we were passing though Buenos Aires on our way to the Antarctic, and we decided that the best way to utilize our time there was to hire a professional guide, after a quick online search, we found nicholas, he did not disappoint not only is he an exceptional photographer. I was traveling in Buenos Aires with my mom and her friend, both of whom are avid photographers. I booked a semi-last minute photography tour for them with Nicholas on our first night here, scheduling it for the following evening. I was able to message Nicholas over WhatsApp. He was very responsive and took all the information I gave him about our goals. I explained to him that while I was familiar with the city from having lived here, I did not really know what the optimal photo areas were, particularly when it comes to evening and nighttime photography. Moreover, since my mom and her friend were experienced photographers, they wanted to take photos of specific things (notably the street art in Palermo Soho). Nicholas was very helping in coming up with an itinerary for us. He met us at our apartment before the scheduled time and even brought two tripods for us to use (which we requested and ended up not using - poor guy had to carry them around for a few hours). We were able to shoot photos during the golden hour and at sunset into twilight of various views of Buenos Aires, in line with what we asked for. Nicholas is an extremely friendly and personable guy. It was clear from speaking with him that he's very passionate about photography. During our outing, he was highly attentive of our needs and even provided both my mom and her friend (who's an award winning photographer), many pointers and suggestions. It's rare to find someone who is so willing to teach others his tips and tricks of the trade, much less being able to effectively communicate them to others. I highly recommend Nicholas as a photography tour guide or as a photographer, and 100% wouldn't hesitate to schedule this again.

I had an amazing photo tour in La Boca with Nicholas Tinelli, and it was truly one of the most memorable experiences of my time in Buenos Aires. From the very beginning, Nicholas was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable. He took the time to understand what kind of photos I wanted and explained how the session would flow, which made me feel relaxed and confident right away. He has an incredible eye for light and composition, and together, we were able to capture the energy, culture, and soul of La Boca. I did a 1-day photo tour in Buenos Aires with Nicholas and absolutely LOVED it. We went to La Boca, San Telmo, Puerto Madero, El Centro.... all while walking & talking. I enjoyed a photo tour to San Antonio de Areco with Nicholas. From the first interaction, he made my husband and me feel like we were long time friends. He was very responsive and had some great ideas. I would normally choose to do street photography but this time chose to do portraits of an artisan and a gaucho. Nicholas goes above and beyond by providing a follow up video call session in order to review edits and share his workflow. Wow what a day and evening with Nicholas! We visited off the beaten path areas of the City. Was patient and knowledgeable. Worked on composition, camera settings and how to get a good shot. Had an evening session where worked on unique light that the blue hour brings. Besides knowing his stuff, a lot of fun talking and touring the City. Been in photo yours, but hands down this was my best experience.

We were on our way tor a trip to Antarctica, we decided to stay 2 days in BA. I reached out to Nicholas to help me take places to try street photography and twilight in BA, I could give him more than 5 stars if I could. He is throughly knowledgeable. I learnt so much from him also he gave an amazing rundown on the history. He was also extremely accommodating, our travel was delayed because of flights but he changed the 2 day itinerary to one day. It was a wonderful idea to book two tours with Nicholas as I got to see many different neighborhoods. The character of the city really shines in its unique neighborhoods. We had a lovely day walking in La Boca (before the tourist rush) and then through San Telmo. We shared mate and Ubers and conversation and it was like I was with a friend. It cannot be overstated how valuable his knowledge of the city is and having someone who speaks the language and understands the rhythms is so worth it.

For 2 full days, we had a great time with BA with Nicholas who showed us around the city. He was conscientious about our safety even as we went about taking pictures. He was flexible and open with the day's itinerary and put in an effort to accommodate what we wanted to do. His warm approach with the locals was something that made the sessions with him special. Will certainly look him up again the next time we visit Argentina.

Nicholas is an amazing photographer with over 25 years of experience. Throughout our 4 hours Buenos Aires walking, he was extremely passionate about the history and locals everyday lives. He had showed me multiple locations to sip in the true Buenos spirit. Par with his patience and excellent teaching (I learned more about capture sunset rays and architecture angle), it is easy to choose his workshop if you are a photographer of any levels.

Nicholas is a lovely fellow who knows and loves the city well. He took me to many of his favourite places and tailored the tour to my interests. It was a pleasure to spend three hours with him. I wouldn’t have gotten some of the photos without his help. You don’t need be a hard core photographer for this tour, he’s just a great tour guide; knowledgeable, thoughtful and a nice bloke. When planning our trip to Buenos Aires, I began looking for a photographer to not only to act as a tour guide, but to take advantage of their experience and knowledge to advance my knowledge and skills as a hobbyist photographer. Nicholas was quick to respond to my initial email inquiry, and was very responsive during our conversations to answer my questions, inquire about my experience as a photographer, determine what I was looking for during our time together, and offer suggestions regarding what might be helpful and enjoyable. The morning we met, Nicholas was already waiting as we had planned, and we chatted for a short while, getting to know each other a bit, and talk about what we had planned together. Our day progressed quickly, and Nicholas took me to places that offered good photographic opportunities, all the while providing feedback on ways to improve and develop my photographic “style”. My wife and I did three private tours with Nic and definitely one of the highlights of our time here. - Nic is able to look after photographer and non photographer alike, with lots of great advice on composition and location, but also lots of info about the culture, history etc of the places we saw in Buenos Aires. - A great guide and we were able to see so many places and often at the times where they weren't packed with tourists. We saw so many different places in Buenos Aires! An amazing place. - Super nice guy and we really enjoyed spending time with Nic - Great advice on many other aspects of Buenos Aires, eg restaurants, cafes, where to buy my steak knifes and even a driver. Starting with photography can be quite overwhelming with all the new information but luckily I took a private classes with Nicholas and it was the best. During 4 classes he explained all the basics of photography and I had to opportunity to practice with all the different elements. He also provided reading material after each lesson which also helped with my understanding. He is a great guy and the classes where a lot of fun. It was also a wonderful way to see different parts of the city. We had class in the beautiful nature reserve, but also in the busy streets to better practice different techniques. If I had any questions, Nicholas always had answers. He also helped me with different options for buying a new lens and always has great tips for the best places to visit!
