Ignacio was beyond fabulous! We learned so much about the history of Argentina and the city of Buenos Aires that our heads were spinning. Ignacio is a wealth of knowledge-he had answers for our questions, he was engaging and pleasant, and he paid attention to making sure the pace of the information was working for the group. I would recommend him in a heartbeat. Take this tour!!!!

I completely screwed up our meeting place and Nicolas did everything he could to help me. We met up half way through and toured the cemetery. I was so disappointed when it was done because I could have spent days listening to him. Knowledgeable and incredibly intelligent and kind. I absolutely recommend this tour and ask for Nicolas !
Wonderful historical journey through Palermo and Recoleta weaving in the Argentina story. About 1hr comfortable strole on the way to the Recolrta cemetery. Great stories of various mausoleums and history of the cemetary.
Ignacio was incredibly knowledgeable and gave us so much insight into the area, history of Argentina, and the cemetery. This was really worth it!
What a fabulous morning we had. Nico was full of great, knowledgeable information which he related to us with passion. The walk took in some lovely parts of Recoleta, ending at Evitas crypt in in the cemetery. We both really enjoyed the walk and learning more about Buenos Aires history.
Ignacio was friendly and easy to understand. His historical knowledge taught us much about the history of Buenos Aires, Argentina and surrounding countries. His English was top notch, and we would highly recommend this tour.
Fantastic time learning the history of BA while enjoying the architecture and beauty of the city. Nicholas was amazing! His love and passion for his city really shined. We loved the walk to the cemetery as well as inside. AMAZING experience!! Highly recommend!!
MUST DO!! Nico was our phenomenal tour guide who brought the rich Argentinian history and culture to life. It was not a lecture but an engaging conversation the entire time. We learned about politics, economics, and the intricacies of European influence in modern day Buenos Aires. Nico is an expert on these subjects and brings humor and fun every step of the way. Highly recommend this fabulous experience.
Wonderful tour! Our tour guide, Nico, was incredibly knowledgeable and gave a well versed history of the city during our tour. We didn't realize how much walking we would be doing (about 2 hours around the city and then 1 hour in the cemetery). Overall about 5-6 miles of walking.
Loved this tour! Our favorite of the trip. Nico was so knowledgeable (and we have tons of questions) and fun. He brought the city to life! I liked that he came into the cemetery with us at the end as well to provide even more information.
The guide did not show up at the agreed time. As a result, there was not a tour. Company did not communicate this to us in advance.
This tour of Recoleta and the cemetery was excellent and truly enhanced our visit to the area. Our guide was a wealth of knowledge and shared rich historical context, cultural insights, and meaningful stories that brought the neighborhood and the cemetery to life. We learned far more than we would have on our own! If you are interested in understanding the history and evolution of the area, and the significance of Recoleta Cemetery beyond just walking through it, this tour is absolutely worth it. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants a deeper, more meaningful experience.
We had such a wonderful tour with Sofie. She was thoughtful, energetic. And very knowledgeable. She opened our eyes to things we never would have spotted on our own. She had histories and stories and anecdotes that increased our knowledge of Buenos Aires as well as the development of Argentina. Hope that the next person who signs on for this tour has the advantage of meeting Sofie.
Excellent tour! Sofia was informative and insightful! Her passion for her work shows with her enthusiasm to share her experiences!! Would highly recommend this tour.
Nicola was incredible. One of the best tours we have ever been on and I would recommend this to anyone visiting the city. I could have walked around all day listening to the stories Nicola told.
I’ve been to 35 countries. People ask me which is the most beautiful place you’ve ever been. My answer is well if you’re talking man-made, it would be La Recoleta cemetery in Buenos Aires. Natural beauty the island SYROS in the Aegean Sea.
This is one of the best tours I had in Buenos Aires! Exceptional value! Sophia spent 3 hours walking with me around the city, highlighting different places and telling a story behind each of them. Her knowledge and attitude was just amazing! Highly recommend taking this tour!
Nicolas was an excellent tour guide - knowledgeable, personable, and able to answer all my questions. It ended up just us and I felt extremely comfortable with him and would 100% recommend this. If I were staying longer I'd do another tour!
Such an interesting and informative tour learning all about the history of Recoleta. Nico was an excellent guide who really brought Buenos Aires to life and the small group size meant the tour was really tailored to our interests and we could ask lots of questions. Fasicinating insights and stories about the area and the people who lived there. Fabulous, would thoroughly recommend
Ignacio was an amazingly knowledgeable and interesting tour guide. His explanations and humour made the experience so much better than we could have anticipated. Thoroughly recommend any tours he takes and the Cemetery was excellent.
I would recommend the trip as it was so interesting and the guide was very knowledgable and answered all of our questions. Well worth taking the time to join the tour.
This was the perfect intro tour to Buenoas Aires. The guide is super knowledgeable and helps you understand the past and the present of Buernos Aires. We loved our experience and learned a ton. Highly recommend.
It was much than just Recoleta. It was a wonderful Argentinian history lesson. Our guide, Nickolas was excelent! His English was perfect and he was a wealth of knowledge!
Ignacio is a history professor and was excited to share his knowledge. He provided a thorough and enticing overview of the development of Argentina past and present infrastructure and cultural stories as we walked by historical landmarks, parks and mansions leading up to the infamous Recoleta cemetery. It was a cool day and we stopped for coffee. He shared sunscreen at the cemetery and was mindful of all of our group members. Cemetery admission was a separate fee, but we got our money’s worth!
Ignacio was a wonderful tour guide. Very knowledgeable as well as entertaining. He provided both historical and current context for what we were seeing. We never felt rushed and it was like spending time with a much more knowledgeable friend. I can’t recommend this tour enough.
Really enjoyed the experience. Ignacio did a great job as guide. We were keen to learn more local history and certainly weren’t disappointed.
Ignacio is very engaging and full of interesting stories about how Recoleta came to be and what its people have been like. Very interesting and curious stuff, from a super-knowledgeable and local guy. I especially found it unexpected and peculiar about the Freemasons buried in Recoleta Cemetery and their mausoleums and sculptures, given the overwhelming Catholicism of the society in general.
Excellent tour led by incredibly knowledgeable local guide. Many good tours are staffed by folks a couple of towns over who inform via "here is X and Y also happened." This tour though (led by Sofí) was delivered with a passion for the subject/locations that showcased the human experience along with relevance to modern experiences. We greatly enjoyed how Sofí relayed the history of various monuments/locations/individuals then encouraged exploration of the realistic & ethical implications of those events up to modern day. Pace was great & guide was considerate (regularly checking in & encouraging participants to rest/engage). Many times I've found tours to cemeteries, consecrated ground, temples, etc to be delivered in poor taste with either too little reverence for the location OR delivered with a dogmatic agenda. This tour did neither of those. Sofí expertly defined and described the religious contexts/influence of locations which are valuable to both Jewish and Catholic beliefs with respectful deference along with rational explaination of the socio-cultural value/implications. It should be explicitly pointed out how empatheticlly she delivered a tour through an incredibly complex (active) cemetery with major political value. Wear walking shoes and be ready to engage in thoughtful dialogue. This tour would be good for people who want to see interesting sights, but is ideal for folks who want to engage in dialogue & listen to understand the context/history of this fascinating place. 10/10 worth far more than the cost & definite "to-do" for trips to BA.
Nico is very knowledgeable. As an introvert, I was a bit worried about the interactive part in the description, but it was fun and durable. I'm glad I chose this tour to start my trip in the country.
Fantastic tour! Can’t recommend it highly enough! Ignacio shared a wealth of information about the neighborhood, the history, and Buenos Aires generally. And he was a pleasure to talk to. If you want a walking tour, look no further. This is it.
A great tour if you want to get to know Argentina beyond the most obvious tourist sights. Sofía is a great guide with loads of knowledge and answers to pretty much every question we could come up with.
Nico was so information and a fantastic tour guide. His knowledge and passion really shone through and I had a wonderful time on his tour. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who is curious - come prepared to chat and learn lots!
What a great tour! Nico is knowledgeable on the topic and very passionate about what he does. I will definitely book other tours with him as well.
We toured with Nicolas and really appreciated his knowledge and ability to explain the history of Buenos Aires. The tour groups are kept small so that it is more of a personal experience. We started our first tour on the day of our arrival and got to experience Buenos Aires through the eyes of this highly educated, kind, fun and generous with his time guide.
This tour is awesome. It is packed with information about Recoleta, how it came to where it is today and will leave you with a much better knowledge of Buenos Aires and Argentina. Anyone coming to Buenos Aires should go on this tour. I would say it is by far the best thing we did in the four weeks we spent in Buenos Aires. Nicolas is extremely knowledgeable. Not only about his countrys history but also with tips to where to go (bar notables, museums, cities etc) when you are in Argentina.
Sofi was an incredible guide! She has extensive knowledge and speaks passionately on Recoleta’s history. She recommended a few restaurants and bars along the way, which I’m excited to try! I did this one after completing Nico’s other tour, which I’d also recommend!
Amazing walking with Nico, explains everything and answers kindly and with knowledge every question you have. Must if you want an experience beyond tourism.
I did it because they recommended it and it really exceeded my expectations and those of my group. We have travelled quite a lot and rarely have we done such a complete tour. Thank you!
Ignacio knows his subject. He is a passionate person. He likes to talk about his country and his city. In fact, he is a history teacher, and like any history teacher he is interested in everything. He's able to make connections his client's country. Thank you for the nice visit. You're welcome here.
Nicolás is a wonderful Guide. Competent, cultured and prepared on the history of the city. I highly recommend him and his association for any tour in Buenos Aires
It is an incredible experience, the stories of the story and the clarity, as well as the detail of the events, allow you to enjoy and have different sensations, I recommend it 1000%
We made Recoleta for Curious People, along with my partner. The experience far exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Nicolas, was very friendly and gave us a very interesting account full of small historical curiosities, ended up giving a very enjoyable dialogue between all the participants, of history, politics, urbanism and sociology. We are happy to have done so, he clarified several doubts we had about Argentina, so fascinating, passionate and incomprehensible to foreigners, in our case Chileans. We thought that maybe the tour would be long and the opposite happened, it took a lot and nobody noticed, it really is worth it. Thanks Nico!
The tour is fascinating, Nico has a lot of knowledge and transmits it in a pleasant and simple way. Always open to resolving doubts, it was a very rich way of knowing the culture, history, customs of the country. You rating that Nico enjoys what he does, we feel on a walk with a friend. Do not hesitate to take this tour, you will enjoy it from start to finish.
