Beautiful scenery and local life - we learned and saw alot. Fun excursion outside the city. Better than the mass boat tours but there's not much else in Tigre. Found the shopping and restaurants lacking in town but that doesn't detract from the tour itself. Easy Uber ride from BA, 20-28k ARS. The departure dock is very isolated and difficult to find. My Uber was concerned about dropping us off in the middle of nowhere with no signage. Father and son operation but it seems to be a side gig as they are both usually teachers so the tour may not go everyday even though it is listed as such.

I was blown away by this tour of the Tigre Delta, it had amazing views and such a genuine person to teach you about it. It became my absolute favorite day in Argentina!! What stands out about this tour is the local guide who quickly became a new friend, Sergio! He was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, down to earth, and friendly. I speak intermediate/advanced level of Spanish and could converse with him very easily. Even my husband who doesn’t speak Spanish could understand some of the things he explained because he spoke slowly and clearly with many hand gestures. We learned so much about the delta!! He took the two of us for a 4.5 hr private tour, a “nautical safari” on the delta. Because the boat is small, we got to navigate the tiny remote canals the large boats can’t get to and see the houses on stilts along the river. He pointed out all of the cool animals/birds, plants, and old abandoned ships along the way and explained the local way of life. It seems to be a pretty quaint peaceful life. We stopped for lunch at a local restaurant on the river. Sergio is a professor and former tango instructor and insisted on teaching us the basic steps of tango while we waited for lunch- how fun!! 💃🏻 the tour is very customizable, he gives you options for things to do like stop for a swim in the summer or hike if you want! we made a short stop at his house to see an example of the inside of the homes. We then stopped for a quick hike through a bamboo forest and headed back to the dock. He took some great pictures for us as well! A very special day, we will miss you Sergio!! At $120 USD per person it was very cheaply priced for the value, I highly recommend booking with safari náutico!
We had a great time with Lautaro during our Tigre excursion. He molded the excursion exactly to what we wanted to do and was able to share his knowledge of the delta’s history, culture, and ecology. I’ve done other Tigre tours before, more geared towards mass tourism. If you need something specialized, I would recommend this type of tour instead.
Lautaro absolutely blew us away with his knowledge of Argentina and the Tigre Delta. He speaks excellent English and provided an experience that was the highlight of our trip. Lautaro is very responsive via WhatsApp which helped us know what to expect and to come prepared. I cannot recommend this tour enough! Our three children loved visiting the sandbar and learning about the local birds and wildflowers. Lautaro weaves history, culture, and nature together in this beautiful tour of Argentina’s Tigre Delta. He helped us experience Argentina as only a local can. 5/5 stars! We will definitely do this again if we ever find ourselves back in Argentina.
BEST TOUR!!! Our captain and guide were the most wonderful father son duo who expertly cruised us around Rio de la Plata and more. They pointed out different animal and plant species and took us to lunch off the beaten path at a fantastic family run local restaurant where we had incredible empanadas, and even had an impromptu tango lesson! A truly beautiful day, spent with wonderful people. A MUST DO when visiting Buenos Aires! 10/10
Amazing! Only way to put it! Etienne made it such an excellent experience informing us of the background of the area, including the development of the new islands. Be aware that it is a small boat...a zodiac, That provides the ability to traverse specific areas not available if you were traveling on a larger vessel.
I had an amazing afternoon on the delta! Lautaro was knowledgable, friendly, and lots of fun! I would definitely do this tour again.
It was my best friend and his wife's last day in Buenos Aires and they wanted to do something more fun than we originally had planned. Enter Fernando. I asked if he happened to have any last minute availability for a trip and he said sure, not a problem. He replied swiftly, with great information and accommodated our schedule completely. We arrived in Tigre for our trip and met Sergio, who took us out for the excursion. What an amazing human being! He took his time explaining all sorts of fascinating information about the river and surrounding areas. We had some amazing views and a very fun boat ride. At the end, we proceeded to a nearby restaurant where we planned to have a quick bite to eat and wrap up the day. The experience turned into more than 2 hours where the four of us swapped stories with Sergio and laughed probably harder than I have at any time in the last 10 years. Sergio, who was simply our guide, became a great friend that evening. We plan on coming back out with Sergio on his boat to enjoy the river again this summer, just to hang out! I cannot recommend this tour enough, the people behind the operation are incredible human beings. They will keep you safe and having fun throughout the entirety of your experience. 11/10
Amazing tour of Tigre with Sergio. He took us to areas of the delta that larger boats cannot reach. His knowledge and passion of the region is outstanding. Very educational. Would highly recommend. You won't regret it !
This tour was great. Our guide Lautaro has years and years of knowledge about Argentina and the surrounding areas. It was fun to see. There is so much history in the Tigre’s area. The routes and rivers ate vast.
My husband and I had a wonderful day with Lautoro! He was informative and enthusiastic as we took respite from a very warm day (96 degrees!) to explore quiet, shaded canals - enjoying the flora, fauna, and specifically - the birds, along the way! Our efforts were rewarded with 34 different bird species, multiple butterflies - and a bonus otter! We also spent some time experiencing the bay's fine, silty mud as the low tide enabled us to get in the water up to our mid-calves/knees. All of this was capped off with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. The best part? Getting to know, and learn from, Laurtoro who generously shared with us the history, culture, and current events of El Tigre. Getting to our pick up spot, from Buenas Aires via uber, was efficient and not too expensive. We highly recommend taking a tour with Safari Nautico to round out your understanding of this beautiful part of the world!
We wanted a day trip from Buenos Aires, but didn't want to spend the day In a large group on a fixed itinerary. Also very interested in birds and wildlife. So lucky we found this trip, just the four of us in a zodiac getting into the back water s of the delta where the big boats can't go. Had lunch at a very cool bar on the water, definitely off the beaten track. Our guide Etienne was fantastic, and knowledgeable as well. The trip felt like going out on the water with a friend. Just a perfect experience for us. Great day and highly recommend !!
I was in town for business and only had one afternoon of free time, and I sure am glad I chose this outing! Sergio and Sophia were so fun, kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable. The scenery was beautiful. Sergio even took me for an impromptu waterski. I will always remember this wonderful adventure.
Hands down one of my best experiences in Buenos Aires. We took an adorable train from the city to travel to the Tigre area and were met by our guide Lautaro promptly at the set meeting time. Our 4+ hour ride through the delta including a thorough history of the region as well as amazing details about everything from flora to fauna to fish! Lautaro was so knowledgeable about the area, every question we had from ‘Why is this house here?’ to ‘What kind of flower is this?’ he was not only able to answer but was prepared with a set of books that had many photos to help elaborate on the rich bio system of the area. We stopped at one river house that had the BEST pizza I’ve ever had. I spent two weeks in Argentina and this was one of my favorite experiences from the trip! At the end he dropped us off at a massive market that sells everything from furniture to mate cups and I was able to find very reasonably priced souvenirs to take home with me. I would definitely recommend this experience to anyone visiting Buenos Aires, it’s a fantastic day trip filled with amazing experiences.
We had the most lovely day with Lautaro, drifting through the magical delta of Tigre. I could not imagine someone more fit to give this tour, as Lautaro seemed to know every nook and cranny of the delta—from where certain birds nests were, to what kind of tree/flower/plant we were looking at, to where the water is shallow versus deep, to the entire multi-century history of the “river” (that we learned is actually an estuary). Plus, he is just an overall kind, genuine, and relaxed person to spend a day with. Highly recommend!
Lautaro was a perfect guide for our family! We had an amazing few hours exploring the Paranà Delta and learned all about the wildlife on and around it, and the people who make their home here. Lautaro adapted to what we were interested in the most and taught us about the river snail that my daughter was fascinated with. And he knew exactly the places to show us where bigger boats can't go and we could have our own special time as a family exploring. This day was one of the highlights of our time in Argentina.
Lauti is a fabulous guide to a mystical place, the many canals off the river in Tigre. He is generous with his knowledge of these magical waters and congenial and fun to be with. An afternoon to remember! Experience it for yourself.
We were in Buenos Aires for a week and went out onto the Rio de la Plata with Lauti. It was a terrific trip! I love the nature and all of the beautiful sites. Lauti was an amazing guide and even took us to a very nice bar where I have the best Caipirinha I’ve ever had. He even brought nature books, so we could identify the birds and fish and flowers that we were seeing! He is really a pro! This was certainly the highlight of our trip and I would recommend this tour to anyone who is going to Argentina or would like to see the Rio de la Plata with an expert second generation tour guide. Fernando was also very nice. He is the owner and I always felt like he was a really good guy. We felt safe and never had any problems. If you want something, that’s a little more interesting than the giant boat tours and will take you places where the locals are. This is the tour for you.
I had the best day with Sergio and Etienne!! They showed me interesting places along the delta in Tigre and took me places to swim and water ski. I learned a lot about life in Tigre but even more important, I had so much fun on the boat, zipping through the rivers between islands. I had a permanent smile on my face all day and was only disappointed when it was over. I highly recommend this tour over other delta safaris if you would like to try water skiing to be free to move around the boat. This is a proper speed boat unlike others that use zodiacs and you must remain seated.
Genuinely perfect experience on all fronts- the communication leading up to the trip was excellent, the boat was phenomenal, and the tour was amazing. However, the best part about our time was Sergio, our guide- he was so joyful, knowledgeable, and fun. This experience was the best part of our trip to Buenos Aires so far!
We enjoyed a wonderful day on the river! Great tour guides! Very knowledgable about the area and very friendly an professional. Easy to meet up on arrival and had a great day.
Sergio & Lautaro are just amazing ! Love how they explain during the visit and they are so kind. That was the most amazing thing that i Did since i am in Buenos Aires, thanks to them !
We had a great time with Lautaro, we started in the afternoon and stayed in the delta for the sunset, a lot of great information with spectacular sights. Pretty littleittle side streams, beautiful homes, and a surprise when we were standing in kneedeep water in front of Buenos aires while miles away from land. Cannot recommend this tour enough! Make sure to have lunch of diner in the Delta as well, such lovely people and offcourse nice food!
Lautaro was really great and this tour is very special! His English was excellent which really helped us appreciate the history and the region. He’s also knowledgeable about birds so that was a plus for bird watching. The small dinghy boat is the perfect size because it allows you to go in super shallow water where you’ll get off the boat and hang out for a bit. We reached out in WhatsApp to book and got immediate responses. Highly recommend!
Sergio was terrific. We wanted to leave early and he accommodated our wishes. He took to places that no other boat could travel. Beyond being a wonderful tour guide, he is a kind soul who was very nice to myself, my wife, and my two daughters. I highly, highly recommend booking your Tigre tour with him.
What an incredible tour. Lautaro was super professional and really knows his ways around Tigre. He speaks great English too which was very helpful. He was friendly with our girls and our 9 and 6 year old had the best time. Made the best recommendations, and definitely one of the most memorable tours we’ve been on this trip. Highly recommend him!
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Buenos Aires. Sergio and Lautaro are very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. Sergio has been boating the delta for many years and can get in an out of narrow and shallow waters, so you feel like you are right there in the reeds with all the birds. We saw spoonbills which was just incredible and Lautaro had binocs and bird guides at the ready to help me identify what we were looking at. They understand the entire ecosystem and it was fascinating to learn about the delta. They also shared the culture of the residents of the delta, which was equally fascinating. We had a nice lunch at a locals place before floating our way back to the beginning. Can't recommend this more highly and we are very grateful to this father and son team for their knowledge and kindness. Oh..and Lautaro's English was great!
Sergio and his son Lautaro were absolutely fantastic hosts. They were welcoming, knowledgeable and incredibly warm and friendly - we felt at ease with them straight away. The location was amazing and is something we've never seen before. Sergio and Lautaro knew everything about the area and went out of their way to make it special. We stopped off at Gato Blanco and they were great company. It’s been the best thing we’ve done in Buenos Aires and we’d recommend it to anyone. Sergio and Lautaro really made the trip!
An excellent and fun guide and tour with Lautaro and Sergio the boat driver! The communication and ease of booking and planning was fabulous. We had such an in-depth and thoughtful tour, lunch at a restaurant on the river (with a secret winter dish recommended). They pointed out animals and meaningful sites, answered our many questions about the history of the area, and showed us the very narrow canals most boats can’t access. What a pleasure it was to spend the day with these guides! Argentina is well represented by them- as our first time visiting this country from the United States, they made an excellent first impression! Absolutely amazing tour and expert guides. Thank you Lautaro and Sergio!
Highly recommend this tour. Sergio and Lautaro were extremely passionate and knowledgeable about the delta system, ecosystem, wildlife and history of the Tiger deltas. You were able to explore the little nooks and cranny’s of the deltas with them and learn about the Islanders who live there. Very grateful for their knowledge and time—10/10 recommend this tour if you are looking to explore beyond the main rivers of Tigre!!
Had the best time with Sergio and lautaro, they were so kind, they also provided so much information. It was a beautiful day on the river, we also all went to lunch on the river. Highly recommend for a nice relaxing day
Awesome day navigating around the delta del Tigre. Sergio and Lautaro make a great team. They are super friendly and have lots of knowledge about the delta. We viewed the habited part as well as the wild part which was breath taking. Also had the time to stop for lunch at a beach bar as well as try some water ski. All and all a fantastic day on the water ! Highly recommend!
Very good We spend a very good day The place is so nice Father and his son were very nice team I recommand
Don’t look at any other Tigre tour, this one is hands down the one. The love and compassion shown for Tigre, the delta and the community is shown through. This was a highlight of my family’s vacation, excellent customer service. We got to swim, waterski, have a drink on a patio watching sunset and learn all about the deltas.
Cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Sergio and this experience. Truly one of the best days we have had in Argentina. He is so knowledgeable, warm, and lovely. We packed an enormous amount into one day and saw so many amazing things. He is a wonderful host and guide. 10/10!!
A very special day on the delta with two delightful men. Sergio and Lautaro really looked after us for the five hours we were with them. We have been to Tigre many times but this was the first time we had stayed a few days and our boat tour was the highlight. We learned so much about life on the delta and also had an insight into our guides’ lives. Thanks for encouraging us to have a dip in the river Plata too! And thanks so much, Sergio, for coming back the next day and taxiing us to and from El Gato Blanco for a wonderful lunch. We really appreciated it. We can’t recommend this tour or these two great guides more highly. Worth every cent!
Our trip with Safari Nautico and our guide, Fernando, was the best part of our visit to Buenos Aires. Not only did we learn about a fascinating ecosystem, but also about the unique way of living in the delta. If you're planning to explore Tigre, DO NOT MISS THIS! The extended tour is well worth the extra expense and Safari Nautico's experience and professionalism is top-shelf. When we come back to BA, we will certainly be doing this again. A great experience with great hosts.
Such a lovely day in the sun where we got to learn about Buenos Aires and the river. A wonderful duo.
Sergio and Lautaro were perfect guides! We had the best time! Definitely recommending it to everyone I know.
That was the highlight of the trip. It is indescribably beautiful when you come directly from the greater Buenos Aires area over the river into the delta and feel like you are in another country. Lautaro can answer all questions about the delta and tailors the tour to your wishes. What he has to share is super interesting. The flora and fauna are very impressive. A fantastic balance to the city. Absolutely recommended if you are in Buenos Aires.
A very nice discovery with the kindness of Sergio and his wife for a private discovery. Rudimentary but effective boat passes everywhere. Excursion to do
We had a really fun and interesting day in the Delta. We sail through rivers and streams where catamarans do not go and cross the Paraná de las Palmas to visit the protected area (biosphere reserve). The peace that transmits the environment is immense! Sergio knows the region very well and will tell you very interesting things about the area, as well as being a very nice person. It is a highly recommended tour and worth repeating!
We didn’t want to get to know the area with a large group on a large boat, but to discover this incredibly beautiful place as a family. On the Internet we happened to encounter Nautical Safari and the positive and personal opinions aroused our interest. Wow, it was worth it. It was our last day in Buenos Aires and Argentina, and Sergio, with his passion for the area and his boat, provided us with unforgettable memories. Nature is wonderful and the excursion is adapted to every type of person and preference, so that everyone comes home with a big smile on their face and wanting to stay longer. Sergio is a very cheerful and incredibly nice person, and his joy and enthusiasm are infectious. We are infinitely grateful for the wonderful day we spent in Tigre and will remember it very fondly for a long, long time. Jacqueline (Germany)
Incredible place full of nature, these small boats of no more than 5 or 6 people go deep into the delta between willows and lianas, at times we must bend down to pass, the guide Sergio incredible, allowed us to swim to lunch and ...discover it you move to your air
It was an unforgettable experience. Sergio welcomed us and accompanied us all day until we saw the sunset!! A genius. 100% recommended. We spent a great family day. We'll do it again. Thank you for making us feel happy in the Tiger we love so much!!
It was a very interesting tour. The guides explained very good the history, the animals, how the Delta works and the life between it. We went walking on a sandy island. And for the kids he really liked it when they could run the boat the same. We visit wide and narrow canals, canals where people live and where nature reigns.
Today I took a private boat tour in the Tigre Delta with Sergio and I am thrilled. Although winter is in Argentina, we had sunny weather and pleasant temperatures – ideal conditions for this tour. The booking went uncomplicated via WhatsApp with his son Lautaro, who could communicate very well in English. The organization was also top: Punctual start at the agreed meeting point, friendly welcome and a well planned route. Sergio was our guide – an experienced boat driver with a lot of knowledge of the region. Since he speaks only Spanish, an interpreter was also present. Normally, his son does that, but he was prevented. Nevertheless, they did everything they could to ensure that the tour could go ahead as planned – I found that very thoughtful. The ride took us through the beautiful waterways of the delta, past impressive nature and many native plants and animals. I was particularly pleased about the sighting of a black kite and a red-winged oven-tube bird. Local life was also exciting to observe – many houses, gardens and small jetties along the banks. A highlight was the stop on a quiet island where Sergio has his weekend cottage. There you could especially enjoy the silence and seclusion. The motorboat was clean, comfortable and just right sized (4–6 seats) to explore even more remote canals. The duration of the tour was ideal – not rushed, but with plenty of time for explanations and observations. The Price quality ratio is very good: You pay a little more than on larger group tours, but you get a personal, tailored experience. I can fully recommend the tour – for nature lovers, peace seekers and anyone who wants to experience the Tigre Delta authentically. I hope to come back one day with my family!
Incredible experience with our guide Lautaro!! He took us to the best places in the delta, stopping to explain all this wonderful surroundings very well. I greatly exceed our expectations, we did not imagine it would be so amazing! 100% recommended
Compulsory tour if you want to know Buenos Aires. The guides are very well prepared. unmissable trip. I recommend it to everyone
That was great. Visit all the landscapes, get in the water and touch the mud. See the fauna and flora so beautiful. The only thing I didn't like was that we stopped for lunch in a lovely place, and we had to invite the guide to eat. I think that should change it, since the excursion is well charged as for that kind of unprofessional thing.
