It’s a full day as the journey there & back takes time and when you are there there is a bit of hanging around waiting for the riding, food and dancing but if you just relax into it it’s fine. The food is plentiful as is the wine, we were lucky as it was a dry sunny day - not sure how fun it would be if it was raining!

Explore the town of San Antonio de Areco and visit a traditional "pulpería," a classic South American store selling essential goods. You’ll also discover the workings of a craft chocolate shop and learn about the town’s history before heading to the Estancia.
Argentina is famous for its expansive farmland. Since the country's establishment in the late 19th century, it has focused on agricultural and livestock exports, particularly in the fertile Pampas region. At the estancia, enjoy horse riding or a sulky ride while tasting traditional cold cuts, cheeses, and drinks. Lunch features a classic Argentine barbecue made with premium meats. After dessert, experience a folklore performance followed by a gaucho skills demonstration. This experience offers a deep insight into Argentina’s rural heritage and landscape.

Hearing about the gaucho lifestyle and what makes the lifestyle so special in a peaceful environment away from the city
The Estancia Tour was a memorable experience from beginning to end. The knowledgeable tour guide prepared us for what was to come at the Estancia with a wealth of information. The welcoming staff and the exquisite empanadas set the tone for the rest of the day. The gentle horse riding around the estancia was a lovely way to see the countryside on the back of these gentle creatures so intertwined with the gaucho culture. The expertly cooked asado was superb and the generous portions of food and malbec made lunch a very festive occasion, and, as our tour guide reminded us, “sobremesa” the lingering st the table well after the meal concludes, is often the best part. But that was not the end… Following lunch there was entertainment, and entertaining it was! The musicians and dancers were great and very engaging with the participants. And the “Grand Finale” was the horse demonstration by one of amazingly skilled gauchos. The way this young gaucho handled the horse, the trusting partnership they created was absolutely spellbinding. Oh, one last thing… if you are fond of dogs… this is a version of Dog Heaven
Pablo, our tour guide was extremely professional & highly knowledgeable. The escape to the countryside was most welcome. The entire experience was mind blowing. The food was amazing. The staff @ the ranch were welcoming. Highly recommend this tour
Our family took a day trip from Buenos Aires to San Antonio de Areco and the Estancia which included horse riding, delicious lunch, folklore show and a dance with a local Gaucho. Marcelo was our guide. He is very personable, knowledgeable and is excellent with both adults and children. Highly recommend!
Our private tour to San Antonio de Areco and the Ombu estancia was wonderful. We couldn’t ask for a better guide, Pablo, or a nicer day!
First class. Highly recommended. Our guide Enrique was excellent.
Estancia was attractive and well run. Excellent food and entertainment. A great introduction to guacho history and life. Our private guide was very knowledgeable for our trip to and from the estancia and help us organize where to be, and when, to maximize our viewing and photo opportunities.
We did day trip from Buenos Aires to San Antonio de Areco and the Estancia where we had horse riding, lunch and folklore show including dancing with locals. Pablo was great guide, helpful, provide so many good information and advices about Argentina. Everything was organised perfectly, on time, smooth and easy, food was delicious. Great experience.
We had a wonderful day with Marcelo, he is truly a gifted and knowledgeable guide. With many years of experience, Marcelo was able to give us a clear understanding of the history and culture of Buenos Aires and Argentina. This was our third time visiting an Estancia, and I can say the three were all different in certain ways, and all were fun. Marcelo had specific knowledge of this Estancia and was able to give us a unique perspective on its history. This was a wonderful day trip when visiting Bueno Aires and would highly recommend this activity. Thank you Marcelo for a wonderful day.
We hired a private guide (Diego) through Viator and had a great experience. He was made to be in the business, paying total attention to us and ensuring we got every possible thing we could need taken care of. We stopped in town and did a little silver and wool shopping, and then headed off to the estancia which was absolutely beautiful. We ate a LOT of beef and fabulous empanadas, took a nice walk through the grounds, watched some dancing, and even did a little trail ride. Highly recommend!
An amazing experience into Argentina’s most iconic region—Marcelo was the perfect guide—warm, knowledgeable with excellent command of English—the day was well planned with great series of accessible activities, from horseback riding and dancing to swimming in an infinity pool—all the while meeting and listening to guachos —highly recommended
Pablo was an Outstanding tour companion. Extensive discussion about Argentina and the surroundings during city departure on the drive to Estancia. Had one stop enroute in a small town to visit chocolate and silver smith stores. Included a visit to local gaucho pub. He provided over 50 pictures/videos he took of us at Estancia. Horse back ride for 45 minutes, gaucho music and dancing, and group guest dancing. Horse whisper performance was great. Food was excellent with at least 7 different meats served.
This is a great tour--it's educational and entertaining with wonderful views of the pampas on the way. The guide Enrique showed up exactly when promised and helped to provide the best spots for enjoying the music and demonstrations.
Went on a 9 hour tour to a gaucho ranch and a family silver smith business in a nearby town. Wonderful experience, rode a horse, had a tremendous meal, toured the grounds, learned a community dance, beautiful setting. Our guide and driver were great, Miriam from signature tours. Highly recommend.
We had such a fabulous time at Ombu de Areco. The estancia was gorgeous and we enjoyed all of the activities during our visit. Diego was an excellent guide and provided so much information and history about the ranch. The brief stop at the charming town of Areco was a nice bonus. He also gave many good cafe & restaurant recommendations while in Buenos Aires. It would be a pleasure to tour with him again when we come back. We highly recommend this tour. Thank you again!
Great experience with a very knowledgeable guide! Would recommend. It was beautiful and entertaining.
Our private guide, Marcelo, was excellent and made our day trip to Estancia very enjoyable. Marcelo has an extremely personable demeanor and is excellent with both adults and children. Marcelo is extremely knowledgable about Argentina and was able to articulate his knowledge both in English and in Spanish for my bi-lingual family. Highly recommend Marcelo.
Marcelo drove me and 2 other guests to the estancia for a wonderful experience. He is interesting, friendly and funny. He shared lots of information about BA and answered many of my questions. I enjoyed the 45 minutes of horseback riding. We ate enough food to fill you up for a week. Also, the folk music and dancing gave you a strong feel for gaucho culture. I strongly recommend this tour!
Marcelo was our driver and guide for a day tour to San Antonio de Areco and El Ombu. He was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and an all around excellent guide. We would highly recommend using him for any excursions in and around Buenos Aires.
Gus was a fabulous guide! The whole day was wonderful! Picked us us from the ship with all our luggage and set out on an adventure. Love the estancia-food great, rode horse and had a fabulous barbecue.
Included horse back riding for an hour a stop in a quaint little town, our tour guide Augustin was absolutely incredible. Lunch was fabulous bus was comfortable and the wine freely flowed! A dance show was after lunch. Well worth it. Highly recommend.
We traveled as a group of eight, and enjoyed the entire day! The lunch was more than we could eat but totally enjoyable, horseback riding was excellent, and the entertainment top notch. Thanks for the wonderful experience. The Lang Family
What an amazing day.. From we were picked up in the morning from our hotel by Julieta, from signature tours, until we got back to our hotel this evening, we felt we were in great hands. Julieta gave us lots of information about the city and about the surrounding area as we left Buenos Aires and headed out to the ranch. The rain didn't spoil our day at this wonderful working ranch. We went horseriding, had some wine and lots of food and were entertained by the Gaucho cowboys.. We laughed and danced into the afternoon.. This is a must for anyone travelling to Buenos aires... 🙏
The ranch was beautiful. The gauchos had well trained horses and they also danced up a storm! The lunch was also excellent.
Gaston our driver and Nicolas our guide were excellent ambassadors for Argentina. Nicolas was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Before arriving at the estancio we stopped in the gaucho town of San Antonio de Areco to observe a silversmith, lovely home and gaucho artefacts. The empanadas and wine as our welcome starter was followed by a horse ride around the property. A traditional countrystyle asado served on the lawns near the old Ombu tree was extremely tasty, varied and filling. A folklore show was led by a 5th generation 2 year old. The horsemanship was evidenced by the gaucho's horse whispering skills. A very pleasant day in the rural area. We highly recommend it.

Our day trip with Marcelo fulfilled our expectations. He was accommodating and gave us an informative day on the Pampas. The town sight seeing gave us a look at Argentinian life. The rest of the day at the Estancia was great. The food was good and gave us a taste of authentic cooking. I would recommend this tour to everyone. Good value.

Very beautiful experience of an Argentine estancia in the middle of the Pampas. Diego, our guide was perfect (his knowledge of the country: bookish!) An excellent and generous meal was served to us by the Gauchos after a horseback ride. Two shows followed: 1 of dance and the 2nd of very impressive dressage. Bravo to everyone
Very beautiful authentic experience that is an absolute must. Our guide Diego was incredibly efficient, he knows his country like the back of his hand and will know how to help you discover and love it.

Otimo passeio...vale realmente muito a experiência.
