says it's a "tango show" it was so much more than that and gave me a wonderful experience of Argentine culture. The food and drinks were great as well!
In researching which Tango show we should go to whilst in Buenos Aires the first decision was should we go to a good restaurant for dinner and then go to a show or should we go to a show which is also a restaurant. I decided that Senor Tango had the most positive reviews so I booked it for dinner and show. The first thing to say is the location is quite a way from the centre of Buenos Aires. However we got there and were shown to our table. First impressions is this is quite glitzy. Then our waiter came who didn't speak a word of English. We asked for menus but he went away to bring another waiter who spoke a little English. He explained that they don't have menus and told us what food we could order - Pasta, Fish or Steak! The food came and it was quite clearly mass catering. Then after dinner the show began with a pre-recorded message in Spanish and then in English telling us that you cannot take photos. That was the only English spoken the whole evening. The dancers were excellent but was spoilt with two male singers who sang for far too long in Spanish and also one of them spoke for far too long in Spanish which meant nothing to us as we were English. I don't understand why Senor Tango have produced a very glitzy show, quite clearly designed for an international audience, and all the singing and speaking is only in Spanish. By the way, the original pre-recording telling you not to take photos didn't work because lots of people did!
They took my reservation for a different night. I was left alone in my hotel lobby. I had to pay for a taxi on my own . They Promised a credit never given. The hostess was nasty and told me she won’t credit anything. Show average but food was good
It was a great show, a must see. My family loved it. Fernando Soler got the audience engaged in singing, and had many famous guests join him. The dance and the food served was also great.
The quality of the show was very good but the place was little cramped. Food choices for vegetarians was understandably less.
An unbelievably good experience, a spectacular show in a truly fantastic setting. It is theatre in the round with Broadway production values. The dancing, singing and whole presentation was first rate and we urge anyone reading this to book it as the must-see tango show in Buenos Aires - or perhaps the whole of Argentina. It is that good. The food and wine were excellent too. If we could go the 11 we would! One warning, it can take 30 minutes to get there from Recoleta - the evening traffic can be awful.
I first visited Señor Tango with my family in 2005 during a trip to Buenos Aires, and we had a wonderful time at the show. On my recent trip in November 2025, I decided to return, and all I can say is Wow! Although the show was excellent before, it was truly spectacular this time. From the dancing to the acrobatics, the equestrian performance, the music, lighting, service, and atmosphere, everything was far beyond what I expected. The production was world-class, and all of this came at a very reasonable price. We chose not to have dinner before the show, but even without the meal, the experience was unforgettable. We selected the pick-up and drop-off option, which worked well on the way to the venue. However, the return trip was a little confusing, as we were combined with another bus and my partner and I ended up separated from each other on the same bus. Next time, we will simply hire an Uber for a more stress-free ride home. Other than that minor issue with transportation, the show and the service were nothing short of amazing. I highly recommend Señor Tango to anyone who wants to see the very best tango show in Buenos Aires. You will not be disappointed!
The show was amazing. The food was just ok at best. I would def see the show and skip the dinner. Sound system was a bit off and one of the singers looked like they were lip singing some parts. Other than that everyone was super talented
Wow! What a fun night. I didn’t know what to expect but this was so fun! You have to go while in BA. The food was really good too!
Fantastic show, dinner and service excellent, unforgettable night !!! Location quite nice, dancers and music amazing !!! Really recommended !!!
we booked the Tango Dinner experience. we’re seated right away upon arrival and check in. Our waiter was great. Appetizers was like spinach lasagna, very tasty followed by a strip steak which was cooked tour liking at medium rare. served with rice and french fries. The steak was top quality. we also had two bottles of Malbec which was included in the ticket price. The show was amazing , the dancers were great and do wax the music ensemble.
Beautiful show! Very professional! Excellent Production! I began to enjoy tango! We didn't have dinner, but we had some drinks a appetizers that were good. I recommend it!
We were underwhelmed by the venue upon arrival. The dancers and singers themselves did a nice job, but the setting is lackluster. Took us a while to explain to the staff we were willing to pay for drinks above and beyond their house offering which was included with the price of the ticket. Once accomplished, we enjoyed champagne and craft beer. However, once we were finished, no one ever returned to see if we wanted more . It’s difficult to flag your server down in this type of setting without being disruptive so you rely on them to check in? Lastly, the venue explicit in their request not to use your phones to film or take pictures. However, did nothing to enforce this request.
Not enough tango dances; 1 aerial. Orchestra had 6 solo #’s. Senor Tango did 25 min of talking & singing . Poor transportation.
What a magic experience. Professional and wonderful dancing. The dinner we had was also excellent with a welcome champagne. Would highly recommend this venue.
Fantastic experience , great show , a fun evening out. We did show only. Well worth it. Completed the Buenos Aires experience!
What I paid for and what I got totally different! Very cold atmosphere, transport was not delivered as described. I had to fight with the female driver to take me back to the port at 12:30 midnight. The get to the show I received a text message to take an Uber close to the site.
It’s starts off with live horses!! Such an amazing show that taught me to have a strong respect for the tango. Especially loved the energy from the curly haired guitar player. Happy and full of energy. sooo good!
Very professional and well done. Food was excellent! The steak was out of this world! A must see !!!
Amazing show. History, stories, lots of Tango and a celebrated Argentinian singer accompanied by fantastic musicians. The lights and stage crew work extra hard on this show as well. Watch out for the special extras at the start, a gentleman scaling the side of the room for one act and of course all ending with - Don’t cry for me Argentina.
The show was well worth the wait. Didn’t start till 10:15 pm so quite late. The water service was a 5/10 but the actual show was incredible. Go and see this !!
A lot of waiting for pick up and for the show to start. It doesn't start until 10:15pm. We were waiting in the hotel lobby from 8:30. Show production was tacky/cheesy. The costumes, most of the dancing, and the on-stage musicians were good. One dancing couple didn't know what they were doing and were behind in every single group dance. The singing from the sweaty Senor was the worst and made the show drag. The duos that danced and the one female singer were entertaining.
It is a Broadway Tango Show with all the great elements of the best authentic Buenos Aires Tango artists !! It is amazing ! The show top A+ but no skip dinner
The show has too many unnecessary fillers that has nothing to do with tango. The prelude or the beginning of the show is not sensitive to the original people of Argentina . The ending of the show is a copy of the Play Evita. The song is for Madonna and has nothing to do with Tango.
It was an awesome Tango Show, and a must do in Buenos Aries. It is broadway style show. Service is great too.
A spectacular show. We opted for the dinner which went beyond expectations and my steak was one of the best I had. Senor Tango himself was entertaining and the dancers, band and singers were great. The hotel transfers were efficient and would recommend if an option.
Great tango show! A bit strange on the start- not sure why there were horses. The dancers were incredible - so talented and sexy! The owner did sing a bit, but perhaps I was expecting it based on other reviews. The few songs that were sung by him and a dancer were okay, nothing special. One dance number was very strange - like prostitution dancing. But overall the charisma of the men, and the strength and beauty of the dancing was incredible - so beautiful to watch! We skipped the dinner, so were seated in the corner. Could still see the show very well. And the accordion player was almost the star of the show! Very easy to get an Uber to and from the show.
Recommend to book with dinner due to show time, and food was good while first time is average my steak was high quality perfectly cooked, will advise management for different sides ( grilled vegetables), using provided transportation worked seamless, that's for logistics. Then the Show, I know there are different option in BA for sure this is one of the best, the performers and whole show are one of best I have seen. Have to complain...understanding why...not allowing pictures is pretty tough, they should allow at least one window for the memories and sharing, All in: Golden Star
The show was absolutely fantastic - an amazing, breathtaking and mesmerising show. We chose steak for our main course - it was cooked to perfection and full of flavour - everything you could possibly hope for with Argentinian steak - potion size was huge! If you go to just one show in Buenos Aires - make it this!
The Senor Tango Show with Dinner is the show to go to. Dinner was awesome (maybe not for vegetarians) but the steak was amazing as was staff. The Venue was perfect with live horses at the start to reflect the history. And the dance, if only I could be that flexible - it was wonderful.
I have to admit that I was initially skeptical about this show. I thought it might be very kitschy and I'm not keen on staying up late. I ended up enjoying it far more than I thought I would. Previous reviews complained about a lot of talking in Spanish but I did not have this experience. Perhaps they have responded to the reviews? The dinner was actually surprisingly good. I had the trout and my father had the steak. We enjoyed the company of the other guests at our table. The show itself had some very enjoyable dancing. The horses at the beginning were a bit silly and the last dance with a sort of S&M-type flavor seemed out of touch with modern values. Do I really need to see women in corsets and fishnets lying on their backs with their legs apart? My only major complaint was that the music was so painfully loud that I had to close my ears. I finally went to the bathroom and stuffed toilet paper in them to make in tolerable. I realize that I am a bit more sensitive to loud music than the average person but this was loud enough to be painful. I am sure that the volume was above the recommended levels of safety. I highly recommend bringing ear plugs.
I do not think I can express how amazing this show was in words other than ...OH MY GOD WOW!! This was the cherry on top for an amazing vacation in an amazing country...and we got to watch an amazing show...fantastic singers...dancers...musicians...there was even a horse...yes a horse...thankyou...well done
It was a wonderful event. We enjoyed the show so much. The pick up driver was on time, and very friendly. Thank you Viator!
Great seats…overlooking the circular stage…and the tango was great! Especially the aerial stuff! And singers were great…and the horses! That was a real surprise! It was a huge production that worked like clockwork! It was a much grander extravaganza than the other tango show I went to. Definitely go to this one! It’s the best!
Please note - this is not really a tango show, it is a stage production. The first 40 minutes or so were quite good with some dancing - but then for the next 45 minutes it is just one guy singing and talking. Since we don't speak Spanish it was really boring. Regardless of which language it's in, I don't want to hear a guy sing and talk for half of a tango show! The sound system is also not quite up to standard, it was very loud and high pitched making it quite uncomfortable at times. Bottom line - if you are just looking for a fun night of entertainment then this might be a good option. But if you are looking for a more serious tango show then look somewhere else (we saw Rojo Tango and it was excellent in an intimate venue - same length of time, no guy talking for half it).
The show was great, but my problem is with Viator platform not using the proper exchange rate for ARS. I got charged more than double that was expected and they refuse to reimburse me. They show you a price in ARS but then they charge using the "normal bank rate" which no other credit card does. It should be charged at the same rate as credit cards (MEP Rate)
Señor tango is actually a very good place. The dancers were the best. The service was great, but I was disappointed because of how I got tricked into buying a high value ticket. I almost paid three times as much as the local fair and there was a lot of empty places as it was not booked. The reason is that independent operator Charges with the regular dollar rate l, when all Argentina uses the blue dollar rate which is almost tripple the value. And having this ticket as nonrefundable, even though I bought it almost a month ago, means that they know that they are using people to just make money out of this and I think tripadvisor should stand with this customers and not with the independent operator.
The tango show was amazing! Great experience! The service when ordering food was a nightmare. They got my drinks wrong 3 times. The 4th time it came correct. Overall, it’s a bit pricey but worth it for a one time visit.
Magic experience!!!, very nice, achieved my expectative. I definitively can repeat and recommend this experience when you visit Argentina
